"Okay, so, I know you all want to know how the Creep and Snakeweed are back again but first, this happened."

FROM THE TONE of her son's voice or the small frown on Piper's face, Kris just knew that she was in trouble. She knew what was coming and all she wanted to do was to avoid itโ€” a part of her wished that she was able to travel back through time just to avoid this moment. But she couldn't, and another secret was coming back as karma.

Kris finally found the courage to open her mouth and speak up. "What's... what's going on?"

But Henry wasn't having it as he scoffed. "Don't act like you don't know anything because after how you lied to me, I wouldn't be surprised if you still are."

"Mom..." Piper trailed off for a second, looking over at Henry as if she was searching for his reassurance and Henry gave her a nod. This time, she pushed herself onto her feet as she faced her mother. "When David used us to get Henry to come here, he... he called me a Fox Kitsune."

At those words, Kris couldn't help but feel her body tensed as she bit the bottom half of her lip nervously. She could feel her heartbeat pounding against her ribcage but she did the best she could to keep it steady, knowing that her son could easily tell that she was hiding something just by the sound of her heartbeat.

"I..."

"Mom, is there something I should know?" Piper questioned.

"I..." Kris knew she was in big trouble, but a part of her still didn't want to admit it or reveal another secret of hers. She spent years keeping her secrets under locked and key and now, everything was coming back to hit her right in the face. "Noโ€” no, of course nโ€”"

"For the love ofโ€”" Henry interrupted, his ears pricking at the sound of her heartbeat quickening with each word she spoke. "Enough with the damn lies. The truth, now."

Once again, Kris grew silent as she bit the bottom half of her lip, not seeing a way that she can get herself out of this messโ€” to buy herself more time to keep this secret hidden, but there was nothing that she could said that came to her mind.

Nothing but the truth.

The only problem was that Kris wasn't ready to give the truth.

"Kris isn't her mother."

Kris closes her eyes for a few seconds at her ex-husband's voice before she reopens her eyes and turns around to face Jack, who was standing at the doorway.

"Jackโ€”" Kris started to try to stop him.

"Just stop, Kris," Jack interrupted. "They already know so, for once in their lives, let's just be honest with them and tell them. You already lied to Henry for most of his life about Daniel. Were you hoping to lie to her for as long as you did with Henry?"

Kris didn't answer as she slightly looked away from him while Jack directed his attention back to Henry and Piper.

"The reason why Piper's a Kitsune is because Kris isn't her mother," Jack explained as he let out a sigh. "Her real mother is Singe Fawn McLean and she..." he paused for a second before he continued. "Before I met Kris during my last year of college, I was in a relationship with Singe that ended around the time that Kris and I met. You already know that we got married young and during our first few years of marriage, we were fighting almost constantly and one night, after a fight, I went out to clear my head and ran into Singe. At first, we were just talking and catching up with each other but when I was with her..."

Jack paused again, as if old memories of his first love resurfaced in his head and for a split second, he couldn't help but let himself imagined if things had gone differently.

If only he and Kris hadn't...

Jack didn't let the thought finish as he pushed it aside. Although he didn't enjoy keeping secrets from Henry and Piper, there was one secret that both he and Kris were in agreement in keeping hidden from them for the sake of Henry's and Piper's safety, especially Henry's safety.

The last thing he needed was to give away something that would cause old memories of Henry's to resurface.

"While I was with her," Jack found the courage to keep going. "Everything felt easier with her and it felt like I was back in college with her. Singe and I got drunk and we ended up... spending the night together. The next day, we both agreed to pretend that it never happened until..."

"Until she showed up at the front door, pregnant," Kris added for him. "With Piper."

A tense silence filled the room and Henry could feel his blood boiling at everything he's just heard.

Ever since he was a kid, Henry has always known that the marriage between his parents was broken with all the fighting that Jack and Kris had done, which was why he spent so much time at the lair with the five mutant turtles and Briana or over at Zane's place when Piper was with her friends. But either way, he's witnessed their broken marriage and although he protected Piper from seeing it, he knew that he couldn't protect her from this.

And he hated that he couldn'tโ€” that he couldn't protect Piper from going through what he did when he found out that Kris had lied to him his whole life.

Because once again, here it was, happening again.

"How did I...?" Piper didn't have to finish her sentence for Henry or their parents to know what she meant.

How did she end up with them?

"When Singe gave birth to you, Kris lied and said that you were her daughter instead," Jack continued.

Henry glared at the two adults. "And you went along with it?"

"I didn't want to," Jack said. "But Kris here said that she wouldn't let me see either one of you two if I didn't go along with it so, I... I did."

Piper frowned lightly, blinking as if that would keep her eyes from getting watery from what she was hearing. "Does she even...?"

"She knows. I... I sent her picturesโ€”"

"What pictures? Neither one of you were ever never home to even take pictures of..."

The sentence never gets finished as realization draws on Henry on where Jack had gotten the picturesโ€” pictures that the only reason they existed was because Henry was the one that took them after finding his mother's Polaroid camera when he was a kid.

