Deepika's PoV

Bronze skin that seemed to glow in the light. Green bewitching eyes with a calculating gleam to them. That innocent expression that hid so much mischief. His height towering over my small frame. It can't be him, my brain screamed. But no matter how many times I looked, it was him.

Arun Iyer.

He was dressed preppy, a white button shirt and some faded jeans. His gaze on the other hand, didn't leave mine for a single second. I'd forgotten how to breathe. "Deepika-" He started once more, and I inhaled sharply. His voice had gotten deeper, I noticed numbly. 

I didn't like the way he said my name, so slow and patient, seeming to promise forever. 

"Don't say anything," My voice cut through sharply, Shreyas's breath fanned across my neck as it dawned on me that I was still in his arms. I rose to my feet, dusting off my jeans and gathering my scattered belongings. 

Shreyas on the other, noted the heated exchange of glances between us and wisely stayed silent about how confused he was. "Piku-" Arun started once more, but just a single withering glance from me was enough to shut him up.

"Piku, don't I at least deserve a chance to explain?" He cried out in frustration as I brushed past him, walking down the hall to the stairs.

Hell to elevators

"Piku-" He called out once more, I picked up my pace, eager to put distance between me and him. 

"Deepika, stop." He grunted, authority lacing his command. My feet froze over as I cast a glance at him and responded.

"No."

My confidence and bravado vanished as I realized how close he was, his long fingers curled around my wrist yanking me to his chest and into his arms. "Deepika, as much as I love how hot you look when your annoyed, we need to talk."

"No, she doesn't need to."

My eyes flared up with surprise at the new voice, the voice belonged to none other than Shreyas Iyer.
