The sunlight beams across the room, leaving my eyes to open wide and wake themselves up. I stretch my arms and groan with satisfaction as my bones begin to click. I get myself up from the sofa and head to my small kitchen.
My kitchen theme was black and silver, which I love. I'm a very modern girl who loves their blacks, silvers and mirrored items. I look around and find my silver toaster and microwave sitting next to one another. I grab some bread and put it inside the toaster and waited for it to pop up. The fresh smell of toast was already filling the kitchen, it smelt delightful but it was only making me hungrier. I sigh as I waited, but soon realised I never even got my toppings out. I open my fridge and took out my large glass of jam, I love jam, but it has to be fresh raspberry jam. I'm not usually this fussy. I spread the jam onto the toast leaving it to be paired with its beautiful wine colour.
I took a bite from my toast which sent my jaw tingling, the jam delighted my mouth as I began to drool all over my toast. I pour myself a glass of coffee and also began to drink that.
It didn't take me long to finish my breakfast, I put my washing up in the dishwasher and walked away from it leaving it to do its work.
I head to my walk-in closet. Today I have the day off to do as I pleased. I decide to go shopping with Elisa. But I needed to get ready quick. I pull out my black leggings and a white top along with my black leather jacket. I was pleased with my look that I only shoved my hair up in a high pony tail. I put on my black boots and left my apartment alone once more. I have barely any makeup on but in my opinion... I don't think I need that much; I'm blessed with clear skin.
I got into my black range rover and drove towards Elisa's house, he doesn't live too far from me, only about ten minutes away, which is handy.
She waits outside of her house with her blue jeans on, a red top and some white trainers. I smile as I pull up on her driveway where she greets me and runs up to the passenger side and opens the door, there I'm greeted with her musky scent once again. She buckles her seat belt and we head off. The engine roars as we head down a hill, I turn the music up louder as we have our rave down to the shopping centre.
"I forgot to ask you yesterday about what took you so long to get to the car, we were waiting a while." Elisa questions me, but I feel like this conversation is going to last awhile, I turn down the music so I'm able to hear her properly without any disturbance.
"Oh yeah, some weird man came up to me in the alleyway." I say along with an eye roll, Elisa gasped and leant forward to know more.
"What?" I question her but she begins to giggle.
"Well... Was he handsome?" She questions me, is she out of her mind?
"I didn't look at him that long, he said that I should do the pole dancing more often." I huff as I turn the indicator on and turned the car left.
"Well, you were pretty phenomenal." She smiles at me and I smile back.
"Thank you." I give a bigger smile as I park up the car in the car park.
We unbuckle our seat belts and head out of the car, I pick up my bag and lock the car in its place. I turn to Elisa who is standing and waiting for me.
"Where to first?" I question and she begins to think.
"Let's go get a drink and some food first, I'm really hungry." I chuckle but nod as we head to a small cafรฉ in between two other shops, this cafรฉ is different to the one I went with my father yesterday. It had more tables inside and had a different layout. We both went up to the counter where we ordered our beverages and snacks.
Whilst carrying our trays as if we were in a canteen back at school, we found an open space near a large window. We both took a seat and place our trays down on the table. We remove our items and stack the trays up on the table next to us.
I took a bite out of my chocolate cake that I had brought as Elisa took a sip of her cup of tea that she had ordered.
"So, what did this man look like?" I nearly spit coffee out with Elisa's question.
"Elisa, what's with all of the questions?" I ask her, she's coming off as very pressurising. She's probably not meaning to be as she has a heart of gold but, seriously.
"Sorry, it just must be fate." Elisa took a mouthful of her own cake before looking away from me.
"Fate? You can't be serious, he literally spoke to me a tiny bit, I have no idea who he is, what he's doing. From what I know, I reckon he's some drunken man who was horny at the club." I roll my eyes and didn't even realise I had finished off my coffee with frustration.
"Is that his nickname? Drunken horny man?" Elisa chuckles and I nod repeatedly.
"You definitely won't be seeing him again then, he must be the type to stay in pubs, clubs, you name it." I laugh at her comment but then begin to think of the club and how there's never been a pole dancing show there before, well... That I know of.
