"When you lose, there's this crushing pain that you feel that makes you wonder if there was anything that you could've changed if you made a different choice. By the end of today, we all felt like that."

FOR THE FIRST time in the city, silence filled the air since it was a quiet night. The only problem was that within the throne room, Shredder was deep within his thoughts while he sat on his throne and at the same time, Jake was staring out the window as he let his thoughts consume his head as well. As much as he hated the kraang and knew that it was only a matter of time before the aliens betrayed them, Jake was willing to team up with the kraang if it meant that the kraang would give them Splinter, the five mutant turtles, Henry, and Briana. 

All he had to do was betray the kraang first the moment he got what he wanted. 

"Master Shredder, the hour grows late. Have you and Jake made your decision?" TigerClaw spoke up. 

"They are dangerous allies. But they have provided us with much technology, asking little in return." Shredder noted thoughtfully. 

"They will betray you. You know this," TigerClaw pointed out. "They care nothing for the human race."

Jake scoffed at those words. "Neither do we. As for their betrayal, that can easily be dealt with as long as we betray them first."

"What are you proposing we do, my son?" Shredder asked. 

"We team up with them for now," Jake said, ignoring the sudden wave of pain that washed over him. "The moment they hand over Hamato Yoshi, those pesky turtles, Henry, and my cousin, we betray the kraang before they can betray us."

"Very well. TigerClaw, leave us," Shredder said and once the mutant turtle was gone, Jake activated the communication as a holographic projection of Kraang Prime showed up. "Kraang Prime."

"One called Shredder, one called Jake," Kraang replied. "Kraang must have your decision."

"If we help you, will you uphold your end of the bargain?" Jake asked. 

Kraang nodded. "Kraang will deliver the ones called Splinter, Henry Hart, Princess Briana, and the turtles."

"And once I find Karai, you will mutate her back to normal?" Shredder asked. 

The kraang nodded once again. "Kraang agrees to this. But in return, Shredder and Jake must help kraang conquer the city known as New York City. And then the world!"

Jake nodded as he smirked. "It's a deal then."

RAPHAEL STOOD ON a rooftop surveying the city for Karai while Kaz used his flying ability to get a higher view to try to spot Karai. "Come on, you've gotta be out here somewhere," Raphael said as he looked through his telescope before lowering it to face Kaz, who lowered himself to the rooftop. "Tell me you got something."

"Nothing yet." Kaz answered. 

Then, they turned their attention to Casey when they heard him taking pictures of himself with his photo down in the alley, looking at a wall. Both of them immediately jumped down. "Casey! We're supposed to be looking for Karai! What are you doing, man?" Raphael asked.

"Hey, I'm just taking a break, peeping some awesome art," Casey responded. "Check it out! That is so metal!" 

Raphael stared at the graffiti and sighed. "Yeah, great. Come on, Casey. Let's move."

"Hold up, guys," Casey said as the two raised a brow at him. "Uh, got a question for you two. S-so, um, April ever talk about me? Like ever?"

"It doesn't matter," Raphael responded. "You know how Donnie feels about her."

"Yeah, yeah, it's cool. When you got that man/woman thing going on in a team, it just screws everything up. I'm not that into her anyways." Casey said as he started walking away. 

Kaz and Raphael took a glance at the graffiti and saw that Casey had drawn April into it. "Right." 

But then, Kaz noticed something else in the graffiti that Casey had drawn and although it was from a backside, Kaz could easily recognize who the other person was. Out from the corner of his eyes, he could see Raphael spotting the same thing as him as the two shared a glance. 

"So, Casey, if you're not that into April, would that happen to be because of a certain someone?" Kaz questioned. 

Casey froze at those words and for a split second, he swore that his heart almost skipped a beat as he suddenly felt nervous. "W-what makes you say that?" He asked.

"Oh, I don't know," Raphael played along with Kaz as he pointed at the backside of a person that he and Kaz easily recognized. "Just that... this looks a lot like Zane, right, Kaz?" 

Kaz nodded. "Oh, yeah, totally."

Casey was frozen in his spot, unsure of what to said. He had hoped that they wouldn't have noticed but he should've known that they would've, especially since if they both had ninja training. 

"I—I don't know what you mean," Casey tried to denied. "Zane and I are just friends."

Both Raphael and Kaz stared at him with unamused stares at those words. "You can tell yourself that all you want, Jones, but you're not fooling us." Raphael said.

"That question you asked? We know the answer you really want, but, we're gonna let you figure it out first," Kaz said as him and Raphael started walking. "Now, come on, let's keep looking for Karai."

Casey blinked as he rushed after them. "Hold on! What do you two know?" The only answer he got was his two best friends laughing.

DOWN IN THE lair and within the lab, the four other mutant turtles were there with Henry, Briana, Mara, and Zane. Donatello was looking over his computer plans, Michelangelo was eating pizza, Henry and Leonardo were pacing, and Eclipse, Briana, Mara, and Zane were leaning against the front of Donatello's desk. 

"I'm so worried, I can't even eat." Donatello spoke up. He threw his slice of pizza across the room but Michelangelo caught it.

"Me too, totally." Michelangelo said before eating the slice. 

Splinter entered the lab as he spoke up. "You have a right to be concerned. The kraang invasion is imminent. What plans have you devised to stop it?" 

Donatello smiled. "I give you my latest invention," he grabbed a pin-board, covered in designs of the machine he had drawn up a few weeks ago. "The Turtle Mech! It's fully armed with rockets, flame-throwers, and an electric harpoon. Guaranteed to stop a massive kraang invasion army, or your money back."

Michelangelo smiled, stars in his eyes. "Giant robots are awesome! I vote Turtle Mech!"

Leonardo shook his head. "That thing's not even ready. It could damage New York more than help it."

"It's ready... enough." Donatello argued.

"There's gotta be another way. We need to establish a second base outside the city, where we can retreat and regroup if anything goes wrong."

"There's no time for that, Leo. The Turtle Mech is solid. If I were leader, I'd—"

"But you're not leader, Donnie!" Leonardo cut him off. "Henry and I are!"

"Oh, snap." Michelangelo said with a smirk while the two glared at each other. 

Eclipse smacked the back of his head. "Don't encourage it."

"Enough, you two!" Henry snapped, getting between Leonardo's and Donatello's stare down. "You two having at it isn't helping anyone!"

"Your egos fight one another, when we should be preparing to fight the kraang." Splinter said.

ONCE AGAIN, RAPHAEL was standing on a roofto, looking for Karai  while Kaz was using his flying ability to give himself a higher view of where Karai was. Kaz looked around and stopped when he spotted a flash of white scales. His eyes widened when he realized who it was. "Raph! That way!" Kaz called out to him. 