It was the only way he knew how to keep Jack and Kris aware of how fast Piper was growing and what they had missed everyday; he'd take a photo with the camera and labeled it on the back.

But at the same time, he took the pictures for himself because at the end of the day, it wasn't Jack or Kris that were there to witness Piper's first steps or hear her first word.

It was all Henry.

"I took the pictures you took and I... I sent them to Singe," Jack continued to explain. "Singe wasn't allowed to be near us or Piper since Kris got a restraining order on her, even though the restraining order turned void after Piper's twelfth birthday."

Piper glanced down at the ground, still blinking as she refused to let her eyes grow watery with tears. The last thing she wanted to do was in cry in front of them or make Henry feel like he still had to have that responsibility over her when...

When they weren't even related or shared the same parents.

Her whole life, Henry has been the one that was practically more than just a big brother since that wasn't the only role he did. No, Henry had been her big brother, and her mother, and her father all in one package since they were kids. He's never complained once about having to raise her and as a little girl, Piper was nothing but a brat that always gave him such a hard timeโ€” and she couldn't help but blame herself for the fact that Henry never got to let himself be a kid just because he was too busy taking care of her.

Everything he did was for her and never for himself.

"So, you did exactly what you did to me about Daniel," Henry started as he glared at Kris. "To Piper." He clenched his fists tightly as the wolf inside of him growled at the chains that kept it restrained.

"Henryโ€”"

"No! No, you're gonna shut up and listen for once in your life!" Henry snapped, cutting his mother off. "What you did to me about Daniel--" he glared at Jack. "You did the same thing to Piper. Hell, you both did! What, leaving us home alone and never being there wasn't enough for you two!? You both just had to keep this stuff from us! God, what else are you two hiding from us!?"

"Henry--" Kris tried again.

"I say shut up!" Henry interrupted her again. "This isn't even just about your little secrets! It's about everything! It's about what neither one of you didn't do! It's about what I did! And you know what, I did a great job! Piper's a straight-A student and at the top of her classes! She's even class president! In sixth grade, she won first place in the science competition after making a volcano blow up! And you know what? She did it all, no thanks to you two, because you weren't here!"

Although Jack kept his mouth shut as Henry's words sunk in while the guilt was eating him up on the inside, Kris was the one that wanted to desperately fix this-- she was the one that couldn't see just how true Henry's words were about how she was never there when they needed her to be-- when they needed her to be their mother.

"I'm here now--"

"Fifteen years too late!" Henry cut in sharply, blinking back the tears that threatened to fill up his hazel-brown eyes and make his vision blurry. "You just can't decide to be a mother when you feel like it! You were never there for Piper!"

"I'm her mother--"

"YOU WERE MY MOTHER TOO!"

At those very words that left his lips, a thick, tensed silence fills the room and nobody dares to open their mouths to say anything. Henry hadn't realized that the tears he had been trying to hold back had silently slipped down his face until his cheeks felt wet out of nowhere, but he didn't move to dry them as he just stood there, breathing heavily as if he was catching his breath after running a marathon while his legs were frozen in place and his body shook with a rage that he could still feel bottled up inside, but all he wanted was to go home.

Because in that very moment, standing in that house, he wasn't home.

But with Jack and Kris knowing about the turtles or the lair now, he didn't know where his home or his safe place was anymore.

He was lost and didn't know where to go to feel like he was home.

After a few minutes of the tensed silence filling the room, Jack moves his gaze to his daughter. "Piper--"

"No," Piper said softly, cutting him off as she shook her head while her own eyes grew watery with tears. "I don't want to talk to either of you." And before Jack or Kris could stop her, she doesn't hesitant to run up the stairs and head straight for her bedroom where the sound of her bedroom door slamming shut is heard.

Feeling like he could move again, Henry roughly wipes the wetness from his cheeks as he refuses to break down in front of them or even in that moment before glaring at the two of them. "I'm done with you two." He said.

And then, just like Piper had done, he stormed up the stairs and headed straight for his bedroom where he slammed the door shut behind him, locking the door before sliding down it, once again holding back the tears as he squeezed his eyes shut tightly and burying his face in his knees, whispering one sentence to him as quietly as he could.

"I wish I was home..."

๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘

WEARING HER VISION quest outfit that she made during her time at April's farmhouse, Briana stood on a rooftop that was right across from Shredder's lair as she glared at the building, a strong look of determination was written on her face. She studied the entire building, planning out her entire plan in her head.

She knows that she should've told her brothers and sister about what she was planning the moment she showed Zane those videosโ€” that she should've asked them for their help and to come as backup.

But for some reason, Briana couldn't help but notice that ever since they've time-traveled with Renet, her brothers and sister have been differently latelyโ€” a lot more overprotective than they usually are, treating her as if she was made out of glass.

Normally, Briana could handled their overprotectiveness but as of lately, she couldn't help but feel just a tad bit annoyed of how they were treating her like she didn't know how to defend herself. But their sudden overprotectiveness wasn't the only thing that was bothering herโ€” it was the fact that her brothers and sister had the nerve to act like everything was normal, like she couldn't tell that something was bothering them.

