"Ladies and gentlemen, the first time we faced Bebop and Rocksteady."
"LOOK AT ME! You... you... you turned me into a dang pig! I don't want to be a pig! The ladies don't love pig!" Zeck complained. "Can't you turn me into something cool? Like a mongoose?"
"Oh, you mutate me into giant, talking rhino? You will pay for this, Shredder!" Steranko said.
Both Razar and FishFace went to fight back against them but Jake held up his hand, stopping them from moving forward. "Let father handle them." Jake told the two mutants.
"Eat this! Ha!" Zeck shot his lasers at Shredder but the man blocked the attack with his gauntlet.
Steranko charged at Shredder, but the man only blocked and delivered a hard punch to the rhino's stomach. Then, Zeck stepped in while the focus was on Steranko but, Shredder defeated the two with ease. Dropping them to the floor, Shredder walked up to them.
"Ivan Steranko, Anton Zeck, you will either serve me or fall by my hand." Shredder said.
"Uh, being a pig does have limited employment options? The bacon's in." Zeck said.
"Da. We serve you, Shredder. For now." Steranko added.
"For now? Oh, no, that won't do," Jake said as he walked up to the two mutants, pulling out his sword as he did. "You two don't have a choice," he pushed the tip of his sword against Steranko's throat, threatening to push it in. "Do I make myself clear?"
Steranko looked nervous, a small hint of fear in his eyes. "Da. Crystal clear, Jake. What is you and Master Shredder want us to do?"
"You found Karai once so, you two will find her again," Jake said, still not removing his sword. "Fail and I will not hesitate to introduce you to new forms of pain."
๐๐๐
"LET'S GET THIS meeting started," Henry said as he turned off the tv, earning a groan from Michelangelo, Kyle, Piper, and Chloe.
"Alright, I got things to do and bad guys to mess up." Raphael said.
"Karai's still out there," Leonardo started as they gathered around Donatello's computer while he typed something. "The last thing she said to me was the word 'comet.'"
"So, what's that supposed to mean?" Casey asked, crossing his legs where he laid on the couch. "A giant comet's coming? The earth's doomed?"
"Feels like it could be a location," Zane guessed. "Maybe where she's hiding out."
"I've found three locations with the word 'comet' in them," Donatello responded. "Comet Cleaners on Bleecker Street here. Earth vs. the Comet Creepers is playing at the Argosy Theater here. And then we've got the Coney Comet roller coaster on Coney Island here." He pulled up their locations on the internet map, pinpointing their exact location for them to follow. "So, one of these places could be her lair. Theoretically."
"Ooh, ooh, ooh! Can I check out the Comet rollercoaster?" Michelangelo asked quickly. "Please? Come on, Leo, Hen, hook a turtle up!"
Both Leonardo and Henry stared at him before looking back at the others.
"Donnie, April, Mara, and Briana, you take Comet Cleaners. Raph, Casey, Kaz, and Zane, you take the movie theater." Leonardo started.
Henry eyed Michelangelo, who was watching him excitedly before he faced the group. "Me, Clips, Leo, and Mikey will check out Coney Island."
"Aw, yeah, boy! Thanks, bro!" Michelangelo cheered.
Briana tossed a canister at Leonardo. "There's just enough retro-mutagen brewed for three doses," she threw another canister at Raphael. "Each team gets one. It'll be weeks before Donnie and I finish more."
"So, in other words, don't waste it," Eclipse summed it up. "Got it."
"Karai's condition is unique. There's no guarantee this will even work on her." Donatello added.
"All we can do is try, Donnie." April said.
"Everyone knows the plan?" Leonardo asked as they gathered their weapons.
"Let's go find Karai." Mara said determinedly.
"Alright, we're in." Kyle said, standing up from the ground alongside Piper and Chloe.
The group glanced at each other before looking over at the three preteens. "You're staying here."
Immediately, Kyle, Piper, and Chloe let out annoyed groans as they collapsed onto the couch while the others made their way towards the hole to leave.
๐๐๐
AFTER FINISHING THEIR search through Comet Cleaners, Donatello, Mara, Captain Violet, and April climbed out the window.
"No sign of Karai," Donatello said as they began to walk away. "The place is completely abandoned."
"Well, one location down," Captain Violet said, taking out her phone. "I'll call Leo. Maybe they had better luckโ hopefully."
April suddenly groaned, placing her hand to her head.
"Everything alright, Cupcake?" Mara asked.
