A/N: Eclipse belongs to GeekyCookie1.
After this one, one more episode till the first half of season four!
Enjoy!
"I guess, you could say that this was the start of when everything changed because after this, we had no idea what was coming our way."
"YES, THE FINAL episode!" Michelangelo said, putting the VHS tape in the player.
"Mikey, Raph and Bri are gonna be super ticked if we watch the Crognard finale without them." Eclipse said, as he seated in between Leonardo and Donatello while she leaned against Henry.
"Oh, yeah? Well, the Crognard finale's gonna be super ticked Raph and Bri didn't show up on time to watch it." Michelangelo said, grabbing the tv remote.
"Don't ask for help when they're chasing youย later." Henry added as Michelangelo started the final episode.
The episode began with Crognard getting ready to fight a dragon, despite the warnings he was getting. The five-headed dragon appeared and Crognard hit it with his blade, though it didn't do anything. The dragon ate Crognard and flew off as the episode ended.
The four mutant turtles and Henry stared at the tv with blank expressions on their faces, clearly none of them had been expecting what they had just watched.
"That's it?!" Michelangelo questioned. "After all those adventures, he just bites it? What kind of anti-climate ending is that?"
"Anti-climatic," Donatello corrected as Leonardo's phone started going off. "But wow, talk about a bummer ending."
"Some shows just end with a terrible ending, Mikey," Henry stated. "It happens a lot."
Leonardo gasped. "Sh, sh, sh, you guys! It's Raph! Uh, be cool, be cool." He cleared his throat, answering his phone. "Uh, hey, man, what'sโ uh, what'sโ what's going down?"
๐๐๐
CAPTAIN VIOLET STOOD at the edge of the rooftop, staring out at the city while her brother stood behind her, holding his phone as he placed the call on speakerphone.
"You jerks didn't watch the Crognard finale while Bri and I are stuck on Shredder patrol, right?"
"Who, us? No, of course not. But I bet if we did watch it, we'd have found it incredibly anti-climateโclimatic."
Captain Violet shared a confused glance with her brother.
"Yeah, well, you better wait untilโ"
"Raphael and Briana!" Captain Violet gave out a startled yelp at the sudden psychic connection. Raphael even gasped and dropped his phone. "We need your help!"
Captain Violet groaned as she rubbed her head. "Was that Rockwell?"
"I think so," Raphael said. "Come on." He led the way down the fire escape and into the sewers, quickly tracking down a helmetless Rockwell sitting beside an unconscious Slash. "Doc, where are they?"
"Where is 'he,' or should I say 'it', is the better question," Rockwell corrected as Raphael moved to check on Slash. "And the answer is 'gone', for now."
"What kind of 'it' can knock Slash out cold?" Raphael asked, kneeing beside the larger turtle.
"A being not of this world. Something beyond monstrous. Something I fear willโ"
"Dino-man!" Slash suddenly shouted, getting back onto his feet and startling Raphael.
"Dino-man?" Captain Violet questioned. "There's another mutant?"
"No, perhaps it's a dinosaur offshoot, evolved in secret over hundreds of millions of years," Rockwell suggested.
"He's an alien," Slash said. Raphael turned and started to walk away. "Where you going, brother?"
"If some Dino-man is living in my sewers and beating up my friends, then I'm gonna go return the favor." Raphael responded.
Captain Violet quickly set off into a sprint till she caught up with him. "I'm coming with."
"Do be careful," Rockwell started. "He's confused, unpredictable, frantic..."
"And hits like a runaway bus," Slash added with a groan.
Raphael nodded. "Noted. Now, get back to the lair so Splinter can patch you up. Dino-man's got a head start. I aim to catch up." He walked off into the tunnels with Captain Violet, as Rockwell yelled out one more thing.
"Be warned! He is possibly the most powerful creature we've ever encountered!"
๐๐๐
"RAPH'S NOT PICKING up," Henry said, looking at his phone screen with an uneasy feeling growing in his stomach.
"Neither is Bri." Eclipse added, looking at her own phone screen. "Any luck on your end, Mikey?"
