𝘪𝘵'𝘴 𝘢𝘭𝘰𝘵 𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘪𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘳𝘺 𝘢𝘵 𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦

lauren had avoided leo as much as she could that day, she now sat with daniel, parker, brooke and sophie as they ate breakfast. leo was with hayley and some other eagles. the redheaded girl seemed uninterested with the conversation her friends were having about breaking into the ravens house.

"you okay?" brooke asked her friend as she noticed the lost look she held. however before she could answer parker beat her to it.

"guitar over there and woods' sister seemed to be quite close last night" he said as he remembered what the girl had told him and sophie.

"what?" daniel asked annoyed, as he finally involved himself in the situation. he didn't like leo and lauren together but he knew how much his bestfriend liked him and how there were something going on between them.

"it doesn't matter guys" lauren said trying to stop her friends from glaring at the two on the other table. hesitant on turning away they did when alex joined the table.

sitting next to sophie on the outside as lauren was stuck in the middle of parker and brooke in the centre of the table. she watched all of the ravens on the table with leo leave, leaving him and hayley.

alex noticed how the girl was distracted and turned his head to see what she was staring at seeing leo and his sister eating breakfast together. he felt upset as he remembered there was something going on between her and leo.

the girl had spent the morning with sophie and parker considering they had lessons together. but now she had meditation and had went to her room to change, after finishing when she was walking out she could see daniel in the boys changing rooms. the girl decided she'd sneak up behind him and scare him. however stopped herself when she saw him drinking some sort of medication.

the boy locking his locker and turning around being met with the face of his bestfriend. "hey, laur" he said nervously as he locked his locker.

"good practice?" lauren asked as she stared at him with accusing eyes that he was hiding something.

"yeah. we're gonna kill whitney" he said swinging his arms as his eyes visibly widened.

"i know you will" lauren said as she encouraged the boy, him walking closer to her.

"well, i gotta go. i got rock climbing class next" he said quickly as lauren looked up at him smiling, considering she was now shorter without her heels.

"cool. i have meditation coming up" she said as she noticed his stiffness, she knew he was hiding something from her.

"yeah?" he asked as he slightly bent to her level, before nodding and grabbing her face kissing her forehead.

"love you, daniel" she said as he began walking away. the boy smiling.

"love you too" he said to his bestfriend before he was out of her sight. she quickly made her way to his locker putting in his code, only for it to not work. she guessed he changed it. she turned and leaned against it as she stared at the spot the two once stood.

"what are you doing daniel hayward?" she questioned herself as she sighed out before making her way to mediation class.

lauren and the other eagles sat in their main room as they all waited for alex. she hated that she was going to ask him to steal for them but she knew he would be the only way they could considering she was avoiding leo.

"perfect timing, kid" daniel said as alex walked in staring at everyone with worried eyes.

"have a seat?" parker spoke up as alex walked closer.

"for what?" he asked before lauren rolled her eyes, she was annoyed at his sister and decided to take her anger out on him.

"just sit down" she finally spoke as he did what she said, she leaned forward resting her head on her knuckles as she stared at him.

"we were just discussing how to break into the ravens clubhouse" daniel said as parker and him shared mischievous looks.

"why... why would you do that?" alex asked as he began to sit up straight, as he began to stutter.

"to wipe the smiles of their faces after they won the opening challenge" brooke said plainly with a smirk and sophie turned to her grinning.

"relax, okay? it's a greenhouse tradition" laurens aid as all the eagles nodded in agreement, alex seeming annoyed that they would ask him.

"the problem is that only a raven's louie can open their door" sophie countered as they all turned their attention to alex now.

"and that's where you come in" daniel said as they all stared at alex with hopeful eyes and firm body language as if they were counting on him.

"me?" alex asked as he tilted his head down confused on how he could. all the eagles grinning and nodding at him.

"no, no, no no." he began to argue as lauren rolled her eyes.

"look, we have a fake louie. identical to your sisters one that she carries" lauren explained as sh gestured for brooke to hand the boy the object. "all you have to do is swap them without her noticing" lauren said with a shrug.

