Here we go! The start to my fanmade season!

Enjoy!

"It's been a few months since we saved Earth and stopped the black hole generator. There was no more kraang, no more Triceratons, and best of all; no Shredder, Jake, or their goons. They've all completely disappeared from the city. But enough about that for the moment! Let's get this story started with where our entire lives are about to change even more, and literally, a day right before the most important day ever: my birthday."

A FEW MONTHS has passed since the heroes had saved Earth from the Triceratons and things in the city had been quiet since then. The kraang had completely vanished and were nowhere in sight, even TCRI had been quiet and completely abandoned, but they weren't the only ones that had vanished. Shredder, Jake, and their goons had vanished from the city and their old lair had been abandoned and empty since then as well. Things in the city has been peaceful and quiet with nothing but a few petty crimes that were committed by the Purple Dragons or a group of petty thievesโ€” nothing that they couldn't handle.

For our heroes, everything about their lives has been about survival with every new, big, bad threat that came their way but now, everything was quiet and peaceful. It was as if they can finally relax and just enjoy being the teenagers that they are, hanging out with each other or going to school; being normal... well, normal as they could be. For the first time in their lives, it felt like they weren't living a war. They were just... kids.

"Oh, come on! There's gotta be some bad guy we can fight!" Mara complained, a bored look on her face as she and Briana were on patrol along with Calista. "I need some action!"

"They're all gone, M," Briana said. "Even the Foot Clan left the city. It's usually just the Purple Dragons or a thief causing trouble."

Mara gave a small groan. "The Purple Dragons are way too easy to beat, they're barely even a threat."

"If there's ever another bad guy, it'll be because of Miss Little Mutant Girl here and her freaky family." Calista mumbled underneath her breath.

"Hm?"

"Oh! It's nothing," Calista said sweetly, putting on her little smile on her face. "Just that after all that fighting, it's kinda nice to just relax and not have to worry about a fight coming."

"I guess that's a true," Briana said, yet lately, she couldn't feel a bit wary of her friendโ€” as if she was seeing the real Calista that she didn't notice before. "It is nice to be able to relax for a while."

"Fine, but if I can't get some action, then let's talk about someone's big day tomorrow..." Mara said, smirking at her.

"M..."

"What? It's your birthday tomorrow! And I totally got you the best present ever!"

Briana shook her head, a soft chuckle leaving her lips. "M, I already told you that you didn't have to get me anything."

"Oh, I know you told me that, but as your best friend," Mara said, slinging an arm around her shoulder. "It's my job to make sure that I give you the best present that you could get."

Calista, on the other hand, couldn't help but roll her eyes. She hated how Briana was her girlfriend's best friend. It wasn't supposed to be Briana, she was Mara's best friend, not some freak.

God, how badly she wanted things to go back to normal.

Looking away from the two, Calista looked out towards the view of the city again. For a split second, everything looked normal until she squinted her eyes at something she could've swore she saw move. She stepped closer to the edge and her eyes widened when she realized what it was: a lone Foot Bot soldier.

"Uh, guys...?"

Both Briana and Mara looked towards the area where Calista was pointing and their eyes widened at the sight of the lone Foot Bot soldier.

"Hey, alright! Finally, some action!" Mara said excitedly.

Briana frowned slightly. "That doesn't make sense. The Foot Clan hadn't shown themselves since we stopped the Triceratons. Why come out now?"

"Oh, geez, I wonder why," Calista muttered to herself sarcastically. "Aren't you their target?"

But Briana hadn't heard her this time. "Maybe we should call for backup."

"Eh, it's just one little Foot Bot," Mara said with a shrug. "We can handle it."

And with that, Mara jumped to the next rooftop without warning, chasing after the Foot Bot.

"M!" "Mara!" Both Briana and Calista shouted in unison before rushing after her, jumping to the next rooftop and next.

"I STILL VOTE that I make our baby sister's birthday cake." Michelangelo said, a smug smirk on his face as everyone was in the kitchen.

"For the last time, Mikey, you're not making an algae and worms cake for her birthday." Leonardo said firmly.

"Who said it was gonna be an algae and worms cake, bro?"

"You're not making her a 'pizza cake' either, Mikey," Eclipse said. "Whatever the hell that is."

"You guys just don't want to admit the fact that she might end up liking it." Michelangelo complained.

Raphael scoffed, feeding Chompy a slice of pizza that the baby alien turtle was happily eating. "The only reason why Briana would end up eating your 'pizza cake' is because she wouldn't want to make you feel bad. But later on in the night, she's gonna be sick because of it."

"No, she won't."