Raphael looked through his telescope in the direction that Kaz pointed out before looking down at where Casey was. "Casey! We found her! Karai! She's slithering across the stree—" a police car pulling up next to Casey cut him off while Kaz landed on the rooftop. 

"Great," Casey muttered as the officers got out. "Can I help you, officers?"

"You're loitering, kid," one responded. "You know what that means."

"Loitering? Seriously?" Casey retorted. "Don't you got real criminals to bust? Or a donut shop to go to?" 

"We'll figure out a charge later, Casey Jones." The officer stated.

"How do you know my name?" The cops grabbed him. "Hey! Hey, get off me! I got rights! Let me go!"

"HEY, IS EVERYTHING alright at home? Or are your parents still fighting?" Kyle Smith questioned as he and one of his best friends, Chloe Jones looked over at their other best friend, Piper Hart while the three of them walked alongside the sidewalks. 

"Worse," Piper said with a sigh leaving her lips. "Last night, they told me that they're getting a divorce but for my sake, they're gonna live in the same house. My dad is gonna take the guest bedroom and my mom is gonna keep the bedroom."

"What about your brother? Is he still avoiding your messages and calls?" Chloe asked, a small frown on her face. 

Piper nodded. "Yep, and I have no idea why."

Kyle reached over and grabbed her hand, squeezing it reassuringly. "It stinks when your parents get a divorce but when you get used to it, it's not so bad, trust me on that. Plus, technically, you still get to see both of your parents in your life."

Piper couldn't help but give a small smile at his comfort while Kyle, on the other hand, felt his cheeks turned a light shade of pink as he quickly looked away, pulling his hand away. Chloe just smirked and shook her head at him and his reaction. She opened her mouth to said something when she looked across the street and spotted something that made her confused. 

"Hey, isn't that April with Irma?" She asked curiously. 

Kyle and Piper followed her gaze and watched as April and Irma ran past followed by what looked like black robots to them. "Come on, let's follow them." Piper said. 

"You wanna follow them?" Kyle asked. "Shouldn't we get help first?"

"We have to know what's going on if we wanna get help," Piper said. "I don't think anybody would believe us if we said that there's robots in this city."

"Well, whatever we decide to do, we should hurry before we lose them." Chloe told them before she started running after April and Irma. "Come on!"

And with that, Piper and Kyle ran after her while neither one of them knew that their entire lives were about to change.

"LEO, HENRY, THE Turtle Mech is our only answer! Be reasonable!" Donatello pushed as he followed after Leonardo and Henry, who were leaving the lab. The rest of the others were sitting on the couch. 

Leonardo shook his head as he turned to face him. "We are being reasonable! We need a second base, Donnie."

The argument came to a halt as the toll gates rang and April arrived with Irma. Irma tripped, her glasses falling from her face as she went down on all fours to look for them. 

"Guys! I'm sorry about this," April exclaimed. "But—but—but Foot Bots were after us, and—and Irma here is really good at keeping secrets, and, um—"

"You brought Irma here?" Mara questioned. "She's gonna freak!"

But before April could said something else, a loud scream grabs everyone's attention as they all whirled towards the entrance of the lair again to find Piper, Kyle, and Chloe standing there with shocked expressions. 

"My god! My brother... knows turtle-people!?" Piper questioned while yelling at the same time before she looks over at the mutant turtles. "And you have to be the reason why he was always sneaking out of the house!"

"You got that right. You got a smart sister there, Henry." Donatello said sarcastically. 

Henry sent him a warning look. "Donnie!"

"If you guys are here, I'm assuming Casey and Kaz know about them too then." Chloe said, looking over at where her brother's friends were. 

"Yeah, pretty much." Zane admitted since there was no point in lying to them.

Piper stared at her brother. "Who else knows about this? Does mom know?" 

"No—"

"DOES DAD KNOW!?"

"No! And you can't tell them—you can't tell anybody because nobody else knows!" Henry said before shaking his head.

By the time that Irma had managed to find her glasses and put them on, she looked up and froze when she saw the four mutant turtles and the giant mutant rat. "T-t-turtles?" Irma stuttered.

"What up, dog?" Michelangelo greeted, smiling. 

"Turtles..." Irma repeated, looking as if she was about to freak out. "Derp..."

"Irma, I know they look different but I promise, they're not gonna hurt you." Briana tried to reassure him. 

Irma didn't answer and started to turn her head while April backed up from the girl. Then, Irma's neck extended, revealing long parts. "Holy chalupa!" Michelangelo yelped, throwing pizza at her face. 

Irma's head spun, her eyes blinking red. "Turtles. Turtles. Turtles." 

April and the others screamed as the rest of Irma's body morphed into what looked like an advanced kraang-droid with a kraang in the stomach area as the kraang laughed. 

Irma's head continued to spin. "Turtles! Turtles!"

Michelangelo turned to April, Briana, Henry, Mara, and Zane, who were all equally shocked. "You guys gotta, like, pick your friends more carefully."

The kraang laughed, pounding its robotic hands and ready to fight. It grabbed the arcade machine. 

April gasped. "Oh, my gosh! Irma was a—" 

"Kraang!" It threw the machine. Everyone ducked while Splinter jumped out of the way. "Lowly insects. Kneel before the true genius of Kraang subprime. Greatest Kraang spy in all of Dimension X! The discovery of the lair was the final component, needed to launch full scale invasion!"

Kraang portals started opening around the lair. 

April gasped. "Oh, no!"

Mara frowned. "This isn't good."

👑👑👑

"BACK OFF OF me, man!" Casey snapped, struggling against the officers. 

"Get in that car now, punk!" The cop snapped back. 

"Casey, what have you done?" Raphael asked with a sigh. 

Kaz looked up as he heard electricity crackling and looked over to see kraang portals began opening up around the city as droids poured out. 

"Kraang!"

"Give me that stick!" One of the cops tried to take Casey's hockey stick from him and he accidentally hit the cop in the face with it. 

"Oops." The cop turned to him and his image flickered, revealing nothing more than just a droid. "Whoa! They're already infiltrating!" Casey called. "They're here!" He knocked one of the droids down with his stick as Kaz and Raphael jumped down while Raphael took out the other droid with his sais. "Raph, what the heck is going on?"

"The invasion's started. Back to the lair!" Raphael said, leading the way with Kaz and Casey following him.

KRAANG DROIDS WALKED out of the portals, firing their blasters. April, Mara, and Zane were hiding behind the large pipes near the bedrooms with Piper, Kyle, and Chloe while the rest of the others fought back against the kraang. Leonardo tried grabbing a weapon from the training dummy, but Sub-Prime threw the pinball machine at him. 

"This is so messed up!" April exclaimed. "My best friend for the past year was a kraang?"

