"Anger. It's true that anger can be a powerful emotion sometimes, but if you can't control it or get a handle on it, it can also be pretty dangerous."
"NAT, COME ON! You're gonna miss the movie! It's gonna start soon!" Natalie came rushing into the living room with a smile on her face as she jumped onto the couch, squeezing in between her adoptive older sister and her mother.
"Sorry, Becca," Natalie apologized to her sister, Rebecca Black. "But, hey, I made it in time."
"You better have," Rebecca said seriously yet playfully at the same time, pitching her little sister's cheeks. "Cause I definitely didn't spend our entire lives, convincing you to finally watch the Batman movies for you to miss the first one."
"You only like those movies because of Christian Bale though." Natalie teased, swatting her sister's hand away from her face.
Rebecca chucked a few pieces of popcorn at her sister, who laughed in response and tried to shield herself by bringing her hands to cover her face. "Oh, shut up, you little dork!"
"Rebecca, don't throw the popcorn, sweetie," Veronica Black told her daughters with a soft smile on her face. "I don't want cockroaches in here."
"Alright, is everyone ready for movie night?" Byron Black asked, holding the remote in his hands with a smile.
"Yeah!" Rebecca said in agreement, clearly overjoyed about seeing the movie.
Natalie, on the other hand, found herself staring up at her adoptive parents with a soft smile. She took in their appearances, noting how it was quite obvious that she was adopted, given their dark-skin color and how Rebecca could easily be seen as their daughter with her dark-skin color while she was the only one that didn't have the same color as them. But the more she stared at them, Natalie couldn't help but remember what actually happened the last time she was with them, swallowing her saliva harshly as she blinked back her tears.
"Mom, dad..." Natalie reached a hand over to grab her mother's hand, only for her hand to phase through, reminding her that it was just a hologram.
"Natalie?"
Natalie blinked as the simulation deactivated and she turned around to find Henry in the doorway. "Hey, uh, sorry but Fugitoid wants us all on the bridge," he said.
"Oh! Right, uh, coming." Natalie said as she started walking over to the door.
As she moved closer, Henry stared at her, noticing the look on her face and Natalie could've swore that she spotted a pang of concern in her half-brother's eyes.
"Are you okay?" Henry finally asked.
Natalie slowly nodded. "Yeah, I'm fine, no worries."
"You sure?" Henry questioned, raising an eyebrow at her as he clearly didn't believe her. "Something's bothering you."
"Yeah, I'm okay," Natalie lied, refusing to let her guard down. "I just want to take down the Triceratons and save Earth."
Henry stared at her, pursing his lips together. A part of him wanted to convince her to tell himโ that she could trust him but considering how they still didn't know each other despite being related, he knew better than to push it.
And so, the two of them headed to the bridge to meet up with the others.
๐๐๐
"THEY CAN'T SEE us on radar, right, Fugitoid?" Raphael questioned. "You sure this is gonna work?"
"The Triceratons are convinced the first piece of the black hole generator is on that planet," the robot responded. "We just need to reach it first."
"Then, what are we waiting for? We can't let them get to it first." Mara said.
April raised her hand to her head for a moment. "I'm just gonna say it now. Something's not right about this mission."
Although Briana didn't said anything, she couldn't help but find herself agreeing with April on those words. She didn't know why but she felt uneasy about going to this planetโ there was just something about it that bothered her and suddenly, she could've swore that it was making it a lot harder to hide the emotions she kept buried deep beneath her walls.
"You feel it, don't you? All that rage coming from that single planet?" Unagami taunted from inside her head. "I wonder what might happened with all those buried negative emotions from within you."
Briana closed her eyes for a second before reopening them, doing the best she could to ignore the demon inside of her.
Everyone suited up into their spacesuits and dropped down into the scout craft, flying toward the planet.
"Activating cloak." Donatello called, tapping on the control module in front of him.
"Better work this time." Raphael muttered.
"Finally, a little excitement!" Casey exclaimed. "It's been, like, a whole week since something awesome happened."
Derek raised an eyebrow at him. "What has been awesome about anything that's happened to us? None of it has! We've been too busy, running from things trying to kill us!"
