So, the idea of this new concept that I'm exploring with Piper belongs to GeekyCookie1 as she was the one that came up with it.

Enjoy!

"Okay, so remember those disgusting brain worms that I told you about? Well, let's just said that me, Raph, Slash, and Rockwell aren't the only victims to it. Unfortunately, Karai was a victim to those brain worms too. But first, this happened..."

HENRY DIDN'T REALIZE how bad he had been panicking when the call had suddenly ended. He tried calling his sister back but there was no response and it made him panic even more. At first, all he felt was worry and fear but the moment that he had heard David's voice come through the phone, it turned into a boiling pot of anger. Now, it was a mixture of worry, fear, and anger.

The last thing he wanted was for something bad to happen to Piper, his little sisterโ€” the very one that he had raised himself his entire life and then, it would end up being his fault since he was the one that David really wanted.

What made him panic even more was that when he had heard the soft whisper from Piper during the call when he had answered, he knew it meant that she was scared. She only ever used a soft tone like that when she was either scared or nervous, he knew that.

He knew that about her because he was the one that would give her comfort late at night when she had a nightmare or if she couldn't fall asleep during a really bad storm.

Everything about his little sister, he was the one that knew her best. It wasn't his parents, not when he had to leave them a note about how Piper liked it better when the crust on her sandwiches were cut, her sandwiches cut into triangles, or how Piper preferred tofu over tuna.

It was all him.

So, the fact that she was in danger and he wasn't home to protect her, it made him panic and all he wanted to do was run to his house to keep her safe.

"Iโ€”Iโ€”" Henry panicked, his mind racing with thoughts of what could been happening as he shoved his T-Phone into his pocket. "I gottaโ€”"

"Henryโ€”" Michelangelo tried to start but Henry's panicking didn't let him hear him.

"Piperโ€” Davidโ€” oh, godโ€”"

"Henry," Eclipse said, gently grabbing onto his hand to snap him out of his thoughts as she squeezed it reassuringly. "We'll get her and your mom out of there safety. It'd be okay."

"We can take the ShellRaiser to get there faster." Briana added.

"And I'll call Daniel to tell him to meet us there." Donatello said, taking out his T-Phone.

"Alright, team," Leonardo said. "Let's go."

๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘

THE MOMENT THAT Daniel got the call, he knew what it was about in his gut. He knew that his brother had decided to show himself and strikeโ€” that his brother was going to force Henry to come to him rather than go to him. Before the invasion, he'd admit that it was easier for him to find where his brother was hiding but after the invasion, he had no idea where his brother had been hiding and had been struggling to find him since.

So, when Donatello called him to tell him what happened, Daniel didn't waste a single minute and took off running in hopes of stopping his brother before something bad happened.

He knew that David didn't plan on hurting Kris or Piper since they weren't his targets but ever since their parentsโ€” his sister-in-law, who had just happened to have been pregnant with David's third child, died in the house fire that killed a lot of members of their pack and since then, his brother could be... unpredictable at times.

Daniel didn't hesitate to force the front door opened once he arrived and found both Kris and Piper sitting on the couch, unharmed while Kris kept an arm wrapped around Piper to keep her close to her. His brother, on the other hand, was standing in front of the couch with his eyes glowing red and Daniel knew that it was because David was showing off his role as alphaโ€” that if Kris or Piper tried anything, nothing they do would hurt him.

"Well, if it isn't my big brother," David said with a smirk. "Let me guess, was it my nephew that called you or someone from his pack?"

Daniel narrowed his eyes at him. "It's none of your business, David." He pointed at Kris and Piper. "They, on the other hand, have nothing to do with this. Let them go."

David rolled his eyes at his brother. "Relax, would you, big brother? I don't care about them. I just need them as bait to get my nephewโ€” your son to come see me, especially since you still haven't introduced me to my nephew yet."

"You know damn why I haven't."

"Again, relax, would you? Don't stress so much, geez," David said, chuckling lowly. "Do you want to get wrinkles or grey hairs? I just wanna chat with the kid and maybe see if I should be worried. I mean, you did tell the kid about what his wolf is, right?"

When Daniel didn't answer, David couldn't help but groaned in annoyance. "Of course you didn't. You know, this whole you keeping the important stuff from him is gonna cause a whole lot of trouble, right? Besides, I'm not even the one who you should really be worried about."

"That pack doesn't knowโ€”" Daniel started but got cut off by his brother's scoff.

"Know what, Daniel? That there's not another one here? Maybe now at first, they didn't but after that night, they do now, big brother," David told him seriously. "Ever since Henry howled that night, they know and just because our father refused to join them, do you really think that he won't try to force Henry to join them? I mean, Henry's wolf is just like father's and he wants perfection in his pack, which means adding the rarest shapeshifter he can find."

"But we can talk about it later since I'm sure it'd come up again," David moved his gaze away from his brother and glanced down at Piper as he smirked. "It seems that Henry isn't the only one that's something here."

"Leave her out of this, David," Daniel said seriously, not seeming to notice how Kris tensed slightly at David's words as he was more focused on his brother at the moment. "She's a twelve-year-old girlโ€”"

"For god's sake, Daniel, use your eyes and look at her," David interrupted impatiently as he rolled his eyes. "And then, you'll see what I mean."

Daniel furrowed his eyebrows in confusion a bit but as he allowed his eyes to start glowing yellow, he looked towards Piper and not only was he surprised, but he couldn't help but look confused as well. His wolf's vision allowed him to see an orange aura in the form of a fox around Piper's body.

'A fox Kitsune?' Daniel thought secretly to himself. 'How is that...? Last time I checked, Kris isn't one and I doubt Jack is. So, how is Piper one?'

"There you go, now you see what I meant," David bent down a little and glanced over at Kris, smirking a little. "Someone here has a fox Kitsune for a daughter, which should be impossible since Kris here isn't one herself so... how would that be possible?"

"Mom?" Piper asked quietly, looking up at the older woman. "What's a fox Kitsune?"

But Kris didn't answer as she just glared at David, not finding it in her to answer. After what happened with Henry finding out about Daniel being his actual biological father instead of Jack, the last thing she wanted was for another secret of hers to come out into the open. David, on the other hand, felt his smirk grow tenfold as his ears pricked at the sound of Kris's heartbeat quickening, making it obviously known to him that she was hiding something and yet, he couldn't help but wonder...

What else is she hiding?

"Kris, take Piper upstairs. I'll deal with my brother here," Daniel said, not wanting either one of the two around just in case things had to get messy. When the older woman didn't move and continued to glare at his brother, he narrowed his eyes at her. "Now, Kris."

At his tone, Kris stood up as she made sure to keep Piper in front of her before making their way towards the stairs and up them. Once they were out of sight, Daniel couldn't help but sigh in annoyance at his brother.

"Do you always have to get involved in other people's lives?" Daniel questioned.

"It's not my fault if she's the one who wants to keep secrets in her own family. If she wants to keep them then, she should know that they'll come out into the open at some point," David told him with a shrug, standing up straighter. "Besides, aren't you doing the same thing by telling Henry who you really were to him?"