"Elisa, don't you think it's a bit weird there has never been pole dancers there before?" I ask her and she laughs at me.
"You do know it was a trial run to see how much money they could make and see if they should keep the pole dancers, the owner said so in the newspaper." My eyes widen, how come I wasn't told about this?
"Oh." Is all I manage to say, she tries getting some news on her phone and the screen is covered with writing.
"Looks like they won't be using pole dancers anymore anyway, didn't make enough money...which is surprising." I nod as Elisa shows me her phone screen.
"Never mind, it's for the best anyway, those poor women may feel used and may even be followed home." Elisa nods as she agrees with me.
We finish our drinks and our snacks and head out of the cafรฉ door, we head to the shopping centre which is packed with people.
"Shall we go in here?" Elisa asks and points to the homeware store I nod to agree and we go through the open double doors and are faced with loads of different aisles, which are labelled, which is also helpful. We look around and go down to the 'mug' section, which also contains cutlery, plates, bowels and other sets. We're instantly drawn to the 'new in' section which displays glasses with initials on them, Elisa takes an 'E' glass and holds it tight, I have no idea why she didn't grab a basket, she's too clumsy to hold a glass around with her. We glance through the aisles once more but nothing intrigues me.
Most of our shopping came to an end, a few hours later that is. Elisa's blonde hair was waving all over the place from the wind, I don't get along with the wind that much, but we decide to sit in the park on a bench as people walk by. Elisa's phone began to vibrate.
"I'll be back." She says and I nod. I look around the park and notice a variety of people.
Couples, friends, but one man caught my eye. He was tall, he had blonde spikey hair, I could only see the side of his face but he was intriguing... A mystery. His back turned to me and I came back into reality. Elisa came off the phone and sat back on the bench, were I'm welcomed with her musky scent mixed with vanilla.
"Are you okay?" I ask her and try to get the mysterious man out of my mind, it was some sort of magnet attraction. Well not attraction but attention or something along those lines.
"Yeah, I've just got to head home." I nod and we both head to the car park once more, it was a five-minute walk from the shopping centre which meant we'd have to face the wind further, luckily my hair is out of the way and I'm ready to face the battle of the wind. The sky grew grey and clouds overtook the sun. Clouds overlap over clouds making the sky look even darker than it did before, making it look like it'll rain. We both got into the car where the air-freshener breezed its cinnamon scent around the car, making it feel even more cosy.
Two minutes into the drive and droplets of rain were already splurged all over the windscreen. The windscreen wipers begin to move in sync, wiping left to right. I drop Elisa off at her house where the rain worsens and falls heavier. I pulled up at my driveway and locked the door and ran to my apartment door, but I was too busy rummaging around looking for my keys, but was struggling.
"Struggling?" A deep voice speaks from behind me, I recognise it and roll my eyes.
"Bruno." I say, his hair almost looks black from the wet weather.
"Arianna." He smiles.
"What do you want?" I fold my arms and wait for his response; I wait awhile until his lips part and his Adams apple begins to move.
"Do you want to train with Dante and I tonight?" I look at him and tilt my head in confusion.
"We'll both buy you a drink at the bar after?" He convinces me and I nod.
"Give me a message when you want me round." I say and he nods, I look at my watch and realise its five o'clock. I finally find my keys and unlock my front door. I'm welcomed again with the floral scent, but notice that the flowers are dying. I should've got myself some fake ones. I put my keys onto a trinket and make my way to get myself a coffee.
I get myself ready into some sport clothing, well, a sports top and sports lettings to be precise. I tie my hair up into a tight pony-tail and make my way to my front door, I get a message from Bruno telling me that the boys are ready. I lock my apartment door and head to their house. On my way the darkness engulfs my body and everything around, making it difficult to see a thing, the street lamps are currently not working. I almost feel like I'm never really at my house, but I suppose that's what you get when you're in a mafia, no 'me time'.
I get to the gate and it allows me in, I wait at the double doors until I get a reply from my knock.
