SHE sat down on the bed quietly and continued to stare into nothing, the sheer terror of the memory that happened only a week before hitting her once again.
"Changbin! Oh, my God!"
Changbin let out a tear of pain as he held the knife that stabbed his side weakly.
"I-I'm going to be fine. Please. Just go check on the others."
"B-But-"
"Mal, please..." he began in a soft, weak tone, "We're friends, aren't we? From now on, I'll be the first one to listen to you. I promise I won't belittle your fears again, okay? Just, please, make sure everyone else is okay."
Tears of regret and guilt streamed down his face, and he could only squeeze her hand tighter in order to get rid of the feeling.
It didn't work.
"Help is on its way. You're going to be fine, alright?"
He nodded, then rested his head against the wall behind him.
"Yeah. I hope so,"
As she hurried out of the room, she quickly dashed towards the stairs. Meeting the first room on her left, she was met by the sight of Seungmin holding his thigh weakly as he struggled to move, tears of pain and trauma raced down his face. Hyunjin, who was standing in the other side of the room, was holding his stomach and crying silently, occasionally letting out a groan of pain, or a plea for help. He grasped the edge of the bed, realizing that he could barely stand up straight.
"M-Mal, help. Please." her best friend pleaded, causing her to rush over to them with tearful eyes.
"Seungmin, please, sit down. Don't move, alright? You're going to be fine..."
He nodded weakly and followed her lead, which caused him to slowly but effectively take his seat on the bare floor. He grasped the knife stabbed to his thigh with a loud groan, making her kiss his forehead as she muttered comforting words.
"You're gonna be fine. You all will be. Just don't move..."
He nodded through his tears.
"I'm really sorry," he apologized, intertwining his hand between hers, "I'm really sorry, Mal. Tell Rajwan I love him."
She wrapped her arms around his torso, planting a clumsy kiss on his soft, dark hair.
"Shh, it's okay. Don't apologize, and don't talk like that, please..."
She muttered a few, more reassuring words before she walked towards Hyunjin, immediately wrapping him in a tight hug while being careful not to touch the knife.
"Hyunjin, baby... Don't worry. Please, sit down."
He grabbed her forearms as she set him down on the floor, helping him rest his back against the wall.
"I promise I'll listen to you. I didn't mean to yell at you, I was-"
She kissed his forehead quickly, causing him to stop mid-sentence and hug her waist.
"I'm not mad, okay? Please, just- you're going to be fine. I promise."
As soon as she left the room, she hurried to the room beside it, which the door to was closed. Loud, pleading groans of pain escaped from under the door, making her hurry inside.
And stop in her tracks.
The sight of Felix, her boyfriend, lying on the floor with a long, sharp knife impaling his back hit her like a locomotive. He lied on his stomach and grabbed the carpet before him weakly as if it was to somewhat ease the pain burning through him.
"H-Help. Please... My back hurts a lot-"
"Felix! Felix, sunshine, look at me-"
She was kneeling by his side in less than a second later. She grabbed him by the waist and rushed to kiss his hair, protectively holding him close to her.
"M-Mal, is that you?" He asked in a weak, broken tone, "I miss you so much..."
She nodded through her tears, "yes, sunshine, it's me. Baby, sit up straight, okay? Look at me."
She grasped his forearm and slowly pulled him up. He sat down on the floor across from her and clutched her hands weakly, tears of pain, shock and heartbreak streaming down his face.
"I-I'm sorry, I didn't mean to yell at you, or hurt you- I want you to be protective of me, I'm not going to hurt you again. I'm so sorry..." he gasped out, which caused her to wrap her arms around him and hold him tightly, careful not to touch his injured back.
"You're going to be fine, sunshine. Just hold on for me, please."
He squeezed her torso tighter as he sobbed.
"Please forgive me."
She shushed him gently, then planted a small, weak kiss on his cheek.
"It's okay. Don't worry about it,"
He let out a few, violent sobs while pain radiated through his back.
"It's okay, sunshine. You're going to be fine. I promise."
She let him go, and stared into his handsome face, then at his pink, plump lips. He teared up and leaned in towards her, his lips aching for contact.
"Please, kiss me..." he whispered, trying to ease his mind through the pain.
She nodded and leaned in closer almost immediately, crashing her lips against his. He returned the kiss with a weak, broken one, which made her heart ache.
"I miss you, sunshine, so much. You're going to be okay, I promise."
He nodded after they broke away, wrapping his arms around her once again, seeking reassurance.
"I miss you, baby. Please stay by my side. I can't go through this without you."
She hugged his waist tighter.
"Always, Felix. Always. I'm never letting you go."
