ย  [SEASON THREE: EPISODE FOUR]
[PART ONE]

In Japan, Daniel found himself in a business meeting with dealership managers from around the world. He explained to them what LaRusso AutoGroups had been doing for the past three years.

"At our core, we are a family-run business, and which is why we have sold more in the past ten than any other dealer in the San Fernando Valley. And with our incentive program, LaRusso Auto's partnership with Doyona can only get stronger."

"This is very impressive." The man replied, flipping throughout the pages of a book.

"But unfortunately, we have already made our decision."

"We are trying to avoid negative PR. I'm sorry to say the wheels are already in motion. Thank you for coming all this way."

All of the businesspeople sat down at a table, enjoying beer bottles, and celebrating their victory, while Daniel sat alone at the bar by myself, sipping a cup of tea.

"Hey, how'd the meeting go?" Amanda asked, from the other line.

"I'm still working on it." He replied, stepping out of the door.

"But I know there's an answer out there and I'm gonna find it."

"Daniel, if it can't do doneโ€”"

"It can be."

"I'm coming home with a yes, don't worry." Daniel reassured her, as she nodded her head.

"I know you are. Go work your magic."

"What the hell am I gonna do?"

LaRusso arrived back at the bar, looking down at his phone and scrolling through his photos. The bartender had placed a glass of wine next to him.

"You look happy there." The man noticed, looking down at his phone.

"Happier times."

"Is that a friend of yours?"

"Best friend I ever had." He nodded his head.

"Are you visiting him while you are in town?"

"I wish. I'm afraid he's no longer with us."

"Very American way of thinking. In Japan, you can always visit someone. They speak to us. Even when they are gone." The bartender stated before walking away. Then, Daniel looked up to notice a flat-screen TV showing images of what looks to be an island of Okinawa.

Back in San Francisco, at the Cobra Kai dojo, the students lined up on the outer sides of the mat, awaiting for Kresse to give them their lesson for the day.

"Never underestimate your enemy. Even if you think they're weaker than you, you always have to stay one step ahead of them. That's the only way to guarantee a victory. Is that understood?"

"Yes, Sensei!"

"Good."

"Now let's see if you truly understand the lesson." He said, walking over to a big tree log with a smaller tree on top.

"I want you to kick this tree off the top. Red, you start."

The boy went stick his leg out, attempting for a kick. Suddenly, the fabric in his gi ripped opened, causing him to fall down.

"Pathetic." Sensei stated in disbelief and crossed his arms over his chest.

"Rickenberger, show him."

The other one attempted a spinning back kick but miserably fell down on the mat. He groaned out in pain and stood back up on his feet.

"Stop your sniveling."

"I can do it, Sensei." Hawk said firmly, takings few steps forward.

"Well, what're you waiting for? Don't you want a running start?"

"Don't need one." He replied, kicking the log, making fall down, with the smaller tree broken open. The boy looked back at his Sensei, who chuckled but also seemed a little surprised.

"Not bad. Not bad at all."

Hawk nodded his head and, moving back to his spot on the mat, stood among the others.

"But he cheated."

"No, he didn't." Sensei shook his head.

"Unlike you, he did exactly what I asked him to do."

"If your mind is agile, so are you. That's the best way to beat your enemy. Not just with brute strength. But you have to fight smart." The old man said, and passed each one of them, before stopping in front of Hawk.

"Do that, and you'll always come out on top."

At West Valley General, Ethan was back in bed after his surgery. The nurse had checked the VI machine to see if everything was in order.

Williams picked up his phone from the table and opened instagram to see a video post of Hawk kicking a log with a tree on top. He threw his phone back on the table before lying his head down on the pillow.

"Hey, what's wrong? Can I turn on the TV for you or get you another pillow?" She asked.

"What if the surgery didn't work out? What if I'm gonna paralyzed for the rest of my life?" He questioned, having second thoughts about his surgery.

"Sweetie, you can't think like that." The nurse stated.

"I know what'll make you feel better though. A big piece of chocolate cake. How's that sound, huh?"

"Sure, why not." Ethan answered as she left the room to heading to the cafeteria.

Meanwhile, outside in the waiting room, Johnny was standing next to the nurse's desk, talking on the phone with Bobby.

"I know. I'm sorry, Bobby. I screwed up. Just tell Robby I'll make things right."

"Ok, fine. I'll tell him myself." He said, and noticed a nurse walking out of Ethan's room. He hung up the phone, making his way over to the nurse.

"Hey, excuse me."

"How'd the surgery for Ethan Williams go? Is he doing Ok?"

"He's awake. A little out of it, but healing." She replied.