"Someoneโ someone is watching us."
The four of them quickly pulled out their weapons, looking around.
"Hmm... IโI don't see anyโ" Donatello got cut off when something slammed into him and sent him on his shell. He flipped back to his feet as Zeck's laugh rang out. "Ow!" Something hit him again and sent him stumbling back towards the girls. The four of them formed a circle, back-to-back as they searched for him.
"Old-what's-his-name, the fly guyโ Baxter Bughead?" Zeck started. "He fixed my invisibility tech. Wow to the wow to the weeโ" he was cut off when Mara threw her fist forward, punching him in the face, making him visible and causing him to stumble back. "Oh, man. How'd you find me?"
"Cause you don't shut up! It's annoying," Mara retorted with an eye roll. "Who is this guy, anyways?"
"He was a thief named Zeck," Captain Violet informed. "Guess he got mutated."
The four of them charged at Zeck, dodging the lasers he shot at them. One hit April and sent her back into a wall. The second one hit Mara and she slammed back against the wall beside April.
"Ew, what is this?" Mara questioned.
"Ugh, is this glue?" April questioned as well.
"You think you can take me? Huh?" Zeck taunted as he dodged Donatello and Captain Violet. "I will drop you like an ex-girlfriend."
Captain Violet threw a shuriken at him, only to fall onto the pavement when Zeck hit her with a laser. Donatello slid out the blade of his staff, but he got hit next and fell beside his sister.
"GUYS!" Both April and Mara yelled.
Zeck approached the two unconscious teens, checking them over. "No worries. My hip lasers were sent to stun. We need you guys alive to bait your friends." He picked up the canister of retro-mutagen and looked it over. "Hmm, what's this?" He noticed Donatello's T-Phone on the pavement and picked it up, looking at the screen. "Ha! I got some sweet news, baby Ivan. Not only did I catch a turtle and a princess, I know exactly where the other freaks are going. Check out the Argosy Theater on Houston. Me and my new homies are going to Coney Island."
Zeck then freed April and Mara from the wall, but their arms were still pinned by his glue lasers. He tossed them into the back of his van, followed by Donatello and Captain Violet.
"Hey!" April snapped. "Who do you think you are?" The doors slammed shut and Mara heard a lock click. "Let us out! Help!"
๐๐๐
ZANE WALKED OUT of the movie theater alongside Casey, Raphael, and Kaz. Neither one of them had found Karai. "Eh, these ooze specs aren't working right," Raphael said. "Maybe I should call Donnie."
"It's not your specs, dude," Casey responded. "We searched every inch of the place."
"Maybe the others had some luck," Zane suggested. "She has to be at one of these places."
Casey turned his head over to look at him, a smirk on his face. "Always thinking of the bright sides, huh, Zaney?"
A bit surprised by the sudden nickname, Zane made sure not to let it show that it got his heartbeat racing while he smirked at Casey in return. "Well, Bri's not here to do it so, I thought I'd do it for her. Not bad, Jones, huh?"
Casey kept the smirk on his face, though he could've swore that his heart skipped a beat. "Not bad at all, Carson."
Both Kaz and Raphael raised a brow at the sudden flirting between the two before sending small knowing smirks at each other then looking back at the two.
"As entertaining as it is to watch you two flirt with each other, we should probably see if the others had any luck," Kaz said before he smirked. "Unless there's something you two want to say to each other...?"
"Something that you've been wanting to say to each other for a while now...?" Raphael added.
At those words, Zane felt his cheeks turned a light shade of pink while Casey, on the other hand, froze.
"I... I don't know what you guys are talking about." Casey said, suddenly a bit nervous as he rubbed the back of his neck.
Raphael scoffed at those words. "Yeah, sure, whatever you say, Jones."
Kaz shook his head, looking back towards the theater. "Maybe there's a basementโ" he cut off as something landed behind them and the four turned to see a mutant rhino.
"Well, well, well," Steranko started. "Comrade Zeck made good on info. Turtle here... and strange human friends."
"Whoa, another mutant?" Casey asked, throwing down his mask and pulling out a hockey stick. "Dude, he's kind of rad."
Steranko picked up a car and threw it at them, as they scattered to avoid it. Kaz used his flying power to fly up to avoid the car, Casey and Zane pressed themselves against the ticket booth, and Raphael was forced to vault over the car to avoid it.