"i thought you wanted me to be nicer to my sister?" alex asked as he finally let his eyes look at the redheaded girl.

"well for today, you can't be" she said with a tight lipped smile. wanting to get revenge on the ravens for beating them.

alex looked between them all before refusing "no, no. no way. i can't do this" he said handing it back to them and standing up.

"i told you so" daniel said before they all let out a chorus of 'yeahs' sticking to the plan. lauren noticed sophie's face knowing the girl was going to laugh and had to pinch her to stop it.

"well, algebra, here i come. who wants to study with me?" brooke asked as all the eagles stood up ready to walk away.

"i'll come" selene said getting up last and linking her arm with brooke's the boy stared at her back before shooting out of his chair.

"wait!" he nearly yelled as they all stopped turning to face him. "i'll do it" he said finally causing lauren to smile with glee.

"way to go, kid. see, that's what i'm talking about" daniel said as he chest bumped him and all the eagles made their way over.

lauren afterwards gave the boy a hug, him returning it gladly before she quickly pulled away turning to sophie and brooke, excited for their yearly prank.

"now you sound like an eagle" parker said chuckling before patting him on the shoulder. alex smiling slightly.

lauren had been sitting with alex in the dining area, as they waited for hailey to show up. the girl had been seen paying before alex got up quickly showing up behind her.

"my treat" he said as she turned away from the small smoothie bar towards her brother.

lauren sat by a table in the middle watching the two's encounter as she pretended to be reading a book. she couldn't risk alex messing up and would swoop in and help if he started to back out.

hailey walked towards her brother with crossed arms and he stood with his hands in his pocket "what is this, a bribe?" she asked bitterly.

"more like a peace offering" he said with an innocent look on his face as he looked at the girl with apologetic eyes, before laughing seeing her smile.

"well, if it's chocolate, i'll accept" hayley said smiling before she noticed the redhead sitting on the table behind alex. she also noticed the boys backpack on the seat across from her.

"i wanted to apologise. i was upset. i took it out on you-" the boy was cut off from his apology speech as he looked up at his sister.

"it's not your fault, alex. i should've minded my own business. you're not a little boy anymore" she said with a regretful face. lauren was beginning to feel bad about the plan but restrained herself from stopping him.

"so we're cool?" he asked walking closer.

"of course we're cool" she said as she stared at him. both of them chuckling before he went in to hug the girl. him changing her louie with the fake one in the process.

"what about you and ms. america over there?" she whispered low enough for her not to hear. alex turned to look at the redhead before turning back to his sister.

"i'm working on it" he admitted as he crossed his arms with a smile.

the two walked back into the ravens dorm, seeing all the others sitting in a circle "there they are. hey, hey, guys, guys. they're here" sophie said as she tried getting everyone to quiet down.

all of them turning to the two as alex pretended to be upset "well?" parker asked as he leaned his arm of the back of the chair.

"you chickened out, didn't you?" daniel asked annoyed as lauren made her way over next to sophie.

"so predictable" brooke said shaking her head as they all looked at the boy disappointed.

lauren slightly smirked as she kept her head down. "let's go" daniel said signalling for all of them to leave.

"we gotta do something" parker said in annoyance not wanting to let the ravens just get away with winning.

lauren smiled largely as she looked up at the boy seeing him pull hayely's louie out of his pocket. daniel, parker and brooke seeing her face also turned around to face the boy hearing his large sigh.

"i knew you could do it!" sophie laughed loudly as she began rubbing her hands together "yes!" she yelled as all the eagles began smiling and cheering the boy on.

parker and daniel jumping over the back of the chair before rushing to the boy to pull him into a handshake hug thing that selene laughed at. the girl staring at the boy with proud eyes.

"so what are you going to do to 'em?" alex asked as he handed the louie to parker and daniel who stared down at the little

"you"? you mean we" lauren said laughing as she looked up at the boy from her seat, although he didn't look too excited anymore

"let's just say we're gonna show them what a little paint can do" brooke said smirking as she turned to the boy.