"Good." Johnny nodded his head. "So he can walk again?"

"It doesn't work like that. Time will tell how successful the surgery was, but...." She started but didn't finish and changed the topic.

"I can take you in if you like. I'm sure he'd love to see you."

"No, he needs to be with his family." He declined her offer and started walking out of the building.

In Japan, after Daniel had got off the airplane, he rolled down the escalator before stepping off of it and made his way outside. He waved his hand out, signaling for a taxi. The car had stopped, letting him inside.

"Konnichiwa."

"Konnichiwa."

"Tomi Village." Daniel said.

"When last time you see Tomi Village?" The man asked as they started driving down the road.

"Uh, it's been a while."

He looked outside the window, glancing around at the place, and started when remembering him and Mr. Miyagi had first came to this Village. He also recalled meeting Kumilo for the first time back in 1985.

They even become a couple, and they would have remained one if he hadn't told her to follow her dreams instead. He smiled softly, recalling the time Mr. Miyagi taught him to counter attacks, but also how to block them.

"We are here."

"Great, thanks. Domo arigato." Daniel said, getting out and immediately looking around to notice how different it looked.

"'Tomi Village Green'? A mall?" He asked, sounding a little confused.

In the cafeteria of the detention center, Robby was serving food to the poor people, hoping that would be enough to get him out early.

Keene handed a bowl of soup to a man, then noticed his father standing there, waiting in line.

"Hey, Robby." Johnny said, getting his attention.

"You're not supposed to be here."

"It's the only way I could see you."

"Found out you're doing community service to try to get out early. That's good. I respect that."

"Is that a black eye?" Lawrence asked, noticing a bruise around his eye.

"Are you fighting in there after everything that's happened?"

"You're seriously gonna lecture me about starting fights?" Robby retorted.

"You're right. I'm sorry."

"I just wanna say I screwed up and I knowโ€”"

"Save it." He interrupted him.

"I'm just trying to sayโ€”"

"What? That you're in my corner? That you got my back?" Cause let's be honest, that means jack shit. Mr. LaRusso said the same thing, look where I am now."

"Forget about LaRusso."

"Hey!" A woman yelled angrily.

"Quit holding up the line! Don't make me throw a shoe at you!"

"Look at what we got here." She said, recognizing the man.

"You stalking me, pretty boy?"

"Of course not."

"You better not be eating my soup, Goldilocks. I called diss on them beams."

"I'm not leaving until we talk." Johnny said, turning back around to face Robby.

"It's gonna be a while. If you noticed, I'm a little busy."

"That's good cause I'm hungry." He said, as some food was put on a plate and walked over to a table.

At West Valley High, Demetri walked through the big lunchroom doorway, carrying a large size Lego volcano for a science project. Meanwhile, Moon and Yasmine were already sitting down at a table.

"Hey! You ready to rock.... our earth science presentation?"

"I'm ready to go back to a world where we don't have to talk on a regular basis."

"Hey, hey! My popularity's on the rise, while yours is steadily declining. But, uh, maybe we can meet in the middle, like a sexual Venn diagram." Demetri waved his hands in a circular motion.

"Ew." She gave him a disgusted look, as Moon started laughing.

"So what's under the sheet?"

"I'm glad you asked." He said, pulling the cover off the object to reveal a big volcano.

"Behold.... what scientists believe to be the Valley when dinosaurs roamed the Earth."

"Go ahead, press the hadrosaur egg." He said eagerly as Yasmine pressed the button. The Legos started screaming like birds, and the top of the volcano started smoking.

Then, all of a sudden, a soccer ball came crashing into it, breaking into pieces. Everyone gasped in shock and exclaimed what just happened.

"Oh. I'm sorry, man. Looks like my ball just got away from me." Hawk said, catching the ball and stepping over to them.

"That took me three weeks to build."

"Eh, took my ball three seconds to destroy." He remarked.

"Do you have another one?" She asked, but the boy ignored her and made his way up to Cobra Kai.

"Another week, another pissing contest. Although I shouldn't be surprised since you love pissing so much."

"You landed one kick. You go lucky."

Sam had sat her lunch plate down at their table and immediately stood next to Demetri.

"Back off, or you won't be lucky." She snapped at him. Hawk scoffed, then noticed Blatt and came up with an idea.

"Yeah, like you'll start anything, princess."

"Actually, why don't you go sleep around with someone new and break their heart?" He questioned, making her very angry, and she shoved him back into his friends.

"What's going on here, Miss LaRusso?" Blatt asked, appearing out of nowhere.

"You know our guidelines against physical contact. Did she enter your personal bubble without your verbal consent?"

