𝘕𝘰𝘳𝘢 𝘉𝘭𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘦'𝘴 𝘗𝘖𝘝 :

I woke up this morning as I yawned at the sound of my alarm clock, it was 8:00 am like usual, time to get ready for school. As I got out of bed a noticed a familiar face in my bedroom doorway. " Morning Nor Nor " it was my dad. " Morning Dad " I smiled.

" better get ready soon kiddo can't have you running late for school again " My dad chuckled under his breath as he turned and walked down the hallway towards the kitchen, i smiled still slightly as I went to my closet and threw on a t-shirt and a pair of baggy jeans. The usual outfit I wear.

I walked over to my bird cage, I smiled as I stared at the green bird with a dark blueish break that chirped away from its cage, " morning to you to pebbles " I giggled before turning around and grabbing my books off of my bed.

I headed down the hallway and towards the kitchen as I wrapped my hair into a low messy bun, " breakfast? " my father questioned as he watched as I packed my bag quickly, " not today I got an apple " I smiled as I threw my backpack over my shoulder and grabbed a red apple.

" alright then " my father hugged me quickly as he kissed the top of my head before watching me throw on my shoes, I waved goodbye to my father and ran down the stairs quickly of my apartment building, yes I lived in an apartment.

" Oakley! " I called out to the blonde girl that walked down the street she had a black leather jacket on over top of her white shirt with a black bow along with her black leggings, " hey Nora " she smiled slightly as she waited for me.

Not even two seconds later her two siblings showed up as fast as a lightning bolt, " we are running late kidlets! " Layla screamed as Dylan ran right past her, both of them were also blonde as well just like how Oakley was.

" did you just call us kidlets? " I questioned as I ran after the three of them, about a few minutes later we reached the school gates just as they were about to close, we managed to get through them right before they did tho.

" please tell me you got your side of the project done! " I stopped at a brunette boys locker and leaned against it as he chuckled under his breath so slightly, " I definitely did not " he said sarcastically tilting his head over.

" I hate your sarcasm " I shook my head disappointed as he pulled a booklet with a staple holding it all together, " oh well " he shrugged as I excitedly grabbed the booklet. " didn't think you would type this much Lucas " I laughed as he closed his locker and we headed to class.

Just as we got to class everyone was already their early I was so confused to why everyone was early but it didn't really bug me so I just sat down, I glanced over at Oakley who sat in the seat next to me. " why's everyone so early? " I whispered as she shrugged her shoulders.

" no idea I'm wondering the same thing " she whispered back before the teacher walked into the classroom, " okay students class is starting a little early today due to complications " he spoke before turning to the board as he began writing.

I raised my hand like usual knowing that I'm a very curious person, " Yes Mrs Blaine? " the teacher sighed when he turned around and saw my hand up already. " what complications are going on? " I fiddled with the pencil in my hand as I waited for a correct response from him.

" it's something with the school nothing terrible at all " he replied so I just nodded my head and went back to scribbling in my notebook, let's be real here. Did you really think I would actually focus on my history work?

About 20 minutes into class i fell asleep until I woke up to the sound of screaming and then explosions outside of the school window, " what the hell- " I spoke as I glanced over and saw kids gathered by the window, that's when I noticed some of the buildings that have exploded in the nearby city.

" Mr R! " Oakley yelled when she turned over to see our history teacher walking into the classroom in a quick frantic, " alright kids we got to hurry " he spoke out of breath as he locked the classroom door quickly. " why what's happening? " I questioned when he quickly turned on the tv.

All of us gathered around the old history tv in the front of the classroom that had the news on, News report, we have a world wide problem going on right now in the city. It's spreading rather quickly. Everyone is to stay indoors and not leave at all, everyone is to stay safe, we aren't so sure what these things are but what they seem to be is biting other people and creating more of them. Stay safe we have refugee camps in these places ca- " that's when the tv suddenly turned off when a thing jumped at the person on the screen.