"That's different and you know it," Daniel said sternly. "Henry is one of us. He was gonna need me to help at some point."

"A shapeshifter learning control in his teenage years. How's that training going?" David questioned, a small amused smirk on his face. "You do realize that it's easier for our kind to learn control the moment we start walking, right? The kid's already way behind."

"He'll get there, David," Daniel said. "He has help."

"Are you talking about yourself or his pack?"

"Both."

The two brothers stared the other down, waiting for one of them to said what they really wanted to said. David waited a few seconds before he spoke up.

"You know, the Argents are already here, don't you?"

Daniel gave another sigh. "I had a feeling they'd come, especially after the kraang invasion."

"The Argents won't stop till our kind, mutants, or inhumansโ€” anything or anyone that's considered different from humankindโ€” even if they're human is wiped out," David said, his tone growing serious as he clenched his fists. "You know what they did."

"We're not killers, David."

"How can you be so sure?" David questioned with a scoff. "Last time I checked, we're shapeshiftersโ€” wolves. Predators, Daniel. We hunt and kill. It's our nature."

"Remember what father and mother told us?" Daniel reminded. "We might be predators, but we're not killers. We don't kill, David. We protect."

"The Argents have killed thousands of us! They killed our parentsโ€” our pack! My..." David snapped before he paused, closing his eyes for a second and then reopened them. "My wife and my baby girl in that damn house fire that Kimberly Argent started it! After everything they took from us, how are you defending them!?"

"I'm not defending them, David!" Daniel argued. "I'm just saying, there's a better way to deal with them than kill themโ€” than become the killers that they or any other hunters are."

"Is that what you'll tell Henry? When that little friend of his betrays him and tells her family?" David questioned angrily.

"Howโ€”"

"What, did you think that Derek and Scott wouldn't tell me who his friends after I enrolled them into the same school as him?" David retorted. "Calista Diaz, Daniel. Her family are hunters too. He can't trust her, and you know it. It's only a matter of time before she betrays him."

"And if she doesn't?" Daniel questioned.

David scoffed. "It's in her blood, Daniel. She will. So, tell me, when she's responsible for Henry losing everyone he cares about? When she betrays him, will you still tell him the same thing? To find another way to get justice served? The only justice that hunters like the Argents or the Diazs deserve is death."

"My son's not a killer, David."

"Maybe not right now, but one day," David said. "He won't have a choice, Daniel. One day, if he wants to surviveโ€” if he wants his pack to survive, the kid is gonna have to get his hands dirty with blood and do it. Sometimes, we don't have a choice. Sometimes killing is the only option we might have one day."

"You're better than this, David," Daniel said. "Don't drag Henry into it just because you're threatened he might take your power as alpha."

"Oh, big brother, you really don't know me that well, do you?" David asked. "I'm only threatened because if I want to get what I really wanted, I need my power as the alpha. I don't need your kid taking it from me before I get what I want."

"To kill the Argents?"

"It's a suicide to go after them as an ordinary shapeshifter, like you are right now," David said. "Or even without a strong pack. If I have to kill Henry to keep my power so I can get what I really want, I'll do it. Nothing is going to stop me from killing the Argents or any other hunter that threatens the pack, Daniel. So, if you won't help me kill them then at the moment, you're against me, big brother."

Daniel frowned lightly. "Don't do this, David."

"I'm done letting the Argents get away with what they did," David said sharply, glaring at him. "Now, get out of my way, big brother."

"You know I can't do that."

"Right. Okay, yeah, sure."

With his eyes still glowing red, David let his teeth grow sharper while his fingernails turned into claws before turning his head away from his brother.

"Davidโ€”"

Daniel doesn't get to finish his sentence before David faces him again, slamming him against the wall as he held him there. "You know, I don't actually want to fight you, big brother," David said. "But I will if you won't get out of my way."

Daniel closed for his eyes for a second, reopening them as they started glowing yellow while his teeth grew sharper and his fingernails turned into claws. Then, Daniel grabbed his brother by the collar of his shirt and turned them around, slamming him against the wall.

"And you know that I won't let you go after my son." Daniel told him.

David couldn't help but laugh, a smirk growing onto his face. "Daniel, you know that I'm stronger than you. After all... I'm the alpha."

David kneed his brother in the stomach, forcing Daniel to let him go as he stumbled back. Before Daniel could have a chance to recovered, David threw a fist into his brother's jaw before grabbing his brother by the collar of his shirt and throwing him at the wall, as Daniel fell to the ground after hitting the wall. Daniel growled before pushing himself back onto his feet and charging at his younger brother, throwing David at the wall in return as he fell to the ground after hitting it.

Then, once David had stood up and charged at his brother again, the two Hale brothers threw punches and kicks at the other as well as using their claws or sharp teeth to attack the other, but the scars from their claws or teeth didn't last as the scars ended up healing eventuallyโ€” as if they were never there in the first place.

David grabbed his brother by the collar of his shirt, lifted him up onto his feet, and raised a fist but he never got to punch him because before he could, a fist was thrown into David's jaw, knocking him off course as the older man released his brother and stumbled back.

Only, it wasn't Daniel who punched him this time.

A animalistic growl left Henry's lips as his eyes glowed yellow and his fingernails had already been turned into his claws. As the animalistic growl had left his lips, he snarled his sharp teeth at the man while glaring at him with an intense look on his face, as if it was daring David to try something else.

Although he knew that Henry hadn't discovered what his wolf actually is, David could feel it coming off of his nephew. Despite being an alpha himself, he could feel the wolf inside of him struggling to stay standing on its ownโ€” fighting back the instinct to lower its head to Henry's wolf. Then, David took a second to glance at the five mutant turtles and purple haired teenage girl that stood beside his nephew, studying their appearances before his eyes focused on the blue masked mutant turtle and golden masked mutant turtle, smirking as his wolf came to the realization of who those two specifically were to his nephew's wolf.

'So, they're the kid's Luna and Beta.' David thought secretly to himself.

"Well, this is one hell of a family reunion, isn't it? You know, he does look a lot like you, big brother." David commented, only earning another animalistic growl from Henry.

"Henry, your mother and sister are fine. They're upstairs, everything's fine," Daniel told his son, but the only response he got was another animalistic growl.

David realized what was happening before his brother did as he smirked. "Oh, this isn't Henry right now, big brother."

Daniel realized what it meant before he cursed. "Ah, damn it." He looked over at the mutant turtles and Briana. "You kids are gonna wait to back up."

"Uh, why?" Raphael questioned.

"Because like my brother said, this isn't Henry. It's his wolf," Daniel explained. "And there's about to be a wolf fight."

๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘

TO ANYBODY WALKING outside of the Hart household, if there was anyone around, that wasโ€” then, everything would've looked normal and peacefulโ€” that there wasn't anything going on at that very moment. But then, David was thrown out the window, glass shattering to the ground as he rolled on the ground before coming to a stop, staring up at the night sky.

"Okay, I should've saw that coming." David muttered to himself, pushing himself back onto his feet.