As if she couldn't tell that they were scared of something with just one look at them.

"So, what's the plan?"

Briana couldn't help but let out a startled yelp as she nearly fell off the rooftop but quickly regained her balance. She gave a small sigh at the familiar voice as she turned around to face them.

"What are you two doing here?" Briana questioned.

"Did you really think that I didn't know what you were planning to do after the videos we watched?" Zane questioned. "And I knew that you'd try to do this on your own without telling the others."

"Gotta say, Bri, I was expecting this stunt from me with Raph and Kaz," Casey said with a smirk. "I didn't think you'd try to pull this stunt off."

"You guys aren't the only ones who can be reckless sometimes, Casey." Briana said.

"Clearly," Casey said with a snort. "Anyways, what's the plan?"

"What? No, no," Briana said as she shook her head. "You guys aren't coming with me, I'm going on my own."

"Did you forget that the Foot Clan want you? Either we're going with you, or..." Zane smirked at her. "I'm gonna have to call the others to tell them your plan here."

Briana blinked. "You're blackmailing me?"

"I wouldn't call it blackmail, more like..." Zane shrugged causally. "Trying to make sure you don't get captured yourself. Besides, I don't think Leo and Henry would be too happy to know about what you were doing here."

Briana stared at them before she sighed again, knowing that she didn't have a choice. "Okay, fine, you two can come." She motioned for them to follow. "Come on."

Briana is the first to jump from the rooftop as Casey and Zane follow her. They sneak across the street and into the alley next to Shredder's lair where they stopped at a service door that was locked.

"Okay, so, I'll get in through the broken window and unlock the door for you guys once I get the place cleared." Briana told them.

"Aw, man, you're benching us?" Casey questioned.

"Relax, Casey, I'm not benching you," Briana reassured him. "I'm just saving your strength for later. I'll be right back."

Briana then leapt up as she used the fire escape to get to the broken window before crawling inside of it. As both Casey and Zane wait, the only sounds they hear on the other side of the door are the metallic clangs or clatter. Then, the sounds come to a stop and for a few seconds, nothing happens until the service door is thrown open and both Casey and Zane find Briana standing there.

"Told you that I wasn't benching you." Briana said with a smirk.

Casey rolled his eyes playfully before he and Zane stepped inside while Briana closed the door behind them. Both Casey and Zane follow her lead as the three teens stuck to the shadows, keeping themselves hidden as they creeped through the hallways, reaching the stairs that lead down to the dungeon.

Briana slowly pushes the door open, hoping that it doesn't creak and once she opens it enough for them, the three teens slid inside the dungeon where Zane and Casey immediately start looking inside each cell.

"Which cell is he in?" Zane says softly, trying not to be so loud to not blow their cover while the anxiety of seeing his father again in years grows inside of him.

Casey could see the anxiety written on his face before he reaches over and grabs his hand, squeezing it reassuringly. In that moment, Zane looks at him just in time for their eyes to make eye contact with each other, each one lost in a gaze as neither one wanted to look away.

Briana noticed the way that they were looking about at each other and couldn't help but shake her head at the two, a small smirk on her face as she held back a chuckle that threatened to leave her lips. But then, just like the first time she and the others stuck inside to rescue Karai before she got mutated, Briana felt the magical pull towards a certain part of the wall as she walked towards it, staring at it as if the wall wasn't supposed to be there in the first place.

"Bingo." Briana whispered.

She sucked in a deep breath before releasing it, letting the teal blue aura formed around her hands while teal blue psionic energy form at the tip of her fingernails and her eyes turned evil red with black pupils.

"Teneris exilium." Unagami said softly, waving a hand in front of the fake wall.

Just as the teal blue aura vanished around her eyes and her eyes went back to normal, Briana, along with Casey and Zane, watched as the fake wall disappeared, only to reveal a cell in front of them. Briana reached into her belt and took out a lock pick, using it to pick the lock and the moment that lock clicked, she opened the door, peeking her head inside.

"Detective Carson?" Briana asked, spotting a fair-skinned older man that was wearing a light beige jacket and jeans with several tears, while his hair seemed to be graying slightly.

Axel blinks at his name being called and looks up. Briana looks out a relieved breath before pulling her head out and opening the cell door further, looking over to Zane to let him go first.

Zane hesitated for a second, biting the bottom half of his lip nervously. Once again, Casey reached over and grabbed his hand, squeezing it reassuringly. Then, Casey could've swore that his heart skipped a beat when Zane sent him a grateful smile before making his way closer to the cell.

"Dad?" Zane asked, stepping into the cell to look at his father.

Axel felt his eyes widened as he slowly stood up. "Zane? Is that you...?"

Zane nodded slowly. "It's me, dad."

Axel walked over to him, staring at his only son, who he hasn't seen in years. "Man, look... look at you. You definitely grew up a bit, kid."

However, Zane didn't respond and instead, before Axel knew it, Zane threw his arms around his father and hugged him in what felt like forever. Axel was taken aback at first before he smiled softly and returned the hug, leaving Briana and Casey to smile at the sight. When Zane and Axel stepped out of the cell, Briana closed the door behind them quietly.