Then, Raphael charged at Steranko and jumped to strike, only to get punched down. Kaz landed on the ground and tried to take a shot by throwing fire at him, but Steranko dodged it and kicked him away. Casey sent bomb pucks at the rhino but the mutant blocked it with his arm, the small explosions having no effect.
"The July of Fourth. Fireworks do you nothing." Steranko ran at Casey, and the boy ran around him.
Casey flipped out his skates, spinning around to head back to Steranko. "Well, let's see what this does. Goongala!" He jumped and slammed his bat against the rhino, but the wood snapped against his horn. "Okay, that didn't work."
Steranko slammed his fist into Casey, sending him flying back. Zane went to catch him, but the momentum slammed Casey into him and it sent them both crashing into the ticket booth. Steranko stomped his way towards them.
"Casey! Zane!"
Steranko turned his attention to the mutant turtle and ran at him. He used his horn to pick Raphael up and slam him into the ground, then lifted him up and threw him into Kaz, who had tried to sneak up on the rhino, and sent the two crashing into the side of the theater.
Casey and Zane moved over to their friends, shaking them. "Guys, wake up! Wake up!"
Both Casey and Zane froze when Steranko made his way towards them, looking alarmed.

"DUDES, DUDETTE, THIS is so cool," Michelangelo squealed excitedly. "Can we go on the Whirlwind? What about the Wheel of Fun? Ooh, can we play Robot Ringtoss? Please?"
"You promised you wouldn't goof around, Mikey," Leonardo scolded. "Seriously, we don't want to scare Karai off."
"How about this, Mikey? First, we find Karai and then, we'll play some games and ride some rides as a celebration. Deal?" Boy Danger offered, looking over his shoulder at him.
Michelangelo smiled widely. "Deal, bro!"
"She's gotta know we're here by now, right?" Eclipse asked. "Why doesn't she just come out?"
"Maybe she's not in her right mind," Leonardo responded. "Or maybe she's worried she'll lose control and attack us."
The four of them kept looking until Boy Danger's ears pricked at the sound of something hitting the ground. He turned and saw a flash of white scales while his nose twitched at a familiar scent.
"Whoa! Dudes, dudette, I think I just saw her!" Michelangelo exclaimed. The four of them bolted after Karai, stopping in front of a certain attraction that made the orange masked mutant turtle gulped. "She went into the ghost house..."
"So, who's going first?" Eclipse asked.
"NOT IT!" The three mutant turtles but Boy Danger called out.
Leonardo, Eclipse, and Michelangelo turned to look at him with small smiles and when he noticed their looks, Boy Danger realized what happened as he sighed. "Aw, sewer apples."
Then, Boy Danger took the lead as they entered the Spooky Haunted Funhouse. He looked around the hall that had nothing but dark lights and spooky decorations.
Michelangelo whimpered. "Uh, this place isn't so bad."
As if it was on cue, a cut-out popped out from the wall ahead, startling the four of them as they screamed. After a moment, Boy Danger frowned and gave the cut-out a shove. "It's just a painted board."
A plastic zombie head dropped down in front of Leonardo, eyes lighting up. He screamed and drew one of his katanas, slashing the string and cutting the head loose. It crashed to the floor, broken.
Eclipse, surprisingly looked a little freaked out, chuckled nervously. "I'm definitely not scared." Though since the hall was dark, neither Leonardo or Michelangelo noticed how her hand grabbed onto Boy Danger's hand, who squeezed her hand reassuringly.
Michelangelo spotted a painting of a monster and screamed, suddenly jumping into Boy Danger's arms, who shot him an annoyed look. He chuckled nervously. "Have you been working out?" He didn't get a respond as Boy Danger dropped him, and Michelangelo fell to the floor.
They all paused when they heard hissing.
Boy Danger's ears pricked at the nearby sound. "Karai's close by."
The four of them started walking again and Boy Danger looked down the hall to see Karai dart across the end of the tunnel. Cautiously, they walked down the end of the tunnel that Karai had gone, only to enter into a mirror room.
Leonardo looked around and spotted Karai with her back to them. He quietly pulled the canister of retro-mutagen from his belt and pulled the trigger, the serum coming out in an orange cloud as it hit Karai but nothing seemed to happen. Puzzled, he ran around the corner to find it was just her reflection. Karai hissed at him, fleeing deeper into the mirror maze.
"Guys, don't let her escape!" Leonardo called as he followed her into the maze.
"I got her!" Michelangelo shouted, only to slam into a mirror.
"I got her!" Eclipse called, only to slam hard into another mirror. "Okay, I hate mirror mazes."
