APPEARANCE — amethyst is of average height, standing around 5'6". she's thin and has lanky limbs, her fingers being nimble. amethyst has something called vitiligo that affects the melatonin of her skin. a small, pale patch of skin resides right on her forehead, causing the front parts of her hair to be a strict white while the rest of it is a soft blonde— stick straight. her eyes are a deep blue, clear and crisp like the pacific ocean.

PERSONALITY — amethyst has a very childlike demeanor, always teasing others and never having many regards to formality. but she loves the people close to her and becomes very concerned for their safety. not to mention that she has faith in her friends and family, as being a deeply loyal person is a strong attribute to her personality— loyal to a fault. amethyst can also be sarcastic at times and mainly uses her sarcasm and snarky humor as a defense mechanism, not exactly letting people get too close. amethyst is observant, always taking in small bits and pieces of the world to paint a bigger picture. this helps her intuitive side immensely. small things about people can help her tell if there's something wrong— whether that be physically or mentally/emotionally. she's in touch with this side of herself, casuing her to be nurturing and compassionate. although she may not be very motherly, her fun and bubbly attitude keeps the people she cares for entertained and distracted from what's really bothering them, helping them escape for a while. she brings a sort of charismatic charm to the people she interacts with, acting as a human magnet, someone they can instantly find a comfort in and talk with like they've known her for years. while amethyst may leap into action to help others, she doesn't do it for herself. she's not one to ask for help and fights her personal battles on her own. it's a pride thing for her, believing it's weak and a betrayal to herself if she ever let her walls down. she doesn't want anyone to see how much she struggles. amethyst radiates in confidence, but what you see is not always truth. her fake confidence only lasts for so long and by the end of the day, she shuts down, going over everything she did wrong. in other words, she wears a mask. it takes a person she truly trusts to have her break down her walls and she just hasn't met them yet. amethyst can be described as a true broken smile, a smile she plasters on to help others, but a smile just to keep them from ever suspecting that she's the one who needs to be cared for.

setback: amethyst must be in a certain range of people to use her powers and by the time they're too far away, she cannot sense them anymore and cannot do anything else. in simpler terms, as long as she can still see them (even if she's not facing them) she can still use her powers.
