Jimin's Wedding || 15
××××××××××××××
"I do," Aera heard her brother say through a smile that showed how happy he was and eyes staring at the girl in front of him, who had managed to win over his heart successfully, beating all the other girls in the world who ever tried to hit on Jimin.
"You may kiss the bride." The priest said, nodding subtly with a warm smile as the couple were lawfully wedded from this instance.
Jimin's smile never lessened as his hands came up, gradually lifting the net veil to reveal his wife's beautiful face smiling at him shyly. Her honey-brown eyes stopped for a moment, locking with Jimin's, reflecting the same level of happiness and contentment that he had. She looked down, closing her eyes as Jimin leaned in kissing her lips softly.
The guests cheered for them, clapping and popping Champaign to celebrate for the newly wed couple. The bride and the groom smiled, bowing slightly to the people who were attending the wedding ceremony.
Aera was smiling too, sitting with her other oppas as Jungkook was hosting the event and stood on one side of the stage, frequently speaking in the microphone. The couple sat on the special seat, decorated nicely with white and golden flowers, looking like the king and queen together.
"Congratulations hyung and Haewon noona." Jungkook spoke into the mic, smiling at the elder couple who smiled back, "Now that my brother is marred, I think I can say this, good job bro!"
The guests chuckled, while Jimin just shook his head smiling at his brother's words, as Jungkook continued, "I'll be honest today, I never imagined myself standing up here and giving a speech on hyung's wedding. Even though it was an inevitable truth that was bound to happen, I just never imagined it. I wish I did, I wouldn't be so nervous then."
"It's okay," Jimin said, laughing a little.
Jungkook smiled at him and nodded, "You often say it feels like I was a baby just yesterday, but today I'd like to be to be the one to take you back in time when I called you hyungie."
Jimin smiled softly, glancing at Haewon who was listening equally as fond as Jimin himself. The brothers' bond was something really beautiful to her, one of the purest and most genuine familial relationship she had ever seen in her entire life.
Jungkook's hand gestured towards the screen behind him as a picture of their father holding a bundle of blankets, smiling widely at the baby in his arms.
"Our journey starts here, October 13, 1995. One of those fortunate days when this world was gifted with an awesome human being." Jungkook said, the slide moves on and the little baby is now a toddler, dated February 24 1996. "After a really hard research, I came to know his first word was 'Dad', as expected from our dad's champ." Jungkook smiled, chuckling with the people watching the slideshow and listening to him.
The picture changes again, and the little Jimin is now seen holding a baby in his lap, hugging the new child and smiling widely. His eyes had reduced to crescents between his overflowing happiness. September 01, 1997.
"Believe me or not, after this particular moment, Jimin hyung was never left alone-"
"You keep clinging onto me." Jimin joked.
"Anyways," Jungkook said, pretending not to hear his brother's statement, making the people laugh. The slide moved ahead, Jimin is now four and Jungkook is between one-two years. The pictures seems to be taken at night, for the lighting is dim and the two boys are in the kitchen, digging in the tub of ice cream. Jimin is wearing his pajamas, while baby Jungkook is just in his diaper.
"Aww" Haewon cooed, squeezing her husband's hand, "you both are so cute."
"Noona, I prepared all this especially for you," Jungkook said, "because I'm sure hyung didn't tell you these dark secrets."
"Thanks a lot." Haewon laughed.
"No problem," the younger grinned, gesturing his hand towards the screen that was now displaying the picture of the boys, in school uniforms looking much older than the baby pics, "I still remember this, it was my first day of middle school and I didn't want to go. Hyung said he'd come to see me with his friends during recess so that I don't feel lonely."
Aera chuckled amusedly, enjoying the slideshow and Jungkook's fun commentary on it. Her eyes never left the screen, forgetting how she was crying earlier at the thought of Jimin moving out now. Jungkook glanced at her, recognising his favourite sound of laughter and smiled at the sister.
"Here, I won't lie, this is still one of our favourite days." He said, glancing at the screen after the picture changed into the one where Jimin held their sister for the first time in the hospital. Jungkook is seen standing beside him, staring at that baby girl with excited eyes. December 20, 2007.
Jungkook said nothing after that, letting the pictures speak for themselves and memories to sing along. Each person present there saw how the younger siblings practically grew under Jimin's care. From being a supportive hyung to Jungkook, to being a Aera's best oppa, there was nothing Jimin never did for them.
Seeing the last picture from two days ago when Aera was crying, hugging him tightly as she asked him if it was really necessary to move out, Jimin felt himself being in tears. Tears that showed how thankful he was to have Jungkook and Aera by his side and how he would too have some difficulty getting used to not having them around.
"There are still a lot of moments that got lost somewhere in between. It wasn't possible to gather all of them, but I hope we always remember them and keeping cherishing them." Jungkook said, smiling softly, "You're married now, so definitely things are going to change a bit. We... especially our Riri, will have a hard time, but hyung you don't have to worry. I'll manage everything, maybe not as good as you, but I'll try my best. Have a happy married life hyung and noona."
