Anyhow, as a child she never met her mom. Her mom had died giving birth to her due to high blood pressure and exhaustion. She was told her mom wanted her child to have a nice life, and to fulfill their dreams. Rina sticks to that perspective. Her dad tells her that she's basically a second copy of her mom. She grew up not telling others about her mom within the first few months of their friendship. She was scared they would pity her and not be real friends (instead they would stop telling her about their parents to "not put salt in the wound", even though there was no wound.) Her dad told her that her mom likes to travel a lot, and proceeded to show Rina the Polaroids her mom had taken on her journeys.
