E I G H T Y

The rest of the night moved on smoothly. Jokes were made, smiles were shared, and everyone got along for the additional half of it. Jeongguk remembered telling the table that he had never smiled so hard in his life, his cheeks aching and red from the amount of smiling he was contributing to.

It was actually upsetting when the night came to an end. Each of them had a great time after everyone settled in and returned to the table.

It was almost shameful that it was time for everyone to go their own ways. They would eventually see each other again on Monday when the new school week would start up.

After the twins had dropped off Jimin and Hoseok off, they were driving late in the night, both in a good mood.

"Had fun?" Jungkook asked slyly, knowing the answer pretty damn well. "After throwing a fit and returning to the table?"

"Oh, I had a great time. I'm glad I came back in. I'm sorry I fucked up the first time but that was just so much fun." Jeongguk said as his hand hung out the car window. "Did you?"

"Of course I did. I had fun before you decided to walk out." Jungkook joked around, feeling the joyful vibe. "What did Taehyung tell you?"

Jeongguk's smile flattered but it was lingering on his thin lips as he recalled the soft-felt words Taehyung whispered to him. How genuine, caring, and gentle they were. "My . . . You just need to listen to how much passion he puts in his words as he tell us he loves us. I could listen to his soulful voice for hours and hours on end, look at his pretty lips as he speaks from his heart."

"Damn," Jungkook uttered. "We have bad, don't we?"

"Kook, when I say I never imagined me falling this hard for someone, I mean it. He does something to my heart that I never thought I could feel. I know I'm a dickhead, I know I can really seem heartless, but Taehyung really just . . . Ugh, I can't express the right words to describe how I feel. Everyday my heart grows in size. I know it hasn't been too long being with him but it's just . . . He's perfect in every aspect imaginable."

Jungkook listened as Jeongguk spilled his heart into a million pieces. He really felt each and every vowel he spoke, his spine receiving chills as he related to everything he said. He felt his own heart skip multiple beats just at the thought of Taehyung's pretty boxy smile and his precious eyes as they sparkled when he spoke. "We got lucky with him."

"Lucky is an understatement. We scored a jackpot or something. I really don't think we deserve him . . . He needs the whole world handed to him." Jeongguk said with dazed eyes. He didn't know where the sudden admissions bursted from but the real question was, did he lie?

The younger twin took a glance over and let his wide, bunny-like grin fall. "Hey, Gguk," he started, wetting his lips. "About earlier . . . Me telling you that you weren't a good older brother or whatever I said, I didn't mean it."

"It's okay if you did. I wasn't exactly the best influence and I was all you had besides mom but she was hooked on the fact that dad would go back to her for her."

"It's not okay and I didn't mean it. I just didn't want you getting away, the whole scene was uncalled for and going back and forth, it was unnecessary." Jungkook said with a tone of dismay. "I really didn't mean it. I wouldn't pick anyone else in the world to be my other half; my older brother. You taught me more than the useless excuse of a father we had ever did. Just know I didn't mean what I said."

Jeongguk really felt how genuine he was and gave a hesitant nod. "Your other half?" He repeated. "You sound like those cheesy couple quotes that you would find on Tumblror Pinterest." He teased, seeing his brother roll his eyes.

"You just had to do it. Take a sweet, loving, brother-to-brother moment and ruin it with your bullshit." Jungkook chuckled.

"Oh! C'mon! You could tell in your face that the moment you said it, you wanted to take it back and say something else! That was cheesy as all hell and you know it!"

"Really? Okay, Mr. We-Scored-With-A-Jackpot! Like you weren't just reading a whole damn poem. I don't want to hear it, Gguk." Jungkook said, his cheeks killing him from being so stretched into his wide, iconic smile that everyone loved to look at.

The raven-haired twin made a 'tsk'ing sound, shaking his head in defeat. "In my defense, Tae really had me in my feelings and I just needed to express them with you. You were agreeing with it so guess it don't matter what I said, we both shared that now."

"I don't remember agreeing to shit, Gguk, I think you're going to have to take that all on your own. I love Tae, trust me, but I prefer keeping my poetic-ness inside."

Jeongguk didn't know what more he could say, a smile still settled on his face. Damn, wasn't he lucky? He felt so happy, so incredibly joyful. Jungkook was really his brother, Taehyung was really his boyfriend, Jimin, Yoongi, Hoseok, Namjoon, and Seokjin were really all of his friends. He had a group of unique individuals who made sure he knew it was okay to be himself.

He could sit in the car and reminisce with his brother for ages. Talking about everything that has happened to them, from the first chapter to the eighth.

"We really met Taehyung at one of our parties." Jeongguk brought up. He wanted to talk about it; about their pasts.

"We haven't thrown a party since." Jungkook replied, stopping at a red light on a dead street. He leaned back and took a look over at his brother who seemed high off of happiness. "Why do you say?"

"Just . . . Remember the stupid bet you made with him? Who could run faster? I recalled everyone talking about it that whole week, you standing on that table in front of everyone while ripping your shirt off. I'll never forget the video you sent to me of Taehyung in his cheer outfit. Too bad he never wore it to a game."

"You wanted to go and break your neck, at that point, he had no purpose wearing it or joining the team." He pushed on the gas pedal once the light switched to green, facing the road again so he wouldn't crash.

They were driving slow in the night, just not wanting to go home yet. They didn't need to voice that much, using their twin code, they both knew going home wasn't an option just yet.

"It's not like I dove on my neck into the turf to purposely break my neck, those big bitches slammed into me!" Jeongguk defended himself.

Jungkook hummed. "Mhmm, sure, Gguk." He turned left, basically riding his break down the hill to go slower. "Just like you didn't purposely get on Hoseok's nerves to start fights and arguments."

"Sometimes I get antsy and need to let out built up anger."

"Wait," Jungkook tried for hide his laugh, making a quick connection. "You purposely caused fights? Really?"

"I couldn't get over the fact that our fight was a tie so if I had the opportunity to beat his ass, I was taking it by all means." Jeongguk shrugged. "That's between us. Don't tell Taehyung, he'll make me write the dude paragraphs on how apologetic I am."

"I can't believe you never told me that. You really would pick fights just to pick them."

"I never wanted to hurt Hunchback's feelings, I just wanted to beat his ass for the win." Jeongguk cleared. "Plus, all the built up anger from coach and whatnot was getting to me so if I could've just got one good punch, it would be worth it."

Jungkook sucked has teeth in thought, squinting his eyes ever so slightly. "Hoseok isn't a bad guy, you know that, right?"

Jeongguk nodded. "I been knew. He is just the most fun to piss off."

"Why?"

"Well, we can go back and forth and the insults are pretty good. If I did it to Jimin, not only would Tae be pissed off but you would too because he's your bestie."

"He is not."

"Is too! You're the one who personally invited him to the party."

"And good thing I did." Jungkook said finally. "I got us our boyfriend."

"Yeah right, I invited him to the game."

"Don't you mean me? You're the one who wanted me to sell the ticket so bad to him."

"Exactly. To him."

"Dude, I literally bought his ticket and convinced him to come. I got us our boyfriend. You just don't want to admit it. You get everything, let me have this one." Jungkook sulked, pulling up in front of their house, shutting off his car and then turning to face his identical twin brother.

"I know how to solve this." Gguk said, smirking.

Kook rolled his eyes. "Fine." He said, using their twin code together.

Jeongguk and Jungkook whipped out their fists, placing them in the palms of their other hands. Their bodies faced one another, both looking down at the intense game they were about to partake in.

"Rock, paper, scissor, SHOOT!"
