[SEASON THREE: EPISODE EIGHT]
[PART ONE]

Daniel and all of his students were wearing their white gis with the Miyagi-Do symbol on the back.

While everyone else was in front of him, waiting for their first lesson back in the dojo, Amanda was watching from inside Mr. Miyagi's house with a faint smile and her hands on her hips.

"I know it's been a while since our last class. After the fight at the school, I wasn't sure Miyagi-Do should stay open. But things have gotten worse since we shut down. That's why we're back. The only way to stop Cobra Kai is if we all work together. But always remember the reason we learn karate isโ€”"

"To show the world that you're not a bunch of pansy-ass nerds! We're gonna show 'em that you're tough! Because eagles don't get shit on. They're the ones that do the shitting. Just don't forget, being a badass doesn't mean being an asshole. The goal isn't to hurt other kids. The goal is toโ€”"

"Win at all costs. Those we thought to be our allies have turned against us. Now our enemies are attacking us from all sides. There is no turning back. Now is the time to showโ€”"

"Forgiveness. Compassion. Mr. Miyagi used to say of you're looking for revenge, then you can start by digging two graves. He was right. If you have hate in your heart, then you've already lost. I know it's not easy, but you have to do whatever you canโ€”"

"To beat the living crap out of them. Don't let them push you around. You gotta swoop down like an eagle, grab em with your claws, and sik your fangs into 'em. But I don't ever want you to start the fight. I just want toโ€”"

"Finish it. For good. Do I make myself clear?"

"Yes, Sensei!"

Ethan walked through the school hallway, but stopped and noticed a familiar person. Hawk look up at him. The boy shook away his thoughts before stepping away and accidentally bumped into someone.

"Oh, sorry, Iโ€”"

"Ethan, you're here!" Sam exclaimed, pulling him into a hug.

"I missed you, so much."

"I know, Sammy. I miss you too." He said, smiling happily at her. And they let go of one another.

"So,congratulations on being back on your feet. Literally."

"Thanks for the compliment, I appreciate it."

"Anyways, I'll let you get back to your friends." The brunette said, glancing past his shoulder at Hawk and the cobras.

"Oh, those guys? Nah, They're not my friends. Not after what they did you and Demetri."

"I should probably get to study hall."

"I'm actually headed that way too."

"I'll walk you, there?" Ethan asked, sticking his hand out, and she nodded her head before grabbing his hand. They walked down the hallway hand-in-hand together.

"Look, Sam. I know that I wasn't there when you needed me the most, but I promise you, I'll always be right beside you from now on." He stated, as she gave him a small kiss on the cheek.

"Thank you, Eddie." Sam joked, and started giggling.

"Okay, that's not happening."

They passed the row of lockers but suddenly looked behind a wall to notice Yasmine and Demetri were making out.

"Yasmine?" She asked.

"Hey. Um.... We were just, uh...." The boy stammered.

"Doing study work." She finished.

"So you two are...." Sam started.

"What? Ew. Ew! No. Like I would ever date this freak." Yasmine rambled, looking at him, and patted his chest, before walking away.

"Whatever, Cruella. Why don't you go kill a bunch of dalmatians?"

"I am 101% in love!" He stated, dreamily and stepping away from the two.

"I can't believe that just happened!" She said, laughing.

"Yeah, I guess love does conquer all." Ethan said, wrapping his arm around her shoulder.

"Oh, that reminds me. You own me 20."

"For what?"

Later, at Miyagi-Do, the students were preforming kata with synchronized fighting moves.

"Okay let's do it from the top. Keep going let's go." Daniel ordered, walking over to Chris, who was doing practically nothing.

"Come on, Chris. You know these moves."

"Sorry, Mr. L. I'm just trying to keep up."

LaRusso stepped over towards Demetri, who was out of the arm sling and doing the moves with his arms, but he didn't seem to be putting enough effort.

"Did you like having your arm broken, Demetri? Because if you defend like that, you'll be right back in that cast before you know it."

"Uh, okay, guys. Let's take five. Yeah? There's some fresh lemonade inside." Amanda called out, deciding to intervene in the situation.

"Take it easy, Sensei. It's their first week back."

"They should know this stuff by now. It's my fault their in this position. One day, they gonna find themselves alone and they'll need this techniques to survive."

"Okay, so this isn't about Robby, right?" She questioned, with a raised eyebrow.

"Look, you need to let him figure it out. If he wants to come back, the doors always open. But.... If he doesn't, you're gonna have to let him go."

"I can't just let him go. He has no one!" Daniel stated in disbelief.

"Wow. Would you look at this." Ron said, looking around the dojo.

"Hey, Ron."

"Why are we holding our board meetings at rec center when you can have the Enchanted Tiki Room out here? Are those real koi?"

"What's up? The All Valley is still months away. Is there a problem with the committee?" The man asked, walking up closer to him.

"There's a problem with the whole tournament."

"Good job, Bert!" Johnny screamed after Bert kicked the frisbee out of his hands.

"Assface, you're next." He called out, as Mitch groaned and stepped forward up to him.

"Does my nickname gotta carry over from the previous dojo?"

"You wanna be Penis Breath?"

"Assface is fine." The boy replied, kicking the frisbee out of the grown man's hand.

"Good, Penis Breath!"

"All right. Williams, you're up." Sensei called out as Ethan stepped in front of him, before getting in a fighting stance.

"Imagine this is the guy I stole this Frisbee from, all right? Just picture his stupid white dreads."

The blonde waved the frisbee around. Williams attempted to kick it, but he barely tapped it.

"All right, good hustle. Who's next?"

"No, I can do it, Sensei."

"Ethan, it's fine."

"I got it, man."

"All right. Get in a side stance. Use the balls of your feet." Johnny instructed, as Ethan went to kick it again, but totally missed and ended up falling down on the ground. The kids went over to help him, but he whacked their arms away.

"I'm totally fine!"

"All right. Everybody take five, go get some water. Not from the fountain, I saw some meth wipe his ass in it." The man said, and they stepped away to find water.

"It's okay, if you can't do the things you could before. No one's expecting you to be your old self."

"Gotta be shitting me!" Mitch yelled out angrily, pulling out his phone to see what notification popped up on the screen.

"What is it?"

"They canceled the All Valley."

"They did what?" Sensei questioned, screaming his lungs out, sounding confused.

Johnny and Ethan drove back from the park to their apartment complex, discussing some recent news they've heard from Mitch with the cancellation of the All Valley tournament.

"What you need to tell them is what karate really means to you. Like how you started Cobra Kai to help kids like me, taught us all to stand up for ourselves." He explained, as they got out of the 1985 Dodge Caravan and stepped closer to his apartment.

"Maybe this is a blessing in disguise." Sensei stated.

"What does 'supposed to' mean?" Williams asked, glazing at the man.

"It's not like you were even gonna fight anyway."

"Of course, I was going to fight." Ethan said firmly before Johnny turned around to face him.

"Training with no contact is one thing, I can't risk you getting hurt again."

"That's totally unfair. I'm working hard, getting better at walking again."

"It's for your safety."

"I thought you said safety was for pussies?"

"This is different."

"You don't think I can handle it!" The boy shouted, as Elizabeth opened the front door of her apartment to what was happening outside.

"You almost hurt yourself with one kick! One kick! What do you think'll happen in a real fight?"

"Look, you already proved you could win." Johnny pointed out.

"And I need to prove it again to everyone!" Ethan yelled.

"You said you'd always be on my side."

"Ethan...." Sensei started, and the boy walked into his mother's apartment, not even speaking a single word to anyone.
