"You didn't think that Slash and Max were actually gone for good, right? Not even close."

SHURIKENS HAD EMBEDDED themselves in the rooftop as the kranng droids had dodged out of the way to avoid being hit. It was Raphael's turn to take a patrol shift and with him was none other than Kaz and Casey. 

"Kraang must evad those that pursue kraang."

Raphael jumped onto the fire escape that the droids were on, pinning the one with the briefcase against the wall. "Move it, you two!"

"I'm not the slow one here!" Kaz jumped into the alley, landing on the fire escape and taking the briefcase. 

"You think I'm on a midnight stroll?" Casey responded, jumping to the fire escape but his jump was a little short as he ended up grabbing the side, making the bolts pull free of the wall. The fire escape collapsed, and all three teens and the droid fell into the alley below, Kaz dropping the briefcase. The droid snatched the case, running off. 

"They're getting away with the plutonium!" Raphael called. "Can't lose them." He got up and ran after the bot, tripping over Casey while Kaz pushed himself to his feet. 

"Are you pulling my sai?" Raphael got back up, running after the droid. "Let's go!"

"I think I lost another tooth," Casey muttered. 

The three teens ran into another alley, taking quick notice of the broken droids. "What the--?"

"Uh, who could've done this?" Kaz questioned, kicking a broken droid. 

"And it keeps getting worse," Casey stated, flipping up his mask. "They took the plutonium. What do you think they need it for?"

"No idea," Raphael responded. "But whoever it was packed some serious firepower. Let's just hope they're on our side."

But what the neither one of the three teens realized was that a familiar mutant turtle was standing on the edge of a nearby roof, watching them with narrowed eyes. With him was a familiar brown-furred mutant dog watching the three teens as well, yet the mutant dog seemed to keep his gaze on the red masked mutant turtle the longest.

BY THE TIME that they had arrived back at the lair, they found the others watching Michelangelo play pinball. "Great use of your time," Raphael said. "While somebody else is out there busting the kraangs' brains in."

"And that somebody wasn't us." Casey added.

"Now, there's other vigilantes out there going after the kraang." Kaz finished.

Mara couldn't help but give a small groan. "Aw man, B and I missed out on the action?" She complained.

"Sounds good to me," Michelangelo said. "Less work for us."

"It's not good," Raphael stated. "The kraang stole plutonium. And whoever took them down stole it from them."

"Interesting," Donatello said. "Maybe Shredder's going after the kraang again."

"I don't think these were Shredder's guys." Raphael commented.

"Plus, the kraang are the ones giving him the Foot Bots in the first place." Henry reminded.

"Ha! I know exactly who's behind this!" Michelangelo stated.

"Don't even think about saying squirrels with lasers again." Eclipse warned.

"So, what do we do? Hunt down whoever's hunting the kraang?" Briana asked.

"I think we better blanket the area, keep an eye out," Leonardo responded. "Raph, Casey, Kaz, Mara, Briana, stick to the alleyways. Donnie and Mikey, take the rooftops. Henry, Clips, and I will take the sewers. We'll meet back at the lair at midnight."

RAPHAEL, CAPTAIN VIOLET, CASEY, Kaz, and Mara made their way down into an alley, looking around. "Think you can keep up with us this time, Jones?" Raphael asked. 

"What is your problem, Raph?" Casey retorted. "The whole fire escape thing?"

"Oh, boy." Captain Violet said quietly, sensing an argument. 

"Face it, Casey, street thugs and robo-ninjas are one thing. But alien threats from other dimensions are a whole different ball game."

"I took on Frosty the Snowman single-handedly while you and Kaz took on Cameron." Casey stated.

"Oh please, I took on a giant space worm single-handedly," Mara retorted. "You facing Kaz's crazy ex doesn't count."

"Weren't you single-handedly eaten by it?" 

"You ever fought living intestines, Jones?" Mara snapped. "I didn't think so."

"Bottom line, you're in over your head on this one, Casey. You too, Sparks."

"What about Kaz?" Mara questioned.

"I've been training, Mara, and I have powers too." Kaz reminded.

"Trust me, I might not have ninja training or powers, but I've achieved a level of awesome attainable only by Casey Jones." He flipped his mask down. "It's mystical."

