The sound of knocking woke up Calliope; she took a knife beneath her pillow and stood up slowly, carefully walking towards the windows. She placed herself on the side of the window, moving the curtains enough so she could see outside. Juliette was there, holding onto the wall edges and uncomfortably kneeling on the narrow outside handrail.

Calliope sighed and janked the curtains on the other side, surprising Juliette who tensely smiled. Calliope didn't smile back, but she opened the window to let her in. Even if she was a vampire, the fall would hurt.

„What do you want?" Calliope asked as she crossed her arms and turned her back to Juliette.

„To talk. Listen, I know you're mad at me. You have all the right. But I didn't think I'd turn him. It wasn't my intention. I was trying to help him. I know you barely managed to adjust to me being a monster—"

„You're not a monster." Calliope sighed, shaking her head and turning around to face Juliette. „You're not. I tried to convince myself you were but… I can't. You're different." She stepped closer to her, moving her hands to hold her, but instead, she lowered them. Juliette grabbed them and placed them on her shoulders, where she thought Calliope might put them.

„I am sorry. I could apologize for days and it still wouldn't be enough. I… I tried to help him because…" Her voice got quieter. „I know how much he means to you, Cal. And I—I…"

„You what?" She whispered.

„I love you, Calliope." Juliette confessed. Calliope didn't answer immediately, didn't answer verbally; she got closer and kissed Juliette, their lips moving in sync, with the same passion like their first kiss at the party.

Calliope lead Juliette to her bed, pushing her on it. She giggled as she bounced but stopped when Calliope's lips were on her again. Clothes wrinkling, soft moans and feeling of hotness that was subdued by light breeze from open window, Calliope and Juliette found themselves under the sheets in their underwear.