"Fooled you! Fooled you all!" Sub-Prime shouted. He chased after Michelangelo, who fled into the kitchen. 

Henry jumped out of his hiding spot, holding his twin swords and started slicing through the droids. Eclipse sliced through two droids with her kamas while Briana stabbed a droid's head with her katana blade. 

Michelangelo ran out of the kitchen, trying to get away from Sub-Prime and Irma's head, which was shooting lasers from her eyes at everything she looked at. 

"Destroy the turtles! Wipe out the lair!" Sub-Prime ordered, turning to Splinter. "But the rat, Henry Hart, and Princess Briana come with us."

Michelangelo ended up kicking Irma's head away from him but it ended up biting Donatello's foot. 

"Ow, ow, ow, ow!" Donatello yelped, hopping on one foot, trying to fight back and get Irma off. 

"Sorry, D!" Michelangelo apologized, running from the laser-fire. 

Sub-Prime and Splinter took their fight to the dojo, and Henry felt his ears twitched at the Sub-Prime's shout. "Take that, you filthy rat!"

CASEY, KAZ, AND Raphael continued to run and accidentally caused a car to swerve on the traffic. "Whoa, crosstown traffic!" Casey called. 

The car soon straightened out and Kaz and Raphael jumped on top while Casey grabbed the side, letting it pull him on his rollerblades. The car swerved as a portal opened in front of them and Kaz and Raphael jumped off of the car while Casey let go. A giant Kraang walker approached from down the street while the top of the walker lifted away, four blasters took aim at the three teens. 

"Move it!" Kaz shouted. "Run!"

They turned and bolted. 

"There's too many of them, guys!" Casey shouted.

"Just keep going!" Raphael called back. "Keep going! Go! Go! Run!"

THE LAIR WAS still in chaos as they continued to fight back against the droids. Henry spotted Irma climbing above Leonardo's head, about to jump toward him. But before Leonardo or Irma could react, one of his katanas flew and stabbed Irma in mid-air. "Go! Escape!" Splinter shouted. He threw Leonardo's other katana and Donatello's staff, and the two collected their weapons. "I will hold them off."

"We're not leaving you!" Henry protested, slicing a droid with his twin swords. 

"I have a plan." Splinter explained. "Go, now!"

"Come on! Head for the ShellRaiser!" Donatello shouted.

They all ran towards the ShellRaiser but Sub-Prime noticed and fired rockets after them. "You'll go nowhere!" 

They dodged aside and the rockets hit the ShellRaiser, blowing the van on its side. Donatello gasped. "MY BABY!" 

"Everyone, follow us!" Leonardo ordered as he and Henry took off down the dark sewer tunnels with everyone following. 

"This is all my fault!" April said between breaths. "I led them straight to the lair."

"Don't blame yourself, April." Eclipse said.

"Yeah, you were just trying to help a friend." Michelangelo said in agreement. 

Everyone stopped running when they came to a fork in the tunnels. "We need to go left. That'll lead us to the Turtle Mech."

"No! We gotta find Raph, Casey, and Kaz." Leonardo argued. 

"We can find them in the Mech!"

"It's too slow!"

"You're the one who's too slow, Leo! You're leading us into disaster!"

"I'm doing what sensei would want us to do!"

"Enough already!" Henry said, splitting the two up. "The last thing we need is for you to keep fighting!"

Suddenly, a portal appeared between the two of them, separating Leonardo and Henry from the others. A kraang droid walked through on Donatello's side. "It is the one called the turtles, Henry Hart, and Princess Briana."

It started firing its blaster at them. More droids walked out, blasters at the ready. Donatello twirled his staff, trying to deflect them, but a laser caught his arm and he collapsed. 

Michelangelo trashed several of them with his nunchucks. "Booyakasha!"

Some of the droids turned their attention to both Leonardo and Henry, who took out their respective weapons to take them out. "Run! Take Donnie and everyone else to safety!" Leonardo ordered. "Henry and I will lead them away!"

"No way!" Briana shouted.

"Dude, we can't leave you two too!" Michelangelo added.

"There's no other choice right now!" Henry shouted before turning to the droids. "Hey, kraang! Come get us!" 

"Henry!" Piper shouted worriedly. She wanted to go after her brother but Eclipse didn't let her as she pulled the twelve-year-old back. 

Then, the droids quickly ran after Leonardo and Henry while firing at them, leaving the rest of the others alone. Henry took one last glance to make sure that the others were getting out and once he was certain they were, he looked around and continued to lead the kraang away with Leonardo.

THE GOLDEN MASKED mutant turtle lifted the manhole cover, giving the dark tunnel a bit of daylight. "Coast is clear." She removed the manhole cover and climbed out before helping April climb out followed by Donatello, who winced and covered his wound, and then, the others climbed out. "Ow, ow, it hurts so bad."

April put her hand over his with a small smile. "You'll be alright, Donnie. I'll get you fixed up." Donatello smiled back. 

Michelangelo grabbed his T-phone and tried calling Leonardo. "Leo, you there? Come on, bro, pick up!" The phone rang and answered with a dial tone. "He's not answering."

"Neither is Henry." Briana said, putting her T-phone back in her pocket.

Donatello sighed with a sulk. "It's my fault. Man, I shouldn't have argued with them. Now, they're gone."

Another kraang portal appeared and they all quickly ducked behind a taxi before they could get spotted. Donatello sighed. "Leo was right. We should've gotten out of the city when we had a chance."

"Not without my dad or the others," April argued. "Come on, guys."

JUMPING ONTO ROOFTOP to rooftop, Raphael, Kaz, and Casey ducked as a kraang ship emerged from a portal above them.

"Dude, this is worse than the giant Technodrome thing last year!" Casey exclaimed. "It's totally crazy!"

Raphael's phone started going off, and he picked up. "Clips, where are you?"

"We're on the way to April's apartment. Meet us there!"

"Roger that."

"Raph, look out!" Kaz warned.

Raphael ducked in time to avoid the kraang lasers and the three of them bolted as a kraang ship followed them, blasting them off the rooftop.

BOTH LEONARDO AND Henry were hidden in the shadows by the time four kraang-droids dressed as their human disguises showed up in the tunnels, a bit far from the lair, but since the droids didn't bother to glance up at the pipes above them, both Leonardo and Henry were good. The droids were too busy scanning the empty bodies of the other droids the two had managed to fight off but the two remained silent as they were able to eavesdrop on the conversation.

"Kraang, still no sign of the turtles, Henry Hart, or Princess Briana," one said. "Kraang must hurry. Kraang must attain the turtles, Henry Hart, and Princess Briana for the one called Shredder and the one called Jake."

Henry felt his blood run cold at those words and the moment that the droids were gone, the two leapt down and landed on their feet. "Shredder and Jake?" Leonardo said. "Since when were they involved in the kraang invasion?"