"WOW," THE GOLDEN masked mutant turtle commented as she, Boy Danger, and Leonardo found themselves staring at a bunch of destroyed kraang-droids they had discovered during their search of the sewers. They continued to make their way down the tunnel, only to find more destroyed droids. 

"Whoever did this not only destroyed them, they obliterated them," Leonardo stated. 

Boy Danger felt his nose twitched at two scents that smelt familiar. The only problem was that the scents didn't belong to Leonardo or Eclipse. He looked around but stopped when he spotted two objects on the floor as he bent down and picked them up, his eyes widening when he realized what they were--and who they belonged to, as it made sudden sense why the two scents he smelt so familiar. 

"Uh, guys?" Boy Danger called and as the other two walked over, he showed them a piece of a shell and three strands of brown fur. The three of them shared uneasy looks as they realized who they were looking for. 

"Oh, no."

"IT'S THE KRAANG." Raphael stated as the five teens were standing on a roof above the droids. 

They made their way down to the street. Casey and Mara were about to run in head-first, but Raphael grabbed them and pulled them back. "Hold on, hotheads. Ninjas use stealth. Ever heard of it?" Slash and Max suddenly jumped down in front of the five of them, making them gasp. "Spike?" He questioned.

"Max?" Captain Violet questioned, her eyes widening at the sight of her old pet. 

"Whoa. Is that your old pet turtle and your old pet dog?" Casey asked. "The ones who got mutated?"

"Yeah. His name was Spike."

"It's Slash now, remember?" Slash said. "Good to see you two again, Raphael, Briana."

"Miss us?" Max questioned. 

"What are you two doing here, Max?" Captain Violet asked, refusing to let his question get the best of her. 

"We're taking care of the kraang," the large mutant dog responded. "We got a new partner now."

As if it was on cue, an explosion went off behind Slash and Max, the Newtralizer jumping down. "Destruction to the kraang!" He started shooting at the bots.

"Wicked." Mara said with a smirk.

"So awesome," Casey said, watching the newt. "Who is that?"

"An alien psycho called the Newtralizer," Raphael responded as Captain Violet pulled both Casey and Mara behind the wall again before they could get shot. "What are you guys doing, Slash?"

"What you guys couldn't: wiping out the kraang." Then, Slash and Max ran to join the fight. "Keep out of the way!"

By the time that Slash and Max had entered the fight, the Newtralizer had tipped over a white van and crawled inside the vehicle. "Alright, Vi and I will take Slash, Max, and Newtralizer while you three hang back and get--" he was cut off as both Casey and Mara had already sped into the fight.

"Aw, Casey!" Both Kaz and Raphael said in unison. 

"Mara!" Captain Violet shouted. 

"GOONGALA!" Casey shouted, going after the Newtralizer, only to get knocked into the street.

"LOOK OUT!" Kaz shouted, tackling him out of the way of an oncoming car.

Just as the Newtralizer had already found what he was looking for, tossing two devices to Slash and Max. Raphael had ran up to the mutant turtle, and the two of them locked their weapons together. Captain Violet rushed over to where Mara was, who was struggling a bit in her fight with the mutant dog. Then, Captain Violet leapt and tackled Mara out of the way just in time to avoid Max throwing her across the alley before she then leapt back onto her feet, spinning around as she took out her katana blade in time to block Max's own sword. 

"You and your brother got yourselves new partners, huh, Briana?" Max taunted, knocking the girl to the pavement. "What are you gonna do when yours lies to you? Gonna betray her the way you betrayed me?"

Captain Violet pushed herself back onto her feet. "You just can't let go of the past, can you, Max?" She blocked the oncoming punch when the large mutant dog tried to punch her.

Then, Max threw Captain Violet into a wall, then teleported away with Newtralizer and Slash just as Mara was about to hit him, making the girl fall and land on top of the purple haired girl. Captain Violet pulled herself up onto her feet once Mara had gotten off of her as the three other teens walked over to them. 

"You guys okay?" Raphael asked. 

"Yeah," Captain Violet said as she looked over at the destroyed droids. "But we're in deep trouble now."

ONCE THEY GOT back to the lair, everyone was gathered in the kitchen, watching as Donatello typed away on his laptop. Casey was sitting on one of the stools as he groaned. "My head. Raph, ice me."