"Thank you," Axel told her, a small smile on his face.

"Of course," Briana answered. "I'm just glad that we were able to get you out."

"Well, I'm glad that my son has a friend like you," Axel then turned towards Casey. "And I'm assuming you two are together."

Briana couldn't help but smirk at how both Zane's and Casey's faces turn red from Axel's words.

"W-what? N-no, we're not together," Casey said, yet the blush on his face hadn't died down. "We're just friends."

"Correction, they're not together yet." Briana added, her smirk grew wider when their faces even turn into a brighter shade of red.

Zane sent her a small, playful glare despite his red cheeks. "Not helping."

"I know," Briana admitted with a smirk before turning serious. "Okay, time to get out of before Shredder or his minions find out that we'reโ€”"

"Hot dang! Would you look at what we got here?"

The next thing that they knew was that Casey was suddenly knocked over by what looked like nothing but Briana looked a bit annoyed at the familiar voice.

"None of you can see me." Zane gets knocked down next. "I'm tooโ€”" Briana spins behind her and slams her fist into the person's nose, as it stumbles back and becoming visible, revealing himself to be Bebop.

"Ow!" Bebop rubbed his nose. "You hit my nose! How'd you even find me?"

"You don't stop talking." Briana answered with a deadpanned look, as if it was the most obvious thing in the worldโ€” which in this case, it pretty much was.

"Da, Master Shredder and Master Jake will be glad to see that we stopped the princess from escaping."

"Aw, sewer apples." Briana muttered at the familiar Russian accent as Rocksteady came into view as well.

"It's just those two idiots," Casey said, readying his hockey stick. "We can take them."

"Count again."

Briana frowned when TigerClaw stepped into view with Razar and FishFace following behind him. Before Casey could charge, Briana grabbed his arm and pulled him back.

"Forget about fighting them, Casey," Briana said, reaching into her belt to grab something. "We're outnumbered here."

"Get them!"

Right when the mutants charged, Briana threw down a smoke bomb as the purple smoke covered them, allowing the four of them to escape from the evil mutants.

๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘

"THANK YOU AGAIN for saving me." Axel said as they were standing in front of Zane's house. Briana had wanted to make sure that they weren't being followed and after doublechecking that they weren't, she made sure Casey got home safety first before doing the same with Zane and Axel.

"It was no problem," Briana said with a smile. "I'm just glad that I was able to help Zane find you."

Axel gave her one last grateful smile before turning to his son. "I'll meet you inside."

Zane nodded and once his father had gone inside, Zane turned back to Briana with a smile. "Thanks, Bri," he said. "I owe you big time."

"No, you don't," Briana responded. "We're friends, Zaneโ€” family. It was the least I could do."

Zane chuckled as he shook his head at her. "You know, we do still have one more mystery on our hands."

Briana blinked, confusion forming on her face. "What do you mean?"

"Yours," Zane answered. "What do we say if we figure out why your parents really sent you to Master Splinter?"

"You... you'd wanna do that for me?"

"It's like you say, Bri, we're family," Zane said. "Besides, not only did you believe me about my dad but you just helped me bring him home again. Now, it's my turn to help you." He held out his hand towards her. "What do you say, Watson?" He asked with a smirk. "You in?"

Briana stared at him for a while with a shocked look on her face before she couldn't help but smile softly at him, reaching out and shaking his hand. "I'm in, Sherlock." She answered before a look of realization washed over her. "But, first..." a sigh left her lips.

"I think I'm gonna have to deal with Leo and Henry first."

๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘

"HAVE YOU LOST your mind!?" Briana didn't answer as she stared at her not-so happy brothers and sister that stood in front of her, awaiting for the lecture that was coming right for her.

"When did you think that sneaking into Shredder's lair without backup was a smart idea?" Henry questioned angrily.

"I mean, technically, I wasn't on my ownโ€”"

"Casey and Zane don't count!" Leonardo interrupted, just as angry as Henry. "What were you going to do if one of them got hurt?"

"But they didn't!" Briana answered. "I knew what I was doing!"

"Did you? Because this whole thing isn't like you!"

"Yeah, I gotta said, that sounds like something I'd do," Raphael said as he stared at his youngest sister with his arms crossed over his chest. "As upset as I am, I'm more surprised that you actually did something like this."

"I told Zane that I'd get his dad back and that's what I did," Briana said. "What was I supposed to do? Let Detective Carson rot in that cell or let Shredder and Jake deal with him?"

"No, course not, but you could've told us!" Leonardo said firmly. "We could've made a plan to get him out of there!"

"You guys would've made me stay behind if I did tell you!"

"You don't know that." Eclipse said.

"Yeah, I do," Briana responded. "Because lately, ever since the whole time travel thing with Renet, you guys have been acting really overprotectiveโ€” more than usual! So, you know what I wanna know? Why are you guys acting so afraid?"

"What would we even be afraid of?" Donatello asked.

"You know, that's what I wanna know too." Briana answered honestly.

"Nobody's scared, Little Prankster," Michelangelo said. "We were just worried about you."

