𝘓𝘶𝘤𝘢𝘴 𝘚𝘮𝘪𝘵𝘩'𝘴 𝘗𝘖𝘝 :

I opened my eyes as I squinted them as the sun burned against my pupils, I pushed my hair back as I groaned sitting up in the front seat of my car. I looked around forgetting that we had to pull over on the side of the road to sleep in the cars.

I was just getting used to being on a comfortable bed, I guess we don't always get to keep things the same way. " Nora, Oakley " I mumbled as I shook at the brunettes shoulder who was sound asleep in the passenger seat. " hm? " she mumbled before waking up.

" time to wake up " I looked back at the blonde who was laying in the back seat, I decided to just let Oakley sleep since she was just in the back, I looked up when I saw Layla roll her window down and peek her head out as she pointed forward ahead of her car.

I nodded my head as she was telling us to go that way, we had to find somewhere new to go now that our old home had been covered with zombies, some people might think that it's the Jones sisters faults knowing that none of this has happened ever since they arrived.

But in my mindset it's nobody's faults, if we didn't have Carla we wouldn't have known about the herd and we would have not had enough time to get out of there with our stuff and alive. As long as everyone is living and safe, then I'm not complaining at all.

I drove down a road as I quickly turned the car when a zombie came out of nowhere as I quickly had to swerve again as we almost drove into a tree, " shit! " I yelled as I gripped the steering wheel. " you could have just hit it! " Nora was gripping onto the dash in front of her.

Oakley had woken up and was holding onto Nora's seat, when the car finally finished spinning around in circles and faced the way it was driving before Layla stopped her car next to us as Dylan rolled his window down, " what the hell happened? " he chuckled a bit as I sighed.

" I didn't realize it was a zombie and my first intention was to swerve the other way " I stared at him looking a little annoyed that I was even having this conversation with Dylan, " everyone still living? " I peeked my head over as Oakley was glaring at me and Nora.

" yes we are very much alive Lucas! " the blonde girl complained as she put her seatbelt on now, that just proved I was a terrible driver. " alright let's move out " Dylan hit the door of his car signalling for his sister to start driving, as the car drove away I breathed in a bit before pressing on the gas petal to drive.

" Nora you have the map still? " I spoke as the girl took her bag out from under her legs, " yes I do " she handed it to me as I quickly swatted it away from her, " you read it I'm trying to drive without nearly crashing again! " I sensed her staring at me weird before she shrugged.

I noticed a small town up ahead as I turned on my walkie talkie as i spoke into it, " town up ahead " I placed it down as I heard the static sound before a voice appeared, " You don't wanna come here " I heard a soft sweet innocent voice on the other end of the walkie talkie, it wasn't anyones from our group, as I noticed Dylan had heard it to from his walkie talkie as he was looking at me confused from the window.

" why not? Who am I talking to? " Nora took the walkie talkie but held it out for all of us to hear as I decided to slow down the car just as Layla did as well, " just trust me you don't, I'm not giving to much information about myself " the voice appeared again, when I heard some more voices in the background.

" he'll kill you if you come here " the voice said again, " what who will!? Wait if your with him why are you trying to help?! " Nora spoke into the walkie talkie again as the statics appeared more, " what are you doing Ly- " a male voice appeared in the background when the static turned off.

" what the hell? " Oakley raised an eyebrow a little confused as she looked at me and Nora as we looked at the town, it was still far up ahead. It was obvious whoever that girl was, was clearly talking about this town in front of us, " so what are we doing? " Carla spoke as I jumped when she scared the crap out of me at my window.

I rolled down the window and stared at her with a scared face still, " can you not like jump scare people randomly?! " I complained as she laughed under her breath, " no but really what are we doing? Whoever that girl is probably thinks she's doing so well with scaring us " Carla had a smirk on her face as she looked at Nora who laughed.

" I mean come on now guys, who the hell would wanna kill anymore of the living people that they would need to be able to survive?! " Carla explained as she really did have a point, why kill more living when the dead already out numbers everyone already, " I say we just risk it and go there? " Carla shrugged a smirk still planted on the girls face as I went to talk but she cut me off again, " yeah but- " I spoke.

" but we don't really have many guns as weapons to use against those people if they attack us, but I mean we have two axes and some knives. We would just wanna hope they don't got some guns or some sort of flame thrower that they plan on lighting people on fire with, or even a long ass sword where they hopefully don't plan on also decapitating someone's head " she smiled when she finally finished what she was talking about.

" now I'm second guessing going to the town Carla thanks " Oakley nodded as she laid back in her seat devastated, " okay but we need to know the consequences if that happened " Carla crossed her arms as I sighed, " or maybe we could camp out there and see what goes on in that place that is so spooky and dangerous " I pointed towards a barn off in the middle of a field nearby the place, " what if they use it? " Oakley asked.

" then their gonna get a surprise " I laughed as Nora looked over at Carla and me, " wait so you plan on sleeping in a barn? " she looked at Carla, " I mean yeah I'd legit just sleep on grass if I was aloud to " Carla walked over to Layla's car hopping into the window.