Michelangelo was sitting on the couch with a laptop. "Nada. The Crognard fan sites all say that really was the last episode. What a bust!"
"She meant have you found Raph and Bri yet?" Leonardo asked before looking over at the screen of the laptop. "Really, though? There wasn't, like, a movie or something after?"
"Raphael and Briana are searching the sewers for the Dino-man."
Henry shook his head at the familiar voice echoing in his head while it took him a second to process what he'd said.
"Thank you, narrator?" Michelangelo asked confused.
"Mikey, that wasn't me, remember? It was Rockwell."
"Oh, yeah! Right! Okay, you can continue, Little Prankster."
๐๐๐
IN THE MUD were large, interesting footprints that caught Captain Violet's attention as she stared at them. "Raph, look." She said.
Raphael glances down at the footprints and frowns slightly. "How long can a giant dinosaur stay hidden in a little sewer?" He complained, glancing into the nearby pipes.
"Maybe he's scared," Captain Violet said. "He could be lost."
Raphael raised a brow at his youngest sister. "He beat Slash till he was out cold, Little Warrior."
"Maybe Slash and Rockwell took him by surprise," Captain Violet suggested. "He could just want to be left alone, like you guys or like how Muckman did. You never know, he could be on our side."
If it was anyone else, Raphael would find himself trying to get the idea out of their heads but since this was Briana and he knew how naive his youngest sister could beโ how she didn't see the harsh and cold reality of the world and only saw it as rainbows and cupcakes, and as much as he sometimes found himself worrying about her since he knew she would easily trust the wrong people, he didn't have it in him to crush the way she saw the world.
Yes, it was true that his baby sister could be extremely naive, but if he had to be honest, he wouldn't have her any other way. So, if that meant that he would have to keep an eye out for her and be wary of who she trusts for her, then so be it.
That's exactly what he would do.
Raphael chuckled softly and reached over to ruffled her hair, messing it up. "Sure, Little Warrior," he said. "We'll see if he's on our side."
And the big, bright smile that formed on her face was enough to make him smile as well.
๐๐๐
ROCKWELL CAME FLOATING in the lair, carrying Slash with his powers. He set the large turtle down on the floor, falling onto it himself.
"Rockwell, what happened?" Donatello asked as he and the others ran over.
"And did you say 'Dino-man?'" Eclipse added. "As in the urban legend Dino-man from the news?"
"He's no legend," Rockwell responded. "He's real. And he's more powerful than you could ever imagine. Alas, we tried to stop Raphael and Briana from going alone, butโ"
Slash pushed himself up. "That hothead and kunoichi are about to get themselves into some hot water."
๐๐๐
THE BROTHER AND sister entered a room with a small pool, looking around. "Um, Raph?" Captain Violet pointed to something beneath the surface of the water.
The creature below rose up enough to show large horns, walking up the steps and out of the water.
"What the heck?"
"Zog's ready," the dinosaur coughed. "The beacon... orders must triangulate now."
"Back off, Dino-man!" Raphael said, pulling out his sais.
The dinosaur roared and swung at Raphael, who ducked under his hand before jumping off him onto the wall. The dinosaur threw a punch and Raphael jumped off the wall as the dinosaur's fist slammed into it, landing behind the creature.
"Whoa! It's okay, big guy," Captain Violet said, holding her katana blade in case she had to use it. "Look, we don't want to hurt you. Well, honestly, I don't know if we can."
The dinosaur coughed. "Mutaters are close." He roared, running back to Raphael. "Command!" He slammed into the wall, knocking it down, causing a cloud of dust to spill into the rooms, making the two teens cough.
Captain Violet backed away from the cloud of dust, holding a fist to her mouth as she coughed. "Okay, so, he's faster than he looks. Good to know." She runs through the hole in the wall, chasing after the dinosaur and her brother.
"Raph!" Captain Violet called out, spotting the dinosaur trying to smash her brother with his feet.