"Mikey, she tried a slice of your marshmallow, jalapeรฑos, black olives, and chocolate pizza that you made last time and she got sick with a stomachache that lasted five days." Donatello reminded. "Besides, you know her favorite type is an ice cream cake."

Michelangelo blinked, as if the memory was coming back to him. "Okay, fine, I won't make it."

"Don't worry about the cake, Mikey," Henry said. "I'll grab it in the morning when the store opens on my way here."

"Okay," Michelangelo said as he sat down at the table next to Donatello. "So, what else do we need?"

"Well..."

๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘

"WHY IS THIS Foot Bot even going?" Mara questioned as the three of them were still following after the robot that kept jumping rooftop to rooftop, as if it was leading them somewhere.

"I don't know, but I don't like this," Briana admitted. "Something's not right here."

"No, really?" Calista mumbled sarcastically to herself. "Obviously."

The three teenaged girls came to a stop as they landed on a rooftop, watching as the Foot Bot that was still running, only for it to run out of the city, right past the sign that read: Welcome to New York City.

"What? Oh, come on!" Mara complained. "He had us follow him just to leave the city?"

"He's not just leaving the city," Briana said, a look of realization falling onto her face. "This is why we haven't seen Shredder, Jake, or any of their goons in a while, because they're not even in the city."

"And how the hell are we supposed to know where they even are?" Calista questioned.

"So, now what?" Mara asked.

"Let's head back to the lair," Briana said as neither her or Mara realized the annoyance that came across Calista's face for a second before it vanished. "We gotta let the others know."

With those words, Mara and Calista turned around to start heading back while Briana stood there a bit more, staring out at the direction that the Foot Bot had taken for a few seconds later. She shook her head and turned around to go, until a sudden voice called out to her.

Oh-oh-oh

Briana froze and halted in her steps, spinning around at the sudden voice she heard. "What...?" She muttered. "It's that voice again.."

"B? What is it?" Mara asked from behind.

"I... did you two hear that?" Briana asked.

Calista ignored the urge to roll her eyes. "Hear what?"

Briana blinked, staring in the direction of where the voice came from, suddenly feeling like there was something pulling herโ€” something that was telling her to leave the city.

"There was a voice," Briana admitted. "I... I don't know why, but it sounded like a woman singing, I thinkโ€” and I think she was calling out to me."

Mara raised an eyebrow, confused. "To you? But why?"

"I don't know," Briana answered honestly. "But I think the voice wants me to follow it."

"Well, isn't this just great?" Calista mumbled to herself with an eye roll. "You're hearing things now."

"B, follow it where?" Mara asked.

Briana took one last look at her before in the direction that lead out of the city.

"To the unknown."

๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘

"YOU GUYS FOUND a Foot Bot?" Eclipse questioned once Briana, Mara, and Calista had arrived back at the lair and informed them.

Mara nodded as she crossed her arms over her chest. "Yep, but it left the city without even trying to fight us."

"Why would a Foot Bot show itself to you guys, just for it to leave the city? And why now? Shredder, Jake, and their goons aren't even in the city!" Raphael said. "It's like they completely vanished off the face of the Earth."

"Master Splinter did beat Shredder in that fight," Donatello added. "And Henry did beat Jake too."

"Pretty sure I broke his spine when I dug my claws into it," Henry said. "But somehow, I doubt that would be enough to kill Jake."

"So, we're probably gonna end up seeing him again." Michelangelo said, tossing Chompy into the air and catching him in his hands every now and then.

"But that's not the only thing, right? What about the voice you say that you heard?" Leonardo asked.

Briana nodded. "It sounded like someone was singing, but it wasn't like a song. It was just vocals. Mara and Calista didn't hear it, justโ€”"

Oh-oh-oh

Briana blinked at the voice as she frowned slightly. "You guys didn't hear that?"

"Hear what?" Henry asked.

"The voice." Briana answered while April grabbed onto the Aeon crystal around her neck and closed her eyes, focusing her powers.

"No," Zane replied. "We didn't."

"Well, you're cracked." Casey joked lightly, earning an elbow to his ribs by Zane.

Oh-oh-oh

Briana frowned lightly. "There it was again. Nobody else heard it again?" Everyone shook their heads.

"Actually, I did this time." April admitted, letting go of the crystal and reopening her eyes.

Everyone turned to her. "Wait, you heard it?" Briana asked, relieved that she wasn't going crazy.

"Yeah, it definitely sounded like someone singing. A woman." April confirmed.

"So, you're both cracked." Casey joked again, only to get smacked upside the head by Kaz. "Ow!"

"The fact that they both hear it proves otherwise, Casey." Kaz said.

