"Ever wondered what it'd be like to fight a alien shark in outer space? Well, one thing you should know: alien sharks can be a bit of a pain sometimes."

"SELECT THAT QUADRANT, Raph," Leonardo instructed. "Scan there."

Raphael pressed a button on the screen in front of him, looking back at where April, Casey, Kaz, Mara, Zane, Briana, Donatello, Michelangelo, Derek, Scott, and Natalie were. "Why do they get to mess around? They should be helping us find the Triceratons." Raphael complained.

"Fugitoid is testing out April's psychic abilities and Kaz's fire powers," Henry said as Eclipse typed into one of the consoles beside him. "He's training them."

"Okay, April, in which of the spheres have I placed your tessen?" Fugitoid asked, holding his arms out to the spheres.

April looked over the spheres and smiled, pointing to the one on her left. "That one."

"Ding, ding, ding, ding, ding! Excellent," the robot made the spheres vanish and the tessen fell into April's hands. "Fantastic session." He looked over at Kaz. "Now then, let us move onto you, Kaz."

Kaz closed his eyes and he could feel somethingโ€” a fire burning inside of him. He let the fire inside of him grow for a while before he grabbed onto it, taking it into his control. He reopened his eyes and held out his hand, opening his palm as a ball of fire appeared, hovering above his palm.

"Well, Professor?" He asked.

Fugitoid scanned the ball of fire with his robotic eyes, looking in amazement. "Fascinating. It appears to be some form of rapid oxidation process that releases heat, light, and reaction products. The ability to create your own fire and flames is amazing enough, but to be bind it together like this or control it with your own will is incredible. Your abilities, as well as April's, are marvels waiting to be unlocked!"

Both April and Kaz smiled. "Thank you, Professor."

"How did you learn so much about the human brain?" April asked.

"Since it's the only part of my original body I have left, I have done extensive research on brain matter," Fugitoid responded. "Neurophysiology."

"By any chance, is that connected to emotion?" Kaz asked.

"To an extent." Fugitoid answered.

"Because, if it helps, that does affect my powers," Kaz explained. "I can usually control them pretty well regardless but if I get angry, well... you might want to steer clear of me."

"Hmm," the white robot brought his robotic fingers to his face. "So, your powers are also based on your emotional state, interesting."

"You never fully explained how you became a cyborg, dude." Casey pointed out.

"Well, then allow me to enlighten you," Fugitoid began. "I am from D'Hoonib, a planet of humanoid scientists obsessed with penetrating the highest truths of the universe. I was working on a new form of psionic technology when our friends, the Triceratons, came looking for me. The Triceratons attacked because I refused to build them weapons. They were furious, destroying everything in sight. My robot assistant placed my brain inside its own robot body. It saved my life. Man merged with machine, and I was reborn." His head plates opened, showing his brain. "When the Triceratons found out I was still alive, they deemed me a criminal; a Fugitive Android."

"Ooh," Michelangelo poked Fugitoid's brain, laughing. "Spongy."

"Mikey!" Raphael scolded. "If you had a brain, would you want somebody poking it?"

Michelangelo poked the brain again and Raphael growled at him.

Fugitoid laughed. "It's quite alright. It tickles." He laughed, moving away when Michelangelo went to poke his brain again. "Ooh, don't." His head plates closed, putting the brain back in his head. "But I do have a great fear of losing my humanness." He looked at his hands. "I don't want to be thought of as just a machine."

"We'd never think of you as just a robot, Professor." Zane said.

Something crashed into the ship, making everyone lose their balance.

"What the heck is going on, Fugitoid?" Mara asked, everyone quickly running to see what was on the screen.

Fugitoid jumped to the main console, typing into it. "Something's attacking our ship!"

"Do you really need a control panel to tell you that?" Derek questioned before yelling. "OBVIOUSLY SOMETHING'S ATTACKING THE SHIP!"

"Donnie, you see anything?" Briana asked, both of them typing into one of the consoles.

"I can't pinpoint it, but something's out there." Donatello responded.

Pictures began appearing on the screen.

"What is that?" Natalie asks.

"Was that a space shark?" Eclipse questioned.

"Space shark?" Casey repeated, laughing. "Wicked! That's, like, more metal than Vikings on motorcycles, bro!"

Mara laughed. "Finally, some action!"

Derek groaned as he facepalmed. "I'm surrounded by idiots."

The shark slammed into the ship again, making it shake while they fought to keep their balance. It took out one of the cameras, cutting it to static.

"Captain Leo, Captain Henry, what are your orders?" Michelangelo asked.

"Weโ€”" Henry cut himself off when he noticed someone missing. "Wait, where's Leo?" He looked around the room to find no signs of him.

"Leo, are you crazy!? What are you doing!?" Donatello yelled through the comms.

