now, after reunited with her loved ones, 
the chaos of fighting caleb, the doom
of their unfinished business, and some rattling
 answers from an old friend, luke and his
girl finally get the time to reminisce on their
golden days - the days when they were falling
in love - and then the days when their adolescence
seemed like the sweetest dream. it's all of their
struggles, all of their darkness, tied into one
book of healing and togetherness.

W  E  L  C  O  M  E

so, the morning of the day i started writing this sequel, i was texting my dear friend hollywillow- . we were talking about ghost of us, and how much i enjoyed writing it and dearly missed the days filled with imaginations about my sweet couple, but how i was also glad the book was finished and their story was set. they're story was beautiful as it was and i felt no need to continue it. i felt at peace.

three hours later i had three chapters written for their part two. life's funny sometimes, and i fully believe it was just God giving me something to laugh about, even now.

so enjoy the book that was really never meant to happen, but, in every way possible, just took on a life of its own.

this book was something i never would've expected. like i said, i remember in a way being relieved ghost of us was over because it was stressful, it was draining, and i was finally happy with it and was able to put it out there polished and finished and sparkly. i was happy i had given them a story, and had no desire to continue it.

life, i've learned, always has other plans.

i got the thought, just minutes after our conversation, that i felt like my oc and the teens hadn't really talked and healed and bonded over their own traumatic experiences, and i knew i needed that to be a major theme in their next novel. also, i had so many ideas about my oc's past, especially her short life without the boys before her own death, i knew it begged a book of its own ((i was getting sick of imagines, and i wouldn't blame y'all for feeling the same way)).

i named it ghost of him because it is partly about her time on earth without him, what was probably the biggest struggle she had faced in her lifetime. the ghost of her love. the ghost of her friends. the ghost of her past life. but in reality, it's all of their struggles ((all of their ghosts)) tied into one book of healing and togetherness.

so, here's to part two. ((get it?))
