𝐎𝐔𝐓 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐁𝐋𝐔𝐄

                                                                   Day - 28

In the hazy morning light that filtered through my curtains, I slowly blinked my eyes open, realizing that I was alone in my bed. I instinctively reached out to the space beside me. My hand met only the cool emptiness of the sheets, sending a small jolt of surprise through me.

"Cam?"

No Cameron. Just me.

I groaned, I was hoping of seeing a handsome young face first thing in the morning when I woke up, still grump and still sleepy, I reached out for my phone and knocked everything off of my night including the little romantic dessert that Cam made for me. The dessert had already made contact with my flirty rug, and consumption was out of order for this delicacy.

Sorry, Cam, just gotta lie to him now.

I wasn't in the mood to put my contacts back in for the sake of clear vision, I put my glasses on after snaking my hand around on the carpet to pick up all the stuff I knocked off the table.

My phone, the dessert, a book I was reading the night before last night.....and a piece of paper?

I completely ignored the shit I made and picked the paper up.

'I wanted to wake you up with a kiss, but duty called. Didn't want to leave you I swear, but had to. Don't worry, your brother didn't see me, and your sister seems pretty cool.'

Did Cameron meet my sister?! No, no, no, no no no no...

She is going to make him his, she can seduce and seduce very well, I can't have him around her.

"No, this can't be happening," I muttered to myself, frantically running my fingers through my messy hair. The tangled mess only mirrored the chaos in my mind.

I replayed the events of the night before in my head. I was freaking out and maybe had a panic attack but I was still thinking what was going on with Cam and Rox.

My phone buzzed, and I nearly jumped out of my skin.

It was from Emma, 'pick me up in 5.'

Didn't she ignore me for a week an a half just to text me totally out of the blue saying she needs a ride?

I hastily grabbed my essentials—phone, keys, and a half-hearted attempt to fix my disheveled appearance—before storming out of my room. The house seemed unusually quiet, no one around?

"Rox?" No answer. I walked down the stairs, the uneasy feeling growing with each step.

As I reached the bottom of the stairs, I called out again, "Roxanne?" No one in sight.

The living room was untouched, I knew for a fact that Alex was not home, he always left earlier that me, but where the fuck was my sister?

I went to investigate her bedroom—the guest room—it was certain she left. Her bed was not made, phone gone, no note as usual and the room was a total mess.

Feeling a mix of frustration and concern, I dialed her number. I tried again and again, this time opting for FaceTime. Still, no response.

"Damn it, Rox," I muttered to myself, pacing the room. My mind raced with various scenarios, each one more worrisome than the last. Was she upset about something? Did she go out without telling anyone?

My phone bussed with more and more texts from Emma, I rushed out the door forgetting my keys, but I soon realized I won't need them. She took my car...bitch.