Boy Danger closed his eyes, trying to focus. His nose twitched, picking up on the familiar scent as he opened his eyes again, following the scent trail. He chased Karai out of the maze with the others following him as they left the haunted house and wound up running through the park.
Michelangelo wrapped his kusarigama chain around a post, blocking his sister. Karai turned and shrieked at them.
Leonardo held up his hands slowly. "Karai, we wanna help you. Don't you remember us?"
Karai hissed and lunged at Michelangelo, tackling him to the ground and pinning him with her snake hands, hissing at him.
"Get her off, get her off!" Michelangelo yelled. "She's trying to eat me!"
"Karai, it's us!" Leonardo yelled, trying to get her attention. "It's me, Leo! Try and remember! Focus!"
"Leo..." Karai got off Michelangelo and slithered towards him hesitantly, putting some distance between them while Eclipse helped Michelangelo stand up. She huddled against one of the stalls.
Cautiously, Leonardo approached with his hands held up. "We want to help you, Karai. Can you transform back?"
Karai looked away without a response and suddenly, Boy Danger's ears pricked at the sound of a crash. He turned in direction of the noise while Karai took the chance to flee.
"Karai!" Leonardo called after her.
Karai didn't come back while the four of them ran in the direction of the sound, hiding in the shadows as a van pulled to a stop. The door opened and a mutant warthog wearing Zeck's retro outfit came out.
"Are you here yet, Steranko? What's the deal, yo?" Zeck asked.
"Da, comrade, look behind you." Zeck turned to face the large rhino mutant with a Russian accent. "Woo! Rhino legs very fast. Good workout. Better than the Pilates."
"They've got Raph, Kaz, Casey, and Zane." Leonardo said, noticing the four limp figures the mutant rhino carried.
Steranko opened the back doors and tossed the four unconscious teens inside.
"You can't do this!" April said. "We have friends that'll kick your butts!"
"And they got April, Donnie, Vi, and Mara too." Eclipse said.
Steranko closed the doors. "So, other mutants are here? Da?"
Zeck turned around and started sniffing the air while he pressed a button on his goggles. Boy Danger's ears pricked at his footsteps while they hid among the stalls.
"Turtles! Boy Danger! Come out and pla-ay!" Zeck called. "If you surrender, the humans go free."
"Pinkie promise." Steranko added.
"Forget it!" Michelangelo snapped back. "We don't trust you, dudes."
"You has no choice. In five seconds, I pop humans' head like the blueberries." Steranko declared.
"Ahโfour," Zeck said. "Ahโthree." The four teens glanced at each other. "Ahโtwoooo! Ahโoneโah!"
Leonardo gave them a signal and darted around the side of the stand while the other three went the other way. Leonardo snuck out to the back of the van while the other three dealt with Steranko and Zeck.
"Okay, don't hurt them! Let's talk this over." Boy Danger said, stepping out with Eclipse and Michelangelo.
"Um, what do we call you guys now, anyway?" Michelangelo asked. Zeck and Steranko traded confused looks. "You need mutant names. Um, and it just so happens I'm awesome at naming stuff. How about... Pork Rind and Chili Cheese Fry?"
"Ah..."
"Nyet, nyet," Steranko shook his head. "Not so good names."
"How about Sprinkles and Hot Sauce?"
"Nyet."
Boy Danger held back a growl as the two mutants stepped closer.
"The Royal Weenies?" Michelangelo suggested.
"NYET!"
"Stop trying to name them after food." Eclipse shot at her twin brother.
"Then how about, um..." Michelangelo looked around and noticed the writing on the side of their van. "Bebop and Rocksteady?"
"Is that what you do?" Zeck demanded. "Randomly named enemies based on stuff you see around you?"
"Hey, it's not so bad," Steranko said. "Kind of like the Rocksteady."
As Leonardo was trying to pick the lock, a hand was suddenly pressed against his shoulder and he whirled around to see Zeck there. "Aha! You think you can escape my goggles, son? I saw you a mile away."
Boy Danger kicked him away, taking a defense stance alongside Michelangelo and Eclipse, their weapons out.
"No one can face the Bebop and the Rocksteady!" Sterankoโ Rocksteadyโ shouted.
"I am not going to be called Bebop, got me?" Zeck snapped at him, pulling out the container of retro-mutagen. "That is the dumbest name ever!"
"He's got the retro-mutagen!" Eclipse warned.
