you frown for a brief second, wondering if you should ask her if she's okay before deciding against it—if she wanted to tell you she would have. you notice that jirou keeps to herself most of the time and you don't want to overstep a boundary she has. the last thing you want is to accidentally upset her, even if you were concerned about her.

you turn to kaito, internally grateful that he seems to have moved on from the whole mall situation and is back talking to you like nothing happened. it feels... good to have kaito back. you kind of missed his presence somewhat the past few days.

you open your mouth to say something but you hear a strangely familiar voice holler out through the shop, saying a name you know all too well.

"jirou! long time no see."

you snap your head up to see two boys making their way towards a purple haired girl who looks like she's about to pass out. your (e/c) eyes widen when you take in her features and indeed notice that it is in fact jirou. your heart thuds against your chest when you take in her features; purple hair, earphone jacks on her ears, pouty lips and gorgeous brown eyes that look like they've lost the gleam in them.

did she know you were in the shop? or was she just ignoring you?

not that you blame her honestly.

as the two boys step closer, you notice the small smile on her face and feel yourself calm down because she doesn't look as panicked or uncomfortable as she used to. deciding that they were her friends and that you had nothing to worry about, you turn on your heel with a sad smile—slightly disappointed you couldn't get to converse with the cute girl you had been talking to for the past few weeks.

but as you take one step away, you overhear something that makes you see red for a few seconds.

"leave me alone." jirou forces out through gritted teeth, voice shaky as she tries to hold her ground.

"wow, for once the school's slut doesn't want to be near people. that's pretty ironic isn't it?" the brown haired boy chuckles, but his chuckle is dark and sends a shiver down your spine when you hear it.

you know that fucking voice, you know you do. come on, (y/n), think! your brain desperately racks through your memories rapidly, trying to place a face with that voice that you know you've heard before. now is not the time to be stupid, (y/n).

the mocking tone the boy uses has you whipping around, ignoring kaito who asks you what you're doing with a small frown and slightly harsh gaze. your lips part in shock when you finally connect the curly brown hair and topaz eyes and mop of black hair to two figures you've met once in your whole life.

daiki and eiichi if you remember correctly; the two boys who beat up midoriya that day you and bakugou went to go find him and they were here—slowly cornering jirou who looks like she's about to break apart any second.

when her eyes take a small glance at yours and you see the horrific fear and disgust that pools in her watery gaze, something inside of you snaps.

before you know it, you're taking one of your ready meals box into your hand and use your quirk to fling it at the brown haired boy's head just like you did the first time you met.

and that one move manages to spark chaos around you.