Right when David stood up, Henry stepped out as the glass crunched beneath his shoes, his yellow eyes glowed dangerously with a hint of rage in them as he snarled his sharp teeth at the man that was his uncle.

"You came after the mother and the sister," Henry's wolf said, in control of the teenaged boy. "You're gonna pay for that now."

"Maybe I am, but," David commented, letting a small sly smirk come onto his face. "It got you to come to me, didn't it?"

Henry's wolf gave a warning growl, letting the teenaged boy's fingernails turn into claws. "I'm gonna make you wish you didn't do this."

"You know, as fun as an uncle versus nephew fight would be," David questioned, not dropping the smirk on his face. "You didn't think I came alone, did you?"

As if it was on cue, both Derek and Scott walked out from the alley and moved to stand beside their father while Henry's wolf took the chance to study their appearances.

Derek was a tall, teenage boy with a lean, muscular build to him. He has blonde hair that is slightly curly, hazel-brown eyes, and was wearing a white v-neck shirt, a pair of designer jeans, a black leather jacket over his shirt, and boots.

Scott, on the other hand, wasn't as tall as his brother and was at a medium-height with a lean, muscular build as well. Unlike his brother who looks more like their father, Scott is the opposite since he has olive skin, curly dark brown hair, and brown eyes. He was wearing a short-sleeve gray t-shirt, a jean jacket over it, black denim jeans, and gray sneakers.

At the same time, Derek and Scott let their own eyes start glowing yellow as their own teeth grew sharper while their fingernails also turned into claws.

"Since I know you're in there, kid, meet your cousins," David said. "You sure you still want to have a go?"

Henry's wolf, however, wasn't impressed. "This doesn't seem like a fair fight."

"Sounds like a shame. What, are you afraid?"

"No." Henry's wolf lifted his left hand and punched the street, leaving a large crack in it. "I meant for them."

Derek was the first one to run at him, only for Henry's wolf to effortlessly flung him across the street, slamming him into the wall behind David and Scott. Then, Scott went next and lifted his claws, going to scratch at his chest but Henry's wolf grabbed them before they could touch him, twisted Scott's arms and forced his body to face the other way, and then kicked him to the hard concrete street.

Derek rushed at him, pushing him against the car that was behind him. Henry's wolf growled and snarled its teeth at him, nearly smirking when he saw Derek almost let out a small wince at feeling his power roll off him. Then, Henry's wolf used his claws to scratch Derek's right side, forcing him to let go of him, giving Henry's wolf the chance to slam a fist into his jaw before once again, effortlessly flinging Derek across the street again.

Henry's wolf walked over to where Scott laid, grabbed him by the collar of his shirt, and lifted him up before flinging him across the street as well. "I told you," his wolf said. "It wasn't fair to them."

"Maybe, but let's see how you can go up against an alpha," David said. With his eyes glowing red, he started to walk towards his nephew.

Henry's wolf ducked and spun to the left, avoiding the punch that David threw at him. He leapt and landed behind him before kicking the man's back hard, sending him falling into the car. David spun around and managed to kneed him in the stomach, making him stumble back. But when David went to punch his face, Henry's wolf caught his fist and used his claws to scratch his left side before slamming a fist into the older man's jaw.

As David stumbled back from the punch, Henry's wolf leapt back to put some distance between them. Once David had recovered from the punch, he was about to charge again when he was pulled and David turned his head over his shoulder to glare at his brother.

"I already told you," David said sharply, this time he was the one that snarled his teeth at him. "Get out of my way."

In return, Daniel didn't hesitate to snarled his teeth right back at him. "That's enough, David," he said seriously. "This fight will get us exposed and then, the Argents will find us a whole lot faster. Is that what you want? To put your own sons in danger with them? You're right, they're responsible for you losing your wife and unborn child, but are you willing to lose your sons because of this fight?"

David growled as he glared at him for a few seconds more before moving his gaze over to his sons, who had both pushed themselves onto their feet and began to make their way over. His glare vanished as he gave out a small sigh, yanking his arm free from his brother.

"Fine, we'll go, but," David said as he looked over at his nephew, whose eyes had not gone back to their natural hazel-brown eyes yet. "Something tells me we'll see each other more often. Until next time, Henry."

And with that, David allowed his eyes to stop glowing red and returned back to their natural color while his teeth and claws retracted back to normal. Then, he motioned for his sons to follow as he began walking away from his brother and nephew. Scott was the first one to follow his father quickly but as Derek walked past, he purposefully bumped his shoulder into Henry's, sending the boy a smug smirk before walking away.

Henry's wolf growled and took one step forward but Daniel grabbed his arm to stop him from moving forward. "Henry, kid, I know you're in there, so listen to me," he said. "I need you to calm down and take deep breaths. Find your anchor and focus on turning back to normal."

At first, Henry's wolf tried to fight backโ€” to stay in control as the wolf didn't feel like switching back just yet, the urge to teach David a lesson for going after Kris and Piper was still there, but at the same time, Henry himself fought back harder, refusing to let his wolf win. He closed his eyes and took deep breaths, allowing his mind to drift off as his ears pricked at the steady heartbeat that belonged to his girlfriend. The more he let his mind focused on her, memories of him with Eclipse flashed before his eyes and in the meanwhile, his teeth and claws had returned to normal. Lastly, Henry opened his eyes to show that the yellow gone was gone and now back to their natural eye color.

"Welcome back, kid," Daniel said, a soft smile on his face as he released his arm. "You feeling alright?"

Henry went to answer the question but then, another voice stopped him from doing so.

"Henry?"

The father-and-son duo turned their heads to see Jack standing by the driver door of his car, having just gotten home. The man's eyes stared between the two before landing on the large crack in the street.

"What the hell happened here?"

๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘

IF IT WAS up to Henry, he never would've brought Jack and Kris to the lair, not when the lair wasโ€” is his home. Growing up, the lair has always been his go-to place to get away from his parents and their fightingโ€” their broken marriage, so the fact that not only were Jack and Kris at the lair but knew where it was now, Henry didn't like it. If anything, he hated it, but after what just happened and with his parents finding out about the turtles, he knew that there wasn't a choice and that Splinter had to be made aware of the situation as well, which is why he didn't argue on the plan.

It's been a few minutes since everything happened and they all arrived back at the lair, Henry somehow found himself in the kitchen alone, sitting at the table while his mind was filled with thoughts.

"So, this is where you've been staying the whole time after... after that night."

Henry turned his head over his shoulder to see Jack standing at the entrance of the kitchen. He didn't answer at first and watched as Jack slowly stepped in, moving towards the edge of the table.

Henry gave a small nod, remembering the words that had left the man's lips. "Yeah," he said softly. "Figured it was better than to stay at home just to be a reminder of..." he didn't finish his sentence.

He didn't need to.

They both knew he was talking about Kris's affair with Daniel.

An awkward silence grew between the two and Henry pulled his gaze away from the man, looking down at the table while he waited for the man that he thought was his father for his entire life to walk awayโ€” to leave the kitchen without another word. But instead, a small sigh left the man's lips as he cleared his throat.