Raphael managed to back away in time and flipped onto his feet. He went after the dinosaur with his sais, yet it didn't do any damage. Captain Violet rushed forward and leapt at the dinosaur from behind, swinging her katana blade but it didn't do anything as well.
The only thing that happened was that it took the dinosaur's attention off of Raphael and onto her.
Captain Violet yelped as the dinosaur charged at her and jumped out of the way to avoid his horns. She reached into her belt and pulled out a couple of shurikens, throwing it at the charging dinosaur but like her sword, the shurikens didn't do any damage either. However, this time, she didn't have enough time to jump out of the way as the dinosaur slammed into her, sending her crashing into the wall and falling onto the ground.
"Violet!" Raphael called out before glaring at the dinosaur. "Alright, freak! Now, you've done it!"
"All explosions zero on mission status!" The dinosaur coughed. "Command. Orders!"
"I got your orders right here!" He leapt at the dinosaur with his sais forward but the dinosaur punched him away.
"Power to the Triceraton Empire. Destroy the Kraang!" The dinosaur ran at Raphael, who dodged out of the way.
Captain Violet felt her eyes widened as she stood up. "Wait! You're after the kraang too?" She asked. "We kicked their butts back to Dimension X!"
Raphael jumped out of the way and the dinosaur slammed into the wall, falling to the floor. The dinosaur pinned him down with his foot and the red masked mutant turtle tried to push it away to prevent it from crushing him.
"Raph!"
"Captain Mozar, orders, now," he coughed. "Orders for the beacon!"
"Orders are to stop!" Captain Violet burst out.
"On whose authority?"
"Uh, me!" Raphael responded quickly. "Commander, uh, Zoraph in charge. Here, now of you! Please don't crush me!"
The dinosaur narrowed his eyes, though he released Raphael, saluting him. "Zog reporting for duty, sir." He coughed. "Alert Tri-Troops to Kraang! Smash them to bits!" He coughed again.
"Raph!" Captain Violet rushed over to Raphael and just as he stood up, she threw her arms around him.
"I'm okay, little sis." Raphael reassured, patting her back reassuringly as the two pulled away.
"Orders, sir?"
"Oh, uh, right. So, you think they're out there, soldier? Then I order you to find the kraang." Raphael instructed.
"Zog has the trail as Zoraph commands. Head down, horns up!" The dinosaur smashed through a wall.
Captain Violet blinked and shared a glance with her brother before the two followed the dinosaur. "The others aren't going to believe this."
๐๐๐
THE ORANGE MASKED mutant turtle was rewinding the episode, only to rewound when the dragon snapped its jaws down on Crognard. "Aw, yeah! Fixed it! See? Now he wins."
Henry's phone started going off and he pulled it out. "It's Raph." He answered it. "Dude, where are you? We've been calling... wait, you're doing what?"
The next thing that they knew was that the rest of them found themselves in the subway entering a secret passage they had in a wall. Both Raphael and Captain Violet were waiting for them on the other side in front of a large tunnel.
"About time."
"Alright, we're here. What's this all about?" Leonardo asked.
Without saying a word, both Raphael and Captain Violet moved away from the tunnel as a huge dinosaur came into view. Boy Danger felt the wolf inside of him growl at the sight of him while the others gasped. The dinosaur roared, raising his fist to attack.
"Yo, hold up!" Raphael said quickly. "False alarm, Zog." The dinosaur lowered his fist.
"I don't believe this." Eclipse commented.
"Holy chalupa," Michelangelo said. "The Dino-man's real?"
"And you tamed him?" Boy Danger questioned while the wolf inside of him continued to growl at the sight of the dinosaur, giving him an uneasy feeling about him.
Raphael shrugged. "Sorta. He likes smashing stuff. Isn't that right, soldier?"
"Hold up, Raph," Leonardo said. "Did you forget the part where he beat down half the Mighty Mutanimals?"
"Just trust me. I'll explain on the way. Go get them, soldier!" Raphael ordered while Zog disappeared down the tunnel.
"Uh, on the way to where?" Eclipse questioned.