Aera looked down, feeling her tears returning just by the thought of the eldest brother moving out. Taehyung let out a soft chuckle, wrapping his arm around the younger girl and hugged her.
"It's okay, princess." He whispered, rubbing her back.
"I miss him already..." Aera mumbled as a line of tear coursed down her cheek, having her lower lip puckering into a pout.
"Don't cry kiddo, it's your oppa's wedding day. Do you want him to cry to?" Yoongi said, patting her head. The girl shook her head and wiped her tears, making the older smile softly. He cupped her face, planting a kiss on her forehead and said, "You should be more happy, baby, your brother found such an amazing girl to share his life with."
"I am happy," Aera said, sniffing softly. "It's just I don't know how I- I will live without him."
"It'll be okay, don't worry."
"Hm," Aera said, getting a nod in response from Yoongi, making her smile, "Thank you appa."
Before Yoongi said anything further, Jungkook had called Aera's name from the stage, asking if she had something to say. Yoongi and the boys nodded, gesturing her to go and congratulate her brother too.
The girl stood up and straightened her knee length dress before walking up to the stage. Jungkook smiled at her, stepping aside and lowered the mic for his sister to speak.
"Congratulations Oppa and Unnie, it's a beautiful day, just like you both. Uhm Koo already said a lot, and I don't really think there's much left. But still, Jiminie oppa, you're the bestest person I've ever met and I'm so happy that you are my brother, eldest one actually. Because I don't even know what would've happened if Jungkookie was the eldest, we'd be feeding on tacos maybe?"
Aera giggled on seeing Jungkook huffing, pretending to be offended, while the Jimin and the others chuckled, "But thanks to Jiminie oppa we got proper meals. He's done so many things for me which I can never thank him enough for. But one thing I can do is to wish my oppa a happy and lovely future with our pretty Haewon unnie. Thank you... and uhm I'll miss you oppa, oh and I love you always."
Jimin stared at her with fond eyes, sending a kiss in her direction, making Aera smile. He nodded his head and opened his arms, smiling as the sister quickly went to him, hugging him tightly, "Thanks a lot for that." He said, patting her back, "I never realised when my little girl grew up so much."
"Just today," Aera mumbled on his shoulder.
"Aera, are you crying?" Jimin pulled away, chuckling softly as he saw his sister's everexisting signature pout.
"I'm okay," She said, replacing the pout with a smile and turned to Haewon who was smiling at her, "I'm happy for both of you. You look good together."
"Aw thank you so much sweetie." She said, touching Aera's cheek. "We'll have a girls' night soon, okay?"
"Yes!" Aera nodded excitedly, forgetting that she was upset a moment ago, making the older girl chuckle.
The couple stood up as everybody was now heading to the dining hall, where the bride's parents already stood, making sure the guests were comfortable and having a good time. Haewon's father raised the first toast, eyes glistening with warm tears at the thought of his daughter leaving his hand and going away with some other man.
He raised his glass and said, "To my children, may you two have an amazing bond and your love never fades. Stay blessed, have a happy married life."
"Cheers!"
The elders raised their glasses together before taking a sip while Aera stared at them, sighing deeply at the fruit juice she was given. Her eyes wandered to her side, noticing that Jungkook was talking to someone and not paying attention to her. A mischievous smirk crept up her lips along with the bulb of ideas glowing in her head.
She casually stood next to him slipping her hand towards his glass of wine, smoothly pulling back with the glass in her grip. Just when she thought her little plan was successful, the eldest brother's voice filled in her ears, making her flinch and withdraw her hand back.
"Hm?" Aera turned around, tilting her head in confusion as she was trying her best to act like nothing happened.
"Kids don't drink that." Jimin said.
"What?" Jungkook looked at him and then at Aera.
"I wasn't taking it for me oppa," She shook her head quickly, "I was going to call Koo to drink it."
"Yeah?" Jimin sighed, glancing at his wife who chuckled, seemingly loving Aera's little actions.
"This kid is amazing!" Her father exclaimed, laughing as he patted Aera's head, "We're so sorry, honey, but you're still very young to be drinking wine."
"...It's okay, I know." Aera sighed.
Jungkook laughed a little and hugged her from the side, "You want wine?" He asked amusedly.
"No... Uhm yeah, because I wanna do cheers with you."
"Ah I see," He nodded and motioned his hand for a waiter passing by and leaned near him to whisper, "Get an apple juice in a wine glass please."
The waiter nodded, taking his leave and Jungkook turned to face Aera again, placing his hand on her back, giving an assuring pat. The girl looked up at at him, frowning a little when he winked at her, taking the glass that the waiter just brought.
"Here you go," Jungkook smiled, "Cheers?"
