Johnny lays on the couch, looking at the ceiling and frowning to himself. The gang was spread across the living room.

Soda and Steve sit on the floor in front of the couch, cuddled up to each other. Two-Bit and Dallas lay in front of them, Two-Bit, leaning on Dallas.

Darry sits in his chair by himself and Ponyboy was in his room doing homework again. Johnny doesn't want to bother him so he lays there sadly.

"Ponyboy, come here please," Darry calls.

Footsteps come out into the living room but Johnny keeps his eyes on the ceiling, trying not to look too sad. Johnny could hear quiet murmurs and whispers from Ponyboy and Darry as he sighs.

Johnny sits up and looks at the ground before standing on his feet. He sticks his hands into his pockets.

"I-i think I'm going to go home," Johnny murmurs. "Y'all seem busy..."

Before he could ever take a step, someone grabs his arm and pulls him close. He looks and sees Ponyboy smiling softly.

Johnny smiles back at him and Ponyboy giggles. Ponyboy leads him to his room and smiles more.

"Sorry I've been so busy Johnny, the teachers have been stacking me up with work," Ponyboy says.

"Its fine," Johnny replies.

The younger boy lightly pushes Johnny to the bed and makes him sit. The older not sits and hesitantly lays down.

Ponyboy lays next to him and nuzzles his face into Johnny's neck. Johnny carefully holds him and smiles more.

"You're warm," Ponyboy murmurs.

"I am now," Johnny asks.

"Mhm," Ponyboy hums.

They stay like that for awhile and they both slowly fall asleep.