"The kraang." Captain Violet answered, following Raphael and Zog down the tunnel.
The others blinked. "What!?"
"Dude, dudette, the kraang are gone," Michelangelo said. "We kicked them back to Dimension X, remember? And then we ate pizza and break danced, and I threw up, causeโ"
"Actually, about that," Captain Violet added. "Zog says that they're still here and like Danger here, he can sniff them out. Huh, Zog?"
"Zog!" The dinosaur coughed. "Zog will lead to kraang. Beacon needed!" He coughed again. "Destruction to the mutaters."
"You tell them, soldier," Raphael said. "Old Zog's spaceship crash-landed a few months back. He's been taking out the kraang's secret bases ever since. He's on our side."
"And you trust him?" Boy Danger asked.
"Technically, him and Raph did bond over a mutual love of destruction," Captain Violet teased her brother lightly before realizing that the dinosaur stopped. "What's up, Zog? Found something?"
Zog sniffed the air and coughed.
"What's wrong with him? Is he sick?" Eclipse asked.
"I'm starting to understand his backwards talk," Raphael explained. "His people, the Triceratons, need nitrogen to breathe."
"And the part where he calls you Commander Zoraph and does everything you say?"
"Raph wanted an attack Dino," Captain Violet informed. "He saw this as his chance and took it, but to be fair, he was about to get crushed."
"What's the big deal? He needs a leader, and I'm leading." Raphael said.
"It's not you that I don't trust," Boy Danger said before pointing at the dinosaur. "It's him."
"Yeah, I don't know about this." Leonardo added.
Zog turned to them. "Stomp the mutaters!" He started stomping his feet on the ground and the tunnel shook, rocks falling around them. "Man your battle stations! The invasion begins!"
Leonardo gave his brother a sharp look. "You were saying?"
The floor collapsed underneath them, sending them crashing down into another room that happened to be fill with kraang droids.
"You were saying?" Raphael snapped back. Leonardo rolled his eyes and got to his feet, pulling out his katana blades.
"It is the ones called the turtles, Boy Danger, and Captain Violet." A droid said.
Donatello blinked. "Whoa, Zog was right. The kraang are back."
"And the one called Tri-Tri-Tri-Tri-Triceraton." The droid started glitching when it spotted the dinosaur before running away.
"Kraang, destroy for Kraang." Another droid ordered as they started to shoot.
"Mikey destroys for Mikey." Michelangelo retorted, kicking down a droid.
Leonardo cut one down. "I don't miss these guys..." he cut another down. "But I do miss doing that."
"Biotroids, engage!" Kraang placed themselves in the biotroids, adding onto their fire power.
"Mutaters!"
Zog ran to the biotroids, taking down the first two with ease. The kraang droids started shooting with the final biotroid while Zog took out a couple of droids before picking up the biotroid with his horns and throwing it into more droids. Raphael stabbed the biotroid, shutting it down.
"Zoraph will..." Zog coughed, picking up the kraang. "Make your invasion defeat." He threw it to the floor. "To the end." He crushed the alien beneath his foot.
"You tell them, Zog!"
Donatello had stopped fighting and was trying to hack into a kraang computer. A kraang droid came up behind him, gun aimed at his back but Zog smashed the droid before it could fire.
Donatello turned around at the crash. "Whoa. Hey, thanks, big guy."
"Alert the beacon. Send the troops. The kraang..." Zog coughed. "Have the back door to space!"
Donatello blinked. "Uh, can we come back to that? I'm about to pinpoint the kraang's secret hideout."
"Kraang!" Zog slammed his fists into the computer, shattering it as Donatello jumped out of the way.
"Or we could just smash it to pieces and never find out where it is." Donatello turned to hack into the computer behind him, only to jump out of the way as Michelangelo threw a kraang droid into it, breaking it.
"And that's for Crognard!"
Captain Violet's jaw dropped as she spun around to stare at her brother. "Hey!" She yelled. "You guys did watch it without us!"
"Mikey!" Leonardo, Donatello, Eclipse, and Boy Danger yelled at him.
