A/N: Eclipse belongs to GeekyCookie1. Mara [mentioned] and Zane [mentioned] belongs to MariChat3.
As we've officially entered the space arc of the first half of season four, the new cover for this book was made by GeekyCookie1. Thanks sis!
Enjoy!
"Back to Dimension X, here we go!"
"OKAY, OKAY, FOCUS Mikey," Donatello said. He and the others (minus Mara, Zane, April, Casey, Kaz, and Natalie) were all in the scout craft, wearing their spacesuits. "This is basic stuff."
"Donnie, are you seriously trying to explain black holes to Mikey again?" Raphael asked, sounding amused. "It's a waste of time!"
Michelangelo rolled his eyes. "Whatever. I can do science stuff. Pshhh. I'm great at dancing the robot."
"The robot dance isn't science, Mikey." Eclipse told him.
"It is when I do it." Michelangelo started doing the robot. "Beep-bop. Beep-bop boop-bop."
"Speaking as a robot, that's actually pretty good!" Fugitoid said.
"Black holes suck in everything," Donatello said. "Not even light can escape a black hole's gravitational singularity."
"Why?" Michelangelo asked.
"Because they're infinitely dense." Briana added for her brother.
"So, they're just like you, Mikey," Raphael said with a smirk.
Everyone laughed, the orange masked mutant turtle included. "Haha! Good one!... I don't get it."
"Alright, enough goofing around, ninjas," Leonardo said. "We gotta stay focused. We need to find the next piece of the black hole device before the Triceratons do."
"So, Fugitoid, why do you think the Utrom can help us?" Henry asked.
"Because the Utrom are the ones who separated the black hole generator pieces and scattered them across the universe to keep them safe." Fugitoid responded.
"Plus, visiting the Utrom means going back to Dimension X! Whoo-hoo!" Michelangelo said excitedly as he and Briana shared a high-five, the two of them being the only ones excited about going back.
"And why are they excited about going to Dimension X?" Derek questioned.
"You'll find out when we get there." Eclipse said.
"I still feel bad about having to leave April, Casey, Kaz, Mara, Zane, and Natalie back on the ship to guard the other fragment," Donatello said. "They seemed pretty mad."
"Nah," Michelangelo said. "I bet they're over it by now."
"Projecting the portal," Fugitoid announced. A swirling, glowing orange-and-white portal opened in front of them. He moved the craft into the portal and they entered Dimension X as the robot landed the craft on a nearby platform.
"Yes!" Michelangelo cheered as they stepped out of the scout craft. "Back in Dimension X! Why, hello, Scatterpillar." He started greeting the nearby creatures. "How's it going, little Squeebles?" He picked up a worm and cuddled it. "Mmm..."
Briana picked up her own worm into her hands. "Man, I missed you."
"Why are they excited to be back here?" Scott questioned. "This place looks awful."
"They have their reasons," Henry said. "Mikey's pretty much a genius here and Bri's actually more confident here."
Roaring caught their attention and they turned to see a Kraathatrogen flying toward them.
"Hey there, giant kraang worm," Michelangelo greeted. The others screamed while he and Briana seemed unbothered. A large creature jumped up and grabbed the Kraathatrogen in its mouth before flying out.
"And that is the circle of life." Briana said.
"I hate Dimension X more than I hate space!" Raphael growled.
"The sooner we find the Utrom, the faster we leave," Henry said. "Professor?"
"Oh! Me?" Fugitoid asked, brought out of his thoughts. "Yes. Right." He shook his head. "Uh, um... according to my scanner, the Utrom are... uh... this way." He started walking, not paying attention to where he was going and walked into one of the crystal plants. "Dimension X is muh-messing with my scaaan-sc-scanners."
Derek groaned in annoyance. "Well, isn't that perfect? Now what?"
"We got the answer right here, dawg!" Michelangelo threw down a smoke bomb to change into his 'Savage Mikey' outfit, forgoing his spacesuit.
However, he wasn't the only who had an outfit change as Briana was wearing her natural clothing of her teal blue shirt, black leather jacket, black boots, and black leggings, forgoing her own spacesuit. The only difference is that Briana had an x-belt around her waist with two Squeebeles along with a third belt over her left shoulder that had crystal shards attached to it.
Raphael facepalmed. "Calm down, Raph. You knew it was coming. Calm down."
Michelangelo threw a worm to Briana, who caught it. "Don't worry," he said. "Savage Mikey and Briana's got this, dudes, dudette!" They used the worms to grapple toward another platform. "Follow us!"
"Let's go find the Utrom!" Briana added, a wide grin on her face.