"So, you two are hearing this song that the rest of us can't hear?" Eclipse asked.

"So, they're both nutjobs." Calista muttered under her breath before feeling eyes on her. She looked up, only to find Henry glaring at her.

"Well, it's more like I'm overhearing it because of my powers," April explained. "Whatever the voice is... it's more directly towards Bri."

"How long has this been happening?" Donatello asked.

"It just started again now," Briana said. "It only happened once after we saved Earth from the Triceratons and after that, nothing. It only started recently after we saw the Foot Bot leaving the city."

"Why do I get the feeling that this has to do with the Foot Clan?" Raphael questioned.

"Because it probably does," Leonardo said. "Which means we have to stop them."

"Aw, yeah, boy! That means we got another adventure on our hands!" Michelangelo said excitedly, tossing Chompy up into the air and walking away, to the horror of both Raphael and Briana.

Briana rushed forward and caught Chompy in her hands before she and Raphael glared at Michelangelo. "MIKEY!"

"Finally! We're gonna get some action!" Casey said excitedly.

"Yippie..." Calista mumbled sarcastically underneath her breath, earning a glare from Henry.

"So, what are we gonna do?" Zane asked.

Leonardo and Henry shared a look with each other before back at everyone. "We're gonna go find out what the Foot Clan is up to and stop them," Leonardo said.

"Pack up, everybody."

๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘

"LEONARDO, HENRY, A word please?" Splinter asked, walking over to the two, who were standing in the dojo, discussing a plan.

Both Leonardo and Henry nodded. "What is it, sensei?"

"My sons, do you two know why you are the leaders of this team?" Splinter asked, causing them to look confused.

"Um... yeah. Because I asked to be," Leonardo recalled. "You say it wasn't because of my skills."

"I'm not exactly sure why you picked me too," Henry said. "You kinda just did, sensei."

"I said that only to temper your ego at the time," Splinter told Leonardo before looking at the both of them. "I knew, even when you two were little, that you both would grow up one day to be the leaders of this team. And when I pass on, to be like a father, as well."

"Pass on? What are you talking about, sensei?" Leonardo asked.

Splinter only gave them a warm smile. "Leonardo, Henry, if I can impart only one piece of wisdom that will remain with you two forever, remember, giving guidance to your brothers, sisters, and friends does not come here..." he pointed to their heads first. "It comes from here." He pointed toward their chestsโ€” their hearts. "Family doesn't end in blood, my sons. Always remember to hold those you love closest to you, and never let them go."

Although neither Leonardo or Henry knew what to make of this, they both nodded. "We won't, sensei."

And with that, the two of them then left the dojo to go meet up with the others. Once they were gone, Splinter let out a deep breath and nodded softly to himself.

"They will be alright."

๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘

ONCE EVERYONE HAD their belongings and gathered in the ShellRaiser, they left the lair and Leonardo drove the vehicle out of the city. However, the drive was longโ€” longer than the one to April's grandfather's farmhouse had taken as hours and hours had passed. One by one, everyone had started to fall asleep while Henry and Leonardo were the only ones awoke, each one taking a shift at driving so the other can get some sleep.

Suddenly, the ShellRaiser jolted out of nowhere and came to a sudden stop, waking everyone up. "What the hell was that, Leo?" Raphael asked, rubbing his eyes to rid himself of the sleep. "Why'd you stopped?"

"I didn't," Leonardo answered. "There's something in front of us."

As they all got up from their seats and left the ShellRaiser, Briana held up Chompy to her shoulder, letting the baby alien turtle climb onto it before stepping out of the vehicle. There was an open valley around them, but nobody was focused on it and were instead focused on the fact that there was a massive wall of fog that separated them from their direction.

"Whoa..." Donatello breathed.

"What the..." Raphael, Casey, and Kaz started but trailed off.

"That's one big cloud." Zane said.

"It's just fog," Mara said as she walked closer to it. "We can just walk through it." She walked into it, only to get pushed back by an invisible force. "What the hell?"

Henry bent down and picked up a pebble from the ground, throwing it into the fog but nothing was thrown back. "So, living beings can't get through, only non-living objects can."

"Then, how come the ShellRaiser couldn't get through?" Calista asked, her tone holding a bit of annoyance towards this whole situationโ€” something that Henry took notice of and he rolled his eyes at her.

"Probably because we were in it." Briana said.

"So, how do we get through then?" Eclipse asked.

"Maybe there's a password," Michelangelo said as he turned towards the fog. "Open sesame!" Nothing happened. "Abra kadabra!" Nothing happened again.

