T H I R T Y - N I N E

Jungkook hummed, looking down at his phone which had Taehyung's face on it. He was finally walking home from school, FaceTiming Taehyung while at it.

The aforementioned didn't attend school because his back ached and Jeongguk wasn't able to because of his suspension so he stayed home and played Fortnite, playing along with Taehyung — and not by getting into his pants.

"What cartoon do you want to watch when I get home, Kitten?" Asked Jungkook, his earbuds shoved into his ears so he could focus on to what only Taehyung was saying.

"We can just throw on a random movie, we don't need to keep watching my cartoons. Jiminie-hyung likes to watch them too sometimes." Taehyung said, having his own earbuds in.

Jeongguk threw his arms into the air. "Aye! I got a Victory Royal!" He announced, looking back at Taehyung. "Oh, you weren't watching me." He frowned.

The red-head picked his head up, tilting his head. "What?" He didn't hear what Jeongguk said too clearly, looking at the screen. "Aw! You won again!" He smiled. "You did good! What weapon did you use?" Taehyung didn't like violence and preferred less harmful games but he was always proud when Jeongguk won a match.

Jeongguk knew that about Taehyung, wondering if he would want Taehyung to see him kill characters in a game. He just smiled. "I got them by a trap," he lied, not wanting to mention how he shotgunned them down in the face.

"Good job, Ggukie! I'm proud of you!" He said with a wide box-like smile. "Keep up the good work! I'm FaceTiming Kookie!" Taehyung turned the phone around to show Jeongguk his brother who waved.

Jeongguk nodded. "You keep doing that and I'll play. Do you want to play a round?" He teased, smirking to Taehyung who merely blushed.

"No, last time I tried to play, I ended up- no, just no." Taehyung giggled, turning back to his phone. "Kookie, when will you be home?" He asked, parting his red locks. "I miss you so much, I want to cuddle with you! Hey! Hey! When you get here, can we go get ice cream? I want-"

"Strawberry ice cream, yes, I know. Sure, we can go head out for some ice cream when I get there." Jungkook said, fixing his coat. "You seem so excited. Also, since I'm talking to you now, I should mention that Jimin was looking for you." He shrugged.

"Do you know why?" Taehyung inquired, pushing out his bottom lip. "Was it important? Serious? Was he upset? What did you tell him?"

"Little Kitten, stop asking so many questions. He just asked where you were, he didn't tell me why he needed you. You're going to stress yourself out, Kitten."

"Why do you insist on calling me Kitten? Little Kitten at that. Aren't I older than you?" Taehyung giggled. "Shouldn't you be calling me hyung?"

"Ew, me? Call you 'hyung'? That's ridiculous, Tae Baby." Jungkook snickered, calling Taehyung a nickname he hadn't been called in three years. "You act younger than me. Maybe not younger than Jeongguk but- actually, yeah, you act younger than us. I'll call you Kitten. It's cute."

Taehyung rolled his eyes. "What about Jiminie? He's older and ACTS older, you still don't call him hyung,"

"He's short, he also doesn't care that we don't call him hyung, it doesn't bother him." Jungkook mumbled. "I'll be home really soo-"

The Jeon Twin was looking up, pursing his lips as he scrunched his eyebrows. He looked confused. "Kookie?" He heard Taehyung call his name but couldn't find it in him to look down and answer.

In a mere moment, a split second, Jungkook was knocked to the ground, his phone dropped facing the sky. The loud noise caused Taehyung to rip the earbuds out of his ears, wincing.

He was quick to look at his phone, unplugging the earbuds so he could hear. He wish he didn't hear because he heard name calling and punches being thrown and puffs of hair leaving someone's mouth.

"What are you watching?" Asked Jeongguk, turning around to see but Taehyung was fumbling, getting off of the bed to rush to Gguk's side. "J-Jungkook! He dropped his phone!" He said, handing it phone to the other twin.

Jeongguk listened, hearing everything.

"You think you can get away with this shit?!" Someone yelled.

"This is what you get for hurting Suwun, prick!" Another said.

The voices were different but all boys. Jeongguk got angered, pushing out of his seat. He threw the phone back at Taehyung with little thought. "Where is he?" He asked in a dooming voice.

"I-I don't know," Taehyung uttered out to Jeongguk, biting on his bottom lip. He jumped when Jeongguk grabbed him by his collar. "Are you serious? You don't know where the fuck Kook is? What type of boyfriend are you!"

