"What sort of deal was Marcus making with the Umbrellas?" Dahlia inquired as she followed Fei through the halls. "Perhaps the Umbrellas are pleading for there not to be a war between us," Fei speculated. "Well, they should've thought about that before they attacked us and tried to take our house," The blonde said sharply. Fei slowly nodded at her sister's statement as they walked down the stairs, summoning one of her birds to help her see.

Fei retreated to her room while Dahlia walked towards the sitting room, noticing Alphonso and Jayme eating from candy boxes, and a pizza sat in between them on the couch. We literally just ate dinner, and you ordered a pizza?ย Dahlia's stomach slightly grumbled. Even though the Thai food was mostly filling, she figured one slice of pizza wouldn't hurt. She walked behind the leathered couch, observing them as they watched a 90s Comedy.

She reached in-between them to the cardboard box, pulling out a slice of pepperoni. "Hey!" Alphonso took notice, watching as the blonde brought the slice to her mouth, her hand immediately freezing the pizza before taking a bite. "You are so weird when you do that. Can't you eat pizza normally?" Jayme rolled her eyes. "Oh, is eating cold pizza not normal? Cause I've seen you and Alphonso eat the leftover pieces from the fridge quite a few times, might I add... for breakfast?" Dahlia smirked.

"She does have a point there, Jay," Alphonso nodded. "Whatever at least I don't get a thing of Toastino's and eat it out of the packaging frozen," Jayme muttered. Dahlia grabbed a nearby napkin, grabbing another slice, ignoring the pair's protests. But unlike the last slice, it wasn't for her. Instead, it was for Sloane. Even though she was cold as ice towards most of her siblings, Sloane was the one person who she made an exception for.

Ever since they were kids, the light brunette had always been sweet to her. Before the accident, they would always be in her room, talking about what life would be like outside the academy. Sloane had always dreamt of finding a romantic partner to spend the rest of her life with. At one point, Dahlia wondered what it would be like to fall in love. But who could ever love her once they figured out she was an icy monster?

She knocked on the closed door of Sloane's room, hearing her sister step off the ceiling and walk towards the door. "Oh... Dahlia, I didn't expect you to stop by," she said with surprise. "Well, here I am," The blonde slightly shrugged. She opened the door just enough for Dahlia to slip in and the two sat on her bed, awkwardly staring. "I um, snagged you a slice of pizza," Dahlia held up her hand. "From Alphonso and Jayme?" Sloane questioned.

"Mhmm. Those two are like Gollum when it comes to their pizza," Dahlia smiled. Sloane cocked her head, wondering what she meant by that statement. "Remember the little gremlin dude from Lord of the Rings? The one who kept going, 'my precious, my precious!" Sloane's mouth slightly dropped and she nodded, remembering those movies. "Not my favorite, honestly. But it was nice to have the family together without any arguments," she noted.

She did have a point there. The only time they seemed to get along and not be at each other's throats, was when they watched movies together. Sure, there would be little spats over what movie to watch, but by the time they were watching whatever it was, all things would be settled. As the two women carried on their conversation, Sloane dug into the slice, wiping the pizza grease from her hands on the napkin. "Can I show you something real quick?" she asked as soon as Dahlia finished talking about her ice throwing practice.

"Uh, sure," Dahlia nodded. With a smile, Sloane walked to her dresser drawer, grabbing a thick book from the top. The front cover read, The Jetset Life, a travel guide containing information about all the greatest countries and places to go across the world. As she flipped through the pages, past all the photos of Italy, France, and Spain, Sloane gushed about traveling the world with her future soulmate.

"So, when were you thinking of going?" Dahlia questioned. "I don't know yet... but hopefully sometime soon. If we weren't keeping the city under 24/7 watch, I'd leave this place in a heartbeat." Dahlia's face slightly fell at the thought of her leaving. The thought of The Sparrow Academy not being all eight of them anymore made her sad. Sloane took notice of the prolonged silence, seeing her sister's look of sorrow.

"I wish I could go with you," she murmured. Sloane wrapped her arm around the small of Dahlia's back, whispering that she wished she could come with her too. "How about we make a go of it? Whenever I'm in France, I'll invite you up there, and we can walk around the streets and eat at the best cafes. After that, we can watch the city of lights turn on!"ย

For some odd reason, Dahlia felt a connection to France. She didn't know where it came from, but part of her felt like her soul belong to the romantic country. Perhaps there was a life for her out there. Perhaps there was someone from her past who was there waiting for her. "That would be magnifique," Dahlia whispered, a small smile at the edge of her lips. "Okay, deal!" Sloane softly chuckled, embracing the icy Sparrow for a moment before pulling away, returning her gaze to the travel guide.

"Dahlia, wake up! DAHLIA!" a voice screeched, making the blonde quickly sit up in her bed. "Huh? What's going on?" She mumbled, wiping the tired out of her eyes. When her vision cleared, she could see Fei towering above her, with Ben and Christopher waiting outside her door. "Come on, get dressed. You're coming with us," she commanded. "Whoa whoa, before you start barking orders, tell me what's going on," Dahlia interjected.

"We'll tell you on the way. Now, get up!" Ben ordered, slamming the door shut as Fei exited the room. Dahlia quickly changed into black leggings and a white sweater, brushing her blonde curls behind her. On the way out the door, she grabbed her black coat from the rack and wrapped it around her, instantly feeling the cold April breeze blow through the city. Though the icy part of herself thought it felt good and awoke her senses. The somewhat normal part of her felt her teeth slightly chatter.

"You've kept me in the dark long enough. Tell me what we're doing out here," Dahlia spoke up. "Marcus didn't come home last night," Fei answered, spawning a few of her ravens. "And we have reason to believe those Umbrella sons of bitches took him," Ben added. Those little... I knew something seemed suspicious about him going off last night. Perhaps luring him in was their plan!ย "And what do you propose we do about it? We have no idea where they are now," The blonde pointed out.

"Speak for yourself. I see one running through the park," Fei responded. "Which one?" Ben inquired. "The man with the muscular ape body," Sparrow 3 clarified. They slightly picked up the pace as Fei sent more of her birds in his direction. The Ape-man soon stopped in his tracks after seeing the number of ravens staring at him, looking like they were ready to peck his eyes out.

As they all flew towards him, He ran in the opposite direction, and Dahlia smirked as they had their target right where they wanted him. "Get him, Chris!" Ben commanded, sending the cube after him, angrily whirring and chattering. The ape-man constantly looked behind him, letting out whimpers and pants as he attempted to outrun them. But as he looked in front of him again, he ran into a light pole, completely knocking it to the ground and shattering the glass.

As the murder circled him, Dahlia thrust her hand out, the spewing ice quickly encapsulating his body, his head being the only part of his body free from its clutches. "Hello there, stranger," She smirked. As the ape was about to open his mouth and respond, Ben walked up to him and knocked him unconscious.

"Let's get him back to the Academy,"
