"So, it's true that by now, Karai knows the truth but Shredder definitely has her locked in the dungeon because of her betrayal. Was this an easy attempt to get her back? Well... not exactly."

EVER SINCE KARAI'S capture, Splinter had been grieving over the loss of his daughter since this time, right when she had learnt the truth, his daughter had been taken from him again and as of lately, he's been looking at his family portrait more often. As Leonardo walked away from the dojo after checking on Splinter, he walked into the living room where Henry, Donatello, Michelangelo, Eclipse, and Briana were watching SRMFF. 

Raphael walked in with a box of pizza. "Pizza's here!"

Michelangelo quickly ran over and pouted. "You got one pizza? I'm like a two-pizza-all-by-myself guy."

"Would you relax?" Donatello said, walking over to the box.

Michelangelo glanced between the two and smirked. "Pizza is mine." He threw down a smoke bomb. "Booyakasha!" 

But the only thing that happened from that was Michelangelo getting blinded by the smoke and the pizza winding up scattered on the ground.

"Mikey!"

"I cannot believe you'd do that!"

Michelangelo crawled around on the ground, searching for the slices. "Ah! Where's the pizza?"

Leonardo stormed over to them as he snapped. "How can you guys fool around like this when Karai needs our help?"

"Ugh, not this again." Raphael crossed his arms.

"We have to rescue her."

"Do we?" Eclipse questioned. "Look, maybe she believes Splinter is her father, but it doesn't change the fact that she was still raised by Shredder. You really think she's gonna turn on him just like that?"

"Yes, I do," Leonardo said as he placed his hands on his hips. "Now, am I the leader of this team or not?"

The other mutant turtles glanced at each other before looking back up at him. "More or less." Eclipse replied. 

"More or less?" Leonardo echoed. "So, I'm only the leader until I tell you to do something you don't want to?" The other mutant turtles exchanged looks again. "Fine!" He said. "Do what you want. I'm gonna go check out Shredder's lair and see if it has any weak points."

Henry sighed as he stood up and stepped in front of him. "Take it easy, Leo. You're not going by yourself. Going to Shredder's lair alone is dangerous--not to mention stupid too, unless you're trying to get yourself killed."

"Karai needs our help--"

"I know," Henry said. "But since this is Shredder we're talking about, we can't just burst in there and demand to get Karai back. We need a plan, which is why we'll go for recon and like you said, check for weak points so we can make a plan that won't get us killed. But before we go anywhere, we have to be in agreement here-- this is just a recon so, we keep our distance and none of us are going in. We're not engaging with any of Shredder's forces either--unless they attack us first. Sound good?"

Leonardo nodded. "Sounds good."

"Alright, then we better get going," Henry said. 

As Henry and Leonardo started to leave the lair, the others glanced at each other. "Well, we can't let them go without us. We're a team, remember?" Briana said as she stood up from the couch and quickly rushed after them. "Henry, Leo, wait up!"

Donatello sighed as he too stood up from the couch. "Wait, we'll come with you guys."

"Pizza. Pizza. Pizza? Pizza?"

Eclipse rolled her eyes at him as she stood up. "Forget about the pizza already, Mikey." She then followed after the others.

"Come on." Raphael said, grabbing his youngest brother by his mask as he dragged him out while following the others.

THE BLUE MASKED mutant turtle swerved the ShellRaiser onto another street, easing up on the gas as they needed time to come up with a plan. "I think we might have better luck if we tunnel up from underneath Shredder's lair." Leonardo suggested.

"Ooh, what if we tunnel down from above? That'll really confuse them." Michelangelo said. 

"You can't tunnel down from--ugh! We're not tunneling from anywhere. We can't do this. Karai was raised by Shredder, she's one of the bad guys." Raphael said. 

One of the screens started buzzing a warning. "Huh?" Both Captain Violet and Donatello glanced between the two screens. "Is that a guy? Leo, hit the brakes. Hit the brakes!'

Leonardo slammed the brakes a moment too late and hit something hard. The tires skidded before sliding to a halt. He unbuckled and slid out of his seat, heading for the doors while the others followed.

"What did we hit?" Eclipse asked. 

"A guy-- a invisible guy," Captain Violet said. "He only showed on infrared."