They all shared a glance, Derek and Scott looking confused, and ran after the two, leaping from platform to platform.
"Dimension X tip number 23โ never put a mushropod between your toes," Michelangelo said as they landed on another platform. "It could try to eat them." He jumped off. "Learned that one the hard way."
"I did tell him not to do it," Briana added. "But he didn't listen." Before she and Michelangelo suddenly stopped, only for the others to fall on top of them while Fugitoid landed safety behind them.
"Mikey, Bri, why'd you guys stop?" Leonardo asked as they all got back up.
"Because... we're here," Michelangelo responded.
"What?" Eclipse questioned. "I can't see anything."
"Or smell anything." Henry added.
"I mean, that's kind of the point." Briana said with a giggle. She picked up a rock and threw it, only for it to vanish in the air, sending out a ripple to temporarily reveal the next platform and the structure on it.
Derek felt his jaw dropped. "Butโ howโ" he rubbed his forehead with his hands. "My head hurts now."
"A cloaking dome!" Fugitoid said. "Brilliant!"
Michelangelo gave them a smug smile before backflipping into the dome, disappearing. Briana smiled brightly at them as she waved before backflipping into the dome as well, vanishing from their sight. The others all traded looks before jumping through.
"Whoa!" Donatello said, looking up at the structure. "Now, that's a headquarters!"
Suddenly, a bunch of kranng droids appeared out of nowhere, guns aimed at them. Another one appeared, dressed in a human suit and with a rocket launcher on his shoulder.
"Who are you?" The droid asked. "How did you find our secret base? And why did you throw a rock at my head?"
"Bishop!" Fugitoid chirped, walking over. "Good to see you, old friend!"
The droid seemed confused at first but after performing a secret handshake with the robot did recognition formed on his face. "Professor Honeycutt! Good to see you. Despite your strange, robotic head and your... very large head."
"Thank you, I think," Fugitoid said. "But I need the attention of the full Utrom council. Please."
"Anything for you, Zayton. This way." Bishop led them inside the base and gave them metal bands that would allow them to breathe, allowing them to ditch their spacesuits and helmets.
"Dude, those neck breathing thingies you guys got are cool!" Michelangelo said.
"Shh, Mikey!" Donatello hushed.
Bishop led them into a large, circular room holding a large table, three other Kraang droids were waiting for them: an Irmabot, one with a mustache and no suit, and a Mrs. Campbell. "Professor and heroes, allow me to present the sacred high council of the Utromโ Pawn, Rook, and Queen."
The Utrom droids were different from the Kraang droids since they use lighter colorsโ pale blues and whites instead of blacks and purples.
"Whoa! They look just like Irma and Mrs. Campbell." Michelangelo said.
"The Council acknowledges the Professor and the heroes," Mrs. Campbellโ Queenโ responded.
Chairs appeared behind them and they all sat down at the table.
"Utrom, the heroes are the protectors of Earth," Fugitoid explained. "They have fought the kraang and are worthy of your help."
"The Utrom are already aware of the heroes and all of the good they have done for the planet Earth." Queen responded.
"So, why didn't ya help us before?" Raphael asked.
"Because Earthlings cannot always be trusted!" Irmabotโ Rookโ responded. "You are an irrational species. Still, you should know the truth... about the Utroms."
"Who the hell is she calling irrational?" Derek mumbled lowly to himself.
A panel in the table opened, projecting a hologram to give a visual aid for the story they were about to tell.
"For millions of nextons, the Utrom all had individual personalities," Queen began. "Then one nexton, an Utrom scientist named "Kraang" discovered the mutagen of the Kraathatrogon worm. Kraang Prime was born, becoming deranged in the process. He used his horrible psychic powers to overcome millions of Utrom, turning them into slave-copies of himself! And so, the Kraang were born."
"There were many Utrom who resisted Prime's control, but now less than 100 exist," Bishop stated, the panel disappearing with the hologram.
Fugitoid nodded. "What happened to your race is a tragedy... but perhaps you can help us avoid another one."
"We were able to get one of the pieces of the heart of darkness, but we need the others," Leonardo explained. "It's the only way to save Earth!"
"You found one of the pieces?" Queen questioned.
"No, n-n-n-no-no!" The French Utrom droidโPawnโ shouted, his suit glitching out. "Bad... bad, bad!" He fell to the floor.
"No one should have such power!" Rook said quickly. "We took pains to hide the pieces in the safest parts of the galaxy!"
Henry scoffed. "Safest? The first piece corrupted the entire race of Aeons!"
"What?"
"Impossible!"
"No way!"
"Sacre b-b-b-bleu!"