If Taehyung wasn't Jeongguk's main priority, it was definitely Jungkook, his twin brother who he hadn't spent not even a whole day without. He tugged on his shoes, not bothering to tie them.

Taehyung wanted to help but his heart stung. He tried to hide the ache he felt, tugging on his own shoes. "I want to help too," he said, keeping his phone on.

"Why? So you can just get yourself hurt? You can't even protect yourself from Suwun and he was the weakest on the football team. Yeah right, Tie-fuck, stay here, won't you? Make sure the house doesn't burn down or something." Jeongguk took the phone back, snatching it from Taehyung's palms before he left his bedroom.

"Kook, where are you?" He spoke into the phone, stumbling down the steps and out of the house, slamming the door behind him. He heard grunting from the other end, his heart pounding.

"I'm coming, Kook, fucking shout where you are so I can kill these pricks for hurting you!" He shouted, speeding down the street.

He recalled on how Taehyung was talking about how when Jungkook got home that they could go out for ice cream or whatever, he wanted to figure that Kook was nearby somewhere.

Jeongguk got nothing from the phone. He was groaning, trying to keep calm and collected. He was destined to kill any mother fucker who dared hurt his brother. His twin was his other half, quite literally.

He looked at the phone, seeing slight movement. He saw someone's arm and soon their face but not long enough to tell who it was.

"Come on, he'll learn to never fuck with Suwun or us again," said one of the guys. The voice sounded familiar but Jeongguk couldn't put his tongue on it.

All the rumbling and hitting and talking stopped, leaving grunting the only thing to be heard on the other end. Jeongguk gulped. "Kook?" He called into the phone.

"I-I'm by . . . What's that place called? Ugh, fuck," Jungkook finally was able to mutter into the phone. "I'm fine, I-I just have a headache right now . . . And m-my stomach hurts." He breathed.

Jeongguk 'tsk'ed. "Shut up and just tell me where you are so I can come get you and we can go find the pricks who hurt you. I'm sick of this dumb shit. I blame fucking Taehyung. If it weren't for Ho-Shit and that Jamless midget bringing him to our fucking party, none of this would've happened. You wouldn't be fucking hurt and I wouldn't have been suspended."

Jungkook knew that Jeongguk was angry and just saying all of this. He pushed up slowly, groaning. "Bangtan Road, by that album place, BigHit or whatever." He rubbed his head gently.

"I hate this shit, fuck, Kook. If this is going to be constant, I want nothing to do with Taehyung and his shit-face friends." Jeongguk said, starting to walk down to the said place, anger fueling him.

"You're going a-a little overboard, Gguk. H-He didn't know," Jungkook winced out, his body aching and bruising. He felt weak and shaky, unable to push up on his own.

He didn't break anything, he just was in pain. He had bruises all over him, his back aching from being kicked and punched and stomped on. "C-Calm down,"

"Calm down? You sound stupid! You just got jumped! I'll be there in a moment, don't move!" Jeongguk shouted into the phone before he hung up, shaking his head.

He kept walking, looking over street signs. Jeongguk saw the sign that clearly read, 'Bangtan Road'. He sighed, looking around, being aware of the people he may see or even for his brother.

It was amazing no one had witnessed this. Or they were just too pussy to do something. It wasn't everyday someone got jumped in such a friendly neighborhood.

Jeongguk turned the corner to see Jungkook clutching at his head, sitting with his back against the wall of a closed down store, holding onto his cracked phone.

The ravenette rushed to the other's side, pulling him close and embracing him. "Are you okay? Did they break something? Are you able to walk? Are you bleeding?"

"You act like I was shot," Jungkook chuckled, looking up. "I'm fine, just bruised up and sore," he muttered, seeing the anger written across the face of his identical brother.

Jeongguk helped him up, picking up his phone, looking over his face. "Geez, who did it? I want to fuck up whoever it is that hurt you!" Gguk commented.

"No, I'm so fucking sick of all of this fighting. The fighting gets us to more fights." Jungkook muttered, shaking his head. "No more fights,"

"This would have never happened if Taehyung never showed his face. High-Soaks and Toe Jam are at fault for even bringing the fuck." Jeongguk spat.

Jungkook sighed. "You can't keep calling them names. Taehyung isn't at fault. This happened by chance. Surely it would've been different if Tae wasn't here but he's our boyfriend. Calm down, okay?"

Jeongguk sighed. "I regret talking to him and inviting him to the game," he said with a low, emotionless voice. He was beyond angry.
