Another update !! Enjoy !!
Ankita's POV:
After a few minutes, we broke the kiss, both of us gasping for air.
Aryan pulled me into a tight embrace, his body trembling as he cried like a child, holding me as if I might slip away.
"Please donโt leave me, Ankitaโฆ I canโt live without you and Ansh," he sobbed, his voice breaking with desperation.
"Pleaseโฆ donโt say yes to the marriage. I canโt see you with someone else."
My heart clenched at his words. I wrapped my arms around him tighter, resting my head against his chest, feeling the rhythm of his rapid heartbeat.
"How could I leave you, Aryan?" I whispered, my voice thick with emotion.
"This heartโฆ which only beats for you. How could I walk away when Ansh has already accepted you as his 'dadda'? I was never happy with this marriage, Aryanโฆ I only said yes for your happiness."
His tears dampened my shoulder, and I gently cupped his face, noticing the redness on his cheekโthe mark left by my hand when I had slapped him.
I caressed it softly, guilt flooding me.
"I donโt want anything else," he murmured, his voice shaking.
"I only want you and Ansh. You both are my happiness. Nothing else matters."
Tears brimmed in my eyes as I nodded, feeling the weight of his words sinking into my heart.
"I know, Aryanโฆ I know," I whispered, feeling his pain as if it were my own.
My fingers lightly traced the swollen spot on his cheek.
"Iโm so sorry for slapping you so hard."
Aryan smiled weakly, taking my hand and bringing it to his lips. He kissed my palm gently, his breath warm against my skin.
"Trust me," he said softly,
"Itโs not hurting. Not as much as the thought of losing you."
My tears fell freely now, overwhelmed by his love and the realization of how close I had come to losing the one person who mattered the most.
I hugged Aryan tightly again, closing my eyes as his hand moved soothingly across my back. His touch was gentle, filled with a tenderness that melted away the tension between us.
As I opened my eyes, something caught my attention. In the distance, I saw Aditya standing there, watching us. He smiled warmly at me, his eyes filled with happy tears.
His smile was gentle, like an unspoken reassurance that everything would be okay. Then, with a playful thumbs-up, he vanished in the blink of an eye.
Ankita's POV :-
Later that night, Aryan and Ansh were playing with building blocks together, and I couldnโt help but stare at them lovingly. Ansh was climbing on Aryanโs back, and the way Aryan held him so protectively, making sure he didnโt get hurt, warmed my heart.
But one question had been troubling me for a long timeโwhat should I tell Maa and Papa?
They were so happy about my decision to get married. They were even discussing inviting Virenโs family over for lunch one day.
And the most important question: what would their reaction be when they found out about me and Aryan?
I bit my nails nervously, unable to stop thinking about it. Thatโs when Aryan gently removed my fingers from my mouth, stopping me from biting them any further.
Aryan's POV:-
I could tell something was bothering Ankita. She had been deep in thought for a while now, biting her nails nervously. Ansh had already fallen asleep on my shoulder, so I placed him gently on the bed and surrounded him with pillows before taking Ankitaโs hand and leading her to the balcony.
I made her sit on the chair before sitting beside her. She was silent, staring at me as if lost in her thoughts.
Ankita's POV:-
โNow tell me, whatโs bothering you?โ Aryan asked, holding my hand in his warm, comforting grip.
"What will they think if I say no to this marriage?" I murmured, my voice barely above a whisper. "Theyโre already planning to invite Virenโs family over to our house."
I hesitated, feeling a knot of fear tighten in my chest.
"Will Maa and Papa understand us, Aryan? What if they get angry when they find out about our decision? What if they hateโ"
I kept rambling, voicing all my fears, when Aryan suddenly placed his hand over my mouth, stopping my stream of words.
"Just take a break, Ankita," he said gently, his eyes calm.
"Take a deep breath. Rest your mouth for a minute, and Iโll answer each and every question of yours."
Why was he so calm? I stopped speaking, realizing how fast my heart was racing.
"Are you done?" he asked with a smile.
I looked at him, still worried.
Aryan's POV:-
"You don't have to tell anyone anything, Ankita. I'll be the one to explain everything to Mom and Dad," I said, trying to reassure her.
Her eyes widened in surprise as she shook her head quickly. "But Aryan, theyโll hate me," she said, her voice trembling.
I cupped her face gently, looking into her eyes.
"No one will hate you, Ankita. Mumma loves you as own daughter. Sheโs always supported you in everything. Same with papa.Do you really think they would turn against you now? Iโll make them both understand. I love you, and I want to marry you. This is entirely my decision."
"But... what about Viren?" she asked softly.
"You havenโt given your final yes to Viren yet, right? So there's nothing final about that. Donโt worry about him right now. Focus on us," I said, my voice calm but firm.
She nodded slowly, but I could still see the uncertainty in her eyes. I knew it would take time for her to feel at ease, but I was determined to stand by her and make sure we got through this together.