"You know, when you were a kid," Jack started, getting Henry's attention as he looked up at him. "I'd come home exhausted after a long day of work and even though it was my job to do it, I was too tired to cook or to clean, but I never had too because it was already done-- by you. So instead, I'd just sit on the couch to rest and then, you'd come up to me, put your hand on my shoulder, and you'd look me right in the eyes... and you'd say to me, 'it's okay, dad. I got it from here.'" Jack paused for a second before he added. "Henry... I'm sorry."

Henry stared up at him, confusion washing over him as he furrowed his eyebrows. "Why... why are you apologizing?"

"Because you shouldn't have to say that to me, I should've been saying that to you," Jack told him, a hint of guilt in his eyes. "You know, I know that your mother and I... we put too much on your shoulders. We made you grow up too fast. Not only did you make dinner, clean the house-- everything we, as your parents, should've done, but you also took care of Piper. You took care of your mother. You took care of me. You did that, and you didn't complainโ€” not once. And even though you might not be my... my son by blood, I just want you to know... that I am so proud of you."

The moment he heard that, Henry could feel his body shaking from those words as he bit the bottom half of his lip. He clenched his fists to try to get them to stop shaking but it didn't work as Henry blinked, refusing to let his eyes grow watery with tears.

Not once in his life did Henry ever hear those words from his parents.

For his whole life, Henry was the man of the house, even during the times where he should've been just a kid. But it wasn't like that for him because rather than being a kid, he grew up way before he was supposed to-- all so he could play the role of not just the big brother, but the role of a father and a mother in order to give Piper, his little sister, the chance to be a kid that neither Jack or Kris gave him. It also happened to be that Jack was right as well, because not once in his life did Henry ever complain about doing it.

He did all of it-- raising Piper himself or taking care of his parents without a single damn complaint.

And to him, it was worth it if it meant that his little sister didn't have to go through what he did and got the chance to just be a kid-- that Piper didn't have to witness their parents fighting or how broken their marriage really was, because she was protected from witnessing it.

Because Henry protected her from it, never once letting her see their parents the way he did.

Because Henry protected his little sister from the things that nobody protected him from.

"And... and you shouldn't have to worry about your mother and I, or how I feel," Jack continued. "If you're readyโ€” or whenever you're ready, you can come home again."

Henry didn't answer as he let those words replay in his head again. He knows he should go home againโ€” to be with his parents and his little sister again, but... how was he supposed to when it didn't even feel like home? The one place where he's ever felt like he could home was the lair, not some house where it was just him and Piper on their own while their parents were too busy with their own schedules.

But at the same time, he couldn't leave Piper on her own to deal with them. He just couldn'tโ€” he had to be there to make sure that she was okayโ€” that she was happyโ€” that she was protected.

After all, it was his job to do so.

"I, uh... I'll think about it." Henry whispered, tearing his gaze away from the older man to glance down at the table in order to hold his watery eyes.

Jack nodded and Henry didn't look back up, even as he heard Jack's footsteps move away from him and out of the kitchen. He kept his eyes on the table, blinking as fast as he could to keep the tears from falling while Jack's words continued to sink in.

Then, another pair of footsteps reached his ears as they pricked again, but Henry didn't need to look up to know who it was.

He already knew who it was.

No words needed to be said as her arms wrapped around him, hugging him and holding him close to her as Eclipse whispered into his ear. "It's okay, Hen. You're not alone, I'm here."

And Henry let her hold him and as he squeezed his eyes shut, a single tear rolled down his face.

๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘

THREE WEEKS HAD passed since the fight between David and Henry and the older man hadn't been seen since, asides from the fact that the only other times where Henry's seen him is when the man picks up Derek and Scott from school, who make it quite known that they're watching him and his friendsโ€” him specifically. Though as much as Henry wanted too, he did his best to ignore the two as he refused to let them get the best of him.

At the very moment, both Henry and Leonardo were in the dojo, facing Splinter with wooden swords in their hands. Their swords clashed as they swung. Leonardo ducked underneath Splinter's sword and locked the weapons together, pushing him back and giving him and Henry the advantage. Henry lifted his sword but hesitated when seeing the pained look on his face, lowering the sword.

"You had me at a disadvantage, but did not attack," Splinter said. "Why?"

"No reason, sensei." Henry responded.

"Then stop holding back and attack."

Henry and Leonardo shared a look before running at Splinter, resuming the sparring again. As they moved past the doors of the dojo, Raphael, Eclipse, Donatello, and Briana were watching them from behind the doors.

"Sup, my ninjas? Any of you guys seen my stuffed iguana?" Michelangelo asked.

"Shh!" Raphael, Eclipse, and Donatello hissed.

"The one with the top hat."

"Shh!"

"Hmm, my ninja sense are saying, you want me to be quiet." Michelangelo said.

Raphael growled and smacked the back of his head.

"Ow!"

Eclipse was unfazed by it as her emerald green eyes were still on the sparring match. "They're really going at it."

"Sensei still hasn't fully recovered." Briana stated.

"Slash messed him up pretty bad," Raphael said in agreement. "It's gonna be a while before he gets all his strength back."

Michelangelo suddenly squealed. "Found him! Go, ninja, go, ninja, go!"

"SHHH!" The other three mutant turtles shushed aggressively while Briana kept her eyes on the scene in front of them.

Splinter's injuries flared up, giving Leonardo a chance to kick him back and knock the sword from his hand, ending the fight.

"You succeeded, both of you. You make an excellent team."

"Only because you're still recovering, sensei." Leonardo responded.

"Very true." Splinter took in a breath, closing his eyes and putting his hands together. "Rin." He moved his hands as he spoke. "Toh. Sha. Kai." He rested his hands on his injured leg. "Jin. Retsu. Zai. Zen."

"Master Splinter?" Leonardo asked. "What did you just do?"

"And how did you do that?" Henry added.

"It is an ancient technique known as the healing hands. It is what I used on Briana to get the mutagen out of her," Splinter responded, kneeing. "Would you like to know its secrets?"

Both Henry and Leonardo exchanged looks before kneeling down in front of him, nodding.

"Together with me." Splinter started the mantra, Leonardo and Henry copying his gestures. "Rin. Pyo. Toh. Sha." The two of them added their voices to his. "Rin. Pyo. Toh."

"AFTER THE WHOLE kraang invasion, you'd think things would go back to normal," Zane said with a sigh, walking out of the movie theater with Casey. "Well, whatever normal is at this point."

Casey popped out from behind the ticket booth, making him scream.

"Casey!"

"The Six Deadly Poisons was cool, but I would have smashed that scorpion dude in one hit." Casey started moving around, doing a few punches and kicks.

Zane raised an eyebrow as he watched him, crossing his arms over his chest. "And then yesterday, my head fell off my neck. And now, I can't find my head, so I have to walk around with no head." He gave a small sigh at Casey, who didn't acknowledge his words. "Not listening to a single word."

"You wanna know what my favorite part of the movie was?" Casey asked.

"Let me guess," Zane responded, a small smirk on his face as Casey grabbed his bike. "The non-stop violence? All of the fight scenes?"

