A/N
This chapter is good, I like how it flows nicely like you are having a conversation with someone, it allows the audience to raise questions but still feel informed, maybe to possibly improve this more add a short description of how you envision the book to go or where you got your inspiration from. It really is a nice A/N though, really brings the quote, "short and sweet" to mind. Al Image
Beautiful! I love the picture and I love the questions you give the audience to receive constructive feedback, this displays that you are open to other people's opinion and the audience is more likely to interact with the story or with you through voting, commenting, sharing the story or possibly following your account/s.
Important!! Pls. READ
This chapter confused me, mostly because I am not a part of this fandom, but I did understand the main message of being kind to writers. I loved how you tried to relate to the audience by recalling an experience you had before expressing your opinion and displaying yourself as an approachable author, to which many people then commented on how amazing you are.
Your writing in this chapter switches between sms and normal paragraph writing, which may be confusing but that is all easy fixes and nothing to really worry about.
Part 1: 4/5
I absolutely loved the quote at the start.
Overall:
The start of this chapter starts off slow, with an introduction of the characters and the setting that the audience is meant to be envisioning. This was a good start, especially for someone who is not a part of this fandom, it makes it easy to picture the setting and get a sense of what the characters might be like.
This chapter is a very nice first chapter, it displays a day in the life of Prisha Rao and describes her character, displaying how important she is to the story, it gives her meaning.
Well Done!
Grammer, Spelling, Punctuation: I am not going to judge spelling because I know that fandoms tend to have different...spellings for different things, and I do not plan to tell you something is wrong or right if I do not know. The quotation marks aren't generally used like that, and it would look nicer if it was like, "Lawgical Alliance" instead of " Lawgical Alliance".
The sentence ...head lawyer of Mumbi's top-ranked law firm of the current year Ms Rao, also known as Prisha Rao." should instead be displayed as ...head lawyer of Mumbi's top-ranked law firm of the current year, Ms Rao, also known as Prisha Rao. Just remember to use capital letters when it's a proper noun such as names, e.g. Prisha Rao, Lawgical Alliance.
Part 2: 4/5
I loved the quote at the start of the chapter, I loved how relatable you have made your character by allowing them to make mistakes, like not reading the file and being late. This creates a better character-reader relationship and encourages the audience to read further and comment as they become invested in the character's life. There are a few spelling errors, just simple ones like bue instead of bye, Mam (as in mother) instead of Ma'am (A respectful address towards a woman).
But overall, it was a very well written chapter, and I loved the thrill of it as I began to relate and enjoy the character and the story.
Part 3: 3/5
I didn't really understand the quote at the beginning of the chapter, and I believe there could be an alternative that better suits the chapter.
Your tenses seem to change a lot and that is to be expected, lots of people mix them up and it is an easy fix e.g. What she precisely noticed was everyone was having a glass of drink in their hands... could be changed to She then precisely noticed the drinks that each person held in their hands...
I love the suspense this chapter builds up and I love that it allows the audience to begin speculating on who is behind the SA. I also love the relationship between Prisha and Ishan.
I love the little A/N at the end of this chapter, your questions are going to spark questions in your readers, and they are going to begin hypothesizing about what happened and what may happen, this will keep them hooked and interested in this amazing story.
Part 4: 3/5
I love the beginning quote, but I feel like there's more to it e.g., Hatred and Failure; The very two things that may make or break a person. It seems there are a lot of time skips between chapters. At the end of the last chapter, we find out she has her own theories on what happened, which encourages the reader to speculate on what it is and then at the start of this chapter it seems like it's the next day. This is good because it keeps your reader hooked and they want to know what your character thinks happened.
Time skips are okay every once in a while, but frequent time skips may cause the reader confusion. Your reader is your character, they should know the character better than they know themselves but still have questions and mysteries to solve about the character.