April blinked, putting a hand to her helmet. "That world. Iโ it's radiating a strange power. Like, pureโ"
"Evil," Briana finished for her. "I don't like it."
"Me either," April added. "We're flying into danger, Professor."
"Evil, you say? Nonsense," Fugitoid dismissed quickly. "This is Xaava-Dal. The oldest, most beautiful paradise planet in the universe. It is gorgeous down there."
But for the first time, Briana didn't quite believe him as the uneasiness grew and grew inside, and she could've swore that she could hear Unagami laughing inside of her head. She shook her head, paying no mind to the demon inside of her.
The craft landed on the planet, the door opening and letting them walk down to the surface. The planet was completely overgrown with strange plants and there wasn't a single thing that would be considered beautiful.
"If this is what you call beautiful paradise, I'd have to see what you call disgusting." Scott mumbled.
"Ah, Fugidude!" Casey yelled, glaring at him.
Fugitoid chuckled nervously. "Well, I am, you know, occasionally wrong."
"Let's just get the piece before the Triceratons do and leave this creepy planet." Zane said.
They all started walking while looking around the place as they did. "Okay, uh, I'm starting to think that they're right," Kaz said. "This place is likeโ"
"Pure evil, maybe?" April finished for him. "Like I sort of warned earlier? Yeah, no one listens to the psychic."
"I did." Briana reminded.
Donatello looked at his staff's scanner. "I don't understand these readings at all."
"Whoa." Michelangelo stopped in his tracks upon seeing a small, black creature. "Aww! Little space monkey-cat-rat thing!" He knelt, reaching out a hand to the creature. "Aren't you, uh, cute?" The creature bit his finger and he screamed, shaking his hand until it let go. It landed on its feet, stood up straight and growled at him before retreating.
"Just because something's cute doesn't mean it's friendly, Mikey." Eclipse said.
"Yeah, now you probably have space rabies." Raphael added.
"Space rabies!?" Michelangelo panicked, looking terrified.
"Is that even a thing?" Natalie asked.
"No." Scott answers.
Derek smirked. "I can make it a thing if you want." His eyes flashed yellow for a quick second at those words.
Henry glared at him, knowing what he meant with those words. "I'll rip your throat out before you can even try."
"Oh, come on, relax, would ya?" Derek said as he rolled his eyes. "It's all fun and games."
Henry only glared at him, clenching his fists as he fought back the urge to punch him. However, he found it surprisingly a lot more harder to fight back the urge to do so.
"This world, it was once a vast, beautiful garden," Fugitoid stated, stopping. "It held ancient repositories of all the most sacred knowledge in the cosmos. Not a single piece of technology was ever built here. The Aeons must've fled. Without their presence, well, look at this world."
"What are Aeons?" Leonardo asked.
"Powerful, ancient aliens," Fugitoid responded. "The first beings to evolve in the universe. Now, they've all gone away."
They started walking again, heading into some sort of ominous forest and Briana bit down on her bottom lip, doing the best she could to keep her emotions at bay. But this time, it was a lot harder than usual and she knew that it had to do with the planet that they were on.
"This energy is really screwing up my readings." Donatello muttered, sounding pretty annoyed.
Casey shoved past him. "So fix it, genius! I thought you were supposed to be the smart one!"
"That's right, I am!" Donatello snapped. "Which clearly makes you the stupid one!"
Natalie rolled her eyes. "At least, he's doing something useful. What is it that you do again, Jones?"
Zane raised an eyebrow at her. "You know, the same can be say for you."
Michelangelo laughed. "Ha! That definitely makes Raph the angry one."
"I'm clearly the handsome one," Raphael retorted. "Here, check it out. I got something for you." He held out his fist to his youngest brother, who hit it with his own fist, only for Raphael to smack his helmet. "Ha! You're the gullible one."
Michelangelo shoved him back. "I'm tired of you picking on me! Ever since we were little, you've been giving me shell wedgies, wet willies, and reptile rug burns, andโ"
"Huh, sounds like somebody I know." Scott said, glaring over at his brother.
Derek glared right back at him. "What the hell is that supposed to be mean?"
"You ripped almost every single underwear I had because of the wedgies you gave me!" Scott yelled at him. "You always have to act so irritating! It's annoying!"
