Flashback
— June 1991, Chicago, IL
"C'mon slow pokes!" Missie said as she laced up her skates, ready to step into the roller rink as the DJ played Bee Gees Night Fever. "You know I love this song!"
"Hold up! I'm not as fast as you." Ali laughed as she slowly stood up, ready to join Missie in the roller rink
"I know that's right." Beth laughed as she, Kathy and Lana laced up their skates, then slowly joined Missie and Ali on the roller rink
Ali, who had just arrived from San Diego, joined the girls for a typical Friday night in Chicago. Since Jack, Kathy's boyfriend, Andy, and Lana's boyfriend, Antonio, and the guys were having a guys' night watching a football game at Missie and Jack's, the girls decided to have a ladies' night. They headed to the roller rink, then went to the diner down the road for burgers and funnel cakes.
As the music played, the ladies glided gracefully across the roller rink. "We should make this a regular thing," Missie suggested, skating alongside her best friends.
"I completely agree, it's so nice to have some quiet time without the boys." Lana said, holding on to her sister's and Beth's hand securely. "Even though I love my sweet Antonio."
"All I can say, they better not be destroying my living room." Missie said, holding onto Ali's hand
"Knowing men and their football watch parties, you'll probably go home to a little disorganization, and that's putting it lightly." Beth laughed as she kept a firm hold on Kathy and Lana's hands
"By the way, how is it going, living with Jack?" Ali asked as she kept a firm hand on Missie and Kathy's hands to keep herself from falling
"Like every couple, we have our disagreements, but we work through them." Missie smiled. "He treats me like a princess."
"Lana and I both told him if he ever hurt you we were going to kick his ass." Kathy said as she skated along side Missie and Ali, keeping a firm hold on their hands. "You're all he's ever talked about you know? He loves you with all his heart and soul."
"I love him too." Missie smiled.
"I know this is changing the topic, but the five of us are having a girl's night every month: no guys, just the girls." Lana said
Kathy glanced at her sister, "Every month? What if Ali doesn't come to Chicago every month?"
"Easy fix! We'll go to her." Beth said. "C'mon a night out with the girls in San Diego? What's better than that?"
"You have yourself a deal, Clarke." Missie smiled
"To girls' night!" Lana smiled as she continued to skate
"To girls' night!"

𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐒𝐎𝐅𝐓 𝐒𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐃 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐑𝐀𝐃𝐈𝐎 was heard as Missie stood in front of the bedroom mirror, smoothing out her baby blue blouse which was paired perfectly with her white denim capri pants and manolo flats. After adding a touch of hair spray to her brunette hair, she reached over to the dresser and applied her beloved perfume, J'Adore Dior, which she had worn since the 90s. She spritzed it on her pulse points, setting the perfume back on the dresser. Finally, she grabbed a pair of dainty hoop earrings and placed them in her ears.
Brooke entered her mother's bedroom, holding her favorite Kendra Scott bracelet. "Mom, could you please help me with this bracelet? I'm having trouble putting it on."
Missie turned around to face her daughter, a warm smile spreading across her face. "Of course, honey," she replied, gently placing the delicate bracelet on her daughter's wrist. "What are you and the girls doing tonight?"
"We're headed to the roller rink first, then back to Whit and Kait's place for the night," Brooke said. "Are you sure you'll be okay?"
"I'm going to be all right sweetheart." Missie reassured. "Besides your brother will be here."
"That's comforting, ma." Brooke laughed. "What are you and the aunties doing tonight?"
"Grabbing a couple of drinks at the new bar that opened." Missie said. "It's one of those upscale, quiet bars, which is something I'm into now that I'm older."
"Hey, I prefer the quiet bars too." Brooke laughed. "Please promise me you'll be careful, now that Johnny's old sensei is back. If he tried to hurt you and uncle Dan back then, imagine what he is capable of now."
Missie smiled as she embraced her daughter. "I promise you sweetheart, I will be. You and the girls have fun and be safe. I love you."
"I love you more."

Missie and the girls settled into a cozy spot at the back of Paradise as the waiter presented them with their drinks. Paradise was an upscale bar, a far cry from the usual rowdy establishments. Instead, it exuded a quiet ambiance, creating an intimate atmosphere for its patrons.
"I don't know about you girls, but I'm glad to be taking a break from the museum for a few days." Missie said as she sipped her wine, then glanced at Amanda. "Amanda, are you taking time off from the dealership?"
Amanda chuckled as she sipped her wine. "I wish. Now that Daniel has reopened the dojo, I'm working the dealership while he's training Robby and Sam."
"Robby and Sam?" Kathy questioned, sipping her martini. "How's that going?"
"Daniel said he's learning a lot." Amanda said. "Anyway, how are my beautiful nieces and nephew? What are they doing tonight?"
"Jesse's out with his friends, and Brooke went with the girls to the roller rink." Missie said, setting her wine glass down. "I guess Whitney and Kaitlin are hosting a sleepover party afterward at their place for the four of them."
"Those girls have never been apart," Beth remarked. "It's hard to believe they've grown up and have their own lives."
"Missie, how do you manage to find peace and quiet?" Amanda inquired, setting her wine glass aside. "It seems like Sam and Anthony are constantly at odds, even during their sleep."
"When the twins go to bed, or they're out doing their own thing, then there's peace and quiet." Missie laughed. "I wouldn't have it any other way."

"Girls, come on!" Brooke exclaimed as she laced up her skates. She stood up from the bench and headed to the roller rink, the upbeat rhythm of Madonna's Into the Groove filling the air. "I absolutely love this song. I won't wait all night, you know."
"Someone's excited!" Whitney laughed as she, Kaitlin, and Farrah stood up and headed to the rink. "Wait for us, we love this song too!"
"Tell me this isn't better than going to the club." Farrah said, skating alongside Kaitlin and holding her hand
"Now wait a second, you know I love dancing all night long at the night club, especially the one in New York." Whitney smiled as she skated alongside Brooke
"I'll choose coming here, than going to the club any day." Brooke smiled as she skated alongside her cousins.
Kaitlin smiled as she skated along side Farrah and her sister. "Can we just go back in time when everything was simple and not a care in the world?"

After leaving the roller rink, the girls headed to Sal's, where they settled into a cozy booth and indulged in a delightful dinner. Sipping on refreshing cokes, they reminisced about the fun they had at the roller rink, with Brooke expressing her delight, "This is the best girls' night ever! I completely forgot how much fun I had there." As she savored her fries, she couldn't resist dipping them in ketchup.
"We all needed to de-stress." Whitney, who sat beside Brooke said.
"By the way, how's Robby doing since the tournament? That was a pretty rough kick to his shoulder. Have you heard anything?" Farrah asked
"Uncle Dan said he's training with him and Sam, which is good for him, it will help him find a balance in his life. You'll never believe who showed up the other night though." Brooke said
"Who?" Kaitlin asked, setting her soda glass down
"John Kreese, the old Cobra Kai sensei." Brooke said, setting her cherry cola glass down. "He's back, and he and Johnny got into a fight, now that Cobra Kai won, I have a feeling he's gonna try and wiggle his way in."
"Do you think he will actually let him come back?" Whitney asked, setting her coke glass down. "I mean after everything he put Johnny and the uncles through."
"I honestly don't know." Brooke said, finishing her fries. "It's just a really bad feeling I have."
"Just keep your eye out." Kaitlin said
Brooke nodded as she sipped her cola. "Well, this was fun, we need to do this again."
"Most definitely." Farrah said, then raised her soda glass in cheers. "To girls night."
"To girls night."