"Is this a kraang thing?" Boy Danger asked.

"No idea," Donatello responded while Raphael ran over to a bag that the guy had dropped and picked it up. Boy Danger felt his ears pricked at the familiar sound of Foot Bots and looked up to see them gathered on the rooftops around them. 

"You guys aren't going to believe this." Raphael pulled out Shredder's helmet from the bag, as the others gasped.

"Well, tonight sure got interesting." Eclipse commented.

"What's the plan?" Captain Violet asked.

"Oh, you know, kick, punch, stab."

"Right in my wheelhouse, brah. Come and get some, sucka fool." Michelangelo said.

The Foot Bots were the first to charge at them while the seven teens defended themselves whenever it was slicing the robots in half or kicking and punching them away. For a split second, they had the advantage until more of them came running. 

"Fall back!" Leonardo and Boy Danger said.

As they retreated back to the ShellRaiser, Michelangelo called out. "Booyakasha!" He covered their escape by throwing smoke bombs to distract the Foot Bots. Leonardo hit the gas and sped off.

"YOU WILL FIND my helmet. Until it is returned to me, you will go nothing else." Shredder told his each and every single one of his henchmen that stood in front of him along with the Foot Bots. "Nothing!"

"Uh, Master Shredder, can't you just get another helm--?"

FishFace was cut off when Shredder had smacked him to the ground, glaring down at the mutant fish. "Idiot," Soren muttered to himself, knowing the history behind the helmet. 

"That helmet, the Kuro Kabuto, has been the symbol of the Foot Clan for over 1,500 years. The Clan's founder himself, the dreaded Koga Takuza, was said to be the greatest ninja in the history of Japan. His skill with a blade was greater than any samurai. Takuza laid waste to warriors and rulers alike. He stole the sacred totems of his defeated enemies and fused them into an alley stronger than steel. He himself forged the Kabuto, and it has survived undamaged to this day. I am sworn to protect it with all my life. You will find it, and you will bring it to me. Understand?" Shredder pushed a knife from his gaunlet to stare

"Uh, yes, Master Shredder."

"Xever, go with the fly. TigerClaw, go with Bradford. Soren, go with Isabella. Cameron, Noelle, and Tyson--you three will go together. Do not fail me. I promise you, the consequences will be dire."

"RAPH, YOU GOT that helmet?" Leonardo asked. 

The red masked mutant turtle held up the bag. "You know it."

"This is perfect. Perfect!"

"Yeah! Wait, what?" Michelangelo asked. 

"Shredder's helmet," Leonardo said. "We can trade it for Karai."

"You're delusional, you know that?" Raphael told him. "How many times does Karai have to try to kill us before you get that she's not on our side?"

"You're wrong about her, Raph."

"And what if you're wrong about her, Leo?" Eclipse retorted.

"Guys--"

Suddenly, something slammed the ShellRaiser, flipping the vehicle over onto its side. The seven teens pulled themselves out, only to find themselves surrounded by TigerClaw and Razar, who had their eyes set on the bag. "Don't let them get the helmet!" Boy Danger called, drawing one of his twin swords while Raphael slung the bag over his shoulder.

TigerClaw flew straight for Raphael with his jetpack, but Donatello used his staff to toss Michelangelo into the air. The orange masked mutant turtle kicked the tiger to the ground. The tiger picked himself up, charging with a sword, but Raphael blocked with his sais and threw the bag to his brother.

Boy Danger leapt back to avoid Razar's attack and while he was distracted, Donatello slammed his staff on his head. But Razar recovered quickly and lunged at him, but Eclipse delivered a hard kick that knocked him down. 

"Come on!" Leonardo called out to them, jumping for the fire escape. Donatello climbed up the ladder as the others followed.

"Heads up, D. Hot potatoes." Michelangelo tossed the bag to Eclipse.

Donatello caught it easily. "Got it."

Raphael, Boy Danger, Eclipse, Michelangelo, and Captain Violet joined them on the roof next. Razar climbed up the wall and TigerClaw flew up, but Captain Violet used her sword to cut the A/C unit of the building, shoving it over the edge with Boy Danger helping her as the unit then tumbled down and landed on the mutant tiger, and crashed to the ground. Leonardo led them around a billboard to escape Razar, only to find themselves faced with FishFace. Right when they turned to find another escape, Stockman-fly blocked them from that direction.

