[SEASON THREE: EPISODE SEVEN]
[PART ONE]

"Let's go, slowpoke!" Johnny teased as he wheeled past Ethan. After gaining mobility, Williams transitioned from a wheelchair to crutches. Sensei designed an obstacle course for him to enhance his movement skills.

"Move those gimp legs!"

Attempting to leap over a small hurdle, the boy's legs got entangled in the bar, causing him to tumble over.

Over the next few days, Johnny motivated Ethan to push himself harder by introducing a variety of challenging exercises.

One exercise even had him holding a keg while doing sit-ups, although it seemed more for Sensei's amusement than anything else. Now, he found himself back on the obstacle course, hopping through ropes.

"Go, Williams. Move it!" The blonde encouraged, as the boy hopped toward wooden stairs set up to be an obstacle.

"We're almost there. Let's go!"

He ascended onto the platform before looking up at the grown man.

"All right, Sensei, I'm starting to grasp it."

"Oh, yeah? Think fast." Johnny replied, throwing a medicine ball at him. The boy caught the ball, causing him to drop his crutches and tumble to the ground.

Back at the apartment, Williams engaged in more activities, often using his legs to move things like the coffee table. Sensei felt confident that he would be walking within the next few days and decided to bring him back to the obstacle course once more.

He ascended onto the platform again, feeling his legs a bit stronger than the last fall. Johnny threw the medicine ball at him, and he caught it, causing his crutches to drop, just like before. However, this time, the boy managed to stay on his feet.

"What you waiting for? Keep going!" The man shouted, and Ethan nodded, handing the ball to him before shuffling along the wooden beam. Upon reaching the end, he jumped off, prompting a hug from Sensei.

They entered Johnny's apartment, one heading to the fridge to grab a bottle of water, while the other sat down at the kitchen table, engrossed at his laptop.

"How about Johnny Lawrence Karate? Or Strike Hard Karate?" Williams suggested, but Johnny ignored him, focusing on the computer screen while taking a bite of his very own Slim Jim. After the boy grabbed a bottle of water, he walked over to the kitchen table, sitting across from him.

"Sensei, I'm brainstorming names for our new dojo."

"How long does it take for Facebook messages to get delivered? Ali lives in Colorado, so probably a while, right?"

"It's instantaneous, and it depends on where you are in the world." The boy stated, rolling his eyes. Johnny sighed and slammed the computer screen shut.

"Okay. Moving on, what about All American Karate?"

"It's not good enough. We need something that screams we're the most badass dojo in the Valley." Sensei said, gesturing emphatically with his hand.

"Man, it sucks that Cobra Kai's such a badass name."

"What if we just keep that? But we spell Cobra with K. They call us triple K."

"You mean like KKK?" Ethan asked, sounding as if he wasn't being serious about suggesting that as a name.

"Yeah, it's probably a bad idea." Johnny nodded in agreement.

"All right, whatever. We'll figure it out. First, we need some students."

"Well, you're in luck, because it's my first day back at school. I could help with the recruiting." He offered.

"But the question that still remains is where are we gonna train? Couldn't we just train at Miyagi-Do?"

"You let me worry about that."

Meanwhile, at the LaRusso house, Sam entered the kitchen and abruptly paused, noticing both of her parents dressed nicely. She wore a suspicious look on her face.

"Morning, honey."

"Why don't you have a seat?" Daniel offered as she sat down at the kitchen table across from them.

"I brewed up some of that tea that I bought back from Okinawa."

"You guys are being weird. What's going on?" She asked, looking between her parents.

"Well, your mom and I have been talking about how to deal with Cobra Kai."

"You have?"

"I'm sorry I got so upset with you for training the other kids. I didn't know what you were dealing with. Also, I've messaged Ethan and he knows all the situation regarding you. We're trying to handle itโ€”" Amanda started.

"With all you're going through at school with those bullies, we want to make sure you know how to defend yourself."

"So, what are you saying?" The brunette questioned.

"Your dad's gonna reopen Miyagi-Do. Hopefully, Ethan has gotten back on his feet; I'm pretty sure he'll wanna help, and I'm 100% on board."

"So, what do you say? Ready to back into action and get Ethan to help us?" Daniel asked.

"No." She replied, getting up from the table, and walked away, with both her parents following behind her.

"Sam, wait. Hey." LaRusso called out, making her turn to face him.

"What's going on?"

"I'm not doing karate anymore, okay?" Sam snapped, walking over to her room and slamming the door shut.

"What was that?"

"Something's going on with her. I don't think she's sleeping very well."

"Well, I didn't know that." Daniel stated in disbelief.

"I've been so preoccupied with everything going on; I haven't been able to spend enough time with her lately. Man, I just wish Ethan was here right now; he could convince her better than we can."

"Well, maybe you play hooky today. You know? She can skip school. I got the dealership. Go work your Miyagi magic." Amanda suggested.