Raphael opened the freezer, taking the icepack Ice Cream Kitty had held out for him and tossed it to the teenaged boy. "You guys should've never got involved, Casey, Mara. Slash, Max, and Newtralizer are way too powerful."

"Those three goons are nothing," Casey argued. "They lucked out. Won't happen again."

"Let's focus, people," Leonardo interrupted. "We got three crazy mutants running around blowing up the streets."

"I think we should shadow the kraang until they show up." Eclipse suggested. 

"Easy. Since Slash, Max, and Newtralizer are using plutonium to power their teleportation, we can look for traces of residual radiation," Donatello explained. The group looked at the red dots on the screen, only for the dots to get eaten by a snake. "Mikey, would you stop eating the kraang locations?"

"Hold on, Donnie," Michelangelo responded, moving a joystick around. "I'm about to get the high score. And..." Henry took the joystick from him. "Aww."

EVERYONE WAS JUMPING along the rooftops, perching themselves on a fire escape. "You think this is the place?" Leonardo asked, receiving an answer in the form of lasers being shot in the building. 

"This is the place, alright." Boy Danger commented. 

"Either that, or there's one banging party going on in there." Michelangelo responded.

"Come on, guys," Casey said, flipping his mask down. "Let's do this."

"Finally! Some action," Mara said with a smirk. 

"Whoa, whoa, hold up," Raphael said, stopping them from jumping down. "Who invited you guys on this stakeout, anyway?"

"Mara Sparks doesn't take orders from anybody." Mara said.

Casey shrugged off Raphael's hand. "Casey Jones invited himself."

"Someone has to keep Casey from getting himself killed." Kaz said, throwing a look at the black haired boy.

"What about Sparky over here?" Casey asked as he pointed over at Mara, only to receive raised brows as he realized the answer. "Oh, right, Violet."

They jumped down into the warehouse where the Newtralizer was hooked up to a kraang communication orb. "Whoa," Michelangelo said. "It's the Newtralizer. I totally named that guy."

"Actually, I named him," Donatello corrected, his brother mocking him. 

"Hit them hard and fast." Boy Danger told them. 

"Expect for you three, Casey," Raphael told the three other teens. "You guys hold back."

Then, the five mutants, Boy Danger, and Captain Violet dashed forward, attacking the two reptiles. Michelangelo, Leonardo, Raphael, Captain Violet, Eclipse, and Boy Danger focused on Newtralizer while Donatello landed on Slash's shell, only for the large turtle to knock him off. 

"Eager for another beatdown, Donatello?" Slash snapped. He lifted his mace to strike, only to get hit in the head with hockey pucks. He turned his attention at his attacker and growled. 

"Leave him alone!" Casey dashed to Slash, only for the huge turtle to grab his hockey stick and started swinging him backwards and forwards.

"Casey!" Raphael and Kaz shouted in unison. Just as Slash tossed Casey aside, both Kaz and Raphael went to help him, only for Slash to teleport away but then teleport behind them, giving Slash the chance to use his mace to hit the two across the room, landing a few feet from Casey.

Newtralizer threw a disc bomb above the teens, the bomb embedding itself into the stairs above. He then teleported away with Slash and Max. 

"Holy mackerel! Run!" Donatello shouted. 

They bolted for the window and jumped out. Casey got momentarily stuck, but managed to get out, the bomb exploding behind them. Debris from the roof fell and Captain Violet tackled Casey out of the way to save him from getting hit. The group groaned, everyone pushing themselves onto their feet. 

"You guys alright?" Leonardo asked. 

"Yeah, we're cool." Casey said.

"Cool!? You would've been flattened if it wasn't for Violet!" Raphael retorted.

"I've done the same for you, Raph!" Casey snapped back.

"Oh, yeah. When was that?"

Casey paused for a moment to think. "Like, dozens of times."

"If you didn't slow us down, they would've never gotten away."

"Are you kidding me!?"

"Why? You think this is a joke?"

"You know what, Raph?" Casey shoved past him, walking away. "Forget this. I'm out of here."

"Good. Just go."

"Good. I'm going!"

"Casey, wait. Hold on," Boy Danger called after him, sighing as he disappeared from sight. 

"We'll go after him and try to cool him down," Mara said as she and Kaz went after Casey.