"You sure you're not talking about yourself?" Derek retorted.
Scott growled and tackled him to the ground, throwing punches as the two brothers wrestled the other. Henry only released an annoyed groan before storming up to the two, yanking the two off of each other as he kept them back.
"God, I swear, you two are worse than Leo and Raph were when we were kids," Henry said. "Both of you, quit it already! We're on a serious mission so quit acting like little kids!"
Neither one of the two said anything but glared at each other. Then, everyone looked up at some sort of cawing, seeing dark shadows flying through the sky.
"Everyone, take cover!" Leonardo shouted.
They all scattered, taking cover in the flora. Nobody moved or made a single sound, even when one of the creatures landed and moved closer to Michelangelo's hiding spot. Luckily, the creature flew off and once the coast was clear, they all regrouped and Michelangelo fell to the ground in front of them before getting back up onto his feet quickly.
"Phew! Very strange," Fugitoid commented. "These creatures are definitely not native to this planet."
"All the more reason to keep it going." Mara said with an eye roll.
Everyone started walking again and once again, Briana walked behind the group as she did the best she could to put some focus on keeping her emotionsโ the negative ones that were supposed to be kept behind her walls exactly where they belongedโ behind the wall.
All of her negative emotionsโ her anger, sadness, rage, pain, or abandonment; she kept it under locked and key beneath those walls she set up in her mind when she was a little kidโ and she knew why she kept it like that. For her entire life, Briana had always been seen as the bubbly one, the one that never angry, or the one that always had the biggest smile on her face that made everyone else smile when they saw hers. She couldn't ruin the way that everyone saw her just because of the negative emotions she kept locked up.
She refused to let them see it and she sure as hell wasn't going to let this planet make it come out.
Henry stopped when his nose pricked. "We've been here before, we're going in circles."
Donatello started shaking his staff in anger and Casey rolled his eyes. "We've been walking for miles, Donnie. That scanner's as useless as the gap in your teeth."
"Oh, let's not go back there, Casey," Donatello replied. "You know my gap is way more awesome than your gap."
"My gap is way bigger than yours. You got a baby gap."
"Oh, my god! Are you two seriously arguing over the gaps in your teeth!?" Mara retorted. "You're both idiots!"
"Oh, look who's talking, Sparks!" Donatello snapped. "You're the biggest idiot here!"
Mara glared at him and shoved him back. "Trust me, gappy, you don't want to start with me!"
Michelangelo shoved them apart. "Will you guys cut it out? You're more annoying than Raph!"
"That's it!" Raphael tackled him to the ground as the two started fighting. Mara shoved Donatello back, who shoved the girl in return before they started fighting.
"You're all a bunch of idiots! Especially Jones here." Derek said.
"What's that supposed to mean, wolf-boy!?" Casey snapped.
"Which one of us is the idiot that said this whole adventure has been cool? We literally saw the Earth get blown up! How is any of this cool to you!?" Derek snapped.
"Which one of us is the one that's helping his dad try to kill his own cousin!?" Casey retorted. "Last time I checked, it was you!"
"Hey!" Scott yelled, glaring at him. "You can leave our dad out of this!"
"He's not wrong," Eclipse said with a scoff. "How the hell do we know we can even trust you two if you're with David?"
"Do you see him here?" Scott snapped as he glared at her. "Cause I certainly don't!"
Henry growled lowly, his eyes flashing yellow as the wolf inside of him thrashed against the chains, not liking the attitude he was giving her. "Watch it." He warned.
"Oh, please, like I'm gonna be afraid by someone who doesn't even know what to do with his wolf or what his wolf actually is. You don't even want to be a shapeshifter in the first place!" Scott yelled.
"Because being a shapeshifter doesn't do anything but ruin your life!" Natalie snapped, glaring at him. "My life was perfect until the full moon and the stupid wolf inside of me came out and because of that, I attacked my family! They got sent to the hospital because of me and because of that, my parents called me a freak, a monster, an abomination!"
"Oh, boohoo! Get over it! You were adopted!" Scott yelled. "They weren't even your family in the first place!"