"Actually, you guys are scared," Briana said, refusing to back down from her words. "Ever since the time travel we did with Renet, you guys have been afraid of something."

"What makes you think that we're afraid?"

"Because I know you!"

"Really?"

"Yeah, because I've been following you guys around my entire life!" Briana suddenly shouted, making the five mutant turtles and Henry go silent. "I mean, since we were kids, I've looked up to you guys! Studying you guys, trying to be just like my big brothers and my big sister. Why do you guys think I begged Sensei to let me train with you guys? So, yeah, I know you guys. Better than anyone else in the entire world. And this is exactly how you guys act when you're terrified and worried about meโ€” you guys act like I'm made of glass or I can't defend myself. And, I mean, with all of our enemies after me, I can't blame you guys. It's just..." she looked away from them.

"What?"

Briana hesitated at first before she gave a small sigh, turning her head to look at them. "I wish you guys would drop the show and just be my big brothers and my big sister again cause... just cause."

There was no response as the five mutant turtles and Henry just stared at her and after a few seconds, Briana just shook her head and looked away from them.

"Just forget I say anything, alright?" Briana mumbled as she started to walk towards her bedroom. "I'm sorry I didn't tell you guys about this."

And with that, Briana walked away from them, leaving her siblings to let her words sink in.

๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘

ONE WEEK HAS passed since Briana had snuck into Shredder's lair to rescue Axel with Casey and Zane and since then, it hasn't been brought up by her, the five mutant turtles, or Henryโ€” none of them haven't even brought up the little argument between them that happened right after when Briana got back to the lair, which made things a bit awkward between them.

Everyone was currently gathered inside of the dojo for training.

"Your skills are much improved, April, Kaz," Splinter started. "Now, see if you can defend yourselves against Leonardo and Henry."

"Hmm." Both Leonardo and Henry took out a sword. "Don't think we're going easy on you this time, guys."

"Fine by us." April pulled out her tessen while Kaz pulled out his sword and on the hilt of his sword was a phoenix engraved into it. "Bring it on!"

"Hajime!" Splinter called, everyone began to spar against their opponent.

Briana and Eclipse swung their weapons, as they collided and clashed against the other. Eclipse swung her kamas at her and Briana jumped back to avoid them. Then, she leaped behind her and swung her katana blade, only for Eclipse to block it with her kamas after spinning around to face her.

"Okay, Raph, mercy. White flag! I surrender!"

The sparring that had been going on came to a stop as everyone looked over to find Donatello pinned beneath Raphael.

"Wow, Donnie. I thought you had me there for a second, but that was just embarrassing." Raphael noticed the look that Splinter was giving him and quickly got off his brother, helping him up to his feet.

"You hesitated, Donatello." Splinter said. "Why?"

"I know I should have countered, but Iโ€”I guess I just drew a blank." Donatello responded.

๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘

AFTER TRAINING WAS over, Henry was sitting in the middle of the dojo, mediating when his ears pricked, picking up the sound of footsteps. However, his nose also pricked at the familiar scent of mutagen and opened his eyes, only for them to widened when he spotted a familiar mutant in front of him.

"The Creep?!" Henry exclaimed.

Henry jumped out of the way to avoid getting hit by the Creep when the mutant raised its arm at him. He reached behind him and pulled out one of his twin swords. He leapt at the Creep as he raised his sword at the mutant, only for the mutant to grab his face and throw him against the tree, causing him to drop his sword.

"GUYS!" Henry yelled, moving to stand up but before he could, the Creep grabbed his throat and pinned him against the tree.

His ears pricked at the sound of running footsteps and the others appeared in the doorway, finding the Creep pinned Henry against the tree with its leafy hand wrapped around his throat.

"You!" Raphael snarled at the mutant.

"The Creep is back!?"

The Creep threw Henry at them as April, Kaz, Eclipse, and Donatello caught him while the others ran to attack.

"How is that freak back?" Kaz questioned.

"Alright, Creep, you want some of our mutagen? Then, how aboutโ€”" the plant mutant started glowing. "Uh, what's it doing?" Raphael asked.

"I don't know, but it's freaking me out, dudes." Michelangelo said.

The Creep struck at them and they were quick to dodge as the glow disappeared. It slammed them back into the floor and wall before striking at the others. Splinter shoved April out of the way while the others pulled Henry out of the way. Splinter ran at the mutant, dodging its attacks before striking at it and throwing it through the wooden dividers into the main room of the lair.

"Is everyone okay?" Splinter asked.

"Hai, sensei."

They jumped down into the main room, following the mutant's trail into the lab, only to discover it was gone.

"The Creep... must be what trashed the lab," Donatello said. "How'd it get out?" He looked at his brother. "MIKEY!"

"It wasn't my fault!" Michelangelo protested.

"Are you guys alright?" April asked, coming into the lab with Kaz.

"I think so, but the Creep's gone." Raphael said.

Michelangelo walked over to the shelves, looking them over. "Yeah, and I think it took something from the toy shelf. The Snakeweed Claw is gone!"