Aera gasped, smiling widely at him and took the glass from him. Although her smile slowly dropped, releasing that the drink was just apple juice and not wine, "It's apple juice!"
"No, it's apple flavoured wine." Jungkook said, taking a sip from his drink.
"But it tastes like apple juice..." She said and held out the glass for Jungkook to take a sip.
The brother sipped once, nodding his head as if everything was okay and the drink was what he had said it was, "Yeah, this is how it should taste."
Jimin and the boys hid their smiles as Aera seemed to have fallen for her brother's trick and believed that she was indeed given apple flavoured wine which made her happy. With a contended smile on her lips, she clinked her glass with Jungkook's mouthing a tiny 'cheers', making the elders chuckle at her as Jungkook patted her head.
"You see I'm a big girl now, I can drink wine." Aera said proudly, speaking more specifically to Jimin, Yoongi and Jin, for whom they said she'd always be a baby.
"Yeah, sure." Jimin nodded for her, taking the microphone as Haewon's father gestured him to say a few words. He smiled at the older man who is now his father-in-law and brought the mic closer to his lips. Glancing at his wife, he spoke, "Finally, this day came and I can't thank you all enough, especially Haewon for saying yes that day and of course Mr and Mrs Han, dad and mom now, for agreeing to give their daughter to me."
"I'm so glad I met someone like Haewon, beautiful in all aspects and literally every positive adjective out there." He said, making the bride blush, "I promise to love you and cherish you with all my heart till the day I live. And dad, don't worry, I'll treat your daughter like the queen she is, my queen."
"Wow," Aera whispered amusedly, a little too loud for it to just be between her mind and tongue.
"Was it nice?" Jimin asked his sister, chuckling a little.
"Yep! Beautiful," The girl nodded, "Please give some nice words to my husband when I get married too!"
"Oh my god!" The elders laughed at her request, making her head tilt in confusion as she looked at her brothers as if asking what was so funny to make everyone crack up.
"There's a lot of time for that, princess." Jimin said, patting her head.
"Yeah, stop saying weird things." Jungkook said, probably not loving the thought of his little sister leaving him and going away with some man. Jesus No!
Jimin shook his head, laughing a little at the younger brother, and focused on speaking, "Today has been amazing so far. Everything is perfect as it can be, thanks to the effort you guys put in. My boys, all six of you, I couldn't have had better people by my side for all my life. I sincerely hope this lasts in future too. And my-"
"Me!" Aera chimed, making him smile.
"Yes, Aera, my sister or should I say my child?" He chuckled, "There's not been a single day that I've been sad with my Riri always being around me. It's always Aera who thanks me for stuff, but today I wanna change it a little bit. Thank you Aera, for always making me happy, for believing in me, and of course for giving me the 'Super oppa' batch. I hope it remains the same kiddo."
Aera smiled widely, nodding her head, showing that she agreed with her brother too and wanted their relationship to last like this forever.
"At this point, I won't even hesitate calling Riri my first daughter. Is it okay Aera?" Jimin said, glancing at his wife who smiled fondly, nodding her head and looked at Aera, seeing how happy she was.
Aera nodded, hugging Jimin tightly while standing on her tippy-toes, "I'm your baby?"
"Of course, haven't you always been my baby?"
"Yeah," Aera looked up at him and then Haewon, who smiled at her and patted her head.
"I'm a little offended though." She said, earning a frown from both Jimin and Aera, "Aera, he's just stealing my lines, I said that to him after meeting you the other day."
Aera gasped and looked at Jimin who said nothing, just smiled, "Oppa really? I guess I like Unnie more then." She said, leaving him and hugged Haewon instead who stuck her tongue out at Jimin.
"No, please we mutually decided it." Jimin said, slowly pulling his sister back.
"Yeah in your dreams." Haewon mocked.
"Okay okay!" Aera said, "Don't fight, don't fight! I love you both, okay?"
The couple stopped, staring at each other and then at Aera, breaking into a chuckle and nodded. Jimin hugged both the girls together, smiling fondly, too deep in love.

"We're here." Jungkook's voice made the girl to look up, eating her last spoon of chocolate-vanilla ice cream.
Her eyes wandered outside the window realising they were in front of their house now. The sky was covered with darkness by this time, a few tiny stars twinkling far away, making an imaginary face that was smiling down at Aera. She smiled too and glanced at Jungkook, following him inside the house where the two will be living without Jimin now.
"Are you tired?" The brother asked, stroking Aera's hair as she sat on the couch next to him, sighing deeply.
"A little bit," She shrugged, "do you miss oppa too?"
"Of course I do, but I'm more happy, so it's okay." He smiled, "We can manage here, right?"
"Yes," She smiled, "I'll help you, so you don't get tired."
"Thanks little kookie." He chuckled, ruffling her hair.
"Welcome big kookie." Aera said, laying her head on his lap and grinned up at him with a toothy smile.