Although the words weren't directed at her, Briana couldn't help but feel her body tensed at the words as she squeezed her eyes shut tightly, trying to do everything she can to ignore the voices in her head growing and growing. Her own doubts and insecurities coming back to haunt her and she couldn't help but imagine if one day, she'd be in Natalie's position.
Would the day come where own her brothers and sister didn't want her around?
Where they didn't need her anymore?
Where they only saw her as the monster that she really was?
Natalie growled at him and tackled Scott to the ground, the two of them fighting and rolling over the ground as the two cousins lashed out at each other.
Leonardo tried to pull Raphael and Michelangelo away from each other. "Raph, back away from Mikey! Now!" He said, only to get elbowed in the gut before Michelangelo tackled both of them.
"What are you guys doing!?" April asked, trying to pull Mara and Donatello away from each other.
"Okay, this is stupid! Quit it!" Kaz shouted, pushing Casey and Derek away from each other.
As the fighting grew and grew, Briana kept her eyes shut as she gripped her head, hissing lowly in pain as the voices in her head kept growing louder and louder.
Unagami laughed from inside her head. "You can't keep it in, can you? It's only a matter of time before you explodeโ either now or one day, make your decision."
"Shut up," Briana whispered to herself. "Shut up." Her grip tightened on her head and for a split second, she swore that she felt like ripping her head out at the pain the voices were causing her. "SHUT UP! JUST SHUT UP!"
With that sudden outburst, a wave of magic burst from her body and brought all the fights to a halt as everyone blinked, turning their heads to look at her. Briana, who was breathing heavily, felt her eyes widened when she realized what she did.
"I... I didn't meanโ"
"No, you are absolutely right, Briana!" Fugitoid said, walking up to them while speaking in a firm tone. "You must all stop or I will smack you!" He raised his mechanical hand. "See this? This is my smacking hand! I'll use it!"
"He's right, guys," Michelangelo said, taking a step away from his brother. "What the heck is wrong with us?"
"We have more important stuff to deal with." April pulled down some vines from the stone she had hit when she tried to pull Mara and Donatello away from each other, revealing strange symbols carved into the stone. "Like this."
"Looks like some sort of ancient civilization." Leonardo guessed.
Fugitoid rested a hand on the rock, studying the carvings. "A mountain with a sun at its peak carved in the shape of a gemstone. What could it mean?"
Henry's ears pricked at the sound of chittering and he looked to see more of the demon bats. "Aw, crap. We got trouble."
"When do we not have trouble?" Derek mumbled, earning a glare from him.
"Scatter!" Leonardo ordered.
They broke apart again and took cover in the flora. This time, more than one landed, sniffing the air in search of them.
"These guys are like the pinnacle of extreme meal." Casey said quietly.
The creatures soon flew off and Leonardo came out of hiding. "Phew! Too close. Thank goodness they'reโ" he cut off at more chittering. "They're not gone, are they?"
A creature jumped down behind him to attack, but Michelangelo blocked it, only to be knocked back into Raphael.
"Mikey! You're in my anger zone!" Raphael snapped, punching one of the creatures.
Casey was struggling with one he was fighting until Derek helped him from behind the creature, using his claws to attack the creature and knock it down. He smirked when it fell, about to rub it in the vigilante's face, only to be grabbed by his helmet and lifted into the air before getting thrown onto his brother, sending them both tumbling onto the ground.
"Ugh, stay out of my way, Derek!" Scott said, shoving his brother off of him and leaping to his feet.
"You're blocking my shot, Donnie!" Leonardo snapped at his brother, blocking another creature with his laser sword, only for it to knock him down before picking him up and taking to the air.
"Leo!"
Briana took a handful of shurikens from her belt and threw it at the creature. One of the shurikens hit the creature, making it release Leonardo.
"Booyakasha!" Michelangelo shouted, jumping to kick the creature attacking Raphael, though he ended kicking his brother instead.
"I could've handled it!" Raphael snapped. He shoved Michelangelo, who stumbled back and fell into a rock, shattering the glass of his helmet. He switched from anger to concern. "MIKEY!"
"Ugh! Myโ my head! Aah!" Michelangelo started screaming before realizing nothing was happening. "Whoa. Whoo, huh, dudes, dudettes." He gasped. "We can breathe air here. Sweet!"