" oh come on! " I pushed my brown hair back and ran over to the window and covered my mouth, " oh god " that was when I saw a bunch of students screaming and running around the school yard, with the things chasing them. Some kind of monsters.

I looked over at Oakley who gulped slightly, " do you think those are.. " she stuttered for a moment before turning her eyes to face me, " zombies? " she turned her head to look at everyone, " they sure look like zombies " I spoke as I looked out the window.

" we're gonna die! " a kid screamed in the classroom and I quickly shushed them, if we were really in an apocalypse filled with man eating zombies the best thing to do was stay silent. " we have to be quiet " I whispered and they nodded.

" these are definitely zombies " I continued whispering as I noticed some people getting more and more frightened, " Layla.. Dylan " Oakley whispered as her voice cracked, she wasn't sure if her older siblings were even alive or not.

" none of us can open that door " Lucas whispered from over at his desk the boy had been sitting there trying to think of another better plan to use, " none of us can leave " he got up slowly and quietly as he heard screaming in the hallway.

" do you think any of them got into the school? " the teacher asked as he peeked through the classroom windows into the hallway, " most likely " I whispered as I walked over and quickly ducked grabbing the teacher to duck when a bunch of the monstrous zombies ran past.

" okay so as long as they can't get in here we should be fine " Lucas walked over as Oakley did the same, it was nice to have two people I knew trapped in the same classroom as me. Even tho I knew other people in the class I was just closer with these two people.

Suddenly the doors started shaking of the classroom that's when some students started freaking out in the classroom, I glanced my head over and that's when I saw a whole group of zombies banging at the door.

" shit! " I called out and quickly grabbed a hold of Oakley's hand and ran over to the window, Lucas stared at the group of zombies as the teacher gulped, " okay look I said don't panic but now we can panic now! " I yelled once the window of the classroom had broken.

Suddenly a zombie managed to climb through the window jumping onto our history teacher, Oakley screamed in fear and looked away as the zombie bit at the history teacher. Lucas ran over shoving it away but instead of the zombie giving up it started charging at Lucas instead.

" Watch out! " I yelled as Lucas quickly moved and I threw a desk chair at the zombie knocking it over onto the ground, I glanced over when suddenly all the students started screaming that's when we saw all the zombies had gotten through the door and had started violently attacking.

" we can't save them! " I screamed and quickly grabbed only the sleeve of Lucas's sweater and Oakley's hand and ran out the other door that had been unlocked still, " look I don't feel safe now! " Lucas screamed when Oakley turned around, " run! " she yelled.

A whole bunch of zombies chased after us down the hallway but we quickly ran down the stairs avoiding each of the zombies as best as we can, when the coast was clear down one hallway Oakley started looking through classroom windows, " what are you doing? " Lucas asked.

" looking for my siblings idiot " she mumbled when she looked in the classrooms that Layla and Dylan usually had classes in, but they weren't in there unless they were one of the zombies. " we gotta go, the school is definitely a really bad place to take refuge in! " I ran down another flight of stairs not letting go of my friends.

Right as we made it to the bottom floor we managed to run through the doors, we haven't seen to many zombies yet near the school except for the few odd ones around. " we need to get to my house! " I yelled as I quickly ran over to a random abandoned vehicle in the street.

I hopped into the passenger after making sure no zombies were inside of the vehicle, Oakley hopped into the back and I quickly signalled for Lucas to get into the driver seat. Even tho it was a zombie apocalypse he was the only one technically allowed to drive at his age.

" isn't this stealing! " Lucas shut the door as I shrugged when I saw a key, " just start it! " I yelled as he quickly turned the key a few times right when we were about to lose hope, the car's engine started running right away.

" yes! " I yelled excitedly as Lucas stepped on the gas peddle heading towards my apartment building as fast as he could drive, " I have already ran into a few people! " he freaked out when Oakley leaned her head forward. " yeah a bunch of dead people! " she laid back in her seat.

Let's just say this has already become one of the worst days yet once we get to my apartment.