"I got a bad feeling I know why." Donatello started.

Everyone stared at him, waiting for him to finish but he never did.

"Yeah...?" Henry prompted.

Donatello blinked. "Wait. What were we talking about again?"

"Okay, Donnie, focus," Leonardo said. "We need to find the Creep."

"The Creep is back? Oh, man, my experiment." Donatello complained.

"You alright, Donnie?" Eclipse questioned. "You're acting more spaced out than Mikey."

"Hey!" Michelangelo complained.

"Isn't that the brain worm serum you were working on?" Kaz asked.

"It was, until Mikey ruined and spilled some on me." Donatello said.

"We don't have time for this," Leonardo said. "We got to find the Creep before something happened."

๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘

EVERYONE HAD PILED into the ShellRaiser and started driving to try to find the Creep. "The trailing is starting to run cold," Boy Danger said. "Donnie, what do you got?"

He didn't respond and Kaz looked over to find him playing something on his computer. "Is that a video game?"

"What the heck are you doing?" Raphael snapped at his brother.

"Just use your ooze scanner." Leonardo said.

"Oh, right." Donatello pulled out the tracker and held it upside-down. "I don'tโ€” I'm not getting a signal. Why won't this thing work?"

"Give me it." Captain Violet said, taking the tracker into her hands.

"Didn't Donnie said that Mikey spilled that brain stuff on him?" Eclipse questioned.

April nodded. "It affected the Creep somehow. Did you see the weird look it gave us?"

"Yeah, he didn't look like his usual mindless sack of grass self." Raphael agreed.

"So, if it made the Creep smarter, why is Donnie gettingโ€”"

"I got it!" Donatello cut Henry off, looking up from his phone and pressing a button on the keyboard in front of him that powered down the ShellRaiser, causing the vehicle to come to a quick stop and throw everyone else forward.

"Donnie, have you lost your mind!?" Raphael snapped.

"What do you mean?"

Captain Violet picked up the ooze scanner, turning a nob. "Guys, the Creep's going north on Bleecker, just a block away."

"April, Kaz, keep an eye on Donnie. Everyone else, you're with me." Leonardo said, leading the way out of the vehicle as the others followed.

Luckily, they managed to follow the Creep to a rooftop where they found him inside a greenhouse. "Remember, team, don't let the Creep touch you." Leonardo said.

"No kidding." Raphael responded.

They jumped down to the greenhouse and glanced inside as the Creep stood in front of Snakeweed's claw, having placed it on the ground. The claw opened and they could see something growing inside of it. Boy Danger's ears pricked at the sound of footsteps coming from behind and spun around to see Donatello approaching.

"Hey, guys. What's upโ€”"

Eclipse quickly covered his mouth as the others shushed him. They looked back inside the greenhouse to see another Snakeweed growing.

Michelangelo blinked. "Whoa. Creep made aโ€”"

"Son of Snakeweed!" Donatello interrupted.

"That's what I was gonna name it."

Suddenly, the Son of Snakeweed bursted through the roof and out of the greenhouse, knocking the seven teens back. Leonardo, Michelangelo, and Captain Violet went after the new plant mutant as Donatello followed them while Boy Danger, Eclipse, and Raphael went after the Creep.

"Where did these guysโ€” aah!" Donatello ducked underneath one of the new plant mutant's claws. "Come from?"

"They're working together," Michelangelo said. "Just like in Swamp Creature 2: Electric Swampaloo?"

During the fighting, the Creep vanished for a split second, only for it to attack Raphael from behind, which the mutant turtle dodged. Then, the Creep punched him, sending him flying into Donatello.

"Everyone, back to the ShellRaiser." Boy Danger ordered.

Michelangelo threw Donatello onto a nearby fire escape while the others jumped onto it to make their escape.

"Iโ€”I don't understand," Donatello said. "I can't think of anything."

Son of Snakeweed slammed a vine into Leonardo and Captain Violet sliced through it, freeing her brother as the two of them ran up to the others.

"If the Creep is after mutagen, maybe we can bait it into a trap." Michelangelo suggested.

"That's not a bad idea, Mikey." Eclipse commented.

"Yeah, but we gotta use ourselves as bait."

Leonardo's phone started ringing as he landed on a billboard, stopping to answer it. Michelangelo jumped down into an alley with Donatello.

"Mikey, what's going on?" Donatello asked.

"Shellax," Michelangelo responded, shoving his brother behind the dumpster. "Just stay put here, dude. I'll be right back." He ran out of the alley to find the Creep approaching. "Come on, creepy Creep!" The Creep followed him.

"Come on! Come get some!" Raphael shouted as they ran into an alley.

"Over here, swamp creature!"

The four mutant turtles, Boy Danger, and Captain Violet jumped up to the fire escapes above them.

"Kaz, now!"

The ShellRaiser was waiting outside the alley as he revved the engine, tires spinning the mud.

Donatello suddenly jumped in front of the two mutants. "I like French fries!"

"Donnie!"

Boy Danger jumped off the fire escape, tackling the purple masked mutant turtle out of the way just as the ShellRaiser bolted forward, slamming into the Creep and Son of Snakeweed.

