imagine: dylan explaining on a talk show about how he first asked you out.

dylan: "i really, really liked her. i still do! and i wanted to do something different, you know? something out there."
interviewer: "something beyond dylan o'brien?"
dylan: "haha yeah! exactly, exactly. uh, and so i thought: flowers. girls like flowers. and i went to this florist near where we were filming and i asked the lady at the counter, like, i didn't want to do roses. i wanted something different. and she told me all these different flowers with their meanings, you know, like, gardenias represent loveliness and... uh, all these flowers, right? and i just went, 'all of them.' haha, 'give me all of them.' um,"
interviewer: "wait, and you got all of them?"
dylan: "yep. i walked out of this shop with a big bouquet of flowers, um, and i was so sure of myself. i was like, 'this will work.' but, well, when i went to give them to her she sort of stepped back? and i was like, 'oh, dylan, you idiot! she doesn't like them!' but, nope, she said she liked them. she's just extremely allergic to pollen."
interviewer: "so you could've killed her."
dylan: "yeah... but she still said yes, so, flowers work!"