Ethan made his way inside the school's front door after getting his backpack checked by security. People started cheering and clapping for his recovery. He looked up at the stairwell, to notice a banner that read: 'Welcome Back Ethan'.

He felt a sudden urge of happiness from all the attention he was receiving. People walked him, patting him on the back, clasping a hand on his shoulder, and even giving him fist bumps.

"El Serpiente!"

"Hey, dude. What's up?" Williams asked, clapping his hands with Hawk's.

"Welcome back. They give you some bionic legs or some shit?"

"Not even close, same old boring human legs."

"Oh yeah? Can you still throw down?" Hawk joked, throwing a couple of playful punches.

"Gotta get through me first. Dude, Cobra Kai is crushing is right now."

"Hey, I've been meaning to talk to you about that." He said, but just before anyone could speak, the bell rang.

"But I'll see you at lunch?"

The redhawk boy nodded, clapped his shoulder, and walked away.

Ethan made his way over to his locker to grab his stuff before doing that, he noticed Demetri wearing a white cast on his whole arm and walking over to him.

"The Comeback Kid! Welcome back." He greeted him.

"I know what's doing on with Sam. But what's up with the cast?"

"Proximal radius fracture."

"It smells." Yasmine taunted, coming up next to him.

"I put a lemon rind down there to mitigate that. The invitation for your signature still stands." He said, holding up a sharpie to her, but she pushed his hand away.

"Hard pass. At least when you used to be a thorn in my tits, you were getting me an A in science. Now, you can't even do that because you're defective." She sneered and smiled at Ethan before walking away from the two.

"So, how did you break your arm?" He asked, as Demetri's smiled faded, looking at him.

"You've got a lot to catch up on."

Meanwhile, Johnny was going to go different locations around the Valley, looking for a specific spot for a dojo. But it didn't really work out well. Until he finally a nice spot, which was basically a local family public park.

Daniel and Sam found themselves in the middle of nowhere, basically, sitting down inside a wooden boat in the midst of a large river.

"This isn't so bad, is it?"

"Guess it beats going to school." She shrugged her shoulders.

"Something about the quiet.... The sound of water.... It always seems to help. I thought you and I could both use a little bit of today."

"Is that why we're out here?"

"I also thought we could catch some dinner for tonight." He stated, picking up two fishing rods and handed one to her.

"It's a bit rusty."

"Yeah, well so am I." He nodded in agreement as they threw the fishing poles behind their backs before launching the lines into the water.

"The trick is fishing out here is to the line into the deep water, away from the boat. It's all in the cast."

"Do you remember the last time we were out here?"

"It's was with all four of us. Mr. Miyagi caught a fish that was so big Mom was afraid to cook it for dinner." Sam replied.

"Pretty sure we just ended up ordering a pizza instead."

"That was the day we taught you and Ethan how to balance on the bow of the boat. Not that we needed to. We could've knock you guys off to save our lives. Wanna give it another shot for old times' sake?"

"I knew it." She stated, sounding a little annoyed.

"You knew what?"

"Is that why you brought me out here? To trick me into doing karate?" The brunette questioned, with a raised eyebrow.

"What? No, not at all. This has nothing to do with that. I just wanna to spend the day together."

"I told, Dad. I quit karate."

"Please just help me understand why. I wanna help you." He pleaded.

"It didn't matter. You can't help me."

"I can't if you don't tell me what's going on. Be honest with me, Sam."

"I froze, okay? I watched my friends get hurt. I watched Demetri get his arm broken, and I couldn't do anything to stop it. Now I'm having all these panic attacks." She explained, trying to hold in her emotions.

"I'm so sorry."

"Just take me home."

Ethan stormed into the cafeteria after Demetri had told him everything that happened, from the Cobras constantly harassing Miyagi-Do and Hawk breaking his best friend's arm. He noticed the mohawk boy sitting down at the table.

"Hey, man."

"I heard what you did to Demetri. How could you do that to him?" Williams asked, angrily.

"You should be thanking me for getting revenge on the Miyagi-Do's. Besides, they're the ones who started the fight. We finished it."

"That's not at all what our Sensei taught us."

"He's not my Sensei anymore."

"So, After everything Johnny did for you, you betray him just like that?"

"He betray us."

"Look, this isn't you talking. It's that crazy old man, Kreese. He's got inside your head. You can change that by leaving Cobra Kai and join Sensei Lawrence's new dojo, okay? If you come, others will follow. We can show everyone we're not a bunch of bullies. It could be like how it was before all this." Ethan rambled, hoping his friend would understand.

"He has a new dojo?" Hawk asked. But before anyone could answer, Kyler got everyone's attention.

"Hey, guys. Check this guy out. Standing around with a dick in his hand!" He yelled, holding up someone's cast where a giant 'thing' had been drawn on it. Everyone burst out in laughter as Demetri stormed out of the cafeteria, embarrassed at what just happened.

"These are your friends?" The boy asked, in disbelief and walked away from him.