As Donatello pulled off his helmet, Eclipse threw hers at him. "You're telling me that we could breathe the entire time!?"
"Back off my shell, man!" Donatello snapped, only for Eclipse to grab his helmet and smack him with it.
Leonardo dropped his on the ground. "Finally, yes!" He ducked when a creature tried to grab him, swinging his sword at it, though it dodged.
"Leo, duck!" Kaz yelled, throwing a fireball at the creature and knocking it away.
Leonardo dodged two more that came after him, flipping away. "Behind you!"
Kaz spun around to notice another creature inches away from him. He leapt out of the way to avoid its attack while Leonardo slammed his foot into its face, kicking it away.
Mara laughed as one of the creatures threw Donatello into a thorn bush, only for Raphael to slam into him and knock him down.
"Out of my way, Mara." Raphael ran to rejoin the fight.
Mara got back up. "No, out of Mara Sparks' way!" She ran after the hothead, knocking Zane down as he ran past.
Briana knocked down one of the creatures and turned around to find the others fighting each other. She frowned at them. "Guys, come on! Stop! This isn't you!"
"She's right! It's this planet that's affecting you!" April said.
Leonardo tried to get a hold of himself. "The rage... is so hard to control."
"Then, focus it on them!" April shouted, pointing at the sky to see more of the creatures flying toward them.
Fugitoid stopped them from moving. "There's too many! Run for your very lives!"
Everyone turned and ran as fast as they could with the creatures right behind them. They ducked and rolled under the tree branches and foliage as they continued to run. The group made it to a clearing but the creatures stopped in their tracks when the group came upon a large stone totem pole. The creatures snarled and roared before flying away.
"Why would they run away?" Natalie asked.
April turned around and saw the pole. "That statue... what is that?"
"It's a depiction of the Aeons. The beings that fled this world." Fugitoid answered.
"And when they left, the demons must have moved in." Scott said.
"That, or they drove the Aeons off a long time ago." April answered.
"Well, that's a total bummer." Casey commented.
"Bummer!?" Leonardo questioned. "Look what happened to their world! You have about as much sensitivity as a rabid dog!"
"Uh, offense taken!" Derek retorted.
Scott scoffed. "Oh, please, what sensitivity do you have?"
Raphael stalked over to the blue masked mutant turtle. "Look, just because you're leader doesn't mean you have to get into everyone's face!" He snapped.
"Don't start on that leader thing again, Raph," Leonardo growled. "You've always been jealous of me."
"Jealous? Jealous!?" Raphael retorted. Casey and Kaz quickly grabbed him and held him back. "Maybe that's because you were always Splinter's favorite!" He broke free and ran at Leonardo, drawing his sais.
"Raph, don't!" Henry said.
Leonardo ran at his brother but didn't attacked and instead wrapped his younger brother in a hug, making him freeze. "Raph, I love you, bro."
"Leo, IโI'm sorry," Raphael backed away, dropping his weapons. "I don't understand what's going on."
"This planet," Leonardo responded, resting a hand on Raphael's shoulder. "It keeps messing with our heads. We gotta remember that. We have to focus."
As the tensions within the group died down, apologizes were being given as they all looked around at each other.
"So, uh, sorry about shoving you there, Donnie." Mara apologized.
"It's fine, sorry about calling you and Casey idiots," Donatello apologized as well. "You guys might not be the brightest but, you're both still pretty fun to be around."
"Sorry about calling you annoying, Raph." Michelangelo said.
"Eh, it's fine," Raphael said. "I'm sorry too."
"Sorry about calling you an idiot, Casey." Derek said.
"It's fine," Casey said, waving it aside. "You were right about watching Earth getting blown up not cool."
"Sorry about what I say earlier." Zane apologized to Natalie.
"You're fine, don't worry," Natalie said. "I'm sorry too."
Scott glanced over at her. "Sorry about what I say about your family. I didn't mean it."
"It's okay," Natalie said. "Sorry that I yelled at you."
Scott waved it aside. "You're fine, don't worry." He turned towards his brother. "Sorry that I called you irritating."