Fugitoid stood up. "Utrom, I have a plan to destroy the generator once and for all."
"Impossible!" Pawn said, pulling himself up. "Zee heart of darkness cannot be destroyed!"
Scott snorted. "I thought we were irrational species? You think we're not gonna do it?"
"Utrom, we must discuss this." Bishop stated.
The council gathered at the other end of the room, speaking quietly with one another while everyone patiently waited for their answer. A few seconds later, the Council turned.
"The High Council has reached a decision." Queen stated.
Leonardo smiled. "Great!"
"We are officially opening discussion on the topic of helping you," Rook stated. "The debate shall last for the next 100 nextons."
"What!?" Eclipse snapped. "We need your help now, not 100 'whatever-ons' from now!"
"Yeah, we literally saw the Triceratons destroy Earth!" Raphael argued.
Derek blinked. "You do realize that the Triceratons are gonna find the pieces by then, right?"
"You gotta help us save them!" Briana added.
Michelangelo jumped on the table. "Oolong, that black hole thingy is the only chance we have! You gotta help us!" He gave them puppy dog eyes. "Pleeeeeasse?"
Queen lowered her head, closing her eyes. "Perhaps we canโ" she gasped as kraang portals suddenly opened around the room.
"Oh, no," Donatello said as kraang droids came through, guns aimed at them.
Subprime laughed manically, entering through the portal. "Who's the doofus?" Derek questioned with a raised eyebrow.
"Subprime." Henry told him.
"So, the long-hidden Utrom base, revealed to us by none other than those miserable mutants," Subprime said. "How awesome has Kraang Subprime's day become?"
The kraang started shooting and they all reacted quickly, pulling out their weapons and fighting back. Michelangelo was yelling as he took out three kraang droids.
"Enough with the savage yells!" Raphael yelled at him.
"Don't diss my sweet yell till you try it!" Michelangelo shouted back.
Subprime walked past him and toward Queen, aiming his cannon at her. Queen took a frightened step back, but Bishop jumped in, grabbed the weapon, and aimed at some kraang droids just as it fired. He jumped out of the line of attack.
"How long I have waited for this, Subprime."
"You stole my body. She was my creation!" Rook said. She jumped to attack, only for Subprime to grab her by the face.
"Aw, my heart bleeds for ya." Subprime threw Rook into Bishop, knocking them both down. "Hah!" He noticed Queen taking down a Biotroid and shot her, electrocuting her and breaking her droid. "Your majesty," he said as she crawled out of her body. Subprime picked her up.
"Let me go, Subprime!" Queen snapped.
"Queen!" Bishop shouted.
"So long, morons! I'll be taking a parting gift." Subprime disappeared into a portal with Queen, his kraang droids following.
"Let's go, guys!" Both Michelangelo and Briana ran into the portal after Queen as Raphael and Derek followed after them, but the portal closed before the others could get in.
"No!"
๐๐๐
THE ORANGE MASKED mutant turtle and Briana came out of the portal first as Raphael ran into them, catching the attention of a droid. Derek grabbed them and yanked them behind a wall as the droid looked back. Seeing nothing, the droid walked away and the portal closed.
"Okay, I know I've say this before, but I'm honestly still questioning it," Derek said as he stared at them. "How have you idiots survive this long?"
Raphael rolled his eyes at him while Michelangelo answered. "We're ninjas, bro."
"Guys, come on," Briana said before Derek could say something else. "We gotta find Queen."
The four of them went down the hallway that the droid had, but all of the other droids were all gone.
"Argh! How did we lose her already?" Raphael snapped.
"I would know such fury anywhere," a familiar voice said from a cell. They turned to see Mona Lisa appeared in the window. "Raphael!"
Raphael gasped. "Mona... Lisa?"
Briana couldn't help but giggle at her brother before she made kissy-faces at him, clearly teasing him.
Michelangelo blinked. "Whoa... is that your girlfrieโ" he screamed, startled, as Raphael ran past him to stab the door mechanism.
The doors then opened. "What are you doing here?" Raphael asked. "I didn't think I'd ever see you again."
Mona picked him up, pressing his nose against his.
"Aww." Briana gushed, a big smile on her face.
"Am I the only one that's weirded out by a turtle and a newt?" Derek questioned.
Michelangelo rolled his eyes, walking over. "Come on, people. No time for kissy-face." He pulled them apart. "We're on a mission to rescue the Utrom Queen, remember?"
"Utrom Queen?" Sal Commander questioned. "The Utrom and the Kraang are one and the same!"
Mona nodded in agreement. "We thought they could be trusted, but we found out the hard way."
