Episode 2
Chapter 2 -
The heavy door creaks softly as you push it open, stepping into the classroom. The air is thick with the faint scent of chalk and the low hum of whispered conversations. All eyes turn to you as you enter, the weight of their curiosity pressing against you like a physical force.
At the front of the room stands Aizawa, his tall, lanky frame draped in his usual black attire, his capture weapon loosely hanging around his neck. His dark eyes flicker toward you, and for a brief moment, a faint smile tugs at the corners of his mouth. But it's gone as quickly as it appeared, replaced by his usual stoic expression.
"You must be our new student," he says, his voice low and gravelly, carrying an air of authority. "I'm Aizawa, and I'll be your homeroom teacher."
He gestures toward the class with a lazy wave of his hand, his movements deliberate and unhurried. "This is your new class. Go and sit by Izuku, the kid with the green hair."
Your gaze follows his gesture, landing on a boy with messy green hair and wide, nervous eyes. Izuku Midoriya. He stiffens visibly as you approach, his hands fidgeting with the edge of his notebook. The whispers around the room grow louder, snippets of conversation reaching your ears.
"Who is she?"
"Did you see the way Aizawa-sensei looked at her?"
"I heard she's some kind of prodigy."
You ignore the murmurs, your expression calm and composed as you make your way to the empty seat beside Izuku. He offers you a tentative smile, his voice barely above a whisper as he says, "H-hi. I'm Izuku. It's nice to meet you."
You nod in acknowledgment, sliding into your seat just as Aizawa's voice cuts through the chatter like a knife.
"Okay, enough," he says, his tone sharp and commanding. The room falls silent almost instantly, the weight of his presence enough to quell even the most restless students. "Let's continue with our class."
As Aizawa turns back to the board, you feel the weight of dozens of eyes still lingering on you. But you keep your gaze forward, your expression unreadable. The whispers may continue, the curiosity may burn, but for now, you're here to learn. And if the occasional glance from Izuku or the curious stares from your classmates are any indication, your presence at U.A. is already making waves.
SCENEBREAK
Shota Aizawa stood at the front of the class, his tired eyes scanning the room as he explained the day's activity. "Today, you'll be participating in a Quirk Apprehension Test," he said, his voice low and gravelly. "This will help me assess your abilities, especially since most of you haven't been able to use your Quirks freely in middle school."
The class erupted into murmurs of excitement and nervous chatter. Aizawa's sharp gaze silenced them almost instantly. "This isn't a game," he warned. "Your performance here will determine your future in this class. Don't take it lightly."
Then, his eyes landed on you. "You," he said, his tone casual but carrying an edge of curiosity. "Newbie. You wanna show the class what you got?"
All eyes turned to you, the weight of their expectations pressing down like a physical force. You nodded, stepping forward without hesitation. The class watched in silence as you formed a ball of energy in your hand, the air around it crackling faintly. The ball pulsed with a soft, otherworldly glow, its energy warm and alive against your palm.
You took a deep breath, steadying yourself, and then hurled the ball into the sky with all your might. It soared upward, a streak of light against the blue expanse, before arcing back down and landing with a soft thud in the distance. There was no explosion, no dramatic impact—just the quiet hum of energy dissipating into the air.
For a moment, the class was silent, their expressions a mix of awe and confusion. Then, a student with spiky red hair and sharp, shark-like teeth broke the silence.
"How?" he stuttered, his crimson eyes wide with amazement. A grin spread across his face, revealing rows of pointed teeth. "That was just so cool!"
The class erupted into chatter once more, their voices overlapping as they tried to make sense of what they'd just seen. Some looked impressed, others skeptical, but all of them were undeniably intrigued.
Aizawa's lips twitched, the faintest hint of a smirk tugging at the corners of his mouth. "Not bad," he said, his tone neutral but with a glint of approval in his eyes. "But don't get too comfortable. This is just the beginning."
You stepped back, returning to your place beside Izuku, who was staring at you with wide, curious eyes. "That was amazing," he whispered, his voice filled with genuine admiration. "Your Quirk is incredible!"
You offered him a small smile, your expression calm but tinged with a quiet confidence. The Quirk Apprehension Test had only just begun, and already, you'd made an impression.
