The events from the previous day were still fresh in Everly's head as she sat in a booth at Granny's. Despite knowing that Killian had cured her of Jackson's magic, there was still a chill that seemed to cover her entire body. The only one who seemed to notice her discomfort was Sam, but he chose to keep it to himself. He knew that the Jones girl didn't want to make Jackson feel worse about what happened, even though it wasn't his fault. The silence that surrounded them as they ate their breakfast was soon broken by the Overland boy himself, who had been keeping his eyes glued to Everly the entire time.
"I am truly sorry for what happened," Jackson said for the millionth time since he was cured of the Snow Queen's curse.
"Jackson, you had no idea what you were doing. It's fine. Let's just let it go," the Purest Heart responded right as her phone began to ring, saving her from another conversation about what happened yesterday, "hello?"
"Hey, Evie. It's Killian," the pirate captain greeted her in a tone that made all the positive emotions fade from her body, "I need you to meet us at the clock tower. All of you."
After assuring the Jones man that they would head over there, Everly ended the call before telling everyone what was going on. It wasn't long after she finished speaking when they paid Granny for their breakfast and rushed out the door. No one said a word as they sprinted through the streets of Storybrooke while avoiding the civilians walking around without a care in the world. As soon as they turned the corner that would take them to the clock tower, they found all of their friends and family standing in front of the entrance. Not even a second after the teens joined them did they rush inside to face the Snow Queen.
"Hey!" Emma shouted as soon as she reached the top of the stairs, causing the Snow Queen to quickly turn and shoot an icicle at the Savior, knicking her neck.
"Emma! Now!" Elsa exclaimed, making the blonde woman take a step forward.
Before the Snow Queen had a chance to react, Emma held a candle out in front of her. It wasn't long after that when a flame magically appeared before the Swan woman blew the fire toward the woman in white. Everyone watched as the flames wrapped around her wrists before vanishing into thin air, leaving behind a pair of handcuffs that neutralize the Snow Queen's magic. Silence filled the air around them as they watched the woman study the handcuffs without a hint of worry in her eyes.
"You did it!" Elsa exclaimed with a large smile before pulling Emma in for a tight hug.
"You got me," the Snow Queen told them in a told that made a pit form in Everly's stomach.
While everyone else kept their attention focused on the woman in white, Everly found herself looking over at Sam, only to find him already staring back at her. Something wasn't right and they both knew it. After spending so much time trapped on Neverland with Peter Pan, it was easy for them to tell when someone was lying.

A day had passed since her conversation with Peter Pan and Everly felt more depressed than ever. She desperately wanted to get off Neverland and return to Killian and to the sea. The Jones girl hated being alone, even before Neverland. It reminded her of the time when she really was alone, to a time when she would sit in darkness and wonder why her parents gave her up. Everly always blamed herself, always thinking that something was wrong with her and that no one would want her.
Now, she felt like that again.
Being on Neverland made Everly feel unwanted and unloved, especially because she was usually on her own. The only time she didn't feel that way was during her rare moments with Felix.

It wasn't long after they arrived back at the Sheriff's Station when Emma and Elsa took the Snow Queen to the interrogation room. While the two of them tried to get answers out of her, Everly stood in the main room with Sam, Katherine, and the Overland brothers. All of them wanted answers to what was about to happen, but they also knew having everyone storm in there at the same time was a bad idea.
As the teens sat around in silence, Everly found herself looking over at Jackson, only to find him deep in thought with his eyes on the floor. It wasn't long before Jacob noticed the Purest Heart's attention on his brother, causing him to look over at Jackson as well. The older Overland didn't hesitate to gently elbow his brother, making Jackson look up to find everyone staring at him. The blonde boy hesitated for a moment before letting out a sigh and opening his mouth to speak. "That mirror in the clock tower. That's the mirror that made me turn. At least, I think it is."
"Am I the only one who thinks capturing the Snow Queen was way too easy?" Sam finally asked the question that had been bouncing around in his head since they caught the woman in white.
Before anyone had a chance to respond, the interrogation door opened and shut before Elsa entered the room. Everyone watched the Queen of Arendelle and waited for an answer as to what was happening in that room. However, instead of fulfilling their silent wishes, Elsa walked passed them and out of the Sheriff's Station. After letting out a disappointed sigh, Everly turned her attention back to the door and waited for Emma to walk out.
Another half hour passed before the Jones girl felt her patience growing thin. Despite the warning look she received from Sam, who could tell what she wanted to do by the look on her face, Everly got to her feet and walked towards the door. The Purest Heart just stood there for a moment before lifting her hand and gently knocking against the wood. What felt like an eternity passed before the door opened, revealing a very stoic-looking Emma.
"Can I come in?" Everly asked, causing her sister to send her a confused look before an innocent smile formed on the former's face, "I wanna see Storybrooke's best sheriff at work."
Emma stared at her sister for a moment before rolling her eyes and stepping aside. A large grin appeared on Everly's face as she walked into the room before the Savior closed the door behind her. As soon as the Snow Queen saw the Purest Heart enter the room, the smile on her face was replaced with a scowl.