Derek shrugged it off. "It's fine, I guess I can be sometimes. Sorry about picking on you all the time or ripping your underwears when we were kids."
"Eh, it's fine," Scott said. "I guess, it's pretty normal for you to pick on me since you're older."
"Uh, guys, did you notice something?" Briana asked, staring up at the statue as a blue beam shot out. "The statue, it's pointing."
Everyone followed in the direction of the light and at the end, they came across a gigantic temple. "That is one dope alien temple, yo!" Casey said with a grin.
They started heading into the temple and the doors closed behind them, leaving them in a darkened room. Fugitoid turned on the lights in his eyes and Kaz summoned a fireball in his right hand that he used to light their path.
April blinked, looking around the room. "Wow, amazing."
"It's definitely alien," Donatello commented, studying the symbols carved into the walls. "What does it say, Professor?"
"It's in ancient Aeonon," Fugitoid responded, coming over to inspect the symbols. He cleared his throat. "When the Soul Star, uh, reaches the mountain's peak, uh, the light of the Aeons shall illuminate all."
"What the heck does that mean?" Eclipse asked.
"Yo, check it out!" Casey called before anyone could said something else, having found some sort of button on the wall. "What do you think this does?"
"Don't push it!" Derek shouted.
But it was too late as Derek pushed it and a large blade popped out of the wall and into the floor, cutting out Fugitoid's arm.
"Oh, dear." The robot said.
Derek looked annoyed and conflicted on whenever or not he felt like punching him. "I said don't! Don't push the button! We're in an alien temple! In what world does that mean push a random button we found!?"
More blades started coming out of the floor and walls and they quickly started running. Raphael guided Michelangelo, who had his head stuck in his shell, and they jumped into the next room just before the door closed.
"Whoa!" Michelangelo said, popping his head out to make sure it was still intact. "Phew!"
"Casey!" Kaz said. "Stop touching stuff!"
"That was completely my bad." Casey responded.
"Ya think?" Natalie asked.
They kept going through the temple and emerged in a large, open room. Fugitoid looked up at the long staircase, gasping at the item he saw at the top.
"There it is."
"The first piece of the black hole generator," Briana said while Kaz let the fireball in his hands vanished since light was spilling into the room.
"Yes, we did it!" Leonardo cheered, high-fiving Henry and Eclipse.
"Wait, wait, hold on. What's it doing on an alter, anyway?" Donatello questioned. "Has anyone thought of that?"
"Who cares? We found it first." Eclipse said.
They took off running up the stairs towards the pedestal where the piece was.
"By the luck of the great Zanmaran." A voice came from the doorway and they all turned to find Mozar standing there. "Not only does Mozar find the fugitive android, he collects the first fragment of his prize." The Triceratons with him aimed their guns at the others. "Obliterate them!"
The Triceratons started shooting and they all jumped to dodge, taking out their weapons to fight back. Briana jumped, dodging one of the lasers and turned her head to find Mozar running up the stairs towards the black hole generator piece as she frowned and took off running after him. When Mozar reached for it, he never got to grab it when Briana leapt from behind and kicked his hand away.
"You're not getting anything today, Mozar." Briana said.
He growled at her and went to take a step forward, only for something to pull against his tail and stop him. "What?" He looked back to see Donatello holding on to his tail. Mozar smacked him away and down the pyramid.
Briana glared at the dinosaur and leaped towards him, her katana blade in her hands. She was able to hold her own against the dinosaur pretty well, especially since Mozar moved slower due to being taller and stronger.
"As entertaining it would be to watch you fail in this fight, last time I need is you getting squished and getting us both killed." Unagami said from inside her head.
Just like before, Briana felt like she was pushed out of control of her own body as her vision went black. Mozar, on the other hand, noticed a teal blue aura forming around the teenaged girl as a black demonic shadow with glowing red eyes and black pupils hovered over her, surrounding her body. Mozar went to smack her with his tail, but Unagami sent out a magic blast that pushed the dinosaur away from her and towards the edge of the pyramid.
Mozar narrowed his eyes at her. "What kind of creature are you?"
"Oh, believe me, I'm your worst nightmare." Unagami spat, glaring at him. "And like my annoying, pathetic vessel said earlier, you're not getting anything today."
