a few days earlier...

chris, nick, and matt sit in the minivan, already like thirty minutes into filming their next video. as always, they've been arguing constantly, so nick's going to have so much to edit out so the video doesn't end up being a whole fucking movie. chris sits in his usual spot, giggling as matt yells at nick for like the fifth time in ten minutes. this week's car video is a 'would you rather'. they've been taking turns with nick's phone to read them out.

"okay, ENOUGH matt!" nick shouts, and matt finally goes quiet. "we get it!"

"no, you clearly don't, otherwise you would understand why i'd rather wear the same socks for a month than wear the same underwear for a week," matt retorts, then eats one of his fries with a grumpy look on his face.

"you're fucking crazy," nick says, shaking his head. matt sighs and shakes his head.

"you could just do it in summer and not wear socks!" he shouts, exasperated. chris laughs again, spilling a bit of his pepsi.

"ew, matt, you're gonna have your dogs out?" he says, pretending to be disgusted.

"oh for fuck's sake-"

"MOVING ON!" nick basically screams, snatching the phone off of matt and scrolling down. matt seems to forget that he's been yelling at him for the past fifteen minutes, because he immediately starts grinning and leans back to talk to nick and look at the phone.

"this one," he whispers, chuckling under his breath. "do this one."

"which one? this one? ...oh my god, yes," nick gasps before clearing his throat, ready to read it out. "christopher," he says, and chris rolls his eyes. he sits up straight, preparing to be asked the would you rather.

"would you rather be stuck in a room with rory for 24 hours," nick begins.

"god no," chris says.

"or, let your girlfriend go through your phone?"

chris grimaces.

"yeah, maybe being in a room with rory for a day isn't so bad," he says nervously, trying his best to play it off with a laugh. meanwhile, nick and matt are practically dying, matt even opening the door and stepping out of the car because he's laughing so hard. chris rolls his eyes again as matt gets back into the car, looks back at nick, and they both start laughing again. "you're both fucking idiots," chris says, getting annoyed. "this isn't even that funny."

"okay, okay, let's move on," nick pants, trying his best to collect himself. matt nods. chris adjusts his beanie. it's this random black one he has because for some reason he literally can't find his favorite beanie, the grey supreme one, and he has no fucking idea where he could've lost it. he can't even remember the last time he wore it.

"guys, have either of you seen my beanie?" he asks his brothers.

"you're wearing it," nick deadpans. chris sighs.

"no, my favorite one," he says, but nick gives him a puzzled look. "the supreme one? with the blue S on it?" matt nods, but clearly nick still has no idea.

"no, i haven't seen it," matt says, a small smile on his lips. "you must've just misplaced it or something."

"yeah, probably," chris agrees, wondering why the fuck matt is grinning right now because there's nothing funny about what he's saying. "let's just move on with the video."

"agreed," nick says. "matt, would you rather..."