"Why are you here?" the Snow Queen hissed, earning shocked looks from both of the sisters before Emma shook it off and sat down at the table.
"She's helping me," the Swan woman responded, only for the woman in white's glare to deepen, "what? Have something against her?"
"Yes, actually," the Snow Queen answered, ignoring the confused looks from the sisters as she continued to scowl at Everly, "she is not part of my perfect plan to bring our family together."
"What do you mean?" the Jones girl questioned, curious as to why a woman she had never met had a vendetta against her.
"Not important," Ingrid replied, making Everly and Emma let out annoyed sighs before the Purest Heart sat down in the chair against the wall.
"So, the Spell of Shattered Sight," Emma said after getting up to get a glass of water for the Snow Queen and placing it on the table in front of her, "pretty impressive stuff."
"What does it matter?" the Snow Queen responded as she looked up from the water with a small smile on her face, "you've stopped me."
"That's right. I did," the Savior declared while placing her hands on the table and leaning down to be at eye level with the blonde woman, "we know who you are. We know what you're planning. And we know that for some sick, twisted reason, you want Elsa and me to replace your long-lost sisters."
"Well, then. You have all your answers," Ingrid whispered just loud enough for the pair in the room with her to hear before raising her voice a bit, "may I retire to my cell now?"
"No. I want to know why. Why have you been tracking me my whole life?"
"I was trying to protect you, Emma."
"Is that what you were doing in the foster home? Protecting me?" the Swan woman questioned with a hint of anger in her voice, something that didn't go unnoticed by Everly, "so why did you erase my memories? Because they were just too good?"
"Every family has their ups and downs," the Snow Queen responded, earning an eye roll from the Savior before the former's attention landed on the Jones girl, "and I wasn't just tracking you, Emma. I was tracking your sister as well."
That instantly caused Everly to sit up straighter in her chair as she stared at the woman in white. "According to you, Emma and Elsa are your perfect family. What do I have to do with any of this?"
"It's not really you...it's your heart. It makes you immune to the Spell of Shattered Sight," the Snow Queen said in a causal tone, making it seem as though they weren't talking about her villainous plans, "I was hoping Peter Pan would finish you off on Neverland so I wouldn't have to worry about you. Unfortunately, he failed and you're still alive."
Everly felt a wave of anger wash over her as she glared at the woman in front of her. She felt her hands clench into fists as she took in deep breaths to keep herself calm. After closing her eyes and taking in one last breath, the Jones girl opened her eyes to find the Snow Queen smirking at her. Confusion flowed mixed with the anger inside her before Ingrid finally opened her mouth to speak. "Careful. Your magic's showing."
In response to the woman's words, Everly's attention fell to her hands, only to find them looking as normal as ever. It wasn't until Emma said two words that made the Jones girl's blood run cold. "You're eyes."
All emotions faded from Everly's body as she slowly turned to face the one-way mirror. The first thing she saw was her eyes glowing bright gold, the same color her hands turned when she used her magic. The Jones girl hesitated for a moment as she reached up to touch her lower eyelid. As soon as her fingers came in contact with her skin, the world around her plunged into darkness.
When Everly opened her eyes, she found herself surrounded by white walls. Panic filled every inch of her body before she ran in a random direction in hopes of finding something, anything but white. She soon arrived on the lawn of a large house she had never seen before. The only light that cut through the darkness of the night was coming from inside the mansion.
It wasn't long after that when the shouting cut through the air, causing Everly to turn around to find Killian tied to the fence with a garden hose. But what made the Jones girl's blood run cold was the sight of Rumplestiltskin standing in front of him. Without thinking twice, Everly walked closer to the two men to try to figure out what was going on. However, just as she was a few yards away from them, she was stopped by an invisible wall. Annoyance flowed through Everly's veins as she watched Killian exchange inaudible words with Rumplestiltskin. Not even a second after the last words were spoken passed when the Dark One plunged his hand into the pirate's chest and pulled out his heart.
"No!" Everly screamed as her eyes flashed open. A wave of panic washed over her as she sat up so fast on the table that she almost fell off, only for someone to steady her at the last second. As soon as she was able to calm herself down, she looked around to find Sam, Katherine, Jacob, and Jackson staring back at her with concern in their eyes. "I just saw something."
Jacob and Jackson exchanged a knowing look that only lasted for a second. The younger Overland brother soon turned his attention back to Everly and opened his mouth to speak. "What did you see?"
The Jones girl hesitated for a moment as she thought back to what she saw. An unwelcome wave of sadness washed over her before she quickly pushed it away and looked up at her friends. "It's not important. It was just a dream."
"The look on your face says otherwise," Katherine said after seeing the sadness and heartbreak in her friend's eyes.
"It's just...it felt so real."
"It, uh, it could've been a vision. Knowing what your magic is capable of, it probably," Jacob announced, drawing everyone's attention to him before he continued speaking, "that means whatever you saw will likely happen sometime in the future."
