LIFE SUCKED FOR BERNARD MEEKS. Bernard — or Benny as his friends called him — was the brother to Randy and Martha Meeks — an excitable, horror movie lover that seemed to get on everyones nerves, among those which included Tatum Riley — the younger sister of Dewey Riley, the girlfriend of Stu Macher, and the best friend of Sidney Prescott. Benny's role in the group was just to be another Randy — another annoying, movie fanatic, with better hair and better height than his brother — him being six foot two was the only attractive thing about him — at least, that's what he thought. Sure, a few girls liked him — all that he ended up scaring off with his jokes, movie knowledge, as well as his siblings weirding them out. But by the time he went into tenth grade, he began to fall for Tatum — the popular, cute girl with a fashion sense that made everyone stare — plus, she began dating Stu and made everyone know it. Well, until she saw him cheating on her. Stu Macher had cheated on the Tatum Riley with a random chick at one of his parties — she made sure to be mature about the confrontation — so she threw her beer on him and the girl and told them they were over — after that, she ran out of the house, trying to hide her tears as she drove home. So, later that night, she thought of the perfect idea to get back at her now ex-boyfriend — she was gonna move on quick to someone he least expected — and who would that be? Benny Meeks. When she called the Meeks residence and told Benny about the idea — it was very surprising — the two were dating, but only in public. The next day at school we very shocking to all. Stu was all alone, and Tatum was sitting on the lap of a very tense Benny — it was the first time any girl was showing him physical attention in public, and it was Tatum, his crush — the whole friend group was confused, Benny and Tatum? It was a joke to even think about them together, but here they were, stiff and awkward but still together and touching. It was no doubt that Stu was furious — so he asked the two when they got together and Tatum swiftly responded with a none of your business. It was clear that things were going to go downhill from here. To prove to Stu they were together, Tatum invited herself to the Meeks residence and told them that she would be staying the night — and although she usually thought further when she would plan, she realized that she would actually have to do what she had announced to them, Randy's big mouth would tell them that she didn't even go. So she came over and luckily, Randy was upstairs, so her and Benny sat across from each other on the couch — and every time she heard Randy — she would cuddle up with Benny. Sure, it looked real — but both of them knew that it wasn't. Benny would forever be stuck in the friend zone.