Henry thought back to what Sub-Prime had said back in the lab as his blood boiled as he felt his anger bubbling up. "Remember what Kraang Prime said back at the lair? I bet they teamed up with the kraang and made a deal with them."

Leonardo caught on to what he was saying. "They find us and the lair and Shredder and Jake help them with the invasion."

Henry nodded and the anger inside of him continued to bubbled up, and he even heard the wolf inside of him growl with the urge to ripe those two to pieces. From the look on Leonardo's face, he could tell that he was angry too. 

"Okay, the others are probably at April's place, waiting," Leonardo said. "I'll go deal with Shredder and Jake while you help them get out of here."

But before the blue masked mutant turtle could walk away, Henry grabbed his arm and pulled him back. "Are you crazy, Leo? This is Shredder and Jake we're talking about and you want to go fight them? That's suicide!" He told him.

"Everything that's happened so far is their fault, Henry," Leonardo argued. "Karai getting mutated, Briana falling into the mutagen with Karai, Briana being a target for them-- everyone we cared about is in danger because of those two! And now, they're helping the kraang start the invasion!"

"I know that!" Henry argued. "You're pissed, trust me, I am too. Hell, I want to kill those two myself for everything that they've done! But going alone won't fix anything but get you killed! Then, what do we do, Leo? How is your death going to help anyone?"

"Better mine than someone we care about."

"You pick the worst times to be selfless, you know?"

"I'm going after them, Henry," Leonardo said firmly. "I'm putting an end to them."

Even if Henry knew that it was suicide going after Shredder and Jake, the anger kept burning inside of him and the thought of being able to put an to Shredder and Jake... oh, he definitely wanted in on that. Not only that, but at least this way, Leonardo would have some help in case things started to go wrong. 

"Well, seeing as how there's no changing your mind, I'm going with you," Henry said, just as firm as Leonardo was before he quickly added. "And don't try to talk me out of it because if you do, I will drag you to April's apartment with me and nobody will be facing Shredder or Jake."

Leonardo nodded. "Let's go."

👑👑👑 

THIS TIME, IT was Eclipse that was the one pacing within April's apartment. Kirby had let them inside and they'd explained what happened, which resulted in the man passing out in shock when he heard it, but they were able to wake him up. Eclipse had called Raphael to let him know that they were at April's apartment so, he, Kaz, and Casey should be on the way. However, they were all still worried because none of them were able to get in contact with Henry or Leonardo, which didn't help Piper calm down as the twelve-year-old girl was starting to worry for her brother while Kyle and Chloe were starting to get worry for their respective brothers, who hadn't arrived yet either. At the moment, April was tending to Donatello's arm. 

"The city's overrun. What are we-- what is anyone going to do?" Kirby asked, looking more frantic than Eclipse.

"Ow," Donatello yelped. "No, I'm okay." April grabbed a bandage and began wrapping it around his wound. Donatello sighed. "April, now that it's the end of the world and all, again, I figured I'd better just tell you, kind of, how I feel." This caught April's attention and she tightened the bandage, causing the mutant turtle to yelp. "Ow!"

"Oh, sorry, Donnie!" April said. "You should stop talking. It just makes things hurt more."

"I'd said." Mara commented, only for Zane to elbowed her hard in the chest.

Then, there was a loud boom from above them that caught their attention and Kirby fell to his knees. "We're doomed! Doomed! Oh, my poor sweet April."

"Don't worry, Mr. O'Neil," Michelangelo reassured him. "This whole alien invasion thing is really no big deal." He opened the curtains. "Look."

It was absolute chaos out there.

"MIKEY!" Both Eclipse and Donatello scolded.

Michelangelo glanced outside and noticed. "Oh." He closed the curtains with a sheepish smile. "Never mind."

Kirby fainted while Michelangelo peeked through the curtains. "Oh, boy."

👑👑👑 

THERE WAS CHAOS everywhere in the streets of New York City as the kraang were destroying everything in their path and the city's citizens were all panicking as there was nobody around to stop the invasion. A male teenager carrying a little girl ran by and stopped in front of Jake and Shredder and screamed as he ran off. 

"The city is ours, Master Shredder." TigerClaw informed.

"Since I was a boy, I have seen this very vision. The world in chaos." Shredder said.

The world in chaos. Jake smirked at those very words as every part of him liked the idea of that. The sight of all the destruction and terrified people that were running around while screaming, begging and crying for somebody to come and save them sounded like music to his ears. He knew what he wanted and what his plans were so, if teaming up with the kraang and helping them with their invasion was the only way to ensure it, then so be it. 

Razar came over as he sniffed the air. "Master Shredder, the kraang have sent word. Leonardo and Henry are not far from here. They're leading them straight to us."

"And what about my cousin?" Jake questioned.

"There's no sign of her, but they are still looking for her."

Shredder smiled beneath his mask. "Excellent. Then it is the beginning of the end."

THE TWO LEADERS pushed their backs against the corner of a nearby shop and peered around carefully to find Foot Bots positioned everywhere with bows and arrows, clearly waiting for the two of them. There wasn't a single human in sight from there, meaning that the kraang were definitely herding them towards the center of the city to mutate them. The sound of two Foot Bots each jumped behind the two as Leonardo and Henry used their respective swords to cut the robots in half. 

Then, the two teens kept going, running until they reached construction site of what looked like to be an old skatepark of some kind and the two slid inside with their senses on high alert. In order to catch their breathes, both Henry and Leonardo hid behind a wooden board, panting.

Henry felt his T-phone vibrating and reached into his pocket to take it out. He could see the forty-seven missed calls from Briana, Michelangelo, and Eclipse. From the amount of missed calls he had told him that they were worried but it also told him that they were alive and that was enough for him. He looked over at Leonardo to find him looking at his T-phone and saw the same thing on the bright screen.

Forty-seven missed calls from Briana, Eclipse, and Michelangelo.

The sound of more approaching Foot Bots had Leonardo and Henry quickly putting away their T-phones and taking out their swords to get ready to fight. Just as the robots came around the corner, the two teens cut them all down.

That was when all of the Foot Bots--each and every single one of them swarmed them at once.

Although both Henry and Leonardo were able to take the robots out, the two of them were both growing tired and irritated by the second. The thought of Shredder and Jake being cowards rather than facing the two of them themselves made the two leaders angry-- so angry that the two took it out on the black robots. Right when it looked like they were done, another wave of Foot Bots came at them as Henry and Leonardo took them on again. But then...

"Fire!"

Both Henry and Leonardo spun around to see Shredder standing there with Jake by his side as the two stood on a rooftop, watching them. TigerClaw, FishFace, Razar, Soren, Isabella, Cameron, Noelle, and Tyson were there as well watching... while arrows flew at the two. 