"It's clearly not working, Mikey." Raphael said with an eye roll.

As everyone was trying to figure out how to get through, Briana walked up to the fog, drawn to it and what was on the other side. She slowly held up her hand and pressed it against the fog, only to have it part at her touch, clearing a path through it. From her shoulder, Chompy gave his cute baby-alien call that caught everyone's attention.

"How did you do that?"

"I don't know," Briana admitted. "I just held my hand up to it."

"Well, I guess we found our way in," Donatello said. "And we should probably hurry before it closes on us again."

They quickly got back into the ShellRaiser and into their seats while Leonardo drove the vehicle slowly through the fog, following the path. The moment that the vehicle entered, the fog closed right behind them.

But what none of them had realized was that a familiar mutant tiger was watching from afar while using his jetpack to keep him in the air. He landed on the ground in front of the fog before he too tried to walk inside, only for the same invisible force to push him out.

In annoyance, he growled before using his jetpack to fly away, heading back to report to his master.

๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘

INSIDE THE FOG, the ShellRaiser was still moving along the path but even from inside the vehicle, Leonardo could barely see what was in front of him, which made him nervous. Suddenly, the fog began to condense on the vehicle from behind, pushing it forward and causing the ShellRaiser to gain a bit more speed that nearly jolted the others out of their seats as everyone yelled out in surprise.

"Leo! Slow down!" Raphael snapped.

"It's not me!" Leonardo answered.

The ShellRaiser then came to a sudden stop, getting completely pushed out of the fog and onto the other side. They stepped out of the vehicle as the doors opened and found the fog closed behind them, leaving no way for them to get back out.

Mara tried to walk through it again, only for the same invisible force to push her back out. Briana walked up to it and held her hand to it, but nothing happened this time.

"So, we're locked in now," Zane said. "Somehow, I'm not surprised."

"I've got a feeling that the only way out, is doing what we came here to do." Henry said.

"Yeah," Leonardo said. "We'll leave the ShellRaiser halfway on the path and walk the rest of the way. That way, we don't surprise anybody."

And with that, everyone got back in the ShellRaiser again and Leonardo turned the engine on, driving the vehicle through the path. About halfway up, he parked the vehicle and turned the engine off and everyone walked the rest of the way. It only took a few seconds before the group came upon a bridge that lead into a kingdom, but what surprised them the most was that there were mutants walking among the humans, as if they had been living peacefully together.

"Oh..." Henry began.

"My..." Eclipse continued.

"Sweet..." Michelangelo gasped.

"Cha..." Raphael exclaimed.

"...Lupa!" Donatello finished.

Unlike everyone else who was staring in awe, Calista was the only one who couldn't help but cross her arms over her chest, the slightest hint of a frown on her face.

'Great, now there's a whole kingdom of freaks and people who think it's fine that they're walking among them.' Calista thought secretly to herself, a small look of disgust in her eyes.

"So, what's the plan now?" Kaz asked.

Both Henry and Leonardo shared a glance before back at everyone. "We'll split up into three groups to see if we can get any information or supplies." Leonardo said.

"We can meet back here at the entrance in thirty minutes." Henry added.

Everyone nodded before splitting up into groups of three.

๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘

"WOW, THIS PLACE is amazing." April said as she, Mara, and Calista walked around the kingdom, watching as the citizensโ€” both human and mutantโ€” busily hurried on with their daily routine, looking like they were in a rush to get everything ready despite the wide smiles on their faces.

"It's really not." Calista muttered to herself, rolling her eyes at her. She was already about annoyed the mutants, and the fact that April was with her and her girlfriend didn't make it better.

"Yeah, not gonna lie, it's definitely a nicer view," Mara agreed, while Calista only frowned at her. "Everyone here seems to be getting along really well." She looked over at her girlfriend. "What do you think, blondie?"

Calista placed on a small smile before speaking up. "Yeah, it's cool," she said. "Technically, the turtles wouldn't have to hide here."

Calista then noticed a couple of food stands nearby and glanced over at the two teenaged girls. "Hey, since we're gonna need supplies, we're probably gonna need food too. Mara and I can go check it out and see how much it costs," she narrowed her eyes slightly at April while wrapping an arm around Mara's waist possessively, clearly trying to show her who it was that Mara was with. "Is that alright, April?"

April knew exactly what she was doing by the sudden bitterness Calista held in her tone while speaking her name. At the sight of Calista's arm wrapped around Mara's waist, April felt a pit of jealousy growing in her stomach and she couldn't help but clenched her fists a bit.