"It was the way the hero never gave up. Even against all the odds." Casey got on his bike before turning his head over his shoulder, sending Zane a flirtatious smirk. "Good luck finding your head, Zaney. I'm sure it'll turn up." He pedaled off.

Zane stood there for a few seconds, watching until Casey's silhouette vanished from view. He swears that he could feel his heartbeat racing in his chest from the use of Casey's nickname for him as he bit the bottom half of his lip, his cheeks turning a light shade of pink.

"Damn it, Jones," Zane mumbled to himself, yet there was a small smile on his face. "You and your words." And with that, he turned and began to head back to his place, unaware of what lies ahead.

๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘

THE SOUND OF rushed footsteps made Henry's ears pricked as he looked over to the turnstiles to find Kirby running, a panicked expression on his face.

"Help! Turtles! Henry! Briana!"

"Kirby?" Leonardo questioned.

The seven teens rushed over as Kirby lowered an unconscious April to the floor. "Snakebite," he explained. "Please. Help me."

"Guys, quick." Donatello pushed them back. "Give her some space."

"She's gonna be okay, right, D?" Michelangelo asked.

Donatello grabbed April's arm, looking over the snakebite. "Oh, no."

๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘

"SO, HOW WAS your date with Zane?" Casey couldn't help but rolled his eyes at the teasing tone that Kaz's voice held, even through the other side of the call. It was like he could just picture the smirk on his face.

"It wasn't a date." Casey said, though he couldn't help but feel his heart skipped a beat at the thought of going on a date with Zane.

"It was just you and Zane at the theater, watching a movie." Kaz said. "Sounds like a date to me."

"It wouldn't have been just the two of us if someone had come along."

"And act as a third-wheel? Yeah, no thanks. Besides, don't act like you're not happy about spending some time with just Zane. And because of how well I know you, I know you paid for the popcorn and the drinks, didn't you?"

"I don't know what you're talking about."

"Uh huh, sure. You denying it just proves I'm right, Jones. Plus, it would've been just you and Zane anyways since Kyle had a basketball game today, Mara and Calista had band practice, April was spending time with her dad, and Bri and Hen had training with the others," Kaz said. "So, thanks to us, you got to hang out with the person you really wanted to, so again, how was your date with Zane?"

Once again, Casey couldn't help but roll his eyes yet there was a small smile on his face, clearly not bothered by the question. "It was great."

"Just great?"

Casey could just imagine the smirk on his face that Kaz probably had on his face, but smirking a little himself.

"I mean, if you want to hear about how Zane and I made-outโ€”"

"Okay, one, stop talking. That's gross. God, if I was there, I'd smack you for saying that. And two, I know for a fact that's not true so, keep those little thoughts to yourself."

Casey gave a small laugh. "You asked!"

"About your date and the movie, dumbass." Kaz retorted. "Judging by the fact that you're laughing and that you got jokes, I'm assuming it went well."

"It did," Casey answered. "How did Kyle's basketball game go? Did they win?"

"Yeah, they won. Kyle made the winning shot so, he's pretty excited about that," Kaz said before he added jokingly. "I am wishing that the little brat would hurry up and grab his stuff so, we can start heading back."

"Tell him I say congrats on the win."

"I will. I'll talk to you later. I gotta go drag Kyle to get him home before my mom gets home from work."

"Alright."

However, right when the call ended, Foot Bots dropped down around Casey, causing him to come to a stop in his pedaling. "What the what? Foot Bots!" He turned the bike around, kicking off one of the robots and pedaling away, the Foot Bots following. "Better warn the others." He pressed a button on his bike, sending a signal to the five mutant turtles, Henry, and Briana.

The Foot Bots dropped down in front of him and he flopped down his mask, activating the weapon at the front of his bike and shooting small balls at the bots, electrocuting them and causing an explosion. Casey drove right through the smoke, turning out onto the street.

"Whoo-hoo-hoo-hoo!" He noticed a bot running toward him and pulled a lever, lifting the sharp and jagged piece of trash can on the front of his bike. He hit the curb, sending the bike into the air as the bot jumped at him. "Goongalaaaaaa!"

The bike landed back on the road and Casey stopped it, looking back at the bot as its arms fell off. He pressed a button, releasing a rocket that shot up and down, landing among the Foot Bots and exploding them.

Casey laughed. "Aw, yeah, you better robo-check yourselves before you wreck yourselves, son!" He started pedaling again.

Suddenly, a foot suddenly slammed into Casey, knocking him off the bike. He rolled to a stop on the pavement and pushed himself up, looking up at who'd hit him, only to find Karai smirking down at him.

"Ugh. Karai, right?" Casey pushed himself onto his feet. "We never really met. I like what I'm seeing, though. You got a sweet style."

"Oh?" Karai questioned. "Do you like this?" She launched herself at the boy, aiming kicks at him and knocking him back.

"I thought you were one of the good guys," Casey complained. "I don't want to hurt you."

"But I want to hurt you." Karai retorted, pulling out her tanto. "Slowly. Painfully." She ran at Casey, swinging at him.

Casey grabbed his stick, blocking her blade. He aimed jabs at her, forcing her back, and then knocking her off before her feet. Before she could hit the ground, he caught her.

"I don't want to fight you, but I gotta admit, you got some skills." Casey commented.

Karai smiled slyly at him. "You're not so bad yourself, Jones."

"I got more surprises for you, sweetheart."

"So do I."

She flipped out of his arms, landing on her feet. Her arms shifted into snakes and lashed out at Casey, trying to bite him and forcing him to retreat as she pursed him. He lifted his stick, blocking the snakes as he was forced back into an alleyway. He jumped over Karai, trapping her between him and his stick.

"It's over, Karai." He said firmly.

"It's not over until I say it is!" She retorted.

Karai stomped on his foot, making him yell in pain and stumble back. She whipped around with a hiss, wrapping one of her snake arms around him and pulling him to her. Suddenly, she leaned down and kissed him, releasing him a moment later.

"You know, that little boyfriend of yours might be gay, but he's not that bad of a kisser either," Karai stated, a sly smirk on her face.

"Boyfriend...?" Casey questioned dazed, stumbling back. Realization then hit him in the face. "Wait... Zane?" He started coughing. "Why are my lips numb?" While coughing, he fell onto the ground.

"The numbness is one of the effects of my venom," Karai stated smugly. "Some go faster than others. First: weakness. Then: paralysis. Then: blackout. You're the third. I have three more targets and then, I'm going to poison the turtles, and capture Henry Hart and Princess Briana. One. By. One." She placed a foot on his shoulder and pushed him over, turning to walk away and leaving him sprawled on the floor of the alley.

๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘

"SERIOUSLY, HOW AWESOME was my shot? We won!" Kyle babbled excitedly, a wide grin on his face. He was walking backwards in front of his brother in order to face him. "Were you able to record the game, like mom asked?"

Kaz rolled his eyes at the tenth time his brother had asked him, yet he couldn't fight the faint smile from his brother's happiness. "Yes, Kyle, I got it, don't worry."

Kyle grinned widely at those words, his sports bag hanging over his left shoulder. Then, Kaz came to a sudden halt, having swore that he heard a thud from behind him and spun around to find Foot Bots standing behind him.