"Retro-mutagen, huh?" Zeck asked, looking at the container. "I'm wondering what it'll do to mutant turtles."
"Don't do it, Bebop!" Michelangelo said, hands up in front of him.
"Stop calling me that name, fool!" Zeck snapped. "I hate that name! I hate that name!" He started laughing. "Time for the next mutation, turtles."
"Hell no!" Boy Danger snapped, eyes glowing yellow as he growled dangerously at the mutant warthog, shifting protectively in front of the two mutant turtles.
"Nyet!" Rocksteady grabbed Zeck's shoulders. "Bebop, wait. Think with the brain for once. Retro-mutagen can turn us human again."
Zeck blinked. "Wow, I didn't even think of that! Let's do the drizzle! And stop calling me Bebop, yo!" He went to spray himself with the serum, but Rocksteady snatched the canister.
"Nyet. Why do you get to be using it?"
"You did not justโ"
"Give it back."
"I had it first!"
"Nyet, nyet, nyet!"
Leonardo took his chance and started picking the van's doors again while the other three retreated behind a stall.
Karai suddenly jumped down in front of Rocksteady and Zeck and shot venom into Rocksteady's eyes, making him drop the canister. He stumbled backwards and stepped on it, shattering the canister. Karai went after Zeck and the warthog retreated, shooting lasers at her.
Karai fled into the haunted house, Zeck following her. "Get back here, snakey snake!"
Leonardo managed to pick the lock and opened the door.
"Leo!" April exclaimed.
"Finally!" Mara snapped.
Leonardo used his katanas to free them, just as the others started waking up. "Thanks, Leo." Donatello said.
"Oh, my aching brain," Raphael groaned, rubbing his head as they jumped out of the van. "What hit me?"
"It was that huge rhino dude," Casey said. "Right there!"
Rocksteady pushed himself up, groaning as he looked at them. "Turtles... free?" He got up, roaring as he charged, and they scattered.
"What do we do, guys?" Zane asked.
"You guys go after Karai, the rest of us will take Rocksteady." Boy Danger said.
Boy Danger, Eclipse, Raphael, and Michelangelo took off running with Rocksteady hot on their heels while the others ran towards the funhouse.
"Whoa, wicked!" Casey said. "This was my favorite fun house as a kid." He flipped down his mask and followed them inside.
They made their way through cautiously while April used her powers to sense them.
"Careful. He's close. Invisible. He'sโ"
A cut-out jumped down from the ceiling, startling them and making them scream.
"Oh, come on! Are you kidding me!?" Mara snapped.
"Oh, I hate that!" Donatello said. "I hate it when stuff jumps out at you!" Something punched him.
"I know exactly what you mean." Zeck's voice rang out. He grabbed Casey's hockey stick and hit him, Kaz, and Zane with it. "Don't worry, I would never hit ladies." April, Mara, and Captain Violet yelped as they fell to the floor. "But I'll trip them."
๐๐๐
"COME OUT, LOWLY cowards!" Rocksteady shouted.
Eclipse jumped down from the coaster, landing on the platform and making taunting gestures. "Come get us, Rocksteady!" She said.
Raphael jumped down to hang off the coaster's wooden beams. "Hey, Rocksteady." He held up the retro-mutagen. "Looking for some retro-mutagen?"
Rocksteady started climbing the rollercoaster and Raphael jumped up, throwing the rollercoaster. Boy Danger caught it and bolted along the tracks.
"All aboard the turtle coaster!" Michelangelo said while Leonardo threw a shuriken and hit the start button on the control console, starting the ride.
They ran along the tracks, catching up to the train and jumping onto it as it went up the hill. Rocksteady pounded after them. Just as he was about to catch them, they crested the hill as the cart started to descend and shoot down the hill.
Leonardo looked back at the mutant. "Here he comes. Doesn't this thing move any faster?"
Michelangelo got up and hit Rocksteady with his nunchucks. The rhino grabbed the cart, making the orange masked mutant turtle stumble and fall off. Eclipse caught him before he could fall and pulled him back into the cart. The cart turned a corner and descended another hill. They all screamed as they spotted Rocksteady blocking the path. He slammed a metal pole into the tracks. The cart ran up it and they all went flying.
They quickly pulled out their grappling hooks, swinging themselves back onto the tracks and kicking Rocksteady on the way by.
"Eat it, rhino!"
Michelangelo screamed as Rocksteady grabbed him. "MIKEY!" They yelled.
"You will give me retro-mutagen now!" Rocksteady snapped as Michelangelo whimpered.