"I believe you have something we need." FishFace said, his blade out.

"Deodorant?" Boy Danger retorted.

They scattered as FishFace leapt to attack them and the mutant fish went after the purple masked mutant turtle, who tossed the bag to Boy Danger just as he was kicked in the side, landing hard on his stomach. Boy Danger bolted from the mutant fly, and Michelangelo caught him with his chain but then, Stockman-fly lifted him off the ground, swinging him around in the air until he tossed him onto the roof and on top of FishFace. Michelangelo rolled away from him as the others backed up.

"Eh, watch it, Buzzkill!" FishFace shook his fist in the fly's direction.

"Oh! Buzzkill! That's what we should have totally called him." Michelangelo said excitedly.

Stockman-fly flew at them, spitting his acidic saliva and missing with every shot. Boy Danger dodged the spit, still holding onto the backpack that held the Kabuto.

"Dude's got a gazillion eyes. You'd think his aim would be better." Michelangelo complained.

"Uh, I don't think he was aiming for us." Captain Violet admitted.

The sound of creaking metal grabbed their attention as Leonardo and Boy Danger turned to see the billboard falling before crashing down on top of the others. "NO!" The two yelled.

Both Leonardo and Boy Danger bolted for the billboard, and Leonardo kicked the mutant fish away from the billboard. With the mutant fish back, both Leonardo and Boy Danger tried lifting the billboard but it wouldn't budge. 

"It's no use, guys," Eclipse said. "Just go."

"Save Karai," Raphael said. "We'll take care of ourselves."

But the two leaders hesitated, neither one of them wanted to leave them behind. Then, the two looked over to see not just TigerClaw, Razar, Stockman-fly, and FishFace there but Soren, Isabella, Cameron, Noelle, and Tyson there as well. Boy Danger glanced down at the bag he held tightly in his hands before glancing up at their enemies then turning his head at Leonardo. "I'll lead them away, get them out from under there." He said. 

Leonardo nodded. "Got it."

"Hey, guys!" Boy Danger called out towards their enemies, holding up the bag for a minute. "You want the helmet? Come and get me!" He turned and bolted, slinging the bag over his shoulder. He swung down the fire escape and into an alleyway, taking off. He swerved into a street, then down another alley.

Boy Danger waited into an open dumpster and grabbed the nearest object, which happened to be a rotten banana, tossing it at a trashcan before closing the lid. He waited and as he did, he didn't dare to breathe in there while hearing the sound of footsteps run past outside. Even after the noise faded, he waited until they were fully gone before lifting the lid.

Suddenly, his nose twitched at a scent that smelt awful. "Oh, no, don't tell me that-- ugh! Diapers!?" He tossed it off his head and back into the dumpster, then jumped out. "Okay, that's disgusting." He froze when his ears pricked at the sound of laughter as he looked around. "And now, it's the invisible guy. Alright, dude, just come on out already."

Boy Danger managed to spot the guy through some steam and kicked him to the pavement. His invisibility flickered out, revealing himself to be a thin, athletic, African-American male. He wore a Tron-inspired suit with a purple visor and a purple energy mohawk, and he had eyeglasses on as well. He turned his head to see Shredder's henchmen coming after him and smirked. 

"Nice haircut, buddy." He pulled Zeck to his feet, placing the bag around his neck. "Here's your bag. Now, have fun with your friends." He gave him a shove towards the henchmen before turning around and bolted off with a smirk as he left Zeck behind at their mercy.

BOY DANGER LANDED on the outside of Shredder's lair as he took a glance around, holding the real Kabuto in his hands. He slipped into the throne room through the same broken window as last time and knowing that all of the henchmen were out, he dropped down to the path.

"Why does the fly walk into the spider's web?" Shredder asked, stepping into view.

"Because all the spider's henchmen are out." Boy Danger responded, holding up the helmet for him to see.

"Ah, you've come to make a trade?"

"The helmet for Karai."

Shredder nodded to a Foot Bot, who stepped out of sight. "Very well. She'll have to be brought up from the dungeon."

Boy Danger narrowed his eyes at him. "You're telling me that you raised her from infancy and now you lock her in a cell? How can you do that?" He paused. "Actually, don't answer that. I already know you're a psychopath."