"Aw, crap." Kaz muttered to himself.

"Kaz?" Kyle asked, looking past his brother to see the familiar robots. "What are they doing here?"

Kaz didn't answer that question as instead, he turned his head over to look at his younger brother. "Kyle, listen to me right now," he said. "You remember where to go, right?"

Kyle nodded slowly, a small frown on his face. "Yeah."

"Then, run," Kaz told him. "Go tell the others and do not look back."

"But I can't leave without you!"

"Now, Kyle!" Kaz said firmly. "They're not after you, so go! Now!"

Kyle hesitated for a second before turning around and bolted, running as fast as he could. Kaz turned back to the Foot Bots and just as one of the robots charged at him, he shot a blast of fire at the robot, watching as the robot collapse to the ground. As Kaz moved into a alley, he let his arm lit up into flames when another Foot Bot grabbed his arm, letting the flames travel onto the robot, forcing it release him before crumbling to the ground.

A hissing sound was heard and as the flames on his arm vanished, Kaz watched as a familiar mutant snake slithered into the alley before stopping halfway in front of him, transforming back into a familiar teenaged girl.

"Karai?"

"Kaz." Karai responded, a sly smirk on her face.

"Where the hell have you been? The turtles, Henry, and Bri have been looking for you." Kaz questioned, yet there was something off about the situation that made him feel uneasy.

"Oh, I know," Karai said. "Which is why my father sent me to finish them and capture the princess."

Kaz managed to jump out of the way in time when her snake arms lunged at him, trying to grab him.

"I don't want to fight you, Karai," Kaz said.

"Oh, but I do." Karai said, a smirk on his face.

She leapt up and went to kick at his chest, but Kaz blocked it as he leapt to the side to avoid her snake arms. Then, Kaz sweep his leg out and used it to trip Karai, causing her to fall back but before she could hit the ground, Kaz caught her.

"We're on the same side, Karai." Kaz told her. "I'm not the enemy here."

"Yes, you are!"

Taking him by surprise, Karai kicked his chest, causing him to stumble before using her snake arms to pull him closer. Then, she pressed her lips, kissing him until she released him a few minutes later.

"No wonder why Princess Briana seems to have quite a liking for you." Karai said with a smirk.

Kaz didn't have time to respond before he started coughing and then, falling onto the ground just as everything went black.

"SEE YA, GUYS!" Both Mara and Calista waved bye to their other band members before walking away in the opposite direction as them to head back to their places. But during the walk back, Calista was lost in her thoughts that she barely even heard her girlfriend talking to her.

Ever since the turtles, Henry, and Briana ended the invasion and saved the city, Calista couldn't help but notice that Mara's friendship with April had definitely changed a little. She knew that Mara hadn't realized or seen it yet, but the amount of times where Calista had caught April staring at Mara with that annoying smile on her face or the fact that she had to hear Mara use her new nickname for April.

She hated it, and a part of her knew that at some point, she was going to have to step in and remind April on who Mara really belonged with.

Herโ€” Calista Diaz herself, not some half human and half alien mutant like April.

It was bad enough that she had to deal with the turtlesโ€” or even Henry and Briana at this point, but she refused to let April think she can steal her girlfriend from her.

A hissing sound snaps Calista back to reality as she realizes that Mara went silence, freezing in her tracks when a mutant snake slithers in front of them, hissing.

"Another freak?" Calista mumbled to herself. "How many are in this city?"

"Karai?" Mara questioned, her eyes widening in shock as she easily recognized the mutant.

She slowly reached for her phone to call the others but stopped when the mutant snake lunged at the two teenaged girls. Both Mara and Calista jumped away from the other, dodging Karai as the mutant snake leapt between them.

"I thought you said that she was on their side?" Calista questioned, ignoring the urge to roll her eyes.

"She is!" Mara said. "But Bri did tell me something about a brain worm that Shredder and Jake. Maybe they used it on her."

Calista snorted. "A brain work? What, it controls them and turns them into a mindless puppet?"

"From what Bri told me, pretty much, yeah." Mara shrugged, not sensing the hostile in her girlfriend's tone.

Karai hissed and lunged herself again, this time wrapping herself around Mara tightly, pinning her arms against her side.

"Mara!" Calista shouted.

"Karai, snap out of it!" Mara said, ignoring her girlfriend's shout and trying to help the mutant snake. "It's me!"

But Karai didn't let go of her and instead, tightened its grip before biting the girl's right arm and then, releasing her. Mara coughed before falling onto the ground, losing consciousness.

"Mara!" Calista shouted again.

Calista went to run over to her, but didn't have the chance to when Karai lunged and tackled the girl to the ground. Before Calista had a chance to push the mutant off, the mutant snake bit into her neck and then, slithering off.

Calista coughed and the last thing she remembered seeing was the mutant snake transforming back into Karai, who stared down at her with a smirk before everything went black.

THE TURTLES, HENRY, and Briana were standing around a table with Kirby. April was laying on the table, hooked up to a bunch of monitors.

"Her condition's getting worse," Donatello said. "The poison's not showing any signs of stopping."

"Bitten by a poisonous snake in her bedroom?" Eclipse asked. "Doesn't make any sense."

Suddenly, Henry's ears pricked at another pair of running footsteps as a familiar voice yelled out. "Guys! Help!"

They ran out of the lab to find a familiar twelve-year-old boy running into the lair with a panicked expression on his face.

Briana blinked. "Kyle?"

But before other word could be said, Kyle suddenly ran over and threw his arms around Briana's waist, holding onto her.

"It's Kaz!" Kyle panicked. "I... I don'tโ€”"

"Kyle, it's okay," Henry said. "What happened?"

"Kaz and I were walking home from my basketball game when Foot Bots appeared," Kyle explained. "He told me to run here, but I don't..."

"I'll go check on him," Raphael said, his T-Phone in his hand. "We got a S.O.S from Casey's bike. I'll check on Kaz while on my way to see if Casey's alright."

"Take Mikey with you." Leonardo ordered.

"Why?" Raphael demanded.

"Because you might need backup, and the rest of us are helping Donnie."

Raphael rolled his eyes. "Fine. But no Turflytle." He headed for the entrance with Michelangelo following him.

"Mikey and Raph: the new A-team!" Michelangelo cheered, following his brother. "Let's do this!"

Kirby sighed, taking April's hand. "Maybe I should've taken her to a hospital."

"No, no, you did the right thing, Kirby," Donatello responded, studying a sample of April's blood. He gasped.

"What is it, Donnie?" Eclipse asked.

"None of the anti-venoms are working. If I can't come up with an antidote soon..." he let the statement hang unfinished in the air, all of them knowing the result.

๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘

AFTER RAPHAEL AND Michelangelo managed to find Kaz and get him onto the Party Wagon, the next one they had to find was Casey. The Party Wagon pulled to a stop as the two mutant turtles stepped out.

"This is the place Casey's bike was sending out the signal." Raphael said. The two of them looked around and Raphael pushed a dumpster aside, finding Casey. "Casey! What happened?"