The two mutants were knocked back, sending them falling into a car. April had shot balls of garbage at them to keep them down. Gas started leaking from the car and it caught fire and exploded, taking out the two mutants as the others burst into cheers.

"Yeah!"

"Whoo-hoo!"

"You got stir-fried, sons!"

Kaz got out of the ShellRaiser, looking at the fire blazing in front of them. "Guess I better get that learner's permit soon."

"No worries, Kaz," Raphael said. "The ShellRaiser's seen worse."

"It's not the ShellRaiser I'm worried about." Boy Danger commented, looking over at Donatello.

"Wow, look at the fire!" Donatello pushed himself to his feet. "Hey, you guys wanna toast some marshmallows?"

Captain Violet grabbed his arm and dragged him back to the vehicle. "Let's get you home."

THE MOMENT THAT they got back to the lair, Donatello started running all over the place and getting into trouble, leaving Michelangelo, April, Kaz, and Leonardo to chase him around as the others watched. The only one who wasn't with them was Briana as she was currently inside the lab, trying to figure out what was in Donatello's serum that he had been working on when it spilled on him.

Briana had been so focused on the serum that she hadn't realized Michelangelo entering the lab and already moving to join her. It wasn't until Michelangelo had grabbed a beaker of red liquid, gently pouring a few drops into a beaker of purple liquid that she finally realized.

Her eyes widened as Briana leapt to his side, hoping to stop him in time. "Mikey, wait! It's gonnaโ€”" the liquid started glowing and exploded in their faces, as she sighed. "Explode."

๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘

"AND ONE PEPPERONI for flavor." Michelangelo tossed in a single pepperoni to their finished mixture and then grabbed the beaker as the others walked into the lab. He proudly held up the beaker to show them, though flinched back as he was expecting an explosion. "Check it out, guys! Brain juice for Donnie! Mmm, delicious!"

"You're crazy," Leonardo told him. "You don't know what that's going to do to him."

"I know you guys think that Donnie and Bri are the only ones that know science-y stuff, but I pay attention." Michelangelo placed the beaker down on the desk. "Remember that freaky mutant wasp?"

"You passed out halfway through making it," Eclipse reminded. "I had to finish helping Bri finish the rest of it. Still, this is different."

"You know, it'd helped if you remembered what Donnie put in it, Mikey," Briana said, staring down at the solution in front of her. "Cause nothing I do... seems... to be... working!" She finished frustrated, slamming a fist onto the desk.

Then, the liquid started glowing, making her face dropped. "Aw, sewer apples." She said and the others couldn't help but flinched back when the liquid exploded in her face. Without saying a word, she wiped the liquid off her face and glared down at the solution.

Donatello walked into the lab, seeing the mixture and picking it up. "Mm, pizza shake."

"No!"

"Donnie!"

"Put it down!"

"Wait!"

"Stop!"

"Woo-hoo!"

But Donatello had already started drinking the mixture before stopping and coughing as he dropped the beaker. "Donnie?" Henry asked.

"Say something." April added.

However, the mixture that he drank had only made things worse. "MIKEY!" The others yelled.

Suddenly, the lair started shaking, catching everyone's attention. "Earthquake!" Michelangelo shouted.

"What's going on?"

They all ran out into the main room and Raphael jumped up to the platform above, looking through the periscope.

"Guys, I think we made it worse."

Michelangelo jumped up to the platform and took the periscope from his brother. "Whoa! Creep and Snakeweed combined into... Creepweed!"

"This is bad," Leonardo said. "We need Donnie for something like this."

"Unfortunately, someone made him dumber than himself." Raphael commented.

The lair started shaking again as vines started to break in.

"It's like Creepweed is making the city its own giant plant food buffet," Michelangelo said as he and Raphael jumped off the platform. "Just like in Swamp Creature 8: Swamp-Man takes Manhattan!"

Then, the four other mutant turtles and Henry had to take the Party Wagon to stop Creepweed while Briana stayed behind with Kaz and April, hoping to get through to Donatello.

A few seconds later, Briana found herself staring at the solution and the broken beaker that Donatello had dropped after drinking the mixture. "Wait a minute..." she looked down at the ingredients that Michelangelo had used in the mixture before her eyes widened in realization.

"That's it! I got it! Mikey was right!"

๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘

"GET AWAY FROM him, you extinct digtaria sanguinalis!"

Michelangelo blinked at the big, long science-y sounding words that left his brother's mouth. "Donnie?"

"You know what this is?" Donatello asked, a gun in his hand that was hooked up to the canister on his shell. "Retro-mutagen based weed killer! Come get some."

Creepweed roared, lunging at him. Captain Violet, who had her gun in her hand that was hooked up to the canister on her back, quickly fired retro-mutagen at the mutant as Donatello did as well. The plant creature exploded into goo, vines withering and releasing everyone it had captured.

Donatello scooped the remains into a container while Michelangelo tackled him in a hug. "Donnie! You're back!"

"You did it, Mikey!" Captain Violet told him. "It was your antidote that worked."