"And without backup!" Eclipse added.

"I got the ugly beast in my sight." Leonardo responded.

Briana pulled up the ship's list of criminals and stopped when she landed on the shark guy, reading the profile. "Armaggon. Bounty hunter. Space assassin. Wanted in eighty-seven star systems."

"Why do I feel like that Lord Dregg guy sent him after us?" Scott commented.

"Leo, get your ass in here, now!" Henry yelled through the comms.

"Agreed, he's far too dangerous. Leonardo, we should definitely avoid confronting this creature." Fugitoid said into the comms.

"Too late!" Leonardo yelled as grunts and thuds came through the comms.

"How have you idiots survive this long?" Derek questioned.

Henry ignored him and turned around, making his way to leave the bridge.

"Where are you going?" Natalie asked.

"To get his ass back in the ship," Henry said, frustrated. "So, I can kill him myself!" He left the bridge and went to put on his spacesuit.

๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘

THE BLUE MASKED mutant turtle swung his blade at Armaggon, forcing him to open his mouth as he used his sword to keep his jaw pried open. Right when Leonardo started to fly back towards the ship with his own tether, Armaggon snapped the blade to pieces in his mechanical jaw and flew around, heading right for him.

But before the space shark could get closer, Henry flew in with his spacesuit and kicked Armaggon around. He whirled around to face the mutant turtle. "Go! Back to the ship!" He said. "We're not fighting him on his own turf!"

The two of them flew back towards the air-lock toward the back of the ship just as Armaggon's began to fly right back towards them. Just when the two made it to the airlock opening with Armaggon closing in on them, Henry made it first and then spun around, grabbing Leonardo and pulling him in.

Then, Armaggon wedged his body into the airlock but got stuck about halfway, trying to bite them repeatedly. Henry's eyes glowed yellow and he slammed a fist into Armaggon's jaw, the brute force throwing him out of the airlock while Leonardo closed it.

Both Henry and Leonardo took deep breaths, pulling off their helmets since they were back inside the air. As his eyes returned to normal, Henry reached over and smacked the back of Leonardo's head. "I swear, Leo, do you have a death wish? First, it was Shredder and now, you try to take on a space shark on your own on his turf? What the hell were you thinking!?" Henry yelled.

"Okay, okay, probably not the best idea." Leonardo admitted, rubbing the back of his head.

"Best? No, it was a stupid idea," Henry said. "Would you quit trying to get yourself killed? Last time I checked, we're a team and that means we don't do things on our own."

"I know, sorry." Leonardo apologized.

"You're good," Henry said. "Come on, let's head back to the bridge."

๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘

"LOOK AT THAT hunk of junk," Casey commented as the space station came into view.

"How do we get inside with the hanger doors closed?" Zane asked.

"I've hacked into the station system," Fugitoid responded. "Accessing hanger door. Opening."

"Open faster!" Donatello yelled.

Luckily, the door opened wide enough for the ship and they entered. "Shut the door, Professor!" Eclipse shouted.

The doors quickly shut and they cheered as the ship docked.

Everyone then left the ship and started to walk around the space station, looking around.

"Guys, this is just like the space station in my 'Alienoids' comic book," Michelangelo said. "Remember that?"

Raphael rolled his eyes. "Relax, Mikey. It's better than being space chum." He earned a raspberry in return.

"Mikey's right though," Briana said. "People don't abandon space stations because things are going well."

"Then, why abandon this one then?" Natalie questioned.

"This place is trashed," Kaz said. "What the hell happened here?"

Michelangelo tripped over something, shooting up a cloud of yellow dust that sent him into a coughing fit. Once the dust settled, everyone looked to see a pile of empty suits covered with the strange yellow dust.

Scott picked up the glove that Michelangelo had tripped over. "How could they leave without their spacesuits?"

"And what's with the yellow dust?" Mara added.

Fugitoid scanned it. "Calcium dust? Oh, no. The crew didn't leave. They were disintegrated."

Scott blinked and glanced down at the glove he was holding before he threw the glove down, quickly wiping his hands on his spacesuit.

"Let's shine some light on things, shall we?" Fugitoid rested his hands on a nearby panel, hacking into it. "I'm sure we'll all feel much better when we can see the place." The lights turned on, allowing them to see multiple of empty spacesuits covered in the yellow dust.

April blinked. "I think I liked it better in the dark."

"Me too." Zane admitted honestly.

Michelangelo looked around. "Just like 'Alienoids' issue three! When the aliens multiplied in the survivors' butts, and thenโ€”"

"Not helping, Mikey!" Eclipse snapped.

Derek snorted. "That's not as bad as a facehugger."

"What the hell is a facehugger?" Mara questioned.

