A/N This is a Poem dedicated to the suffering of nature because of pollution! Enjoy!
Some are inspired by lines by William BlakeΒ Β
Luv, Valπ
The great blue rumbles in the distance,
seeking for assurance,
of its imminent survival,
for approval of every single, rasping breath.
The ice becomes invisible,
wildlife survival impossible,
heartless destruction impending,
exploiting, twisting its way,
through the straggling, helpless landscape.
Grass creeps into oblivion,
buildings grey and depressing take its place
crying children in lack of places to race
scattered around the fragment of the little remaining landscape.
Trees wail in anger and grief,
as their brothers and sisters are chopped down ruthlessly
without mercy or consideration
to be made into paper used briefly
then wasted into landfill.
Smoke twists and dances into the grey sky,
laughing and crying
enveloping young birds learning to fly
removing them of their born right
robbing them of their joy.
Plastic swims and drags beneath the surface,
choking sea creatures on purpose,
mindless and soulless,
ruining lives with no consideration.
Humans mill around the landscape,
giggling and ignorant,
allowing the destruction of the blue sky,
the green trees,
and the evil of pollution convulses in glee.
While giraffes run out of leaves,
and others run out of water,
it stands and watches,
ready to devour the sky whole later
with pleasure.
How can a creature without a home jump for joy?
How can the sky provide a home if it's grey?
How can we survive without nature?
How can we sustain the human race?
Factories continue to run,
presidents deem it fun,
to witness the demolition of our environment.
Oblivious, engorged in their own unimportant business.
How can a homeless animal laugh in happiness?
How can a fish out of water swim?
How can a tangled turtle speak?
How can the sky smile in the absence of its blue?
Why does a child leap for delight,
when the land around them tries to fight?
Why does a scientist cheer,
when other creatures live in utter blackness and fear?
Heat rises from the core of the earth,
from the strands of our carelessness,
towards the cause of out measly existence.
How can a deer live in safety,
when smoke and shadow can trample it at any time?
How can our people let this place rot?
How can we do something to help?
Is it too late or not?
To lift a finger and intrude,
on our demon's plans?
Only the bravest will venture into the damaged centre of nature,
to use their power to heal the shore,
of its clinging disease.
Only the courageous can fix what was broken,
or we will watch the Earth cease.