Lately, April couldn't help but notice that Calista seemed... a bit off in her relationship with Mara. It was like Calista was just using Mara to one-up April and rub it in her face and to April, it pissed her off that Calista was doing it because maybe Calista wasn't in love with Mara, but she was herself. So, the fact that Mara was just a tool to Calista made her want to rip off the girl's face.

"Oh, yeah, that sounds like a good idea," Mara said as she grabbed Calista's hand and interlocked her fingers, not noticing the glare contest between the other two girls. She looked over at April and held out her arm towards her. "You coming with us, Cupcake?"

April had to ignore the urge to throw a smirk in Calista's direction while Calista herself looked annoyed by Mara's words, grumbling underneath her breath. But instead of doing it, April sent a smile to Mara and interloped their arms together.

"Sure thing, Mara." April said while her heartbeat raced faster in her chest.

And despite Calista wishing it was just her and Mara, the three of them headed off to the food stands.

๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘

"HEY, GUYS, CHECK this out." Michelangelo said, pointing at the large mural he stood in front of.

Leonardo, Henry, and Eclipse walked over to him to look over at the large mural of two adults with crowns on their heads that they can easily recognize as Flash Sentry and Twilight Sparkle. The only difference was that there was a baby girl with blue hair that had a purple streak in it and violet eyes wrapped in a pink blanket in Twilight's arms.

"I wonder who that baby is." Henry commented.

From a nearby stand, a woman had overhear him and walked over to the group with a friendly smile on her face. "Oh, that's Princess Diana," she explained, not seeming to mind that three of them were mutant turtles. "King Flash and Queen Twilight had her two years after they had to send the first princess away."

The four of them shared a look with each other before back at her. "They had another baby?" Eclipse clarified.

The woman nodded. "That's her in the mural," she pointed over at the mural next to the one that they were standing in front of. "That's the one for the lost princess."

"Thank you." Leonardo told her and the woman nodded before going back to her stand.

The four of them moved over to the next mural and once again, it was Flash Sentry and Twilight Sparkle, who was holding a baby wrapped in a white blanket. But this time, they could easily recognize the baby.

"Yep, that's Briana all right."

๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘

KAZ, CASEY, ZANE, Raphael, and Briana were looking around the kingdom to see where they should head first. As they searched, Briana looked over and spotted a group of little girls that had just finished braiding each other's hairs and while her brother or her friends hadn't noticed, she had walked over to the little girls and offered for her to do her hair, which the little girls happily accepted with the biggest smiles on their faces.

It was then that Zane noticed that she had walked off. "Uh, guys, where did Bri go?" He asked.

Raphael, Casey, and Kaz looked around, not spotting the teenaged girl with them. "Found her, she's over there." Casey said, pointing over to Briana, who was letting the little girls braid her hair.

Then, before they knew it, Briana's hair had been braided and even had flowers in them. Kaz, however, couldn't help but stare at Briana with an awestruck expression on his face. He knew that she wasโ€” is beautiful before but with her new hairstyle, she got even more beautiful to him.

The sound of a throat being cleared got his attention as he looked over to find Raphael, Casey, and Zane staring at him with smirks on their faces. "Somebody's in love." Casey teased lightly.

"Shut up." Kaz said, lightly pushing them away from him despite the fact that his cheeks had slightly turned pink. "I don't know what you're talking about."

"You sure? Cause the grin on your face says otherwise." Zane teased as well.

"Still don't know what you're talking about."

"Sure you don't," Raphael teased. "You still have the grin on your face."

Briana thanked the little girls and had conversed with them for a while before they say their farewells and she headed back over to the others. "Hey, guys," she said. "Sorry about that."

"It's fine," Zane said. "Nice hairstyle."

"Yeah, right, Kaz?" Casey asked, a small smirk on his face while Raphael and Zane looked amused.

Kaz nearly gave him the middle finger but kept himself from doing it since he was too busy staring at Briana with her new look while his heart pounded against his chest. He sent her a flirtatious smirk as he winked. "Yeah, it looks amazing on you, M'lady."

Briana felt her cheeks turned bright red while her heartbeat quickened in her chest and the feeling of butterflies returned to her stomach as her sapphire blue eyes met his dark brown eyes. "T-th-thanks." She stuttered.

"Of course, Love." Kaz said, making Briana let out a small giggle while her legs suddenly felt like they were shaking.

Then, the group started walking again, checking out all the different stands. Briana then noticed two large murals nearby in the square, getting her attention quickly. In one mural, it was of Flash Sentry and Twilight Sparkle holding a baby girl that she didn't quite recognized but in the next one, it was of Flash Sentry and Twilight Sparkle holding a baby girl wrapped in a familiar white blanket that she could easily recognize.

