ย [SEASON THREE: EPISODE FIVE]
[PART TWO]
Johnny arrived back at his own apartment, sat down at the kitchen table, and took out a paper and pencil.
Contemplating how to get Ethan to stand properly, he sat there for a while. However, after a few minutes, he crumpled up the paper and tossed it into the trash. He grabbed his laptop and searched up for a website on how to mend broken legs.
Suddenly, he heard what seemed like someone was crying. Walking out the front door, he discovered Elizabeth leaning against a pole.
"Everything okay?" He asked softly as he made his way over to her.
"It's...." She started, tears streaming down her face.
"Something with Ethan?"
"Sometimes when I have these feelings I don't want him to see."
"He's gonna get better, you know. He'll walk again."
"I hope so. For now, I'd just like to see him smile again. He's 17 years old. He should be out, carefree, having fun. Not...."
"It's gonna be okay." He reassured before she turned around and walked back inside.
"Can I borrow Ethan for a few hours?"
Meanwhile, at the County Fairgrounds, the cobras were causing trouble for everyone. Chris decided to call up Sam, and she gathered up the rest of the Miyagi-Do students, to launch a surprise attack on them.
"Where are they?" She asked.
"They snuck into the old laser tag place." He answered.
"How many?"
"Four of them."
"Five of us. I like our odds." The brunette stated, looking around at everyone.
"You sure we should be doing this? Wouldn't we need Ethan's help?" Demetri asked.
"We're not on school property, and we don't need his help for every little thing. This is our chance to prove that." She replied, making her way towards the back room with the others following behind her.
The four cobras stood around, angered at one of them for bringing an ice-cold pack of beer bottles. Suddenly, all of the lights turned off. Sam and Demetri, along with the others, stepped closer to them.
"What do you want?"
"Payback." She stated, and they charged towards them as the fight began.
She shoved one of them back before delivering a kick to Mikey's face. Hawk swung his fist, but she skillfully went underneath him and smacked Rickenberger in the back of his head. When he attempted another strike, she grabbed his arm and kicked him backward.
She wrapped her arm around him, slamming him straight down onto the ground. He groaned out in pain as he landed down on his back.
Mitch ran up behind Chris, pushing the boy forward, into the wall and elbowing him in the face. They both stepped back, assuming fighting stances. Chris defended against a high kick, grabbing his opponents back and then throwing him down onto the floor.
Sam pulled Rickenberger over her shoulder, bringing him down on the ground before sending a kick to his stomach. As she prepared for a final attack, a familiar voice suddenly boomed throughout the building.
"Sam LaRusso.... Where are you, bitch?" Tory yelled out, causing the girl's face to fill up with horror and fear.
And now, with Nichols joining in on the battle, the Migayi-Do students started falling one by one.
The cobras were overpowering them, and they were slowly losing. Original, it was five against four, but their opponent had three more people.
"Show yourself, LaRusso! Ethan isn't here to save you!" She shouted, causing Sam to become paralyzed with complete fear.
Her breathing became heavy, and her heartbeat rapidly increased. She backed into a small corner, flashes of Tory injuring her running through her mind. She crouched down while holding a hand on her heart.
"Sam!" Chris called out, attempting to get her attention, but Mitch hit him in the stomach, and Ricknenberger pushed the boy down on the ground.
Demetri swung his fist out, but Hawk grabbed it, pinning him down to the floor.
"No! Please, stop! Eli! Stop! Stop!" He pleaded, as the rest of the cobras rushed over to see him.
Over by where Sam was, she could see the whole scene playing out and felt like something was constricting her throat, making it difficult to breathe. She observed Hawk and Demetri watching them fearfully.
"Help me!"
The brunette remained still. She didn't know what to do or how to help him. All she could do was stay very still, fearing any attempt to intervene might lead to a fight she wouldn't win.
"Do it!" Tory yelled, goading him on. Sam knew the cobras were bullies, but didn't expect them to stoop to something like this.
"Finish him!"
"He deserves it!"
"Do it Hawk!"
All of these voices surrounding Hawk pressured him to truly step over to the dark side. A feeling of uncertainty and disgust in his stomach. Despite that, he couldn't tune it out; all that mattered to him right now was putting on a brace face, showing all the other cobras he wasn't weak.
"Hawk, finish him!"
He took a few deep breathes before finally doing it. The cracking sound of the arm, made Sam flinch slightly, and Demetri let a pain-filled scream of agony.
Cheers erupted from all the cobras as they turned around, stepping away and out of the building.
Hawk kept glancing down at his best friend, who was lying on the ground in pain.
In the lunchroom of the detention center, Keene walked inside and noticed Shawn and his friends, sitting down at a table. He stopped to stare at them.
"What's up?" The boy asked mockingly, noticing him. He shrugged his shoulders and looked back at his friends, engaging in a conversation about random things.
Robby began stepping away, but then he remembered what Kresse told him, the voice replayed throughout his mind.
"All of that Miyagi-Do mumbo jumbo.... that might score you points in a tournament. But in the real world, kid, you might wanna learn to strike first."
He immediately ran back towards their table, delivering a kick to Shawn's face, catching them off guard, then he hit Alex with the back of his elbow and kicked him backwards.
Zack stepped on the table as Robby send a roundhouse, making him stumble down towards the floor.
Keene quickly leaped over the table, kicking the other one in the stomach, flipping him down onto the ground. Shawn ran up towards him, shoving his opponent back up against the wall and throwing a punch at him.
He delivered a kick to his ribs before turning around and sending a punch. The other boy grabbed ahold of him, pulling them both up against a wall. Robby ran up the wall, landing behind Shawn, and kicked him in his face.