"Oh, no."

"JUST A LITTLE farther to April's place." Raphael stated.

The three of them came to a halt, watching as a giant portal opened in front of them and Kraang Prime himself stepped out.

"Yes! Kraang Prime returns to Earth!"

"You got some kind of plan to fight that thing?" Casey asked.

"People of Earth, the Kraang forming of your world is about to begin!" Kraang held out a gun, shooting mutagen at the humans and covering them in green ooze.

"No!"

Once the humans emerged, they were mutated into Kraang creatures.

"Now, that is really messed up."

👑👑👑 

"INVASION!" THE REPORTER exclaimed. "That's right, folks. The aliens are back! Robots are emerging from portals! UFOs are everywhere! A giant alien brain is stomping through the east village!"

The broadcast was cut off as Kraang sprayed mutagen at the camera.

"Yeah, I'd say we're basically doomed." Donatello stated.

April sighed. "This is all my fault. If I hadn't brought Irma to the lair--"

"You can't blame yourself for this, Carrot Top." Mara told her.

"Yeah, you didn't know that she was really a Kraang." Zane added.

Michelangelo nodded, putting an arm around April's shoulders. "Besides, we can do that for you."

Eclipse smacked the back of his head. "You're not helping, Mikey."

"I'm gonna fix this," April said determinedly. "I'm gonna find Raph, Casey, and Kaz."

"You can't go out there, April!" Kirby said. "You have to stay with me." He hid his face in his arms. "I'm scared."

Eclipse T-phone rang and she took it out to look at it. "Raph sent me a text. 'On our way, being chased by Kraang Prime.'"

Michelangelo shrugged. "Guess they'll be a few minutes late."

KAZ RAN THROUGH the streets with Casey and Raphael.

"You cannot run, Earthlings!" Kraang stated, shooting out more mutagen. "Your entire team will transform!"

"Raph, what's going on?" Kaz asked.

"The Kraang perfected the mutagen! They want to turn Earth into Dimension X!" Raphael responded.

"Wicked!" Casey exclaimed.

"Wicked!?" Raphael and Kaz questioned in unison.

They came to a halt as Kraang Prime started throwing cars. Raphael tackled Kaz and Casey to the ground as a car barely missed them, though another one was heading right for them. But rather than landing on top of them, the car landed on top of two others, saving the three of them from getting crushed. Slowly, they emerged from under the car. only to face Kraang's gun.

"Goodbye, lower life forms." A rocket slammed into Kraang Prime with an explosion. "What!?"

"Earth Protection Force, move! Get into formation. Flanking maneuver. Go, go, go!"

The three of them watched as soldiers and tanks passed, swarming the huge Kraang.

"Team two, cover quad four! Hut, hut, hut!"

"Pathetic humans." Kraang Prime spat.

"Fire!" The soldiers began firing at the giant alien brain.

"Now's our chance! Run!" Raphael said as he took off ahead.

"But it was just getting awesome." Casey whined.

"Move it, Casey!" Kaz said as the two ran after Raphael.

HENRY PANTED AS he ducked and rolled across the cold concrete to avoid the arrows before weaving his way through to avoid getting hit. He could see Leonardo doing the same thing as him to avoid getting hit as well. He could feel his body growing tire with exhaustion but he refused to let it show or slow him down. There was no way that Henry was gonna let Shredder and Jake continue to go after everyone he cared about.

Both Henry and Leonardo glared up at Shredder and Jake, who stood on rooftop with content faces by just watching them fight with very slim chances of surviving. "Stop hiding behind your Foot Bots!" Leonardo yelled. "Face us, Shredder!"

"You are beneath me, turtle."

Henry scoffed, his eyes burning with rage. "Beneath you!? You can't even face us without your stupid robots! You're the one that's so low that nothing can be beneath you!"

Suddenly, a chain was hurtled at Leonardo from the left while from the right, another chain was hurtled at Henry. Instinctively, the two brought their arms up to block the attack but the chains wound tightly around their wrists and the two were dragged across both sides of the site until the two were up against the wall. Then, a Foot Bot leapt down and leapt at Leonardo while another one did the same with Henry. Both leaders threw their respective swords at the robots, watching it sail straight through the chests before clattering to the ground. Seconds later, the walls exploded behind the two leaders, sending planks and splinter of wood flying as more Foot Bots charged. However, the two teens were now free and forced themselves onto their feet and immediately took the robots on. 

And so, in order to protect everyone they care about--their family, the two grabbed their respective weapon and charged at the robots themselves.

But even as the fight went on, nothing could get rid of the exhaustion that both Henry and Leonardo were facing but the pure rage they felt towards Shredder and Jake fueled them to keep fighting.

For a split second and while Henry and Leonardo were glaring at the mess of robotic body parts, they thought that it was over-- that they were gone-- that the fight itself was over.

Not even by a long shot.

Neither Henry or Leonardo had a chance to react when something blew them grabbed their ankles in tight grips and the two barely had time to turn to find that it was half of the Foot Bots they hadn't finished off yet before the two lost their balance and tumbled backwards, falling over the edge of the platform. The two rolled down the rocky slope and then when they reached the bottom of the hill after bouncing off of a rock before the two leaders plunged into the deep waters beneath the wooden bridge. 

The water was freezing cold! The two struggled to hold their breaths as they fought their way to the surface, gasping and coughing up the dirty water once their heads broke the surface. They pulled themselves out and just laid there, panting and breathing heavily. But then, the sound of something landing on the platform above them grabbed their attention as the two teens forced their eyes open, rolling back onto their feet to find Shredder and Jake standing there followed by TigerClaw, FishFace, Razar, Soren, Isabella, Noelle, Cameron, and Tyson.

"...Now you may finish them."

Before Henry and Leonardo knew it, each and every single one of their henchmen pounced from the platform and leapt to attack.

Punches and kicks were thrown at the two leaders by either TigerClaw, Razar, FishFace, Soren, Isabella, Cameron, Noelle, and Tyson. Though, Isabella even added a few volts of electricity at them by using her powers and Noelle added in a few ice blasts at the two leaders, which they'd ended up by avoiding by an inch. 

The next thing that the two knew was that they were both laying on the ground, wheezing and exhausted. But their exhaustion turned into determination, and that determination turned into pure rage at the thought of them seeking out everyone they care about-- and that didn't sit with either one of them. 

Out of nowhere, Henry and Leonardo glared up at them with a hateful look on their faces before leaping back onto their feet and charging at them. Henry went straight for Tyson as the two half-wolf mutants fought. Releasing bit of anger and hatred he had towards the Foot Clan, Henry slammed his fist into Tyson's face, not caring if his ears twitched at the sound of Tyson's nose cracking and before Tyson could react, Henry gave a solid, hard kick right to his stomach, sending him to the ground. Tyson glared up at the boy before spitting out the blood that landed onto the ground. 