Mozar growled and charged at her, but the demonic shadow raised its hands and summoned a ball of magic in her hands, psionic energy at the tip of her fingertips. She threw her hands forward and released the ball of magic, letting it push the dinosaur back towards the edge again where this time, he nearly fell off the edge but managed to quickly regained his balance. Mozar aimed his gun at her and pulled the trigger, firing lasers at her but the demonic shadow held up its hands, creating a shield around herself.
With one hand keeping the shield up, Unagami made her demonic shadow raise its hand and summoned her shadow hands with her right hand. Then, she used her left shadow hand to make a fist and shot it forward, slamming the fist she made into Mozar and sending him falling down the stairs as he dropped his gun while he tumbled down the stairs. Unagami lowered her hands, letting the shield around herself vanish yet she kept her shadow hands presentโ just in case she needed them still.
Mozar glared up at her once he was done falling. "In all my years, I have never encountered a creature like you. In any other situation, I wouldn't be hesitating to see which one of us is stronger."
Unagami scoffed as she glared at him. "I'm the demon spirit of darkness. The darkness is mine to control and YOU don't stand a chance against ME."
Mozar charged forward, horns first, ready to send her flying but Unagami used her shadow hands to wrapped themselves around the dinosaur's throat, lifting him up in the air as she squeezed his throat.
"Like I say, you don't stand a chance against me. You might've faced other creatures but you've never come across a demon from the underworld like me." Unagami taunted the dinosaur, an evil smirk forming on her chance as she made her shadow hands squeezed the dinosaur's throat harder. "Aw, what's the matter? Can the big, bad dinosaur not breathe?"
"Henry!"
Unagami looked over to find the others struggling while Henry was sent flying when one of the Triceraton soldiers slammed their tail into his chest, causing the teenaged boy to crash down hard onto the pyramid's side before tumbling toward the ground.
Unagami released a small breath of annoyance as the demonic shadow shook her head before looking back towards Mozar. "As much as I'd love to finish you off here, I'm needed over there, so..."
Without saying anything else, Unagami flung her shadow hands, throwing Mozar across the altar and watching with a nasty smirk as he tumbled towards the bottom. Then, Unagami leapt over to where everyone else were and before a Triceraton soldier could finish charging at him, Unagami summoned a ball of magic in her hands and threw it at the Triceraton, blasting him away from the teenaged boy as she landed on the ground in front of him.
"The first fragment belongs to Mozar!" Everyone spun around to find that Mozar had grabbed the fragment.
"Damn dinosaur." Unagami cursed. However, as much as the demon would like to have another go at the dinosaur, she could feel the seal on Briana starting to take affect as the demon was being pulled out of control of her vessel. "Oh, screw the damn seal."
But then, the light blue aura around Briana vanished as well as the demonic shadow while her eyes returned back to their natural sapphire blue eye color, the teenaged girl shook her head, blinking as she had no memory of the demon's fight with Unagami.
Mozar started shooting at the group, forcing them to scatter as he approached the door, placing bombs along the doorway. "It has been set in stone."
"No!" Leonardo shouted, he and Raphael running for the door. It blew up and rubble blocked the entrance, trapping them inside.
Henry gave a small groan of pain as he weakly sat up, Eclipse and Natalie giving him a hand to help him stand onto his feet. "You okay?" Natalie asked.
"I think so, justโ" Henry started before giving a small hiss of pain as he placed a hand against his ribs. "Ugh, might have a few broken ribs."
"Good news is that they'll heal though," Scott said. "Just give it a few seconds and they'll be as good as new."
Then, they approached the others, who were trying to clear the entrance. Fugitoid used a beam to move a block and dropped it on the floor.
"Ugh, low on power. We must find another way out."
"Easy," Derek said as he let his eyes turned yellow. "Stand back and I can easily clear this with one punch."
Zane noticed April climbing the stairs to the altar, looking down at the others from the top. April placed a hand to her head and reached out her other hand, pressing something on the altar. It started shaking, sending her to the floor as the stairs began collapsing.
"April!" Everyone ran for the altar, which were now inverted, the stairs descending.
"I'm okay!"
