In the late summer of 1987, after 3 years of dating, Missie and Johnny made the mutual decision to break up. It wasn't nasty by any means, they were just growing apart. While Missie stayed in chicago and attended the university, Johnny packed up and moved back to the valley, never to speak to one another again. The two went on to live completely different lives. Johnny moved into an apartment complex in Reseda after working in construction for a while and worked as a handy man, while Missie graduated with honors in 1990 and was offered a job at the Chicago Museum of Art.

In the summer of 1990, Missie met her loving husband, Jack Pearson, and the couple were married and had two children: Mason and Brooke.

Johnny met an alcholic and got her pregnant with their son. While Missie and Jack were raising their family, Johnny walked out on his. The reason being is, he never truly got over Missie, and this was a major reason why no other relationship lasted.

30 years later, a widowed Missie is now living in the valley with her now adult adoring children, and she runs the art museum in Encino with her best friend and sisters in-law. One fateful day at LaRusso auto, she happens to cross paths with Johnny. They begin to reconnect, and possibly, fall in love again.