Once they were gone from sight, the rest of the group turned to the red masked mutant turtle and stared at him with frowns.

"What?" Raphael questioned. "If he's gonna act like a baby, I don't want his help."

"Not cool, Raph," Michelangelo stated. "People have feelings, dude. Real squishy feelings."

"Well, I'm not people." Raphael responded.

"Okay, what's going on with you? You and Casey have had arguments before but not like this," Boy Danger questioned. 

"It's Spike--" Captain Violet started before she corrected herself. "Slash, I mean."

Raphael raised a brow. "What's this has to do with Slash?"

"You've been acting like this since we found out that Slash and Max are back. I don't want Mara to face Max because the last time we faced him, he tried to kill us--and I think it's the same thing with you but with Kaz, Casey, and Slash." Captain Violet said, receiving silence as an answer.

THE SEVEN TEENS found themselves back on another rooftop, having followed Donatello's lead. "This better be good, Donnie," Leonardo said. "What are we doing up here?"

"We are gonna listen in on everything Slash, Max, and the Newtralizer say," Donatello explained. "While I was wrestling with Slash, I slipped a spy-roach on him. We'll be able to hear everything they say through my T-phone." He laughed. "I know, awesome, right? I'm smart."

Eclipse shoved him. "Nice, and I thought you were just getting beat up." 

"Yeah, well, uh, I was multitasking." He set his phone so they could listen in on the three mutants.

"The kraang orb revealed a new weapon," Newtralizer said. "They're testing it on the docks at midnight. We can use it to wipe out the kraang once and for all. We can destroy this whole stinkin' city."

"And every innocent human with it. Are you crazy!? I'm here to take out kraang, not people."

Max scoffed at Slash's response. "In case you forget, the kraang are literally hiding out with those people. What are you gonna do about that? Expose yourself just to see which ones are kraang and which ones aren't?"

"Why should I care? I'm not people."

"Hmm. Sounds oddly familiar." Michelangelo stated.

"If it comes down to it, I won't take any chances, brothers."

"Okay, this just got real." Boy Danger commented.

Leonardo nodded in agreement. "Let's end this."

THEY WATCHED AS the kraang pulled the weapon through a portal. "Is that the new weapon they were talking about?" Michelangelo asked. "Oh, doesn't look like much." The weapon then stood, revealing itself to be much bigger than he thought. "Never mind."

They watched the kraang test the new weapon, blowing up a sea can.

"Here's the plan," Leonardo started, only to stop as they saw the Newtralizer teleport on top of the weapon. He got electrocuted, making him fall off the robot. He, Max, and Slash quickly started trashing the droids shooting at them.

"Slash, Max, keep the kraang busy," Newtralizer ordered. "I'm going for the walker."

"Kraang, attack all non-kraang. Repeat, attack--" the droid got destroyed before it could even finish its sentence.

The teens quickly jumped off the sea can they were on, joining the fight. The Newtralizer ran across the crates behind the walker and leapt up and landed on the antennae, damaging it and putting its defenses offline. The kraang in the walker was left with no way of shooting the alien from the roof. The roof shook as several pieces flew out, followed by smoke and the Newtralizer stood on top of the glass dome holding the kraang beneath. He grabbed the small pink alien and tossed him away, taking control of the walker with his feet. He aimed the blaster at the droids on the ground and they scattered to avoid the discharges.

"Kraang walker has been kraangjacked by the alien amphibian. Kraang, retreat, retreat." They began fleeing the area as Newtralizer laughed.

Newtralizer followed the remaining kraang in the new weapon he obtained, carelessly shooting in every direction. He even almost made the walker step on Slash and Max, though Raphael and Captain Violet tackled them out of the way. 

Max raised a brow at Captain Violet. "You just saved me. Why?" 

Captain Violet didn't answer as she, Max, Raphael, and Slash ducked as Newtralizer shot at them.

The Newtralizer laughed. "I'll destroy you all. Raka raka roka raka."

At the same time, both Slash and Max teleported themselves on top of the robot. "What are you doing!? They helped us fight the kraang." Slash said. 

"This is my battle," Newtralizer retorted. "I don't need them." Slash snarled, slamming his mace into the walker and trapping Newtralizer's tail in the torn metal. He tried to get himself loose, ending up being stuck. "Slash, how could you, brother?"