"you're gonna love this" "good job" parker and daniel said to the woods boy as they patted him on the shoulder. he finally let himself relax as he let out a laugh.

lauren had changed into a black mini skirt, black turtle neck and black tights with a black ski mask as she waited with sophie and brooke for daniel and alex to get the paint. the girl had her mask sitting on top of her face as she began sweating.

"hey, i'm sorry what i said about your mom" daniel apologised to alex as he held a regretful look.

"it's okay, you didn't mean it" alex said as he looked up at daniel innocently.

"yeah, but i shouldn't have said it anyway" daniel argued as he wanted to prove he was sorry. "and im sorry about what i said to you about  lauren" the boy added on.

"be honest with me, do i have a chance?" alex asked as he continued staring at the boy.

"well, from the looks of her and leo..." daniel said not knowing if he trusted his answer before shrugging.

the eagles broke into the ravens room as they slowly walked until they 6 of them were in. sophie and brooke began to silly string the figures and wall. daniel and parker spray painted an eagle sign on their projector and lauren hung eagles signs everywhere.

lauren, parker and daniel made their way to the boys room where they sleeping kids, the boys made their way over to max before lauren stopped them. the girls stopping them, considering he seemed innocent before waving them over to leo.

the boys painting purple circles underneath of his eyes, making him look like a panda bear. the girl then painting his nose yellow. she knew the boy was heavy sleeper and wouldn't be waking up anytime soon.

lauren had spent the rest of the next day with alex and sophie, she had heard a girl from the ravens was getting arrested and taken into police custody and she wanted no part of that. her getting involved meant her getting on the news.

alex and sophie had helped her practice her soccer outside before they returned to the eagles room, sophie going ahead so she could speak to parker leaving alex and lauren alone.

"how long have you been playing?" alex asked as he watched the redhead tighten her high ponytail, little wisps of hair flying out.

"since i was six" she said as she turned to him, folding her arms in closer so he couldn't smell how bad she was sweating. "what about you. how long you been playing basketball?" she asked trying to conversate.

"since i was ten, i've always wanted to come here" the boy admitted as she smiled at him in admiration.

"i was sort of forced, because my brother went here a few years ago" she laughed as she thought of the older boy who she hadn't seen in a few years.

"he used to be captain of the team didn't he?" alex asked trying to rack his memory if he was thinking of the same person.

"yeah. he taught me a few things. i could probably beat you in a game" she laughed as she slightly pushed the boys shoulder. he looked up smiling at her before gaining a cocky smile.

"oh, yeah. wanna test out the theory?" he asked as he pointed towards the gym at the other end of the courtyard, the girl thinking over it.

"maybe another time, i wreak" she said with wide eyes as she gestured down to her outfit. her white plain shirt had very noticeable sweat patches and her short black shorts were causing her waist area to feel hotter than it actually was.

alex looked over her appearance before smiling slightly to himself, she was a mess. he'd admit. but she still looked cute he thought to himself.

"i know i'm gorgeous, woods. you can just take a picture" she said as she rolled her eyes, the arrogant side of her personality coming out.

"why would i when the real things better" the boy slightly flirted with her as she laughed looking up neck begin to warm up.

alex smirked as he noticed the slight blush crawling her neck, he never would've thought he had the confidence to talk to her let alone flirt with her. and he gave himself a pat on the back as he realised he obviously had an effect on the girl.

they had arrived at the eagles room by the time their conversation was done and lauren had decided she'd go and shower, guessing the boy was secretly getting sick of the stench just not wanting to say anything.

"okay, i'm gonna go get rid of this smell now" she said as she slightly squeezed his arm walking backwards away from the boy.

"i wouldn't mind as long as i get to stare at your face all day" he said slightly raising his voice as the girl had disappeared from his sight.

"in your dreams, woods" she called out knowing the boy could hear her.

alex sighed out happily before falling back on the chair staring at the ceiling "exactly, dayners. in my dreams" the boy said to himself before shutting his eyes thinking of the redhead.
