Deepika's PoV

Gods! This is so awkward

Stealing glances at Shreyas's, I noted how red his ears were. He seemed just as flustered as me. Inhaling a breath to speak, "Shreyas?"

"Yeah?" He managed to stammer out before glancing away from me once again.

"We kissed." 

You have no idea how much courage it took to just say those two words, it practically destroyed me from the inside.

"Yeah.."

Doesn't that boy have anything other then 'Yeah' in his vocabulary?!

"So it's awkward between us," I continued, praying to all the deities in the world to aid me in this conversation.

"Yeah."

That was it, It was the last straw. I exploded with irritation, "Do you not know anything other than 'Yeah'?" I mimicked him in a ridiculously deep voice. The corners of his lips twitched before he broke into a fit of laughter. I folded my arms, and huffed.

"Gods, your so easy to annoy," He wiped a tear away, holding his sides before taking a good long look at me. And laugh again.

"I hate you," I shot him a withering glare before turning away. 

"Sure, if that helps you sleep at night." His broad shoulders rose in a shrug, 

"What's that supposed to mean?" I cocked an eyebrow at him.

"Nothing," He batted his eyelashes in a girlish innocence. 

"What is love?" He blurted out quite randomly, my eyebrows rocketed upwards. A hum escaped my lips as I dropped into thoughts. 

"I guess it's an emotion," I started but he cut me off with a dry remark, "Gee, I didn't know that."

"Shut up, and let me finish." I scoffed.

"Well, it's an emotion thats supposed to wipe out logic. When you close your eyes all you can do is think about them or-" I started rambling,

"We both don't know?" He interrupted once more.

"Yep."

"I have a girlfriend." Shreyas once again added a random statement.

Except this statement tugged at the strings of my heart.
