over  steaming mugs of coffee the next day, arabella poured out her heart to aria, who listened with wide eyes. "what?!? i can't believe he said that," aria said, shaking her head. "matt is such an idiot. you're  amazing, bella. don't let him get in your head like that."

" i know, but sometimes it feels like i'm  competing with you. you are  everything i'm  not," arabella  admitted, her voice quivering.

"stop that," aria replied firmly. "you're  both unique in your own ways. matthew should be able to see that."

the conversation was a balm for arabellas wounds, but it also left her feeling more confused. was matt truly regretting his relationship with her? did he see aria as a better match? the doubts gnawed at her.