"AHA!" Raphael shouted. "I knew you watched it!"
"Watched it!" Zog slammed his fists into the floor.
A portal suddenly opened up, gaining everyone's attention. "Whoa! Space hole, guys!" Michelangelo said.
Donatello studied it. "Wow, a portal! I wonder where it leads. You know, we should probably do a test first, just in case, it'sโ"
"Get in that foxhole, soldier!" Raphael ordered, cutting him off.
"Sir!" Zog walked through the portal, earning a look from the others.
"What? That's what we got him for! Good job, Zog!"
"Raph, he's not an attack dog," Boy Danger said. "He's still a crazy alien that we don't know anything about."
"What's to know? We hate kraang. Zog hates kraang. Sweet deal." Raphael ran through the portal, Michelangelo and Captain Violet following.
Leonardo and Boy Danger sighed, sharing a look with Donatello and Eclipse before running into the portal. They jumped down onto the ground, weapons out, now on Liberty Island.
"What do we got, Zog?" Raphael asked.
Zog coughed. "Mutaters are close. There."
They followed his gaze. "The Statue of Liberty... is a kraang base?" Eclipse questioned.
"That's just evil." Michelangelo stated.
"The beacon must..." Zog coughed. "The beacon must go. No choice, rally them!"
Raphael turned to the dinosaur. "Awesome job, Sergeant Zog. You ready to do this?"
Then, they snuck into the Statue of Liberty silently, walking through it and spying on the kraang along the way. They stopped to watch a few screens.
"Whoa, what are they doing?" Michelangelo asked.
"Looks like they're trying to open a portal," Captain Violet responded as the image changed. "And if they bring all those Technodromes through, we're basically doomed."
"Oh, great." Eclipse sighed.
"Not on our watch," Leonardo said. "I've got a plan. Listen close because we've gotta be precise about it."
"Filthy kraang! Heads up!" Zog roared, running to the droids in front of them and starting to attack.
Leonardo sighed. "Free-for-all it is."
They took off up the stairs to the floor above, letting the Triceraton deal with the kraang droids on the current floor. The dinosaur had already taken care of one and caught the other that tried to jump down to one of the floors below.
"Triceraโ no, no."
Zog slammed it to the floor. More kraang droids jumped down, tasing him. Another droid, one in a human suit, ran to attack only to stop and hide its stun stick as the Triceraton pulled the droids apart with his mouth. He spotted the other droid, spitting out the stun stick he had in his mouth and walked over to the kraang.
"Kraang?"
"Uh..."
Zog slammed his hands onto the droid's head, crushing it with a roar. "Empire to victory!"
"Got to admit, he's good with his hands," Raphael said, watching a droid throw something at Zog, trapping him in some sort of bubble. "Zog! We gotta help him! I'm coming, Zog!" He ran to help him.
"Is it me or is anybody else getting a bad feeling about this?" Eclipse asked.
"Yep." Boy Danger and Leonardo confirmed. "Definitely."
As they were fighting the droids and dodging the blasts aimed at them, Leonardo spotted his brother shooting his grappling hook into the ceiling. "Raph, what are you doing?"
"Me and Zog are gonna take the crown," Raphael responded, letting the grapple pull him up. "You guys try and shut the portal down from here."
"Up for the beacon!" Zog coughed. "The empire will..." he coughed again. "Not be contained!"
"Portal is down," Donatello called. "No, ay, they're opening that baby up."
"I still can't believe Dino-dude was right about the kraang." Michelangelo said.
"Told you." Captain Violet commented.
Boy Danger's phone went off and he pulled it out, checking it. "It's Raph," he says. "He says to meet them in the crown. D
Zog found his old gear."
๐๐๐
EMERALD GREEN EYES opened while a small groan leaving his lips as Raphael woke up to the sound of his name being called and Zog was nowhere to be seen. "What happened?" Eclipse asked.
"Did you get kraanged up?" Michelangelo asked as Captain Violet helped him up.
"Zog found his old equipment... and then he turned on me," Raphael responded. "You guys were right."