"That's not true, guys," Briana said. "The Utrom can be trusted. It's Subprime and the Kraang that can't be trusted."
Suddenly, Derek's ears twitched and his eyes widened as he gasped. He rushed forward, shoving them all into the cell and closing the door, saving them from being spotted by the passing Kraang droids. He looked out the window once they'd passed.
"Why would you even ask the Kraang for help in the first place?" Derek asked with a scoff. "I haven't dealt with him for that long but from what I've seen, they're greedy, annoying aliens with really, really English."
Michelangelo nodded. "We only work with the good guys."
"Good kraang?" Sal Commander growled. "You expect us to believe in such a thing? Rokka rokka!"
"To be fair, you two did think that we were bad guys at first too, remember?" Briana reminded. "The Utrom aren't like the Kraang."
"We tried to trust the Kraang, and it landed us in prison," Mona said. "How can we trust the Utrom?"
"I'll say it again," Derek stated with an eye roll. "Why would you ask the freaking Kraang for help? The Kraang, for crying out loud! Asking them for help was a stupid idea in the first placeโ and I'm surprised that you two even came up with!"
"I was skeptical at first, too, Mona," Raphael said. "But these Utrom... they helped us."
The Salamandrians considered the words, sharing a glance.
"So, are you guys gonna help save the Queen or what?" Michelangelo asked.
"As I've said, we will not aid the Kraang." Sal Commander responded, keeping a lookout for the Kraang droids.
"The Utrom are good Kraang." Briana repeated.
"And last time I checked, we aren't the idiots who thought of asking Subprime for help." Derek added, earning a glare from Sal Commander but the teenager gave a warning animalistic snarl in return.
Raphael looked at Mona. "Mona, I wouldn't do anything that would hurt you. You know that."
Mona thought about it for a second before turning to Sal Commander. "I doubted them before, Commander, even when you insisted otherwise." She rested a hand on Raphael's shoulder. "But now, I trust Raphael with my life. I believe him."
Sal Commander thought about it, looking at the others and then sighed.
"Yeah, boy!" Michelangelo cheered. He looked back at Raphael and Mona and groaned as he noticed them getting a bit lovey-dovey. "Ugh! What's with you two?"
Derek groaned as well. "Oh, my, god! I rather deal with Henry and Clips giving each other those looks! And they're dating!"
Briana giggled. "Aw, they're so cute."
"Are they though?" Derek mumbled.
But neither Raphael nor Mona seemed to be listening to them.
"Oh, god, get me out of here before I barf." Derek let his eyes flashed yellow as he grabbed the bottom of the door and forcibly opened it with ease.
Once they were out, Michelangelo grabbed his brother and pulled him away from Mona as the group took off through the halls. Derek taking the lead as he had picked up Subprime's scent.
"โtime for a little torture!" Subprime yelled.
Michelangelo was first in the room, screaming his savage yell as he kicked Subprime away while Briana, Raphael, Mona, and Derek cut down the kraang droids.
Sal Commander went for Queen. "Grah. I can't believe I'm saving a kraang!" He complained as he picked her up, letting her climb on his shoulder.
"It's the six of us against one of you, Subprime!" Raphael said.
"Ohhh, ohhh, I'm so scared!" Subprime mocked. "Look at me, I'm quivering!" He pressed a button on his robotic tentacle and an area on the floor opened. Metallic claws grabbed the sides and a dragon-droid hauled itself up through the hole, towering over them and roaring. "Not really. Cause I got me a Dracotroid!"
Derek felt his right eye twitched. "I know it's my first time in this dimension, but I hate it here! I hate this stupid dimension and I hate the kraang with a burning passion! I hate it here so, so much!"
The Dracotroid fired lightning at them and they scattered to evade the blasts as Sal Commander jumped on top of it. They circled the dragon while they attacked, trying to find its weak spot.
Derek tackled Mona out of the way of a lightning blast. Briana shrieked, disorienting one of the heads of the Dracotroid while the other head grabbed Raphael by the leg and knocked him into Briana, knocking them both into the wall. It threw Michelangelo into the wall after them and Derek and Mona jumped down beside them.
"I've always wanted to watch a turtle get eaten by a Dracotroid." Subprime said.
An explosion went off, sending him and the Dracotroid flying back into the wall. The others traded confused looks before running to the hole that had been blasted in the wall. Looking out, they saw the rest of their team with a bunch of Utrom droids.
"Need a little help?" Scott asked, a small smirk on his face.
"About time you guys showed up, little brother." Derek said.
"Utrom?" Sal Commander asked.
"I knew my Utrom would find us." Queen said.
Briana grinned. "You bet!"