That's when Henry saw it.

"LEO!" 

But it was too late as the sound of metal piercing Leonardo's shell and flesh reached his ears while his ears twitched at the sound of it, and Henry was frozen in his spot as he watched Leonardo, eyes closed, falling onto the ground-- and he wasn't moving at all.

The sight of Shredder's bloodied blades-- covered in Leonardo's blood, was enough to make Henry clenched his fists while his body shook from rage. He bit down on his teeth so hard that he thought that they'd break in any given moment but unable to hold in all that rage, Henry slowly looked up at his enemies and a scream of anger left his lips as his eyes immediately flashed yellow while his fingernails turned into claws and his teeth grew sharper. 

By the time that Tyson stood back up onto his feet, Henry was already blinded by anger and hatred. He caught the punch that Tyson threw at him and twisted his arm behind his back but Henry ended up twisting the arm a bit too far as the sound of Tyson's shoulder popping out of place reached his arms. But it didn't stop him or nor did Henry cared as he slammed his knee into Tyson's stomach before kicking him across the face that sent him flying across the site. 

All at once, the other henchmen leapt to attack, but Henry saw them coming. Henry grabbed FishFace by his water pumps that were attached to his gills and ripped them right out before slamming his fist into his face. He spun around and the moment Razar jumped at him, Henry used his claws and scratched at his face, nearly taking out his left eye. Razar roared, but Henry grabbed his wrist before he could attack and threw him across the site as Razar toppled to the ground. TigerClaw charged at him with his own claws outstretched but Henry was faster and used his claws to slashed against the tiger's chest, nearly smirking when he spotted the blood dripping from the tiger's chest.

Soren attacked next with a kick, but Henry blocked it and slammed his elbow into the man's knee hard, popping his knee out of place before knocking the man down to the ground with a hard punch to his face. Isabella sent a volt of electricity at him but Henry jumped out of the way and as he leapt behind her, he gave a hard kick at her back and the moment that Isabella turned around, he used his claws to scratch her face, leaving a scar on her left cheek before kicking her in the chest to knock her down. His ears twitched at the sound of a blast coming at him and he jumped as the ice blast hit the ground instead. He landed near Noelle and threw a hard punch into her stomach that knocked the air out of her lungs as she fell onto her knees. Lastly, Cameron charged at him and threw his fist at him but Henry caught it, twisted his hand, and slammed his knee into Cameron's face before kicking him across the site. 

From the corner of his eyesight, Henry saw Shredder and Jake approach the unconscious body of Leonardo, he growled and snarled his sharp teeth. He reached into his pocket to pull out a smoke bomb as he slid in front of the blue masked mutant turtle protectively and then, throwing the smoke bomb into their faces as it exploded. 

Once the purple smoke had cleared, both Henry and Leonardo were gone but what Henry hadn't realized was that Leonardo's T-phone had fallen out from his belt and was on the ground, ringing in front of Shredder and Jake. 

TigerClaw bent down and picked it up while blood dripped down his chest from Henry's attack, reading the message. "They wait for them at the girl's house."

"Bait them out and destroy them." Shredder said.

"And while you're there, capture my cousin for once, you idiots." Jake added.

PANTING, HENRY JUMPED across the rooftops as fast as he could but he could feel the anger starting to fade and now being replaced with nothing but concern and worry as his eyes stopped flashing yellow while his claws and teeth returned to normal. The exhaustion was starting to come back to hit Henry since the moment his feet landed on the rooftop, his legs had suddenly gave in as he collapsed, causing Leonardo's unconscious body falling onto the ground next to him. 

"Leo, hey," Henry breathed heavily as he pushed himself to his knees, grabbing Leonardo's body and holding him up in front of him but the blue masked mutant turtle's head went limp. "Come here, let me look at you." He reached behind to his shell and touched where it was cracked before he froze, feeling a warm liquid on his hand. He pulled his hand away and he could've swore his stomach dropped at the sight of blood-- Leo's blood on his hand. Panicked, he gulped and looked back at his face while Leonardo's head just went limp as a part of Henry hoped that Leonardo could still hear him. "Hey, it's--" he fought back the crack in his voice. "It's gonna be alright, okay? Hey, listen to me, I-- I'm gonna get you back and we're gonna patch you up, okay? You're gonna be as good as new. I'm--" he squeezed his eyes shut for a second before he opened them, reminding himself to stay strong not just for Leonardo, but for the others too. "I'm gonna take care of you, okay? I got you, Leo. That's my job, right? Watch out for one of my pain in the butts baby brother."

But as much as he hated it, there was no response from the blue masked mutant turtle, Henry shook his head. "No, no, no, not you-- it can't be you, Leo," he said. "It should've been me."

"I-- I gotta hurry," Henry said, his tone panicked. "Come on, let's get you back, Leo."

He pushed himself onto his feet and right when he pulled Leonardo's unconscious body onto his back, he didn't get to move at least one step before something hit the back of his head and his entire vision went black.

RAPHAEL, KAZ, AND Casey barged inside the O'Neil apartment, throwing open the door. "We gotta move. Kraang Prime is stomping this way." Raphael informed them.

"Raph!" Michelangelo and Briana exclaimed, relieved as the two threw their arms around him. 

Raphael smiled, patting Michelangelo's shell and Briana's back. "Aw, I missed you too, little brother, little sister."

"Casey!" "Kaz!" 

Although both Casey and Kaz were surprised to find Kyle and Chloe there with their friends, the two didn't question it as Chloe didn't hesitate to throw her arms around her big brother while Kyle did the same thing as he threw his arms around Kaz. 

Eclipse spoke up. "Uh, I hate to break this up, but Leo and Henry are still out there."

"What!?" Raphael snapped.

"Long story, bro," Michelangelo said. "Basically--"

Michelangelo was cut off when Leonardo suddenly came crashing through the window as he was thrown. He landed hard on the coffee table, snapping it in half. The blue masked mutant turtle was covered in bruises, scratches, cuts, and there was two long, bloodied gashes on the back of his shell. Nobody had time to react because next came Henry crashing through the window as he too was thrown before landing next to Leonardo. Just like him, Henry was also covered in bruises, scratches, cuts, and his shirt was torn across his shoulder. 

"Leo! Henry!"

Just as Henry found himself waking up while a groan of pain left his lips, the others were already by his and Leonardo's side. Raphael placed two fingers at Leonardo's throat to feel his pulse. "He's still breathing."

"Dude, his shell is cracked!" Michelangelo said. 