Shawn grabbed him, running the both of them into the hallway. Robby's back hits the wall, as he came up behind him, kicking him in the stomach.
The boy went throw a punch, as Robby caught it, sending him backwards. He tried to hit him again, going underneath him, jumping off the wall, and kicking the boy in his shoulder.
Robby sent a kick his way, and Shawn grabbed him, pulling them both into the main lobby. The rest of the kids ran outside to see what was happening.
He kicked him back before turning around and pushing Shawn up against a wall. Keene slammed both his elbows down into the bully's chest, then turned around again, smacking him in the face.
Shawn ran up towards the boy, and Robby wrapped his arm around his neck, putting him in an armlock and bringing the both of them down to the ground.
The officers quickly rushed in, pulling them off of one another, pinning them down, and the others were already down on the floor. Robby glanced at the boy next to him before sending a smirk his way.
After what felt a forever drive, Johnny finally put the car in parked. After getting Ethan into his wheelchair, the two of them ventured to a run down building. He was pushing the boy with him, constantly looking around, feeling uneasy about this place.
"And here, I thought this place looked suspicious on the outside. Where are we, Sensei?" He asked, trying to avoid the gazes of suspicious-looking people.
"It's a field trip." Sensei answered vaguely, taking a bag he had in his hands and thrusted it into the boy's lap.
"Take this and follow my lead."
"Hold on. Nice try. Come back when he's 21."
"Yeah, that's gonna be tough. He'll be dead by then." The blonde retorted, putting a hand on Ethan's shoulder.
"He should be dead already. Every day is gift."
Johnny gave him a pointed look. Williams rolled his eyes, and started fake coughing. The man glanced at him, with a hint of sympathy behind his eyes.
"He has bucket list and getting past that door is number one."
The man nodded, opening the door and letting the two of them in. Sensei pushed his way through the big crowd towards the front.
On a stage, Dee Sinder, lead singer of Twisted Sisiter, was up on stage, singing, while people were dancing.
"That's Dee Sinder, the most badass rocker ever."
"And, how is this apart of my physical therapy?" Ethan questioned.
"It's not."
He reached into the bag on his lap and pulled out two cans of soda.
"Just forget all about of that and have some fun!" Sensei cheered, handing him the can of soda.
"Yeah!"
Meanwhile, Sam sat in the waiting room of West Valley General, hoping to get some news about Demetri's broken arm.
She just wanted to show everyone she can defend herself but also didn't always needed Ethan's help in situations.
"Another karate fight? What the hell were you think?" Amanda asked, angrily, rushing over to her daughter.
"Mom...." She started, looking up at her, like she was gonna cry. Her mother quickly sat down beside her, placing her hands on her cheeks.
"Sam, baby, you okay?"
"They broken Demetri's arm."
"I just wanted to show that we couldn't be bullied or I wouldn't need Ethan's help. Where in the world is he?"
"I don't know. It's gonna be all right. I'm gonna make sure Ethan knows what happened." Amanda stated softly, pulling her into a hug.
"I didn't do anything to help. I couldn't stop them."
Back with Johnny and Ethan, the loud music kept playing as they took a photo of themselves, with one of them holding up a peace symbol.
"Can I get a copy of that?"
"Don't worry. I'll tag you in it."
"Tag me? What the hell does that mean?" Sensei asked.
"Check your Facebook page."
"I don't have Facebook anymore. I threw my phone away."
"You have it on your computer too, right?" Ethan asked, and the grown man gave him a confused look.
"Yeah."
The song soon ended, and Dee Sinder grabbed a microphone.
"So, I hear there's a Make-A-Wish kid in the house tonight."
"Yeah, right here!" Johnny shouted, pointing down at the boy.
"There he is. Ladies, let's make that kid's wish come true."
A group of girls glanced over at Williams, smirking. He lightly laughed and waved to them before turning back to the stage. As Dee started singing 'I Wanna Rock'. They gave a loud cheer and started singing along.
Johnny looked down at him, noticing his foot began moving. He excitingly tapped him, pointing down to his foot.
"Holy shit!"
After Amanda had found out what happened to her daughter, she headed straight for Cobra Kai to comfort the old man in charge of the dojo.
"Is anyone here?" She asked, looking around the place.
"We're closed, darling."
"But if you've got a youngster you'd like to put on the list for karate lessons. I'd be happy to help you."
"Is one of those lessons how to jump a bunch of kids and break one of their arms?" She questioned, stepping closer up to him.
"Did they?"
"Must've had it coming." The old man said, wiping some sweat from his forehead with a white towel.
"Like my daughter deserved it when one of your minions attacked her at school?"
"Ah!" He chuckled loudly before realizing who she really was.
"That must make you Mrs. LaRusso. What's the matter, little Daniel's not man enough to fight his own battles?"
"Hey, Rambo. Kids are getting hurt. So call off your band of karate thugs or I'm going to the police. Got it?" Amanda asked, getting up in his face.
"You're a feisty one. But I like thatโ" Kresse started, but was cut off by a smack landing across his face.
"I don't give a shit what you like." She stated, and turned around, making her way out the building.
Elizabeth rushed outside her apartment, to see what her son and Johnny wanted to show her. Ethan tapped his foot as his mother suddenly looked happy, shaking his shoulders around.
"Do it again!"
"Alright." He replied and tapped his foot again, making his mother look surprised to see movement back in his foot.
"Thank you, so much!"
"It was all the kid. Told you he's a fighter. Don't get too cocky. We still need you out of that chair."
"Yes, Sensei." Ethan nodded his head.
"Well, good night." The man said and turned around, heading back to his apartment.