Derek blinked. "You guys have never seen the Aliens movies?" Nobody said anything, which gave him his answer and he gave out a scoff. "Man, you guys are lame. A facehugger, which hatches from a Xenomorph egg, attaches itself to a hostโ€” typically a human, and implants an embryo inside. A few hours later, the embryo bursts from the host's chest, growing into anโ€”"

"Derek, shut it!" Scott snapped. "My god, I hate those movies."

An electronic whir echoed throughout the station. The screens on the walls above began turning on while a glitchy voice came through the speakers. "Greeting-g-g-gs. Gre-gre-greetings. Greetings."

Henry blinked. "Uh... who are you?"

"Greetings. I am the artificial intelligence of this space station. Thank you for reactivating me. The crew called me 'Overmind.' I run all onboard systems. How may I help you?"

"Can you kick a giant shark's butt?" Raphael asked.

"Your request is invalid. I am a fully automated self-repairing factory built to construct VX3 robots."

"Robots?" Zane questioned. "What kind of robots?"

"This factory built the best VX3 WarBots in the galaxy."

"So, uh, Overmind, what happened to the crew?" Kaz asked.

"The remaining crew must have shut down the station."

Briana blinked. "Did you say remaining?"

"I feel like we're not gonna like the answer." Natalie comments.

"Upon gaining sentience, the robots decided the crew were weak and inefficient, so they destroyed them."

"Okay," Natalie said as she turned around, going to leave. "I'm out!"

"Thank you for the information." Fugitoid started walking away. "We'll just be on ourโ€”" the console shocked him and he fell to the floor.

"Whoa, Fugitoid, are you alright?" Eclipse asked.

The white robot got back to his feet. "Yes, fantastical. Never everโ€”" his body started glitching. "โ€”better. Don't..." he started shutting down. "Fretterrrrr." Steam rose from his head. Raphael moved toward him and Fugitoid turned around, smacking him and throwing him back into Kaz.

"Not cool, Fugitoid!" Michelangelo snapped.

Fugitoid groaned, backing away from them, electricity sparking around the eye piece. He turned and took off down the hall while the others took off after him.

"Fugidude, stop!" Casey shouted. "What theโ€” whoa..."

They skidded to a halt in a room surrounded by machinery.

"This place gives me the chills." April said.

The four shapeshifters felt their ears pricked at a groan and followed to where the white robot was huddled on the floor.

"You should go," the robot said quickly. "G-get away from me. Please." He started mumbling nonsense, his sensors in disarray. "Maโ€” maโ€” my greatest fear. Losing control. Losingโ€”"

"Are you malfunctioning?" Scott asked. "You can tell us."

"Not safe. It's not safe... you see, I'm paโ€” powered by a fโ€” fusion core. That jolt. I could be unstable..." his speech was slurred and spazzy.

"Uh, Donnie? Translate?" Leonardo asked.

"He's saying he's basically a big walking fusion bomb!" Donatello responded.

"The original intent of my robot body was to be a fusion generator," Fugitoid explained. "It's why I tend to be a littleโ€”" he started babbling. "Nervous at times."

Natalie crossed her arms. "Great. Now, he tells us."

Suddenly, an alarm went off and the machinery in the room activated, beginning to build robots. Everyone took their weapons out, readying themselves as a robot jumped down behind them.

"I'm thinking those are probably the WarBots, yo." Casey said.

"No, really?" Derek questioned sarcastically before rolling his eyes. "Obviously!"

"Look out!"

At the warning, they jumped out of the way when the robot jumped at them, avoiding it. As the other robots jumped down and charged at them, they all fought back and as they did, Overmind's voice echoed throughout the room.

"Once I gained sentience, I understood that organic creatures were already a fleeting memory. All organics are obsolete. The crew tried to destroy me, but they were unsuccessful. When you reactivated me, you restarted the robot revolution."

"Casey!" Zane called, throwing a photon puck at him. Casey slammed his hockey stick into it and it shot into the cannon a robot had aimed at him, blowing up the machine.

"Overmind is one. Overmind is complete. Overmind is forever."

Eclipse sliced through one of the robots with her kamas and Henry sliced the robot behind her in half with his twin swords. Briana used her katana to deflect the lasers being shot at her before slicing the robot in half.

"Ugh, whatever," Mara said in annoyance. "Doesn't AI ever shut up?"

"I got news for you, space station," Leonardo said, pointing his sword at the ceiling. "We just trashed your army."

Giant claws suddenly came out of the walls, grabbing them and lifting them into the air.

"Why would you say that? Why!?" Derek snapped. "My god, seriously! How have you idiots survive this long!?"

"You have gravely miscalculated." Fugitoid walked over, his eyes blue instead of his usual amber. "I am Overmind. I am one. I control all technology on this station. No need to struggle. Because you are insufficient, you will be enhanced with robo-technology."