"Dracotroidโ do what you do best!" Subprime ordered, more electricity firing at them.
They quickly jumped out of the hole and the shots exploded the floor right behind them. Raphael shot a grappling hook, grabbing Mona and using it to swing them to safety. Both Michelangelo and Briana used a worm to swing themselves aroundโ Michelangelo used another worm to grab hold of Sal Commander and throwing him into one of the Utrom's rockets while Briana used another worm to grab hold of Sal Commander as well and throwing him into another one of the rockets as well.
Michelangelo slammed two droids together using his worms as whips. "Nice work, Sal!" He jumped back into the fight. "Booyakasha!"
"Booyakasha indeed, Michelangelo," Sal Commander responded, running back into the fight.
"This has got to be the most pathetic sight ever." Subprime said, watching from the hole in the wall.
Bishop shot him and jumped on top of the Kraang base, running down as he began attacking Subprime. "It pains me how far you've fallen, Knight."
"That name means nothing to me!" Subprime snapped back. "I am now Kraang Subprime!" He laughed as he knocked Bishop off the base, only for him to pop back up and shoot Irma's head off its body.
The Dracotroid was flying through the air above them. Raphael hanging on to one of the heads while Mona swung around the other one to land on top of it.
"You've learned some new moves since I last saw you," Raphael commented. "Whoa!" The Dracotroid flipped so they were upside down.
"I could teach them to you... one-on-one." Mona suggested.
"I know you two aren't flirting in the middle of a battle!" Derek snapped at them.
The Dracotroid threw its head back and sent Raphael flying, but Mona grabbed his wrist and pulled him back on alongside her. Flying kraang droids had joined in now, shooting at them.
Several explosions went off below where everyone was fighting the other Kraang droids and Bishop was fighting Subprime. A few of the flying Kraang droids landed on the Dracotroid, one of them crashing into Mona and sent her flying but she grabbed the edge to hold on. Raphael, on the other hand, threw one of the droids off the edge.
"I can't hold on much longer!" Mona called.
Raphael slammed one of the droids into the wing and both of them exploded, sending him off the Dracotroid and onto the Kraang base. The Dracotroid slammed into another part of the Kraang base and Mona was flung off.
Raphael jumped to catch her and just missed her. He used one of the worms that Michelangelo and Briana had given him to grab onto her and both of them fell onto the platform.
Henry and Eclipse were guiding Bishop away but then, everyone turned to see Subprime rose up behind them on a stealth ship, his Irma-bot twitching and sparking.
"My god, does he ever give up?" Scott questioned.
"I may be a traitor, but at least, I'm not a loser with a totally stupid face," Subprime shouted as flying kraang droids landed on the ship but the Dracotroid was heading right for the ship, roaring to get his attention. "Huh? What? Aww, give me a Kraanging break!"
The Dracotroid slammed into the stealth ship, knocking it right into the Kraang base as everyone ducked while the ship blew up.
"Kraang! Initiate that which is known as RETREAT!" A Kraang droid shouted. The droids began fleeing into stealth ships; some escaping while others were captured. The Utrom droids cheered as the fight was won.
"I have to admit, I was wrong about your species," Sal Commander told Queen. "There are, indeed, good Kraang in the ten dimensions."
"You mean Utrom, bro." Michelangelo responded.
"Whatever."
"And I have seen unparalleled bravery today." Queen responded.
"Does this mean..." Fugitoid trailed off.
Queen nodded. "Indeed it does. Bishop?"
Bishop removed his sunglasses, projecting a hologram from his eyes. "You will find the second piece of the black hole generator in the Cosmic Ocean of Varuna. The final fragment is on the lost world of Magdomar at the very edge of the known cosmos."
Leonardo nodded. "Thank you, Utrom. We're gonna make sure this weapon is finally destroyed once and for all."
Raphael walked over to Mona, who was repairing her ship. "So, um, if we're ever on the same planet again, you... wanna go out sometime?"
"'Go out' where?" Mona asked, sounding confused. "To space?"
"Uhhh..."
Mona smiled. "I'll go with you anywhere, Raphael. Rokka rokka!"
Derek blinked. "Is no one weirded out by them?"
"No, we are too." Henry, Leonardo, Donatello, Scott, and Eclipse said in unison.
"Come on, they're cute." Briana disagreed with them.
"What are you waiting for?" Michelangelo called out towards them. "Now's the time for kissy-nose!"
Raphael growled at him, only for Mona to grab him with her tail, pulling him toward her and dipping him, resting her nose against his.
"And voila! We finally know where the other two locations of the last two black hole pieces are and on our way to getting them before the Triceratons!"