"...and that's why King Flash and Queen Twilight release the lanterns every year on the lost princess's birthday." An older woman explained to her daughter before the two walked away.

Briana looked back up at the baby girl in the mural that she easily recognized as herself. She slowly held out her hand, reaching out towards the baby girl in the mural but stopped halfway when she heard music playing. She turned around and smiled brightly before rushing over to where the band was playing as she started twirling around and dancing to the music.

Just as Kaz, Casey, Zane, and Raphael finished getting the supplies that they needed with the money that Kaz, Casey, and Zane split between them that they had in their wallets, they turned around and started to move away from the stand, only to find Briana having the time of her life with what seemed to be the biggest smile on her face.

Once again, Kaz was awestruck by her and found himself smiling softly at her as he watched her.

One by one, Briana grabbed people from the crowd to join in on dancing and soon, everyone was laughing and enjoying themselves. And one by one, Briana managed to pull Raphael, Casey, and Zane into the crowd before she went over to Kaz, a wide grin on her face.

"Come on," Briana said with a small giggle, holding out her hand to Kaz. "Dance with me."

Not wanting to see the grin on her face disappeared, Kaz gently took her hand in his as he smirked. "Anything for you, M'lady."

Briana couldn't help but blushed bright red before pulling Kaz towards the dancing crowd as Kaz twirled her around and around. The two of them dancing together, hand in hand.

From a distance, Raphael managed to get himself free from the dancing crowd to catch his breath and spotted his youngest sister dancing with Kaz. As he watched them, he couldn't help but notice how bright the smile on her face with every twirl that Kaz had her do and he himself couldn't help but smile softly at the sight of them.

He then spotted Casey and Zane dancing together hand in hand as well and he nearly snorted from how close their faces were from the other.

"And he thinks that Zane doesn't feel the same," Raphael said to himself with a small scoff. "Yeah, right."

After a while, Casey and Zane managed to get themselves free from the dancing crowd as well, walking back over to where Raphael stood, who greeted them with a smug smirk and his arms crossed over his chest. "Had fun, you two?"

"Shut it." Casey said, both him and Zane blushing a light shade of red.

Once the dancing came to an end and Kaz and Briana had joined the others, the rest of the day was spent exploring the kingdom and trying to see if they find out any useful information. At one point, they ended up running into the rest of their friends in the middle of the kingdom as the sun was setting.

"Anything?" Leonardo asked.

"We were able to get some food," April said.

"Other than that, everyone was pretty busy getting ready for the lanterns that they're doing later." Mara added.

"We were able to get some travel supplies too," Raphael said. "And a little bit of food too."

"And considering that we're stuck here, we managed to get directions to an inn since we're gonna need a place to stay for the night." Zane added.

"To the boats!" A citizen had called out from nearby.

The moment that Briana heard that, her eyes widened at the words, remembering how back when she was a little girl, she'd sneak out of the lair to watch the lanterns every year on her birthday. Now, here she was, about to see them in person.

Henry noticed the way that her face had slightly lit up. "We should probably head to the boats."

Briana blinked, thinking that they would've all gone to the inn instead to try to think of a plan for the next day.

"Yeah, why not?" Leonardo said. "We got what we needed and after all, it is your birthday."

"What do you say, Little Warrior?" Raphael asked. "Ready to see them in person?"

Briana couldn't help but smile at them.

"I was born ready."

๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘

QUEEN TWILIGHT SPARKLE was looking out the window at the view of the kingdom, a small sigh leaving her lips with a hint of hope in her eyes. She knew what today was and she really hope that somewhere in the kingdom, her eldest child was out there.

After all, it was like the prophecy said; on her fifteenth birthday, the child would return.

The moment that the prophecy popped in her head, she couldn't help but shake her head, remembering how she had to grew to fear not just the prophecy, but the visions of her eldest child and what could possibly be her future during her pregnancy with Briana.

How that fear led her and Flash Sentry wanting to do anything that they could to give Briana her best chance at surviving the prophecy.

But at the end of the day, her best chance was them sending her away to Hamato Yoshi no matter how badly the decision broke their hearts.

"Mom?"

She looked behind them to see her thirteen-year-old daughter stepping slowly into the room. The older woman gave her a soft smile as she walked over to her.

"Diana, are you ready, sweetie?" Queen Twilight Sparkle asked.

Diana had blue hair with a purple streak in it and violet eyes that were shielded by her black glasses. She was wearing a sky blue striped pink shirt, a pink skirt with white stars on it, short socks, and pink leather heeled shoes with white laces on them.