Your sentence structures are alright, but they can be kind of confusing. It's just little, easy to fix mistakes, like words missing, wrong tenses or mixed-up words, e.g., Prisha doesn't know how to react. Ishan is unsure of what to do. He is questioning himself if Prisha would believe him, believe that he's innocent. This could instead be changed to; Prisha doesn't know how to react. (New paragraph because you're changing topics) Ishan is questioning himself and he's questioning Prisha's faith in him he doesn't know if she believes him and his innocence. This leaves Ishan unsure and paranoid as he tries to determine whether Prisha believes him. I love the description of the backlash that Ishan is receiving as a professional cricket player who has 'committed a crime,' I love the detail that has gone into this scene and the thought, even research that has been completed to get an accurate picture of what would/does happen to... famous people that have done something people perceive as wrong.
I love the relationship between Prisha and Ishan.
I love the bold quote at the end, very heart-warming.
Part 5: 4/5
Sentences, babe! You are an amazing writer, but the little mistakes are building up. Just please remember. Dialogue scenes are not the easiest to write, this is because people speak a lazy version of English when speaking and almost nothing is grammatically correct, but some words make all the difference.
You are usually just missing a word or so in a sentence, this can be corrected by adding said words or even by adding a comma, which can make all the difference.
You could also use Grammarly or write your stories in Word docs or Google docs. I do love the concept of this chapter and the process that has gone into it, you had me and I'm sure all of your other readers hooked from start to finish with all the drama.
Part 6: 4/5
It's kind of sad seeing the quotes at the start gone, just because they were so beautiful and meaningful but that is understandable, it can be hard finding the perfect quote for every chapter.
It is a very nicely written chapter, with very few mistakes, just some spelling errors and sentences that could have been shortened but it was a thrilling read.
Part 7: 4/5
Another very well-written chapter with minimal mistakes, be proud of this. I believe the only issues with this chapter were capital letters and some slight spelling mistakes. I loved this chapter, particularly the memory and the suspense of making the 'big' choice.
Part 8: 3/5
This chapter has a very nice setting description, it really helps the reader to picture the character's surroundings. I'm a bit confused with the uncle, in one of the first chapters (the second I think) she describes him as creepy and then in this chapter she's not creeped out by him at all and they coom to ho having friendly at all and they seem to be having friendly conversations, this may confuse your readers and how they feel about each of your characters.
Your sentences in this chapter are quite rushed and jumbled in the uncles pov, this may cause confusion in your readers and leads me to believe that you either were in a rush or just generally don't like or know enough about this character.
Overall, the start of this chapter was confusing, but the end was very suspenseful and very well written. Well Done!
Part 9: 4/5
Oh yay, quotes are back, a truly lovely quote to start the chapter off with.
I really feel the romance dancing in the air, great descriptions and recalls of what happened, lots of details which makes it easy for your readers to really fall in love with your characters.
I love the details that have gone into Prisha and her job, you are really displaying why she is such a good lawyer. Again, I love the questions you pose in your A/N, this will really get your audience thinking and speculating.
Part 10: 5/5
And quotes are gone.
I love the writing style of this chapter and I love the descriptions, just remembering capital letters.
I love her relationship with Riya.
I love how relatable Prisha is, even she needs a break sometimes too and that is a really good quality to have when writing characters, you have made her really relatable and that is something to be proud of.
I just loved this chapter really.
Part 13: 4/5
The start of this chapter was quite confusing, your description of the inner-workings of the courtroom and how it is psychologically disorienting was kind of dragged on and I felt as if your main point wasn't getting across to your audience (this may also be because I read part 1 then skipped to part 13 to do the review), it was a good description but I feel like you had too many descriptions and they kind of blurred together.
I do like the description of the courtroom, where they are sat and how she's going to take the opposition down, you really describe the courtroom fanatics and that is amazing.
I love the detail and thought process that has gone into creating the perfect courtroom scene, it really shows off how bada** your characters are.
Keep up the good work, lovely!
