Gemini was silent for a moment, processing what Phuwin had said. Then, anger flared up in his eyes. "What does he think of himself?!" Gemini burst out, his voice sharp with frustration. "After everything you've done for him, P'Pond is behaving like this with you? You helped him so much, and now he’s treating you like this?"

Phuwin looked down, his eyes still red from crying. "Gem, it’s not..."

"No, Phu! Why are you crying over someone like that?" Gemini cut him off, his tone softening but still firm. "He doesn’t deserve your tears. You're stronger than this. You’ve never been the type to break down like this. Why are you letting him hurt you so much?"

Phuwin clenched his fists, his voice quiet and pained. "I don’t know, Gem. I wish I could tell you why. But... it hurts. His sudden distance...it’s like he’s tearing me apart, bit by bit."

Gemini softened further, seeing how deeply Pond’s actions had affected his friend. "Phu..." he whispered, his heart aching for him.

Phuwin shook his head, struggling to find the right words. "He’s... just a friend, right? So why does it hurt this much? Why does his ignorance make me feel like I'm losing something so... important? I don’t know why, but Pond means so much to me now. More than I thought. And the way he’s been acting...it’s like a knife to my heart."

Gemini’s anger melted away, replaced with sorrow for Phuwin. He gently placed a hand on Phuwin’s shoulder. "I’m sorry, Phu. You don’t deserve this, and I hate seeing you like this."

Phuwin let out a shaky breath and nodded. "I just... I don’t know what to do anymore. But I know one thing for sure. Somewhere along the way, Pond became so important to me that his distance feels like I’m losing a part of myself."

Gemini frowned, his heart hurting for Phuwin. Without a word, he pulled Phuwin into another hug, tighter this time, trying to comfort him. "I’m sorry, Phu," he murmured. "You don’t deserve this pain."

For a while, they stayed like that. Phuwin's breath gradually steadied, and the storm of emotions seemed to calm down. After some time, Phuwin wiped his tears and leaned back, giving Gemini a small, grateful smile.

"But what are you doing here, Gem?" Phuwin asked, his voice a little hoarse from crying. "Don’t you have classes?"

Gemini gave him a sheepish grin. "No, actually. Professor’s absent, so he canceled classes. I was free and thought I’d come surprise you." He paused and chuckled. "But looks like I was the one who got surprised."

Phuwin’s lips twitched up into a light smile as he reached out and ruffled Gemini’s hair. "Thanks, Gem. I really needed this surprise."

Gemini playfully swatted his hand away and grinned. "You better not hide stuff like this from me again, okay? You know I’m here for you." He puffed his chest out a bit and gave a playful smirk. "I’m a big boy now. I can handle anything. You want me to beat up P'Pond for you?"

Phuwin chuckled, shaking his head. "Okay, okay, big baby. I won’t hide anything from now on. But no, don’t beat him up. I think he’s just stressed. He’ll come around eventually. You don’t need to go that far."

Gemini pouted playfully. "I’m serious, you know. One punch, and I’m sure he’ll snap out of it."

Phuwin laughed softly, feeling a bit lighter. "I appreciate the offer, but no violence, okay? We’ll figure this out... somehow."

"Fine, fine," Gemini relented with a teasing grin, "but the offer stands. If he keeps messing with you, I’m stepping in."

Phuwin just smiled, grateful for Gemini’s presence. "Thanks, Gem. I really don’t know what I’d do without you."

"Well, you’ll never have to find out," Gemini said confidently, giving Phuwin’s shoulder a reassuring squeeze. "I’m always here, Phu. Always."