"Shredder," Henry coughed out, putting his hands on the floor to push himself up onto his feet while Donatello and Eclipse helped him stand. "We gotta go now--"

"Come out, turtles!" TigerClaw shouted before Henry can finish. "We know you're in there!"

Foot Bots entered through the broken window and Mara pushed the first out, but more of them kept coming. "Everybody, out!" Henry shouted. "Now!"

"This way!" April said. 

A Foot Bot blocked the exit and Donatello threw a shuriken at the bot's head, shutting it down. Raphael placed Leonardo onto his back and then, everyone followed Henry as he led the way out of the building. They opened the front door and Eclipse used her kamas to slice the two Foot Bots guarding the door but then, Razar leapt down in front of them with a roar.

"This is for our brother!" Briana shouted from the apartment. They all looked up as the couch came flying over the fire escape and crashed down on Razar. 

Then, Michelangelo and Briana jumped out the window and landed with the others. TigerClaw fired his revolvers at them and they dodged the blasts as they ran. Kirby led the way down the street to a parked psychedelic-colored hippie van.

"What the heck is that?" Raphael asked.

"It's my old party wagon from back in my hipster days," Kirby answered. He made a peace sign. "Groovy."

Mutagen splashed on top of him, transforming him into some kind of Kraang-human zombie mutant. From behind, Kraang Prime smirked at them.

"Not again!" April shouted.

"Everybody, get in!" Henry said as he was the last one inside and the one that closed the door once everyone was in. "Floor it, Casey!"

Casey got the keys from under the driver's visor and started the van. Kirby jumped in front and Casey sped down the street. Kirby flew off and Kraang Prime chased after them. They gave him the slip by driving down an alley.

"I'll get you all!" He shouted after them.

CASEY DROVE THE van into a deserted parking garage lot. "This looks like a safe spot."

Raphael opened the door and jumped out followed by Michelangelo, Eclipse, Donatello, Briana, April, Kaz, and Henry. "Come on. We gotta find Splinter!"

"What about Leo?" Briana asked.

"We shouldn't move him." Donatello said.

"It's okay, Leo can stay with us," Zane said. 

"Yeah, we're gonna go back and see if we can find Calista, Zane's mom, my dad, or anybody else from Kaz's family." Casey added.

April nodded. "Okay, but we meet back at this spot."

Mara nodded, smiling. "You got it, Carrot Top."

"Henry--"

"You'll be okay, Piper," Henry told his younger sister, giving her a reassured smile. "I'll be back."

Piper nodded softly and with that, Casey put the van in reverse and backed into the street, driving off.

THE LAIR WAS wreck and everything inside of it was completely destroyed. Sub-Prime really did a number on the place. Briana almost broke down at seeing the lair-- her childhood home and the very place where she grew up completely trashed and destroyed. The first place they checked for Splinter was the dojo.

"Sensei, you in here?" Eclipse shouted.

Henry felt his nose twitched, searching for Splinter's scent. "He's not here anymore," he said. "His scent's stale."

"I don't sense him either." April added.

"We gotta keep moving," Henry instructed as he turned to face them. "Everyone gather one meaningful thing you want to take with you. First, we're gonna find Splinter and then, we're getting out of this city."

The five mutant turtles and Briana went to their bedrooms to find what they wanted to bring. Briana looked around her bedroom where she walked over to her bed and lifted her pillow, finding her baby blanket. She hesitated for a moment before she reached for it and grabbed it, taking the soft blanket into her hands and holding it close. 

Henry spotted a picture on the ground and he walked over to it, picking it up. The photo had been taken by Splinter and it showed the five mutant turtles, Briana, and Henry-- each one had a grin on their faces. Henry noticed that the frame was cracked a little and frowned slightly-- maybe if they were able to come back and save the city, Henry could fix the photo. 

April stood there with Kaz, looking around. The TV switched on behind her, the screen static, cutting to the news every few seconds. She suddenly clutched her head. "Ah, my head!"

"April, what is it?" Donatello asked as they all ran back into the living room.

"Master Splinter," April responded. "I can sense him. He's close."

"Let's go!" Henry ordered.

They took off, following April through the sewers and toward a water transfer system. They reached the end of a pipe, blocked off by bars. On the other side, Splinter was facing Shredder. "Now, I will tear you to pieces!" Shredder declared.

"Sensei!" Michelangelo called.

"Go! Leave this place!" Splinter ordered, dodging Shredder's attacks.

"Fitting that your sons and daughters are here to see you fall," Shredder taunted with a smirk in his tone. He swung, Splinter ducked, and Shredder kneed him.

"You can do it, Sensei!" Eclipse shouted.

"Take him down, Sensei!" Briana encouraged.

Shredder threw blinding powder into Splinter's eyes. Splinter closed his eyes, ears twitching as he shifted his foot. Shredder jumped into the air to finish him, but Splinter fired back with an advanced technique, creating a powerful wind and blowing Shredder through the farthest wall.

Splinter opened his eyes, which were perfectly fine. "Now, quickly, we must find a way out of here."

But in a instant and before anyone could blink, everything went downhill. Before Splinter could react, Shredder struck him down and the mutant rat looked at him as Shredder knocked him out cold. 

"Sensei!" Michelangelo and Briana cried out.

Kaz shook his head. "No!"

Shredder picked up Splinter by his kimono, turning on the value to the water system.

"Don't do it!" Donatello shouted.

Henry could feel the wolf inside of him thrashing around with nothing but anger and hatred. 

Shredder ignored them and stalked over to the whirlpool. 

"Splinter!" Raphael shouted.

"Sensei!" Eclipse shouted.

Shredder threw Splinter into the water.

"NO!"

"Master Splinter!" April shouted as Splinter disappeared down the whirlpool.

Once again, Henry could feel the rage and anger bubbling up inside of him with the urge to rip the man into pieces. First, it was Leonardo and now, Splinter. Never in his life did Henry feel such a rage and the urge to kill Shredder... it just intensified twice as more.

"You! You monster!" Raphael snarled, hands around the bar as he tugged them fiercely while yelling. 

Henry could barely hear the yells over his own anger as he grabbed onto the bars with a grip so tightly that it felt like the bars would break. "Shredder, you... you..." Henry started while his body shook with rage before looking at the man with hateful eyes. "I swear, if it's the last thing I do, I'm gonna kill you!"

Shredder walked off with a hand over his arm while Henry let out a angry yell, banging his fists on the bars. 

"Henry, stop! That's enough!" Eclipse said. 

But Henry was angry-- so, so angry. Eclipse pulled him away from the bars and quickly threw her arms around him, hearing him freeze as his yells came to a stop. He barely registered Michelangelo doing the same thing to Raphael over the sudden hug. 

