This song makes me think of my BFF, who is suffering from depression. She has a lot going on and is always in the center of attention of them, including a months-long fight between her and one of our friends. This song is like me saying to her "I will do anything to make you happy" because I will.

But "Happier" reminds me that, even though I do like her, my job as a best friend is to make sure that is happy no matter what, even if that means that I may not get what I want. No song can make me cry, but somehow, this one did. It hits me right in the heart where I care for my friend the most.