๐๐๐
"COME ON OUT, pig!" Casey shouted. "Show yourself!"
"His name's Bebop." Donatello said before getting knocked to the ground.
"My name is not Bebop!" The warthog snapped.
Kaz turned to the left and threw a punch, causing Zeck to turn visible as he stumbled back.
"What the? How did you find me!?" Bebop demanded.
"You don't shut up!" Kaz said.
"He's annoying like that." Mara answered.
Then, Captain Violet lifted her katana and slammed the hilt of her sword into Bebop, sending him crashing through the wall and back outside.
๐๐๐
"GIVE RETRO-MUTAGEN," Rocksteady commanded. Michelangelo screamed as he was held over the edge of the coaster.
Boy Danger leapt down onto the tracks. "Put him down first." He ordered. "I don't trust you."
"I has your word given?" Rocksteady asked.
"You have my word." Boy Danger said, holding up the canister.
Rocksteady snorted, throwing Michelangelo to him. He started to slide back and quickly pulled himself forward, pulling himself onto his hands and knees. "Thanks, bro." Boy Danger helped him back onto his feet.
"Retro-mutagen now!" Rocksteady snapped.
Boy Danger saw the golden masked mutant turtle in position and smirked slightly. "You want it? Take it!" He threw the canister at him and the mutant rhino reached for it, only for Eclipse to swing past and snatch it.
"No! You gave word!"
"But I didn't!" Eclipse retorted, smirking.
She threw the canister at Leonardo, who caught it and ran down the tracks, using his grappling hook to get away. Rocksteady took out a sickle and threw it at the rope, snapping it and Leonardo fell into one of the carts with Rocksteady running to meet him on the track ahead.
"Hey, horn head!" Raphael called. Then, Raphael and Eclipse swung at him from either side to kick him. The mutant rhino grabbed their feet and tossed them in the opposite direction, their grappling hook ropes snapping back them to hit each other before swinging away.
Rocksteady grabbed the cart, only to find it empty. He roared, climbing on top of the cart and leaping to another track.
"Rocksteady!" Leonardo called, in another cart heading down the hill and directly at the rhino. "Eat it!"
๐๐๐
"YOU PICKED THE wrong night to mess with me!" Bebop yelled, raising his hands to his glowing Mohawk.
They heard a loud yell out of nowhere and Captain Violet looked up to see a large, gray ball flying down at them.
"Uh-oh."
They jumped out of the way and watched as Rocksteady crashed into Bebop. They both rolled toward their van and slammed into it, flipping it over and landing on the other side.
"Well, that's gotta hurt." Zane said with a wince.
"Everyone okay?" Donatello asked.
Casey flipped up his mask. "Think I only sprained a leg or two."
Leonardo and the others met up with them. "Karai! I know you're here! Come out. You don't have to be afraid anymore."
Karai gave a soft hiss, coming out of hiding behind a stall and stopping in front of Leonardo.
"We can help you," Leonardo said as he held up the canister and aimed it at her. "With this."
Karai stared at her, silent, then closed her eyes and lowered her head. Leonardo pulled the trigger and the retro-mutagen spilled out in an orange cloud. Everyone held their breath, but nothing happened and Karai opened her eyes.
"It didn't work," Leonardo said. "Donnie, Vi?"
"I told you, Leo," Donatello said sadly. "Karai's special. She's not a normal mutant."
"It was all for nothing?" Raphael asked.
"It doesn't matter. You can still come home with us, Karai." Leonardo said as he stepped closer to his older sister. "We'll take care of you, I promise."
Karai looked away. "No. Too dangeroussss. My mind isss going."
"Thenโ then, why did you want us to find you?" Leonardo asked.
"Wanted to ssssay goodbye... to all of you." Karai turned and dashed to the fence, jumping over and disappearing into the water.
"No! Karai!" Leonardo ran to the fence and stared out at the water, finding no signs of her. "We'll find a cure for you one day, Karai. I promise."
"Guys, Bebop and Rocksteady are gone." April said, looking to where they'd been laying.
"Ah, let them go," Raphael said. "Next time I see them, they won't be able to walk away."
"Come on, guys," Michelangelo started softly, head lowered as they began to walk away. "Let's head home."
Leonardo waited a few seconds before he turned and followed the rest of them, each and every one of them had sad looks on their faces.
"We couldn't save Karai this time, but that didn't mean we're giving up on her. She's family, and we never give up on family."