"Attack... Foot... Kiss..." Casey said weakly before passing out again.

"I think he's asking you to kiss his foot," Michelangelo said. "Better do what he says."

Raphael shoved him. "Make yourself useful and grab his legs."

With that, the two of them brought Casey into the Party Wagon and placed him next to Kaz's unconscious body.

"Hopefully, Donnie will know what to do." Raphael muttered, driving off.

"Oh, no. Oh, no, oh, no, oh, no," Michelangelo panicked from the back with Casey and Kaz. "I think they've been bit. You'r gonna have to suck the poison out, bro."

"I'm not sucking the poison out! I'm driving!" Raphael retorted. "You suck it!"

"But I think Casey's bite on his butt," Michelangelo whined. "That's gross, dude. You do it."

"Just do it already!"

Michelangelo groaned, leaning in. But before he could do anything, a bunch of snakes appeared, attacking the two mutant turtles and sending the van flipping on its side.

"Any luck, Donatello?" Kirby asked as the purple masked mutant turtle injected April with the anti-venom. "Anything?"

Donatello looked at the vials displayed on multiple screen, giving a small shake of his head. Then, everyone's attention was brought to Splinter walking into the lab, holding a scroll.

"Sensei, what are you doing?" Briana asked. "You should still be resting."

"Not when April's in danger," Splinter responded. "Not when I have this." He held up the scroll, opening it. "An ancient-poison draining mantra."

Henry's T-phone started ringing and he pulled it out, answering it. "Raph? Where are you guys? Raph?"

"Hello, Henry." Karai said on the other side of the line. "Your brothers are right here... with me."

"Karai?" Henry questioned.

"Though they don't appear to be in the best of health. I'm afraid if you, Leonardo, Donatello, Eclipse, and Briana don't come soon, then Raphael, Michelangelo, Kazimieras Smith, Zane Carson, Mara Sparks, Calista Diaz, and Casey Jones will all expire. Come to the old abandoned Greenwich street station. We'll be waiting."

The phone went silent as the call hung up.

"She's not getting better!" Kirby snapped at Donatello. "I brought her here because I thought you could save her."

"Calm down," Henry interrupted, lowering his phone. "We have another problem."

"There is no other problem," Kirby retorted. "April is the only thing you should be worried about."

The wolf inside of Henry didn't like that statement or his tone as the animal thrashed against its chains, wanting to come out. Henry bit the bottom half of his lip as he pulled back the chains to pull back the wolf.

"I'm doing my best, Mr. O'Neil." Donatello defended.

"SILENCE!" Splinter snapped. "All of you." He walked over to April. "If I can focus, I may be able to get the poison out of her system."

"Kirby, stay here with Kyle," Leonardo instructed. "Help Master Splinter with whatever he needs. Clips, Bri, Donnie, you're with me and Hen." He and Henry ran out of the lab with the others following.

๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘

"IS IT ME or does the water smell worse than it normally does?" Briana asked as they made their way through the sewers. Henry had explained Karai's phone call while they had left the lair.

"Come on," Henry started climbing up a ladder, Leonardo close behind. "This way."

"Ugh. Iโ€” I don't feel so good." Donatello complained.

Leonardo looked up, shaking his head. "Me... neither."

"Oh, good, so it's not just me." Eclipse said.

Henry stopped climbing for a second when a wave of dizziness fell over him. He almost let go of the ladder before he shook his head, tightening his grip on the ladder. They climbed up the ladder and headed through a subway tunnel.

"Henry, Leonardo, Donatello, Eclipse, and Briana. Sneaky, coming from the sewers. How are you guys feeling? Nauseous? Dizzy?"

Henry brought a hand to his head. "Everything's... spinning..." he said weakly.

"My brain feels like it's melting." Briana commented weakly.

Eclipse blinked, staring at Leonardo. "Dude... why do you have a pineapple for a head?"

Donatello gasped. "We've been poisoned!"

"We've gotta act flash." Leonardo said as they ran the rest of the way.

"My venom is highly toxic in any form," Karai stated, standing with Foot Bots as she watched them run up. "Even in water. It seeps through the skin in seconds." Leonardo skidded to a halt, pulling out his katana blades. Henry reached for his twin swords but ended up falling onto his knees while the others collapsed. Karai smirked. "It's over, Leonardo." She watched as Leonardo collapsed to the ground. "You and your family are finished."

Henry wasn't able to stay on his knees and collapsed to the ground as well, mumbling something under his breath.

"The poison is slow. Within the hour, you all will perish. I don't even care about any of you. You're nothing more than a means to get to Splinter. The rat will eventually come for you, and then... I will have my revenge."

Henry continued to mumble under his breath, remembering the healing mantra that Splinter had taught him. His ears pricked at Leonardo mumbling the healing mantra as well. Then, the two jumped to their feet.

Karai raised an eyebrow. "Beating the poisonโ€” impressive."

"Karai, this isn't you," Henry told her. "Shredder used a brain worm on you."

"Lies won't help you, Henry," Karai retorted. "I'll just have to finish you off myself."

Karai ran at the two, aiming blows at them as they dodged and deflected.

"Karai, you have to fight it." Leonardo snapped.

Karai grabbed his wrist, throwing him across the tracks before doing the same to Henry. Just when the two stood back up, Karai shot out her arms, snake heads at the endโ€” one bit Leonardo's arm and the other bit Henry's arm, injecting the venom back into them and pulling the two back to her as she kicked them.

"Still feeling the effects?" Karai asked. "You two are weak, and done for."

But neither Leonardo or Henry felt like giving up just yet as they stood up, putting their hands together and chanting the mantra together. "Rin. Pyo. Toh. Sha." They started saying it faster. "Kai. Jin. Retsu. Zai. Zen. Rin! Pyo! Toh! Sha! Rin! Pyo! Toh! Kai! Jin! Retsu! Zai! Zen!"

"What are you doing?" Karai snapped. "What is this?"

Leonardo placed his hands on his plastron while Henry placed his hands on his chest, healing themselves of the poison. Karai ran at the two to attack again.

Leonardo dodged Karai, knocking away her serpent arm. "Rin!" Karai tried to attack Henry with her other arm, but he blocked it and hit it away. "Pyo!" She jumped up to kick them but they blocked it. "Toh!" Leonardo punched her in the stomach. "Sha!" He sent her flying back, crashing into a pillar.

The two panted to catch their breaths, waiting to see if Karai would attack them again but she didn't move.

Together, both Henry and Leonardo managed to get Raphael, Michelangelo, Casey, Kaz, Mara, Zane, and Calista down from where they had been hanging, bringing them to where Donatello, Eclipse, and Briana were still passed out.

"You're coming with us, Karai." Leonardo turned to retrieve her, only to find that she'd vanished. "Oh, Karai..."

"We'll find her again, Leo," Henry said, placing a hand on his shoulder. "Or she'll probably find us again. Either way, we'll figure out a way to save her."

Leonardo smiled softly. "Yeah. But for now, let's go home."

๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘

ONCE THE TWO had managed to bring everyone back to the lair and lay them out on the dojo floor, April was awoke and alright by the time that they got back. Then, Henry and Leonardo along with Splinter were able to use the healing hands on the others to heal them of the venom and soon enough, the others started to wake up, pushing them up to sit up.

"Oh, man... snakebite is worse than the worst." Eclipse complained.

"Snakebite's not that bad," Michelangelo responded. "I've been bitten by giant wasps, mutant dogs, Dream Beavers, squirrels, Squirrelanoids..."

"Are you still talking?" Raphael asked.

"It wasn't really the snakes that took us out," April said. "It was Karai."

Briana pushed herself up onto her feet. "She's under Shredder's control. He's the one responsible, not Karai."

Calista ignored the urge to roll her eyes. "Is it really his fault if you guys couldn't stop him from controlling Karai?" She mumbled under her breath so no one heard her.

At least, she thought nobody hear her but Calista could've swore that she felt eyes on her. She looked up and spotted Henry staring at her with narrowed eyes, almost glaring at her for a while till he looked away.

Then, Henry noticed Leonardo walking out of the dojo and followed him. "Leo, I know it stinks that we couldn't save Karai but you saved everyone else."

"Indeed," Splinter agreed, following them from the dojo. "You did a great thing tonight, Leonardo. You should be enjoying your victory."

"Not everyone," Leonardo responded. "I tried to get Karai out of Shredder's control. I failed, sensei. I'm sorry."

"We saved Karai once, Leo," Henry said. "We can do it again."

"Your brother is correct, Leonardo," Splinter said. "And now, you both show great gifts as a healer. Being at the edge of your life gave you both a power that few martial artists can tap. I am proud of you, my sons."

Both Leonardo and Henry smiled up at him.

"Hey, Leo, Hen." Donatello said as he and the others walked up to them. "We just wanted to thank you for saving us."

"Yeah," Raphael agreed. "You two kicked Foot Bot butt, you both stopped the poison, and you got us out of there."

"And you two did it by yourselves," Eclipse added. "None of us could've done that."

Leonardo nodded, exchanging a smile with Henry and Splinter. "Maybe you're right. Maybe tonight was a win."

"It is, and we'll figure something out to save Karai." Henry said.

Briana grinned. "We always figure something out in the end."

'But first... I think I had my limit with her. I've gotta talk with Calista.' Henry thought secretly to himself.

๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘

NOT WANTING ANYBODY else to know about Calista's behavior just yet, Henry ended up confronting the girl when she left the lair and caught up to her within the empty subway.

"Calista."

At the sound of her name being called, Calista turned around and found Henry walking up to her. She couldn't help but blink, a wave of confusion washing over her at the hint of anger in his eyes or the frown on her face.

"Henry?" Calista questioned. "What is it?"

"Stop acting like I didn't hear what you say, Calista," Henry told her firmly. "We both know I did."

But Calista still tried to keep her act up. "I don't know what you're talking about."

"Oh, really? Fine, I'll quote your words," Henry said sharply, crossing his arms over his chest. "You said, 'is it really his fault if you guys couldn't stop him from controlling Karai?'"

"Henryโ€”"

"And that's just one of the things I've heard you say," Henry continued angrily. "I could list of bunch of other stuff that you've said, but I don't have that much patience left for you to do that."

"Again, Henry, what are you talking about?" Calista questioned, as if she was trying to save the image of herself she had them believing. "Where is this coming from?"

"You know damn where it's coming, Calista," Henry retorted with a scoff. "You can stop pretending that you're innocent. Ever since you found out about the turtles, I've been starting to see who you really are."

Realizing that there was no fooling him, Calista rolled her eyes as she let her facade dropped, a look of disgust forming onto her face.

"Alright, fine, you're right," Calista said. "I've been pretending this whole time but..." she gave him a serious look. "You're really cool with the fact that they're mutants? How do you, Casey, Mara, Zane, and Kaz not realize that they and Briana are responsible for anything bad that's happened to any of us?"

"One, you do remember that I'm half mutant too, right? And second," Henry said firmly as he glared at her. "Do not push my limits, Diaz. You're already on thin ice with me."

Calista scoffed. "I mean, I guess technically, you've always been one of those freaks, given that not only did you know them your entire life or that you're part-wolf but you're dating the golden one now."

Calista didn't realize how Henry's body tensed as his fists clenched tightly, his body shaking with rage as he gritted his teeth. The wolf inside of him growled angrily and thrashed against the chains, nearly breaking free, but Henry managed to pull back the chains in time as he wasn't quite done just yet.

"And then, there's Briana," Calista continued, a disgusted look on her face from the mention of her girlfriend's best friend. "How the hell does she call them her family when she's not even related to them by blood? And then, she looks to you like her older brother tooโ€” please, she's pathetic. No wonder why her own parents gave her up. God, I wish Mara would open her eyes and realize that she shouldn't trust that girl to be her 'best friend.'"

Henry sucked in a deep breath as if he was trying to calm down, yet it didn't absolutely nothing to resolve the anger inside of him.

"And don't even get me started on April," Calista said with a scoff. "I swear, she's trying to steal Mara from me and Maraโ€”" she rolled her eyes, something that Henry took notice of. "It's like ever since you guys got back from that farmhouse you were all at, all Mara talks about nowadays is April freaking O'Neil. April that, April thisโ€” ugh, like, just shutโ€”"

"That's enough!"

Calista found her body suddenly freezing as she was forced to close her mouth. She could feel her body shaking, but it wasn't from fear. It was from the sudden wave of dominance and authority that was coming off of Henry. She tried to get her mouth to open to said anything or for her feet to move, but she couldn't. It felt like she was glued to the ground.

"Let's get one thing straight, Diaz." Henry warned, glaring at her as his eyes starting glowed yellow. "I can see right through you so, your little act won't save you from me and I know for a fact that it's only a matter of time before the others see past it. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if they already did and the only reason why they'reโ€” and myself will keep quiet about is for Mara's sake because despite the fact that she can do way better than you, she's my friendโ€” she's family, so I won't said anything in front of her for her sake, not yours."

Henry glared darkly at her as his eyes continued to glow yellow and Calista couldn't help but look a bit worried when she could've swore that she saw his fingernails turn into claws.

"But if you ever insult my girlfriend, my brothers, my sister, or my friendsโ€” my family again, I won't play so nice," Henry threatened, taking a quick glance down at his claws before back up at her as if he was showing her what he meant. "So, I'd watch your tone and what you'd say from now on, Diaz, because if you get past my limit, I won't hesitate to put you in your place. Got it?"

Although Calista wasn't doing it willingly, she still nodded her head slowly due to the wave of dominance and authority that came off of Henry.

"Consider yourself warned then."

And with that, Henry's eyes returned back to normal while his claws retracted, turning back to normal. Then, he gave her one last glare before turning around and walking away, leaving Calista to stand there alone as the situation washed over her.

"So, a lot of things happened here, huh? A Henry versus David fight, we had to bring Jack and Kris to the lair, us getting poisoned by Karai, us getting saved by Leo and Henry, and then, Henry's confrontation with Calista. And technically, we're not even halfway close to what else is heading our way."