"You're no brother of mine," Slash responded.

Newtralizer lifted his arm to shoot at Slash, only for Raphael to throw a shuriken, breaking the gun and teleporter. The red masked mutant turtle jumped onto the weapon, only for the Newtralizer to start moving it, making Raphael, Max, and Slash fall off. 

"RAPH!" Michelangelo ended up running under Raphael, his brother landing on top of him. "Caught ya, bro."

"Raka raka raka." Newtralizer powered up the weapon, aiming it at the group. "Raka raka roka raka."

WITH A SMIRK, she looked over at the two teenaged boys. "Who's ready to play some hockey?" 

"This is gonna be easy." Kaz told her with a smirk. 

"GOONGALA!"

Puck bombs started flying at the Newtralizer, making everyone look up at the three teens in surprise. "Mara?" Captain Violet asked, a relieved look on her face.

"Casey? Kaz? You're back?" Raphael asked. 

Kaz smirked. "We would've shown up sooner but Casey wanted to wait for you guys to be in trouble, just so he could make an awesome heroic entrance."

"Pretty cool, right?" Casey responded, his own smirk on his face.

With a newfound confidence within, everyone charged at the weapon and attacked once more. Everyone went for the legs, knowing that their key was to make the weapon fall over. In order to avoid getting hit by the blasts, everyone ran back and Kaz looked up at the walker for a moment before he took one of Casey's exploding pucks and his hockey stick. He dropped it onto the stick, flipped it through the air a few times, and caught it again. He tossed it gently into the air, drew back his arm, and swung, sending the puck flying toward the walker. It dropped through a small port and into the walker. 

With no idea of what Kaz had just did, the Newtralizer continued to laugh. The explosion went off, and the alien newt looked around for the source. More explosions rang out and the walker's top portion jumped up and crashed back onto the lower portion. It started to wobble and as the Newtralizer lost control, the alien newt tried to flee but was unable to free himself from the twisted metal encasing his legs. He started hitting his broken teleporter as the walker swayed violently. Newtralizer faded in and out as the teleporter tried to comply, until he disappeared. Then, the walker exploded into a pink cloud that rained down on them. 

"Aw, yeah! You've been Newtralized, son!" Michelangelo cheered. He and the others were celebrating their victory with high-fives while Raphael was walking off with Slash and Captain Violet with Max. 

"Uh, Max, thanks," Captain Violet said with a soft smile on her face. "Hey, you know, there's always room on the team for one more--or two, in this case, if Slash comes along. We could always use the extra help in taking the kraang down."

"Thanks for the offer, Briana, but... I gotta go my own way. I'm better off solo," Max said while the smile on Captain Violet's face disappeared immediately. "Besides, this team is where you belong, not me." He gave her a small smile. "Who knows, maybe we'll see each other again one day." Max then turned towards the others. "I'll see you all again. Someday." He activated his teleporter and vanished. 

"Goodbye... Spike."

"Bye, Max..."

"Don't sweat it, Raph." Kaz said as he and Casey went over to him as the two placed a hand on the mutant turtle's shoulders, spinning him around to wrap him in a side hug.

"Yeah, you still got Casey Jones and Kaz on your team." Casey finished.

"You two did awesome, guys," Raphael said with a smile. "Best partners a turtle could ask for."

Mara smirked as she swung an arm around Captain Violet's shoulder, leaning against her best friend. "No worries, Vi. I'm on your team, we're B and M."

Captain Violet gave her a soft smile. "Thanks, M." She said as she held up a fist bump. "You in?"

"Girl, you know I'm in." Mara said as the two then shared a fist-bump, calling out in unison. "Pound it!"

"It's been a long day, guys. Let's go home." Leonardo said.

"Anger and fire. Raphael and Casey--two sides of the same Janus coin and Kaz was that Janus coin. But one thing was certain; Raphael, Casey, and Kaz--now and forever, had been forged. Light and anger, me and Mara; two sides of the same Janus coin. But one thing was certain; me and Mara--B and M, now and forever, had been forged as well. We walked through the fire and survived, but the fire was still burning and it didn't look like it would be ending anytime soon, but there was a light at the end of the tunnel and with just enough hope, we can make it."