"It's okay, Hen. Sensei's a master ninja. He's gonna be just fine," Eclipse reassured him softly. She felt Henry's body relax a little before his arms wrapped around her. "It's gonna be alright."

Briana found herself turning to Kaz as she suddenly threw her arms around his waist, hiding her face in his shoulder. Kaz didn't hesitate to wrap his arms around her, knowing just how much she needed it. 

April sniffed and Donatello reached out a hand to her. "April."

April dried her eyes, looking determinedly with anger in her blue eyes as everyone else had pulled away from their hugs. "We're not running, Donnie. We're gonna put an end to this."

At those words, Donatello locked eyes with Henry, waiting for his okay. 

And Henry nodded, a rage in his eyes as well. "Let's do it."

👑👑👑 

THIS TIME, THEY entered the city inside of Donatello's Turtle Mech. It was indeed slow and blocky-feeling but the mech was able to get them to where they were going. On their way to the cathedral, they ran into some kraang droids.

Michelangelo smiled and shouted. "Oh, yeah! Turtle Mech power!"

The droids started firing at them.

Donatello looked over to his sister. "Clips, pull that level to your left." Eclipse did so, and Donatello followed. "Hit the pedal!"

The Turtle Mech raised its foot and stomped on the droids.

Michelangelo smiled as he cheered. "Dude, this is the coolest thing ever! All my Super Robo Mecha fantasies come true!"

Kaz pushed a lever and the Mech opened its mouth. A blast of flames torched the kraang, who left their robotic bodies in fear, leaving only one left standing. Henry picked up the nearest dumpster and dropped it on the droid. With that, they continued to the cathedral, taking out any kraang droids in the way. After a few minutes, they arrived.

"There it is-- Shredder's lair!" Henry called.

Before the Mech could move, a hot Kraang-pink laser shot in front of them-- a warning shot. They turned the Mech to see the shooter was none other than Kraang Prime.

"Uh, guys, we're in trouble." Briana said.

"We don't stand a chance in this thing!" Raphael shouted.

"We can do this!" Michelangelo encouraged. "Super Robo Mecha Force fought way bigger enemies." 

Eclipse pushed a lever and the Mech threw a barrel of explosive chemicals at Kraang Prime, exploding in his face.

Kraang Prime took a step back and roared in pain. "Lowly insects! Do you think Kraang can be stopped?" The Mech stepped back as Kraang Prime approached. "It was Kraang who found your planet millions of years ago. It was Kraang who used mutagen on the monkeys, turning them into lowly humans." It towered over them. "And it is Kraang who now transforms your world."

"And it will be Kraang who gets kicked in the shin." Michelangelo shouted, pushing a lever and making the Mech kick Kraang Prime in the shin. 

It didn't have any effect though, so they ran. Kraang Prime fired lasers from its antennae. 

"Grappling hooks!" Henry ordered.

The Mech fired its grappling hooks, landing on the rooftops. The Mech ran from Kraang, who kept firing at them. On the third attempt, the explosion threw the Mech back to the streets.

"Is everyone okay?" Henry asked as the power started back up.

"Sort of," Raphael answered.

"Not really," Kaz replied.

"I'm gonna feel that in the morning." April muttered.

Kraang Prime appeared again and Briana pulled a lever and the Mech stood up, taking its time.

"Donnie, get this thing moving!" Eclipse shouted.

Kraang Prime picked up the Mech, looking it dead in the face. "Kraang has had enough games."

Kaz pulled the lever in front of him and the Mech blew fire at Kraang's face. He screamed in pain and dropped them.

"Dude, weapons are down!" Michelangelo informed them.

Working together, they all made the Mech stand again.

"We got one last trick left, but it might fry the Mech." Donatello said before looking over at Briana. "Briana!"

Briana nodded. "Readying electro-harpoon!"

The Mech lifted its left arm and fired a cable at the nearest telephone pole. "First, we tap into the city's power grid," Donatello explained as electrical currents coursed through the Mech. "Then we--"

"Fire!"

The Mech fired another cable at Kraang.

"Goodbye, insects!" Kraang told them as the cable connected.

Briana pressed a button and the electrical currents attacked Kraang. He screamed in pain while the others screamed from the effects. The pole exploded and the whole city went into complete blackout. The other end exploded, knocking the Mech onto its shell. Kraang collapsed and the entire Mech was starting to overheat.

"Gotta shut down the system!" Donatello yelped as the Mech shut down.

The smoke cleared and everyone cheered when they saw Kraang Prime down for the count.

"Yes!"

"That's what I'm talking about!"

"We did it! Kraang Prime is toast!"

Suddenly, Kraang Prime climbed out of its robotic body and roared. Immediately, the cheering halted and Michelangelo squeaked. "Um, not really."

Kraang Prime charged.

"Donnie, make this thing move!" Raphael shouted.

He tried but it didn't work. "Can't! It's fried!"

"Abandon ship!" Henry ordered.

Everyone abandoned the Mech and ran into an alley as Kraang Prime jumped onto the Mech. Kraang Prime turned its attention to them as they got cornered.

"You will all suffer!" Kraang Prime told them.

April let out a scream, releasing a wave of physic energy. Kraang Prime shrieked and drew back just as the loud sound of a car horn along with a familiar shout.

"THIS IS SO METAL!"

A van jumped a ramp, slamming into Kraang Prime and knocking it a few feet back. The van stopped in front of them and Mara, Zane, and Casey looked out at them.

"You guys need a lift?"

They quickly entered the van and Casey high-tailed it away from Kraang Prime. He drove down the streets to the main highways, passing by everything that was left in ruins while every single person had been turned into a Kraang creature.

"I'm sorry, Leo," Donatello said sadly while Henry placed a blanket over him. "You were right. If we'd just left the city when you said, the Kraang would never have found the lair and started the invasion. None of this would have happened."

"I have a place we can stay upstate," April informed them. "My old family home. We used to go there every summer. We can stay as long as we want. No one's around for miles."

Casey lifted his mask and smiled. "Upstate, eh? Sounds good to Casey Jones."

"Were you guys able to find anyone?" Eclipse asked.

Zane shook his head, the thought of his mother getting mutated into a Kraang creature made him frown a little. "Nobody, they probably got mutated."

Everyone leaned back in their own seats, feeling defeated.

Michelangelo and Briana leaned against both sides of Raphael. "What's gonna happen now, Hen?" Michelangelo asked.

Henry grew quiet, unsure of what to said as he glanced at Piper and everyone else before back at Michelangelo. "For the first time in my life, I have no idea, little brother." He admitted.

Briana sighed. "I miss Master Splinter."

"We all do, Bri." Eclipse said, leaning against Henry.

"This was the first time we lost and it was the first loss that we had that left us feeling defeated. None of us-- not even me knew if it would all turn out okay in the end."