They jumped down to her, looking at the strange object that had been concealed below the altar.
"What is it, Professor?" Kaz asked.
"It's the Soul Star," the robot answered. "The symbol of the Aeons, containing the power of life itself. So, it was hidden away and turned the world evil."
"I get it now!" Donatello said. "When the Soul Star reaches the mountain's peak, the light of the Aeons shall illuminate all."
"Uh, translate?" Derek asked.
"It means we put it back where it belongs," Eclipse said. "Back on top of the temple and the Aeons come back."
April pulled the Soul Star from the altar, opening a door. They ran through to find themselves outside, about halfway up the temple.
April looked at the top. "If we can reach the top, I think it'll drive off the demons. At least, I hope."
"You hope?" Raphael retorted. "You could be totally wrong!"
"Give her a chance, Raph," Donatello said. "We have toโ oh, no!"
"Here they come!" Scott exclaimed as the swarm of demons started heading towards them. "Move!"
They took off for the temple, but Leonardo stopped. "No! The Triceratons are getting away!"
"Let them! We'll catch up to them later!" Briana said. "April's right, this isn't just about saving Earth anymore. It's about every world."
Everyone took off running up the temple again, but April stopped as a demon landed right in front of her, screeching.
"April! Throw it!" Zane called. April threw him the crystal and he caught it, running up the temple again while Michelangelo slammed into the demon.
"Hurry, Zane! Whoo!" Fugitoid screamed as he was taken into the air and dropped, hitting his head on the way down.
"Almost there! Ah!" Zane was snatched by one of the creatures and he threw the star to Leonardo.
Leonardo carried it until he was caught, throwing it to Briana. "Bri, catch!"
One of the creatures caught it instead, soaring into the sky. As it dove back down, Casey smacked a puck into its face, making it lose its grip. Immediately, Kaz used his flying ability and took off, catching the star in midair. He managed to hold onto it for a while and while the creatures were going after him, Kaz spotted April near the shrine.
"April, catch!" Kaz said, throwing the star to her, which she caught.
With the star in her hands, April managed to slammed the Soul Star into its rightful place. A bright, white flash erupted as well as a shockwave while the planet started to return back to its beautiful state and the creatures came to a halt.
"It's working!" Mara said as the creatures started glowing and Kaz landed alongside the others.
Leonardo raised a hand to his head. "Oh, it feels like a huge weight off my brain."
Briana felt a lot easier to keep her negative emotions at bay and locked behind her walls now that the injected anger was gone, making her let out a relieved sigh.
The creatures began shedding their black skin, revealing pure white forms with angel-like wings.
Fugitoid gasped. "Thโ theโ the Aeons."
Eclipse blinked. "Whoa, look at that."
The Aeons descended toward them. "Thank you. You saved us from ourselves."
"Yourselves?" Natalie asked.
"Wait, so the demons were the Aeons all along?" Michelangelo asked.
"The Utrom gave us the fragment to protect, but its immense power entranced us," the Aeons explained. "We Aeons had never allowed technology on our world before. We desired to know its secrets. We began to worship its technological power and hid away our beloved Soul, thus, corrupting our world, and us with it. We became monstrous, horrible things, and when we hid away our Star, the evil was complete. Thank you, friends, for saving our world." The tip of the Soul Star broke off and floated over to April, who took it. "Take this gift. It is a tiny fragment of our Soul Star. It will bring you luck and power."
April studied the fragment. "Wow, it's beautiful."
Casey waved goodbye to the Aeons as they flew off. "Goodbye, glowy dudes!"

ONCE THEY RETURNED to the ship, they took off into space again.
"Floor it, Fugitoid!" Leonardo said. "There's still time to catch up to the Triceratons."
"Whoa, dudes, dudettes, what an adventure." Michelangelo said, relaxing back in his station.
"The Utrom made a big mistake when they trusted the fragment with those guys." Eclipse stated.
Henry nodded. "Yeah, if ancient, cosmic beings can be transformed into that, I guess that goes to show anyone can be corrupted by power."
"Okay, hold up! So, that crystal that the Aeons gave to April? Well, that little thing ends up giving us more trouble than we expected... eventually."
