The band performed and for a while it seemed that everything was normal โ€” until Detective Callahan and Detective Chase walked in. Andy stopped singing resulting in his band mates to stop playing. Andy went to walk off stage but Robert stopped him, "Do you want them to chase after you? Just be calm Andy." He spoke in a low tone and Andy didn't respond but he stayed onstage. From behind the bar โ€” Christian put the towel on his shoulder up as well as taking some people's drinks and cleaning up โ€” he left soon after, not in the mood to deal with cops this late.

"Robert Mercury, come with us." Detective Callahan ordered and Robert couldn't help but be confused โ€” he placed his guitar on its stand and hopped off stage, "What's the problem officers?" Detective motioned for the man to follow and that's what he did. The bandmates all looked around at each other in confusion โ€” none of them knew why Robert was being brought by himself to the station.

โ€”๐Ÿ“ปโ€”

"Look officers. I want to do whatever I can to get out of here as soon as possible." Robert said, in the same room that Andy was once in, the two detectives sat down across from him. "We're going to ask you some questions about Jenny Amick." Detective Callahan crossed his arms, "Look, I know you two didn't know each other that well but we still need to question everyone." Robert nodded. "Okay..." He cleared his throat. "What would you like to know?" Detective Chase spoke, "Where were you when Jenny went missing?"

โ€”๐Ÿ“ปโ€”

Robert left the station around midnight โ€” he hoped none of his bandmates touched his guitar or else he would be more pissed than he was. He had called his brother in the police station to come give him a ride, he'd get his car early in the morning, right now he just wanted to get home. "Mom's gonna be pissed if she realizes I took the car." Adam announced as he pulled into the parking lot. Robert walked over to the driver's side. He patted his brother's back. "Don't worry, I'll tell her it was my fault if she asks โ€” let me drive back." Robert was going to go back to the house instead of his own apartment simply because he felt more comfortable doing that. "I can drive fifteen minutes here but not back? Where's the sense in that?" Adam โ€” being the teenager he was โ€” questioned as he rolled his eyes. Robert just opened the door and pushed him into the passenger seat.

"Couldn't you be more gentle? I'm a growing boy." Adam crossed his arms as Robert got into the car, "Growing boys need to learn to listen to their big brother." Robert ruffled Adam's hair โ€” it was starting to get long like his โ€” Adam groaned and pushed his hand away, Robert smiled at the action before driving back to the house โ€” hoping that tomorrow would be a better day.

โ€”๐Ÿ“ปโ€”

Robert felt like the drive was talking forever โ€” Adam had already fallen asleep โ€” as he drove, he kept his eyes on the road before he screeched to a halt at the silhouette of a person running in the road, "Jesus fuck!" Robert exclaimed as Adam woke up with a start. The person ran away even as Robert got out of the car, "Hey!" He called and Adam tried to shush him by covering his mouth. "What if that was a serial killer?! Let's just get back in the car." Adam couldn't help but hide behind his brother as Robert began walking towards the path the stranger took. "What are you doing?!" Adam whispered as he grabbed onto Robert's arm, "What if that was Jenny?" He looked at Adam before pointing, "Get back in the car." Adam shook his head, "I'm coming with you โ€” to protect you big brother." Robert sighed before pulling his brother closer โ€” the two walking away from the car.

โ€”๐Ÿ“ปโ€”

"It's been ten minutes. We haven't found anything, can we go?" Adam asked and Robert shook his head before putting a finger to his lips โ€” "Wait, shush, did you hear that?" Robert and Adam listened on the abandoned path a sound of crackling leaves โ€” as if someone was walking on them. Adam looked terrified and Robert hid him behind him. The two continued walking before Robert stepped on something, "What the-" He picked up the ripped piece of paper and saw that a message was written on it that made his shiver, "What is it?" Adam asked and Robert handed it to him, "What does it mean?" He asked and Robert shook his head โ€” "I don't know but I think we should go." The two dashed out of there โ€” Robert held onto the note in a death grip.

โ€”๐Ÿ“ปโ€”

As the two got back into the car, Robert drove them back home. It was a silent car ride as neither of them knew what happened โ€” or they just didn't want to speak. Robert pulled into the driveway and sighed, "Go inside, I'll be right there." Adam nodded and sneaked back into the house. Robert looked down at his hands and looked at the note, he was in thought as he tried to decipher what it meant. He shook his head โ€” he would figure it out in the morning โ€” he put the note in his pocket and got out of the car and walked into the house. He had to go to the police โ€” maybe they would know what to do.

Maybe... maybe...

Fire, walk with me...