"I am," Diana said before she frowned slightly. "Do... do you really think that she's here?"

"I do, sweetie," Queen Twilight Sparkle said, resting a soft motherly hand on her daughter's cheek. "I have hope on that."

"But what about dad?" Diana asked. "He won't be able to get in till the fog's gone."

"I know, but we'll see your father and your sister again," Queen Twilight Sparkle said. "Do you know why?"

Diana shook her head.

"Because in this family of ours, we always find each other," Queen Twilight Sparkle reassured. "No matter how far apart we are."

At her words, Diana smiled softly and nodded. "Okay."

Queen Twilight Sparkle smiled softly, pressing a motherly kiss on her forehead. "I love you, sweetie."

"I love you too, mom." Diana said.

And with that, the mother-daughter duo then left the room together with soft, warm smiles on their faces and hopeful looks on their faces that one day, their family would be reunited.

"YOU KNOW, WHY don't you two lovebirds have some fun?" Mara asked with a smirk once they managed to get a rowboat.

"You guys sure?" Briana asked.

"Oh, yeah, think of it as a date." Eclipse teased, making both Briana's and Kaz's faces to turn a light shade of red.

"Have fun, lovebirds." Raphael teased with a chuckle at their red faces.

Casey snickered. "Yeah, just don't have too much fun."

"You know what, Jones?" Kaz didn't hesitant to give him the middle finger for that comment, which only made Casey and the others laugh.

Eventually, the others decided to watch the lanterns from the kingdom while Kaz and Briana used the rowboat. Kaz paddled the rowboat until they reached the middle where they decided to wait, and Kaz couldn't help but notice that Briana looked a little tense and nervous.

"Everything okay, M'lady?" Kaz asked curiously.

Briana let out a small sigh, closing her eyes for a second until she reopened them. "I've been sneaking out of the lair for fifteen years just to see the lanterns. Dreaming about what it would feel like when those lights rise in the sky." She confessed. "What if it's not everything I dreamed it would be?"

"It will be."

"Yeah, but what do I do then?"

Kaz gave a small smile. "Well, that's the good part. You get to find a new dream."

Briana couldn't help but smile softly at him. A few seconds later, the two were having a conversation while taking turns at petting Chompy when Briana noticed a faint light in the sky. One by one, lanterns slowly started to float up towards the sky.

"Kaz, it's starting." Briana said softly, a look of awe on her face as she smiled widely.

And as the two stared at the lanterns that had been released into the sky, some of the lanterns happened to float closer to them; some moved past the boat or up.

However, Kaz felt his eyes drift away from the lanterns and onto Briana, who was too busy staring at the lanterns too noticed. He couldn't help but noticed how the stars shined down on her as Briana gently placed the tip of her fingers on one of the lanterns, pushing it softly up to join the other lanterns.

As he stared at her, Kaz couldn't help but smile softly while his heart raced in his chest from the sight of the wide smile on her face. The only thing he wanted was for that very smile to stay on her face because to him, she meant everything to him and all he ever wanted was for her to be happy. While she was too busy staring at the lanterns, Kaz reached behind him to grab something.

By the time that Briana turned around to face him, only to find Kaz holding up two lanterns in his hands. "How about lifting them up?" He asked with a smirk.

Briana grinned widely, carefully setting Chompy onto her lap and gently taking the lit lantern that Kaz passed to her. At the same time, the two of them lifted their own lantern and let it float away from their hands, watching as their lanterns twirl around each other as they flew.

"Thank you," Briana said, her sapphire blue eyes meeting the pair of dark brown eyes of the teenaged boy she's been in love from the very start. "For everything."

"It's like I say," Kaz said. "For you, I'd do anything."

Briana smiled softly before looking back at the lanterns. For a split second, Kaz glanced back at the floating lanterns before looking back at Briana, a smile on his face and an awestruck look on his face. But then, Kaz reached over and gently rested his hand on top of hers, making Briana turn her head to look at him as her cheeks turned bright red.

As they stared at each other, Kaz gently brushed a strand of her purple hair out of her face as the two slowly started to lean in close to one another. Slowly, their eyes began to close and right when they did, their lips connected for a kiss that the two happily enjoyed while Chompy happily chirped, sitting on Briana's lap. When the two slowly pulled away, Briana couldn't help but giggle while a giddy smile formed on her face.

"Would... would it be... okay if I... a-a-ask if w-we... could mayโ€”maybe do it... again?" Briana asked softly, stuttering a bit at the end.

Kaz shook his head as he smiled softly, his cheeks turning a light shade of pink. "I was hoping you'd ask."

