Dear diary,

The second week of school went alright. I am starting to get the hang of what is being taught, and only remembered a few of my classmates' names out of forty people because I am bad with names like that. Surprisingly, Sha has not gotten sick of me yet and it feels nice having a friend as well. Everyone else has been decent to me and I would say I've been adapting quite smoothly. I got to try out many different food cuisines, but the weather is sometimes annoying because it rains almost every single day.

It is almost the end of the month and I still haven't gotten the monthly text I am supposed to get from Nicandro. I guess he has gotten too busy for me. But I can see the work he has done for Spain, and I couldn't be prouder of him for gaining back the royal name back. Since I left, the protests have gotten much worse and it was also revealed that Felon's real name is Rodrigo. There was this whole case in front of a judge and thankfully Nicandro's entire family was not dethroned.

What worries me the most is that no one has heard from Felon since the night of the winter ball. He must have been delighted that Nicandro's grandfather is dead but obviously not pissed that the family which abandoned him still claims the title. Sometimes I have nightmares of him breaking into the castle again and shooting up everyone in Nicandro's family.

It really does feel nice to be living a normal life. Going shopping in a mall, reading about celebrities gossip, making new friends and discovering new hobbies. Speaking of hobbies, I recently have gotten into ice skating. But I guess it would feel nicer if Nicandro was in it...

"Dinner is ready!" I heard Breton's calling and put my diary into the drawer below my desk before heading down to the living room.

The aroma of teriyaki chicken and mashed potatoes filled my nose and I felt my stomach grumble, "Smells good," I commented on his cooking skills. He could've totally been a chef if he wasn't a lawyer.

I went on to help him set the table and we sat at the opposite ends of the table for dinner. I let out a 'hmm' sound as I took a bite of the teriyaki chicken. It's freaking delicious.

"So you're managing with school alright?" Breton asked as he took a sip of his red wine.

I swallowed the mashed potato, "I'm getting the hang of it. I got a physics test tomorrow, I think I can nail it."

"That's great, think you'll be able to manage on your own soon? I don't want Susan to suck up more money in my wallet than she has to, her fees are bloody expensive."

I let out a soft snort. Susan Hargrove, my private tutor for the past three months. Her portfolio was super shiny; top in her class in her private high school graduated from Yale and worked at a prestigious law firm in New York for ten years. Breton knew her from when he worked with that law firm in a supreme court case together. About five years ago she decided to switch her line of work to private tutoring. She has tutored the president of America's daughter, a countess in Brighton and several billionaires' children from around the world.

And then there's me, an orphan who lived on the streets for four years and didn't receive any education. Off the books, I'm the biological descendant of two very famous drug lords and have an inheritance to three five star hotels.

"I was thinking of letting her tutor me for another month, till I'm sure I can handle it."

Breton nodded this head, "Of course, but I'm positive you can handle it. I don't think I've seen someone as eager about education than you."

I shrugged and put another piece of teriyaki chicken into my mouth, "I guess that's what happens when someone is deprived of education for four years."

"So I take it as you've made some friends as well?"

A small smile appeared on my face when I thought about the fun times I've had with a few people, "Yeah, Sha has been nice to me since day one. Sherwyn, Zachary and Fidyana have been great company too."

"I'm glad to hear that, so-"

"Enough about me, Breton. I would like to question you about the nice smell of lilies I woke up to this morning," I gave a smirk to him.

His side of his cheeks started to turn crimson red, "You noticed."

"You should be glad that I'm a deep sleeper and didn't hear you guys doing the..." I slowly sipped on my lemon juice for a more dramatic effect, "Nasty."

He cleared his throat, "Well..."

"Yes?" I prompted him further, knowing where this is going.

"I wanted to ask you if Helena and her daughter could come over for dinner next week."

Breton met Helena at a New Year's party, and have been seeing each other ever since. I've been dying to meet the women behind the reason as to why Breton has been extra smiley the past few months now. I knew that once she slept over, it would be time and I was right. Plus, she's Russian as well which makes this more exciting for me.

"Heck yeah, I've been waiting for this for quite some time now."

I really jinxed myself yesterday, because I'm quite positive I flunked the physics test.

"I'm so flunking the test," Sha scrunched her face up as she pushed the chair under the desk.

I flung my bag over my shoulder, "I think everyone's going to flunk, that test was ridiculously difficult."

"Well uh, not Sherwyn," She scoffed.

She's right, he's a smartass. Top of the cohort. The reason we started talking was that we're the only foreigners in the class, though Sherwyn has been in Singapore for five years now so he had familiarised himself with their way of life. To describe him in simpler words, he's a ridiculously tall Philipino guy, even taller than Nicandro and obsesses too much about Fortnite. He kind of got me into that game as well, but I always end up dying three minutes into the game.

"I heard my name," Sherwyn said as he walked towards us.

"What's your answer for question 4?" I asked him.

He recalled for a second before replying, "Seven hundred fifty-four, you?"

"What? I got eight hundred and two!" Sha exclaimed.

"Same here," I added.

Sherwyn chuckled, "You guys forgot to subtract the kinetic energy."

I slapped myself on the forehead and Sha let out an 'argh' sound. Well, there goes two marks.

Sherwyn put one of his hands on Sha and I's shoulder as we walked out of the classroom, making our way to English class, "Don't worry, let's go try the new flavoured bubble tea which ShareTea has just released after school and you'll feel much better."

I frowned, "What's bubble tea?"

Sha's eyes widened as if I just asked her what's my name, "You've been living in Singapore for three months now and you've never heard of bubble tea?"

I shrugged in response. Yeah I'm super outdated with the trends, didn't need to be called out on that.

"Americans call it boba drink," Sherwyn added on.

Sha stood in front of me and dramatically put both her hands on my shoulders, "It will change your life, Tiana."

I raised my eyebrows in scepticism. It's just a dri-

Holy moly, it tastes freaking amazing.

I let the delicious taste of the milk tea go down my throat as I chewed on what Sha called it 'pearls', "Wow." was all I managed to say.

"Yes! I knew you'll love it the second you taste it," Sha dramatically put her hands up and continued to sip on her drink, which was called passion fruit green tea if I remembered it correctly.

"It tastes like... milk with tea," I joked.

Sherwyn laughed, "That's the meaning of the name."

"Wefie time guys!" Sha exclaimed as she took out her phone, me and Sherwyn leaning in for the photo. She then went on busy typing on her phone which I assumed that she's posting it on her Instagram story.

"Remember to tag me in it," Sherwyn said as he peeked in on what Sha was doing.

"Chill Pinoy, I'm doing it right now. Also, Tiana, I can't believe you're not on any social media apps," she was still busy on her phone as she said that.
I just shrugged, "Social media isn't my thing."

And especially helpful when you're supposed to be dead.

Sherwyn cleared his throat, "Ladies, shall we go to the library now? Fidyana and Zach are already there."

"Eh, I'm just dreading doing homework," Sha replied.

"Who isn't?"