"In any conflict, the winner is the one who is prepared to do what the loser is not."

A Foot Bot dropped Karai beside the throne, a bag over the girl's head. "Let me go!"

"Now, the Kuro Kabuto." Shredder commanded.

"Yeah, right!" Boy Danger said with a scoff. "How do I know you won't attack me as soon as I give you the helmet?"

"Of course I'm going to attack you. Did you think you were getting out of this without a fight?"

Boy Danger rolled his eyes and placed the helmet on the ground. Shredder roared, charging at him while Boy Danger side-stepped, aiming a spin-kick for his chest. He grabbed his foot and swung him around, throwing him to the ground. Boy Danger leapt back onto his feet and ran at him before he jumped back to avoid Shredder's gauntlet and when the man charged at him, Boy Danger slammed a fist into his jaw, sending the villain back. 

Boy Danger smirked a little. "Okay, not gonna lie, that felt good."

Shredder rubbed his jaw and charged at him again. Boy Danger blocked the incoming punch but Shredder then countered him with the Death Dragon and swept him off his feet. He sprang to his feet and before he could react, Shredder was quick enough to deliver a hard kick at Boy Danger's ribcage, causing him to stumble back but not before Shredder had kicked him to the wall. 

"Pathetic." Shredder drove his blade toward his face and Boy Danger jerked his head to the side as the blade plunged into the wall, missing his head by an inch. "But that is to be expected when your sensei is a weak-willed coward like Splinter. You never should have tried to do this alone."

"He didn't."

Shredder turned his attention to the five mutant turtles and Captain Violet standing behind him. Leonardo held the helmet in one hand while his brothers and sisters had their weapons drawn. 

"Guys!" Boy Danger called. 

"Couldn't let you have all the fun." Raphael said.

"And none of us wanted to tell Splinter we didn't try to save his daughter." Donatello added.

"Now, let's take Shred-head down." Michelangelo said.

"Let our brother and our sister go!" Leonardo threw several of his shurikens at Shredder.

Shredder dodged the shurikens, releasing Boy Danger. He charged at Leonardo. "Give me that helmet."

Leonardo threw the helmet over Shredder's head, drawing his katanas to block the blades. Shredder kicked him in the chest, knocking him back. Boy Danger caught the helmet and Donatello charged at Shredder, spinning his staff. He spun away and kicked him away then raised his blades to finish him, but Eclipse slid between them and caught the blades with his kamas. 

Donatello got to his feet as Eclipse was kicked away and this time, Michelangelo and Captain Violet charged. Shredder caught the punch and nunchuck that both Michelangelo and Captain Violet and kicked the two away. Leonardo ran at him from behind and Shredder turned as he jumped over his head, only to take a kick to his back. The seven of them began retreating up the steps toward the throne.

"You fools really believe you can defeat me?" Shredder snapped.

"No," Captain Violet responded as Leonardo lifted Karai onto his back. "But we kept you busy long enough to get Karai."

Shredder snarled. "You'll never get out of here alive!"

"You want it? Take it!" Boy Danger said as he threw the helmet at him.

Shredder caught it, only to see the smoke bomb that Boy Danger had placed inside. "What?" The smoke bomb went off, blinding the man and allowing them to escape.

ONCE THE SEVEN teens were far enough away, Leonardo set Karai down on the rooftop. "Thanks, guys." Boy Danger said.

"We had to come, Danger," Eclipse responded. "You and Leo are our leaders, right?"

"Eh, more or less." Both Boy Danger and Leonardo said in unison, the three of them fist-bumped.

"Now, let's get her out of this sack." Leonardo said, pulling the bag off of Karai's head, only to find it wasn't her at all as they all screamed, startled.

"That's not Karai! It's a bomb!" Donatello yelled.

"No, duh, genius!" Raphael snapped. "What else does it look like?"

"JUMP!" Captain Violet shouted.

The seven teens bolted. The bomb went off behind them, sending them flying over the edge of the roof as they crashed onto the ground below them.

"Okay, so, our first attempt to save Karai didn't work out, but we're not giving up just yet. Anyways, remember that thief? Yeah, you might want to remember him for later cause he's pretty important."