"It did?" Michelangelo said. "I mean, of course it did."

"Come on, let's get the others before everybody wakes up." Donatello told them.

๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘

ONCE EVERYONE WAS back at the lair, this time the remains of Creepweed were sealed inside of a box and on the trophy self where it belonged.

"Well, this should keep what's left of Creepweed secure."

"It's good to have you back." Eclipse said.

"It's good to be back," Donatello responded. "And thanks for your help, April, Kaz. The ShellRaiser thing was kind of embarrassing, like Mikey-level embarrassing."

"Aw, yeah." Michelangelo blinked, realizing what he said. "Hey!"

Raphael slung an arm around his shoulders. "Can't believe Mikey actually came up with the right antidote."

"Even the nitrates in the pepperoni acted as the perfect reversing agent," Donatello said. "I owe you big time, Mikey. You know, I got to admit, sometimes I can be hard on you and act like you're not as smart as me."

"No worries, bro."

A COUPLE OF minutes went by since everything happened and things were finally calming down, Briana was inside the dojo, practicing some katas. Suddenly, she let out a yelp when she was knocked down onto her back.

"You gotta straightened up your form a bit more."

Briana blinked as she found her brothers and sister staring down at her with smirks. "Is that why you tripped me?" She questioned.

"To be fair, I wouldn't have been able to do it if your form was a bit more straightened." Leonardo said, holding his hand out to her that she gladly took as he pulled her up.

"Not that I'm complaining, but..." Briana faced them with a confused look on her face. "What's up with the martial art tip?"

"Isn't that our job? Show our baby sister the ropes?" Raphael questioned, a small smirk on his face.

Briana couldn't help but smile softly at them. "Alright," she said. "Let's do this."

A comfortable silence fills the dojo as the seven teens started sparring against the other. It wasn't until Briana noticed the looks that were being exchanged between her siblings or until Leonardo cleared his throat that the sparring came to a pause.

"You were right."

Briana blinked, feeling even more confused than she was before. "Um, about what? Cause I have no idea what you're talking about."

"When you said that we're scared of something."

Briana frowned slightly, the memory of the little argument coming back to her as she remembered her wordsโ€” how she wanted to know just what it was that was making them so overprotective and scared as if she didn't know how to defend herself all of a sudden.

"It was an argument," Briana stated. "You guys don't have to tell me."

"No, you're right," Henry added. "You should know what it isโ€” what we saw."

Briana could feel herself only grow confused, trying to piece it together in her head about what Renet's staff could've showed them that made them so scared. "So, Renet's staff did show you guys something?" Briana questioned. "What was it?"

For a split second, there was a hint of hesitation in the air, as if they weren't sure if this was the best decision, but they knew that she deserved to know why they've been acting differently lately, especially since she happens to know them so well that she could easily see through their little act of pretending.

"It showed us the future."

"The future?" Briana asked. "Her staff can do that?"

"Apparently," Eclipse answered honestly. "Renet said that it wasn't supposed to show us though."

"Why did it then?"

"She doesn't know. Look, Bri, we're sorry we didn't tell you this sooner, but..." Leonardo started before he paused for a second and continued. "We saw someone killed youโ€” we don't know who, it was some woman and Renet say that she couldn't tell us."

"I was there," Raphael added. "At least, a future version of me. I was the only one there and..." he paused for a second as if the memory was flashing right before his eyes. "I couldn't get to you in time."

Briana didn't say anything for a while as she let their words sink in. This whole time, she knew that they were scared of something, given their sudden overprotectiveness but she had no idea that it was because... she didn't let the thoughts finish in her head.

How could she not have known that it had to do with her? That the reason why they've were scared and acting so overprotective was because... she was going to die in the future?

And that there wasn't anything they could do to save her.

"Little Prankster?" Michelangelo asked softly when she didn't response.

"That's why you guys have been scared or so overprotective," Briana said softly. "Because I die?"

When they nodded, Briana felt a wave of realization washed over her as she kept going. "That's why you guys got mad at me for sneaking into Shredder's lair without telling you guys to rescue Axel," she said. "Because of what you saw."

Donatello nodded. "Yeah, that's why."

"How long?"

"How long what, Little Genius?"

"How long until it happens," Briana answers quietly. "Or when does it happen?"

"It's not going to happen!" Henry quickly disagree. "We're not going to let it happen."

"Look, Renet said that it was one possibility of the future, okay?" Eclipse told her. "But it's not going to happen."

"Yeah, we won't let it, baby sis," Michelangelo reassured her as there was nothing but a strong determination in his baby blue eyes. "You know we'll keep you safe."

Briana just nodded at his words and although she could see the determination to follow through on his words of keeping her safe, she didn't know why but for some reason, she couldn't help but feel like it wouldn't go as they planned.

It was as if she could almost feel it coming.

It was as if deep down, a part of her already knew what was coming to herโ€” that her death was coming to her.

As if she could feel death and destruction all around her, hiding in the darkest parts of her mind.

"So, a lot happened here as you can tell, but that's not even the half of it. But it's not a good story if I tell you what happens now, is it?"
