31) Four of Them

Wanda moved her hands down, staring at the wall where the TVA portal came from. She gave a heavy breath before turning around and seeing Strange and Loki both looking in more pain than she was.

She hurried over to Loki and helped her up, gulping a bit when she saw the large crack in the wall that Loki had made.

"You okay?" Wanda asked.

"Other than my back and the dress, yeah, never been better." Loki replied, brushing off her outfit.

She also shook her arm and a wash of green magic went over it, drying her from the slobber that Toad put on her.

Wanda walked over to Strange and helped him up as well. The desk hadn't broken from Strange's impact thankfully, but the chair that Strange fell onto after toppling over the desk did.

"And are you okay?" Wanda asked.

"It's not the worst experience I've had, it just caught me off guard." He muttered.

"So I guess that little tangent is over, back to the party?" Loki asked.

"Yeah, I need to make sure America is alright." Strange said, hurrying towards the exit.

Wanda walked back over to Loki and brushed a hand through Loki's hair, fixing a few loose strands. Loki did the same to Wanda, adjusting her curls.

Wanda smiled a bit, then gestured towards the door.

"Yeah, let's go." Loki nodded, and so the two walked out as well, back to the party.

Strange had found America, who had found the cheese balls once again. No one seemed to be hurt and the ball was still going so thankfully Wanda, Loki, and Strange were the only ones affected by the mutant.

The four grouped up and spoke quietly since Pepper had started her speech on the stage.

"We need to get out of here. If this Conqueror guy is after us then we're a danger to whoever is here. Let's go back to the sanctum, talk to Wong about this and figure stuff out." Strange explained.

"I agree. Time travel isn't going to work here now that we know what's going on. If he has Sylvie at the TVA or in some sort of prison she can't leave then going back in time won't do much." Wanda agreed.

"Plus my dress is ripped and I'm still salty about that but it's not appropriate to keep staying here with a ruined outfit." Loki continued.

"Then let's go back, we can do research on whoever that guy was." America added.

"Alright, works for me." Strange nodded.

Then they left.

The group, Wong joining in, now stood in the library of the Sanctum that once held the time stone. It had books that could hopefully tell them who this Kang figure was.

"So I tell you to keep an eye on these two and now we have another man who's a mutant to keep an eye on?" Wong asked, glaring at Strange.

"That's not our fault." Strange stated.

"That you know of!" Wong accused.

Strange glanced to Wanda and Loki, who were both standing together, flipping through different books.

They'd all changed out of their outfits and into more casual stuff, except for America who didn't have the clothes shifting abilities.

Loki was still in her female form, their clothes didn't change that.

"Kang Kang Kang. I swear I've heard that name before, why can't I remember?" America mumbled, pacing back and forth on the other end of the room.

Strange glanced her way as well before turning back to Wong.

"Look, you put me in charge of them and I will stay in charge of them. They haven't caused anything yet and I don't believe they will, but I'm still keeping an eye on them, just like I said I would." He said.

Wong glared at him before giving a huff and picking up a book to scan through, looking for any sort of sign of Kang.

"I bet he'd be in the Darkhold, I didn't read the whole thing but that other version of me was quite rude with destroying all the books in every universe." Wanda said, her voice low as she spoke to Loki.

"Eh, we have better books in Asgard. Once the sorcerers stop watching us then maybe I could take you up there one day." Loki suggested.

Wanda smiled, a faint blush crossing her face.

"That would be fun." She replied.

The ground rumbled after she finished and the five all glanced down before looking at one another with slight confusion.

It wasn't an earthquake, those didn't happen here frequently and those that did happen would be stronger. Wong gave a sigh.

"I'll go check." He said, beginning to leave the room.

He didn't have to.

The window that was on the wall in the library provided everything they needed to see, when a blur of fire passed by and a large stretchy arm moved around cars and civilians.

"Well that's new." Wanda mumbled.

"Hey I know them!" America said with a grin. "I fought with them once, sort of. Come on!"

She left the room in a hurry after setting down her book and the four adults followed her.

They made it outside and America's grin became a look of fear and confusion.

Cars were being set on fire and a giant rock man was smashing said cars to bits.

"That's not the Fantastic Four I know.." She said, her voice faltering.

"Great. More evil, enhanced individuals." Wong muttered, summoning his orange sparks as he walked out of the sanctum.

"America, they're most likely here for us but the Toad said especially you, go find a place to hide." Strange ordered.

"What!? That's so unfair!" America argued.

"It's safer." Strange stated.

"Weren't you the one who told me to go fight the Wanda variant BY MYSELF?!"

"Yeah! But now I'm here and there's four people instead of one!" Strange shouted.

"Ugh!" America yelled back.

A blue bubble appeared around America and the other three who were also around her took a step back from the sudden sight.

"This is The Invisible Woman's." America said, touching the bubble with her hand.

Loki summoned a knife and stabbed it, but it did nothing to break the shield.

"Shit." She muttered, putting the knife away.

The rock creature from earlier that was smashing stuff came over and went to grab America, but Strange casted a portal and sent him flying through.

Wanda raised her hands and red magic began swirling around the bubble, lifting it into the air and stretching it. She clenched her hands into fists and the shield shattered with a pop, causing America to let out a scream as she fell from the sky.

Wanda moved her magic outwards, below her, catching her with the chaos magic and letting her land gently.

"I could've saved myself." America muttered.

"Well you didn't." Wanda replied.

She grabbed America's wrist and Strange gave an uneasy glance to her.

"I'm taking her to safety. Deal with the three remaining." She stated.

America yanked her arm away and Wanda gestured for her to follow her, which she did, not liking as she did though.

Loki formed her daggers in her hands and green washed over her, putting her in an appropriate Asgardian woman fighting attire. Sif would be proud.