I drove over through the field as we quickly hid the cars behind the barn before all getting out of it, " leave the stuff in the cars " Layla walked over to the barn door shaking at it before opening it, we heard a few growls before Layla kicked the door wide open, " we have friends " Dylan spoke before stabbing an axe through its head.

After knocking out all of the zombies that lured inside of the barn we dragged the bodies away before entering the barn and looking around, " dead horse " I shined my light at a horse that's guts were hanging outside of it, " ew gross " Cally plugged her nose as it stunk, " cool " Carla nodded before looking at her sister.

" your weird and gross " she said to her as Carla just turned to me with her mouth dropped over offended, " guess princess doesn't like the horse as much as you do " I said to her as I had my nose plugged, " guess not " Carla chuckled before grabbing at the horses legs, " so anyone wanna help move the horse? " she grunted as she struggled to pull the large horse herself.

Nora walked over as she grabbed the other horses leg and I joined in pulling the dead horse outside, we decided to drag it all the way over to the side of the walls of the town as we placed it there before quickly running back to the barn secretly and quietly. " so Carla why'd you wanna put the horse there? " I was panting as I was out of breath now with sweat.

" thought it would be a nice welcoming gift to our "friendly" neighbours Lucas " she smiled with her hands planted on her hips, " ah so pissing off the dangerous guy is a great plan " I sighed before going and sitting next to Dylan, is it just me or is it dark already, like me and Carla and Nora were just dragging the horse which took like 30 minutes and it's already pitch black out.

Time has been going by so quickly now it's weird, we lit a little bit of a light but put it on something so it wouldn't light the whole barn up into flames while we are still inside of it, I closed my eyes peacefully as everyone had fallen asleep in different places. I was in the same spot as Dylan when I fell asleep as he had his Grey hat covering his eyes when he fell asleep.

I woke up like 30 minutes later to the Dylan shaking my arms quickly, " wake up man! Wake up now! " he whisper yelled as I looked at him weird he pointed to the barn door when I saw flashlights shining through the barn, " f-fu- fuck! " I whisper yelled as I quickly shook at Nora and Carla who fell asleep next to each other as Dylan went and woke up everyone else.

" alright we gotta figure out how to get to the cars all at the same time and get the hell out of he- " I was in the middle of talking when suddenly the barn doors swung open slamming against the walls, " we got company " a man stood there with blonde hair in the doorway with a smirk.

" ah the neighbours arrived " Carla cockily said to him as he suddenly shot a glare at her, " we kept our family here " the blonde said when we looked at each other weird, " there wasn't anyone in here tho where we got her- " I stopped that's when I realized, the zombies.. were their zombified people that they wanted to keep here.

" I see you murdered them again " the boy walked around the barn as a blonde girl was standing next to him, she shook her head disappointed at me as if I had 0 idea who this girl was. " Mason why don't we help our company out here? " the blonde winked at a brunette hair guy.

" Hey Ly how about you get their stuff for them, same with you " he pointed a blonde girl and a brunette girl that I noticed Dylan looking at, " come with me " Mason walked over as we didn't move that's when he glanced back at the blonde guy before looking back as he begged.

" please " he mouthed as we finally all gave up and went with the guy, " why you all so scared? I don't bite " the guy snarled as he rested his back against the wall with a smirk, we all walked with the Mason guy as I tried asking him questions, " who is that? " I whispered getting no response from him, clearly whoever this man is he clearly traumatized these people enough to not even give out his name to people.

I looked back seeing the two girls walking with some guys including they blonde guy carrying our stuff, " just talk okay, we won't say anything about you talking to us " I whispered to the Mason guy as Dylan joined in, " we promise " Dylan whispered as we still didn't get any answers from him.

We were taken through the gates as we all walked towards a big house before turning left and going down some steps outside of the house, that led downstairs towards a door, Mason opened it as he sighed before pushing it more open. " just please go in there " he pointed at a large jail cell almost, " what no?! " Cally protested as Mason sighed looking a little uneasy.

" please, it's just for tonight " Mason begged as I saw the fear in his eyes before looking at the group and nodding before I walked into the cell, " what Lucas are you crazy?! " Cally was still yelling a bit before following everyone into the cell door, " it's better then getting ripped apart by zombies " Dylan sat against the wall.

" I told you not to come here " the blonde girl showed up with our bags along with the brunette girl who looked more serious then the blonde girl, " you did what? " the brunette girl looked at the blonde as she was shocked.

" I told them not to come here because of this alright? " the blonde nodded before placing our bags on the outside of the cage for us in the morning, " you know what happens when you try to help people " the brunette whispered as I looked over at Dylan confused. " just go " the blonde said before the brunette glanced at Dylan before walking away through the door.

" your the girl on the radio " Nora spoke as she nodded slightly looking around anxious, " people just never listen do they " she turned around about to walk away, " what's so bad about this place? " Layla quickly called out, " Caleb Thompson " she replied before walking out the door, " wait who is Caleb Thompson! " Dylan called out but she was already gone.