"Yeah, she definitely triggered me in my safe space." Hawk nodded his head.

"What are you talking about?" Demetri questioned, looking confused.

"He started by destroying my science project."

"That was an accident!" The boy blurted out quickly.

"You probably shouldn't bring your toys to school anyway."

"I don't want excuses. I just want you all to respect each other." She pleaded.

"She's right, guys. We should stop the aggression. Micro and macro."

"Oh, give me a break." Sam snapped, angrily looking dead straight at Hawk.

"Hey. Consider this a warming, Miss LaRusso. Get these Legos off the ground, someone could get hurt." Blatt ordered, stepping out of the lunchroom.

"For you pansies, no space is safe." He stated, getting in their faces before walking back to his friends.

In Japan, Daniel was now at Tomi Village, and it looked completely different from how it appeared back in 1985. LaRusso walked over to a bar, noticed a waitress, and wanted to ask some questions.

"Tomi Village was sold?"

"When villagers crops started to die out, village almost died as well. So, Mr. Sato turned to a whole new economy, retail!"

"Now, Tomi Village Green is premier destination for shopping, entertainmentโ€”"

"What happened to the villagers? Weren't they upset about what happened to their home?"

"No." She shook her head.

"It brought them jobs. Modern homes. It saved their village."

"But this is nothing like I remember." Daniel stated, looking around the place.

"Yes, there are a lot of changes. We used to have a Subway, now we have a Jersey Mike's. I have a menu if you'd like see to it?"

"No, that's okay." He declined, stopping her from going any further.

Loud music started playing from a big stage. Daniel slowly followed the sound of music to notice a group of people dancing. He saw a woman with black hair that almost looked familiar to him.

She turned around, and he immediately recognized that person it was Kumilo. Memories started replaying in his head of her teaching him how to dance.

They finished their performance as the crowd clapped in amazement, and the dancers bowed at them.

"Daniel-san?"

Back at the detention center, Johnny was eating a bowl of soup while waiting for Robby to finish serving food out to everyone.

"Hey, pretty boy."

"Mmm!"

"Here, take it, you vulture." He said and gave her the plate, walking over to his son.

"Let me give you a hand."

"I don't need your help."

"You're right, you don't." Johnny nodded his head in agreement.

"But you're my kid and I'm your dad. So let me give you a hand."

He grabbed the other handled as they walked over to the counter, slowly putting it down.

"Look, I know we've had our problems. But you know, before that fight at the school you and I were headed in the right direction."

"We had one good day. Over a month ago. And where've you been since then? Why didn't you show up?" Robby questioned.

"Look, Robby, I'm really sorry. I wanted to be there. Something happened at the hospital...."

"I get it."

"Robby, come on."

"No, it's fine. No surprise you chose Ethan over me again." He stated in disbelief.

"I didn't choose Ethan over you. I'm trying to make things right."

"I'm sure Ethan appreciates that."

"I'm not the one who put him in the hospital." Johnny snapped.

"Robby, come onโ€”" He started. As he went to grabbed his shoulder, Robby pushed him off, causing the soup to fall down.

"Don't touch me!"

"I don't need you anymore." The boy shook his head.

Meanwhile, outside West Valley High, everyone was putting on their gym clothes and playing a game of soccer.

"These gym shorts pinch in all the wrong places."

"Come on. Have a little school spirit." Sam said, and smiled softly.

"Oh, yeah. Go Mountain Lions!"

"I wish we could do something about those cretins." Demetri scoffed, as they all turned to see Hawk with his gang behind him.

"We can." She announced, and everyone looked up at her.

"How? Blatt will give us detention just for breathing near them."

"I don't see her anywhere, do you? Besides, what's a soccer game without a little physical contact?"

After a few more hits, Cobra Kai started to notice Miyagi-Do was playing dirty, and they decided to join in on the fun.

Hawk was winning with the most points for his team, and every time he landed a score, he hoped Moon would cheered him on, but she simply ignored him like he wasn't even there. In anger, he pushed a boy down as someone came up next to him.

"She loved you, you know."

"What'd you say?"

"Oh, yeah, she told me. Man, you had a good thing going with the hottest girl in school, and you ruined it by becoming a loser!" Demetri yelled before pushing him forward. He got on the ground, sweeping his legs, making him fall.

"I guess that's why the europeans call it 'football'."

The boy stayed back to taunt Hawk a little bit more, while Sam ran towards Mikey, who had the ball, and tackled him. The brunette got up in the process but also kicked him in the face.

"You know what? That's it! Everyone to the principal's office now!" The female coach shouted, blowing a whistle.