She went after the stretchy man, who was currently grabbing and moving civilians out of the way as a man on fire was blowing things up. Wong was working on throwing water on him with his portals but he was quick.

Strange was trying to figure out where the Invisible Woman had gone, since he never saw her and barely sensed her when she showed up the first time.

The stretchy man noticed Loki running at him and he began reaching his arms and legs out to her, allowing Loki the perfect chance to swing her daggers.

Wanda hurried through the hall of the sanctum, America on her heels. She found a door that she could sense had things behind it, so she opened it and it lead to a staircase.

"Come down here." Wanda instructed.

"Don't tell me what to do." America grumbled before hurrying down the stairs, Wanda following behind her.

They ended up in a low budget basement. The only cool thing about it was that on the other side of the room was a large dungeon like area. One had a large tree in it which was confusing, but Wanda decided not to question it at this moment.

"Stay here. If they find you here, don't be afraid to fight back." Wanda said.

"I'm not afraid! You guys are the ones scared for me." America shot back.

"Shush, don't notify them that you're here." Wanda rolled her eyes.

"If you weren't seemingly friends with Steven I would've portaled your ass into another universe at this point." America stated, crossing her arms.

"Good for you, we can discuss this later but stay. Here." Wanda ordered.

"Fine!" America walked over to a mess-covered table and brushed some stuff off it before sitting down.

Wanda turned and went to leave, but wasn't able to when a sudden blast of blue shot out at her. A blonde woman was revealed in the room and America's eyes widened as Wanda was thrown into the wall.

Luckily, the witch recovered quickly and she pulled herself up as the Invisible Woman went for America.

America flew into the air, but it wasn't a tall room and when her hair was touching the ceiling, her feet were barely off the table top.

Wanda threw a blast of magic at the blonde, but a blue force field appeared around her, knocking off the blast.

Wanda let out a sigh and she shot her hands in front of her, red magic streaming from her fingertips as red magic surrounded the woman, forming cracks in her shield.

America flew out of the way from the woman and Wanda threw her hands down, causing the field to shatter and leave the woman defenseless.

"America, get out. Now." Wanda ordered.

"Wow, now you tell me." The 16 year old scoffed before flying up the staircase and through the door.

Literally through the door, she didn't have time to open it.

The Invisible Woman became invisible again and Wanda readied her magic for attack.

Strange and Wong did their best to contain the man of fire, who had a significant similar look to Steve Rogers but that wasn't the important part, while Loki dealt with the stretchy man.

The man's body would stretch back and bend in unusual shapes every time Loki tried to swing at him, getting her annoyed very quickly.

"Die." She swung. "You." She jumped up and swung again. "Son." This time she slashed. "Of." She stabbed. "A." She dodged an attack that the man pulled on her. "Bitch." She swung her dagger at the man's arm.

She landed a cut and the man's arm retracted. She followed the disburst stretch which lead her to a man who was now restretching out again.

"Oh come on!" She shouted at him, throwing her dagger as hard as she could.

It went through the same arm she landed a cut on, and he let out a shout in pain.

Loki realized she'd been seperated from the other wizards, but that was okay. They could handle themselves for a little bit.

A TVA door opened behind Loki, but with the shouting from the stretchy man, she didn't notice.

She ran at the man and tried to slide under his legs, cutting at them, but then he grew and his legs seperated, throwing Loki off and making her lose a touch of balance.

She regained herself quickly and got up, now seeing the TVA door since it was on the other side of the stretchy man.

"Loki! Help!" He heard a cry from inside the door. It was Wanda.

Her first instinct was to run in and save her, and she did just that. Well, she ran in. The Stretchy man shrunk back down so Loki swirved around him this time and ran through the TVA door, immediately noticing how it shut behind her instantly.

Wanda's red magic flowed off her fingertips, small sparks flying off.

"Where are you, Invisible Woman?" She asked, her voice low. "I can till sense you here."

Wanda heard a gentle footstep and she turned around and shot a blast of magic, hitting one of the dungeon's magic cells and causing the magic to dispurst.

She heard a familiar sound behind her and she turned, red magic still flowing in her hands as she saw the TVA door.

"Do you have illusions too, Woman?" Wanda asked, turning back around.

A blast of blue magic shot at her, which Wanda caught and redirected with her own magic.

"You don't want the girl. She's a regular child with multiple powerful guardians. It would be foolish to try to take her." Wanda warned.

"We'll see about that." She heard.

She turned towards the noise, but it didn't matter because when she did, she felt something wrap around her body, magic.

She was yanked through the TVA portal with a yelp, then the door shut behind her.

Strange and Wong finally threw the fire man through a portal into the ocean and they gave a sigh of relief.

That moment passed when their superpowered child flew up to them with a look of fear.

"The Invisible Woman and Wanda are fighting in your basement." She said.

"I'll deal with her. Take the stretchy guy." Strange said to Wong.

"Mr. Fantastic." America corrected.

"I'm the Sorcerer Supreme, not you Steven!" Wong said, but then he did what Strange said. "America, go for his eyes." He stated as he summoned the ring of fire.

He charged towards Mr. Fantastic, summoning the portal to get him closer.

The both went through and began fighting together.

Strange portaled to his basement and wasn't surprised when an invisible force punched him in the face.

He hit a device on his wrist and summoned a string of orange sparks that formed into a rope like material. He threw it in the direction that the punch came from and it wrapped around something invisible.

The blonde woman revealed herself as she struggled to get out of Strange's magic trap.

"You won't win. We have two of you, we'll get you and the girl. It only takes a matter of hours." The woman said, a grin forming on her face.

"Delightful." Strange sighed.

My favorite quote of this chapter: "It's not the worst experience I've had, it just caught me off guard."