Briana smiled softly as she let Kaz gently cupped her cheeks with his hands, their eyes locked in a lovingly stare as the two slowly leaned in, their lips inches apart from the other. Then, Kaz closed the gap as he closed his eyes and pressed his lips against hers for a kiss, and Briana closed her eyes as she happily returned the kiss.

But all she could think about was how this was the best birthday she's ever had.

MEANWHILE, JUST OUTSIDE the fog, there was a reason why the Foot Clan had completely vanished from the city since their new hideout was hidden deep at the top of a nearby mountain. Razar, FishFace, Bebop, Rocksteady, and recently arrived TigerClaw were kneeling by the foot of the two beds where their two disabled masters laid, undergoing their treatment that was being seen by Baxter Stockman, Soren, and Isabella.

"They took the bait, Master Shredder, Master Jake," TigerClaw informed. "They're made it past the fog."

"Of course they did, you idiot," Jake said from the bed he was forced to remain in, unable to feel any feeling in the bottom half of his body due to Henry breaking his spine. "My pathetic cousin is with them, after all."

"What of Hamato Yoshi?" Shredder questioned.

"He wasn't with them," TigerClaw explained. "Most likely, he remains in the city. Unfortunately, I was unable to follow the turtlesโ€”"

"Because of the fog, we know that already, TigerClaw," Jake interrupted with an eye roll. "None of you will be able to enter without my cousin's magic." He slowly turned his head to the side. "Soren, get me a vial."

Soren picked up a vial from the table and turned towards him, already knowing what he was planning on doing. "Master Jake, it's bad enough that you can't move your legs, but your organs are in a terrible state and areโ€”"

"Give me the damn vial before I make your head explode, Soren," Jake threatened. "Now!"

Isabella rolled her eyes at the male scientist. "Just do it, Soren."

Soren stepped forward and gave him the vial. Jake unscrewed the vial before creating a tiny ball of magic in his palm and sending it into the vial, sealing it so it wouldn't come out.

"Use this," Jake said as he held out the vial towards the mutant tiger, who stood up to grab it. "It'll get you past the fog."

Oh-oh-oh

"What the fโ€”" Jake muttered under his breath at what he heard.

The bedridden Shredder hadn't said anything, hooked up to the machine that sending the mutagenic formula that Baxter, Soren, and Isabella had created for him into his body as his goons were discussing the rest of their plan. Jake, on the other hand, was hooked up to a machine as well but his mutagenic formula that Baxter had created for him was red instead of green, like the one Shredder had.

Oh-oh-oh

Shredder felt his eyes widened when he heard what sounded like singing. "What is...?"

"Master Shredder?" Razar questioned.

"Silence!" Both Shredder and Jake snapped, silencing their followers.

Oh-oh-oh

"Master Shredder, Master Jake, what is it?" FishFace asked.

"I must go there," Shredder said. "That place of power..."

"Uh, what place?" Bebop asked.

Jake smirked, knowing where the voice was coming. After all, he knew all about the prophecy that rested upon Briana.

"The Temple of Destroyers."

"With all due respect, as your caretakers, I have to advise any action at this time," Isabella said. "Master Shredder, your body needs time to grow and the mutagenic formula can only work at a slow pace without damaging your mind."

"I must agree with Isabella on this," the mutant fly responded. "Master Jake, your body needs time to heal while the formula works its way through your body."

"Especially since we got lucky with that tiny bit of Princess Briana's blood that he managed to harvested for safekeeping the first time we took her blood," Soren added. "Your formula still hasn't finished repairing your organs and cells."

"TigerClaw, Bradford, Xever," Shredder spoke up, getting the attention of three of his soldiers. "Go to the Crystal Empire. Scout it, find the turtles, Henry Hart, and Princess Briana, but do not kill any of them or attempt to capture Princess Briana or Henry Hart just yet. I must be the one to rip their hearts out."

"As you command, Master Shredder." The three soldiers bowed before turning around and walking out of the room. Eventually, the three of them left the new hideout and arrived in front of the fog.

"Huh, that is a lot of fog," FishFace commented. "You weren't kidding."

"Of course not." TigerClaw growled.

"Well, what are you waiting for?" Razar said hastily. "Go ahead and use what Master Jake gave you."

TigerClaw reached into his pocket and pulled out the small vial that Jake had given him before holding it up to the fog. The second it made contact, the fog opened up and revealed the path for them.

TigerClaw smirked. "I believe it is time to catch up with some old friends."

And with that, the three evil mutants walked into the open path again before the mist closed right behind them.

"And at last, the very moment where everything was about to change has happened because from this moment forward, our lives were just about to get even crazier."