The group of seven teens made their way outside, finding Zog. "Hey, Zog," Raphael said, gaining his attention. "You're not sore about the whole, you know, Commander Zoraph thing, are you?"
"No."
"Phew."
"I expected such treachery from the likes of Earth," Zog started. "We Triceratons pride ourselves on loyalty and honor. You Earth-dwellers are full on lies and deceit."
"Hey, who are you calling 'Earth-dwellers?'" Michelangelo snapped.
"Look, Zog, sorry that we tricked you but we had to get you to calm down somehow andโ" Captain Violet stopped when she realized what the dinosaur was holding onto. "What are you doing with that bomb-looking thing?"
It's not a bomb, it's a signal beacon." Zog corrected.
"Phew."
"To signal the Triceraton Empire's armada to come and wipe out the kraang-infested planet."
"WHAT!?"
Zog slammed his fist into Raphael, knocking him down again.
"You can't destroy this planet just to get rid of the kraang!" Boy Danger snapped as he and Leonardo jumped down to attack Zog.
Zog punched him hard enough to send him flying across the crown of the statue, but he caught the edge of one of the crown's spikes to stop himself from falling. Zog used his horns to throw Leonardo up into the air, then grabbed Michelangelo's kusarigama chain and knocked him into Leonardo, slamming them down onto the statue.
"Zog, think of what our species could learn from each other!" Donatello reasoned.
Zog threw the kusarigama chain at him and Donatello spun it away with his staff, only for the dinosaur to run into him, knocking him down onto the arm of the statue.
Eclipse ran at Zog, slicing at him with her kamas. He caught them, throwing her over the edge of the statue's head, but Eclipse grabbed the edge in time to stop her from falling.
"I know all I need to know about your planet!" Zog jumped onto the torch, climbing up it. "You let the kraang run rampant, jeopardizing the safety of the galaxy. I see no reason to spare you."
"Cause we're friends, Zog!" Captain Violet shouted, waiting for him at the top of the torch with Raphael.
Zog jumped onto the platform. "Friends?" He roared, sweeping his hand along the railing. Both Captain Violet and Raphael jumped up onto the flame to avoid it.
"We made a good team. We stopped the kraang together." Raphael jumped back down onto the railing. "Don't do this, man. Don't do this to our world."
"Enough!" Zog took out his gun and started shooting at them, as they dodged the lasers.
Just as Zog threw the beacon up, Captain Violet used her grappling hook to swing around and up, throwing a shuriken at the beacon just as it opened, destroying it before landing back on the platform.
"You fool!" Zog snapped.
"I'm sorry I lied to you, Zog. But I can't let you invade our world!" Raphael said.
"I'll squash you!" Zog charged at him, who jumped to dodge, and Zog fell over the railing, grabbing hold of the torch to keep himself from falling.
"Zog!" Captain Violet and Raphael ran up to the railing, holding their hands out. "Zog, take our hands!"
"Long live the Triceraton Empire." Zog released the torch, allowing himself to fall to his death.
"No! No!"
But it was too late and the others jumped up behind the two teens.
"Sorry, Raph," Leonardo said. "But at least we stopped the kraang."
"And Zog's signal." Eclipse said.
"Yeah, and on the bright side, we don't have to worry about an invasion of space dinosaurs." Michelangelo added, hanging from the torch.
Boy Danger, on the other hand, couldn't help but look worried as he glanced up at the stars while the wolf inside of him continued to grow anxious, his heightened senses all over the place.
"I'm not so sure we're done just yet." Boy Danger said, looking back at the others.
"What do you mean?"
"It doesn't feel like it's over," Boy Danger said. "If it is, why is my wolf getting so anxious?"
Donatello thought about it for a moment. "Wolves do have heightened senses that allow them to detect subtle environmental changes and cues that humans might miss."
"Maybe, but if that's true..." Boy Danger looked up the stars again.
"I think they're coming."
"Another alien invasion? Yeah, you can say that New York City is targeted a lot for those."