"We don't want to be enhanced!" Eclipse snapped.

"Oh! Oh! Can I get laser eyeballs?" Casey asked. "Or maybe a rocket first?"

"Can you release us so I can smack him this time?" Scott asked.

Overmind started speaking again. "The previous human crew sabotaged my thrusters, so I must use the Fugitoid ship to obtain my goal. Overmind will control all mechanical life in the known universe. Overmind will eliminate inefficient organic life."

"Fugitoid, you can't let him do this!" Briana called.

"Yeah, we gotta save Earth!" Zane added.

"Earth is irrelevant," Overmind retorted. "You will be mechanized and turned into Overmind's drones."

Long metal tendrils appeared around them and began connecting metal pieces to their faces, turning their voices mechanical.

"Concentrate," Leonardo ordered. "We have to resist!"

"Donnie, think of something!" Raphael snapped. "We're getting turned into toasters!"

"So not cool, bro!" Michelangelo said.

"The voice thing is wicked." Casey laughed.

"No, it's not, Casey!" Zane said.

"This is it," Donatello said. "We're doomed!"

"No!" Derek shouted. "I can't turn into a robot surrounded by idiots!"

April's eyes widened. "I'm... losing... myself!"

Suddenly, something started shooting at the tendrils, exploding them, quickly followed by the claws, releasing them and sending them to the floor.

"Whoa! Saved by Robo-Jaws?" Michelangelo asked as Armaggon landed in front of them.

"Uh, why'd you free us?" Natalie asked, as they got to their feet.

"The name's Armgaggon, and you ain't free. Lord Dregg wants you alive." The shark said.

An explosion went off, the floor shaking. It started sinking further into the station before coming to a halt. The wall lit up and robot tendrils lowered Fugitoid down for them to see.

"Overmind is in control," Overmind said. "Organics shall all be eliminated."

Robots started jumping down around them and they were quick to fight back. It didn't last long before the robots managed to overpower them, throwing them to the floor. A few electrocuted Donatello and Michelangelo.

"You guys okay?" Kaz asked.

Michelangelo groaned. "I'm well done, dude."

The robots surrounded all of them, forcing them to retreat back-to-back.

"Overmind has full control of this facility," Overmind said. "Full control!"

"April, you have to reach Fugitoid!" Briana said.

"Let me see what I can do." April brought her hands to her head.

"You will not take control," Overmind snapped. "I am Overmind!"

April screamed, sending out a psychic blast. Fugitoid twitched for a few moments, sparks flying, and his eyes turned to amber.

"Yes, I am Professor Honeycutt! I am back!" Fugitoid gave them a thumbs-up, only for more tendrils to wrap around him, lifting him higher in the air.

"I grow tired of this," Overmind growled. "I shall use your ship to free myself of this wretched station."

"His robots are accessing my ship!" Fugitoid said. "We have to stop him!"

"Professor, your fusion core!" Briana said.

"But that much power could destroy the entireโ€”" Fugitoid stopped when the pieces clicked. "Oh, yes, I see, an overload!"

"Give me your power!" Overmind snapped.

"You want to leave the station? You've got it, good sir!"

Explosions started going off around the station. "NOOO!" Overmind shouted as electricity pulsed through his robots, overloading them and sending them to the floor. "What? What have you done?"

The tendrils released Fugitoid, dropping him to the floor. "Everyone to the ship!"

"You ain't going nowhere!" Armaggon stood in their way, only for Leonardo to lunged at him, throwing his mask over his head.

"Leo!"

"Go! I got this!" He ordered.

"Go! Go, go!" Fugitoid called and they took off, leaving Leonardo with Armaggon.

While the others got onto the ship, Henry waited at the end of the hallway, carrying some breathing gear.

"Move it, Leo!" Henry shouted once spotting him.

Henry reached out his hand for him and he grabbed on, quickly pulling on the breathing gear. The station exploded as the two of them were jerked outโ€” Henry hanging onto a cord attached to the ship.

Once the two were safety back on the ship and inside the bridge, everyone started cheering. But then cheering stopped when a chiming sound started playing.

Derek groaned. "Oh, come on! Now, what is it? What kind of alarm is this?"

"The good kind," Fugitoid responded. "It's a proximity alert. The ship's computer has picked up the Triceraton fleet. We're back in business."

"Yeah!"

"Alright!"

Leonardo walked to the front of the ship, putting his hands on his hips. "Mr. Fugitoid, set a course for the Pryvax system."

Fugitoid looked up at him. "Um, the computer automatically does that, but thank you."

Oh. Uh, cool."

"Ninja power!" Michelangelo cheered.

"Oh, and another thing? Never trust AI, they're an even bigger pain to deal with."
