Chapter sixteen,
her goodbye letters
▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂
"WON'T HE SEE THE EARPIECE?" Naomi worriedly asked Mark Kincaid, all of them were just standing beside a black vehicle, with her boyfriend who was beside her and had his hand intertwined with hers.
She was so terrified for tonight, she didn't want to be back in this eerier area, especially walking back into that shrine that just holds so much creepy shit.
Mark Kincaid who was just fixing the earpiece into her ear, "You'll have you're cloak and mask on, so once you remove the attire your hair will just travel back down, and he won't see it. . ." He gently reassured the girl that was in front of him, "He's more so worried about avenging him, and in his very own eyes, he won't expect this from you." He retorted.
Naomi just had a saddened look, "Why? Because I'm nothing, but a weakling person?" She simply had hunched her back, exhaling her breath.
Mark sighed, perhaps he should've worded his sentence better. He cautiously sat beside her in the ends of his car trunk, but he noticed how she instantly scooted away from him, and he paused, again. Naomi didn't even like being around men beside Chad. So, he had remained in his same spot, and not moving himself so he wouldn't make her uncomfortable.
He gently spoke to the girl, "No. Naomi, that's not what I was inclining. You carry this innocent look in your eyes that he won't expect this from you. . ." He cautiously began, "You fooled him for this long, and had him believing that you're with them, but you're not. That was a smart move, Naomi. You're really smart." He complimented the girl.
She had shrugged her shoulders, "I didn't have all the help, he helped me too." She had whispered.
He raised his eyebrow, "Who?"
She shook her head at his question to know who, "Nothing, nothing. Is there anything else you need? Should I go in there already?" She hesitantly asked him.
He paused himself speaking, "I have to make sure that you can hear us, so hold on a second." He stood up, and had walked towards the front of the vehicle to check his computer, with all of the volumes and everything.
She somehow remained sitting in the car trunk, she was deep in thought until she had noticed her boyfriend approaching her, "Are you okay with doing all of this, Naomi?" He is so damn worried for her, especially with doing all of this.
She had slowly glanced up at him, he can easily notice the fear written in her eyes, "No, but if this is the only way that I can officially end this, I'll do it." She had called out with her voice cracking, "They've ruined my life for so long, and forced me into avenging his death, all of them chose him over me." She had pointed to herself.
She had rubbed her own thighs with a tear drop officially landing on her black cloak, "My dad — He had killed our mother, and you know what they did? instead of them mourning her, all forgotten about her, or either blamed me for her death, I don't even know where her body is at. But, I'm already prepared when our – your friends blame me for Anika's death, I'm just a damn screw up." She wiped her tears.
She didn't fucking understand how she had even made it this far in life. All she has done is nothing, but screw up.
Chad gently parted her legs apart despite struggling to just stand in between her legs, he tilted her chin upwards, "You're not a screw up, Angel. And, you have nothing to be blamed for. Okay, okay? You have been a victim of their abuse for so long, that it ends tonight, you're going to be alright. I love you, Angel." He had kissed the tip of her nose before he continued, "You're not responsible for the deaths that they have committed, you have no blame for your moms or Anika's death. The only ones who are responsible is your father and siblings not you, you're not a murderer, or responsible for their deaths. You loved your mother and Anika." He reassured her.
Naomi nodded her head in understanding before she spoken back to him, "I'm so scared that I won't make this out alive. . ." Her bottom lip had began trembling, exhaling her breath and getting serious, "Promise me something," Her breath had slowly hitched attempting not to break apart, her fingers were beginning to caress his face cheeks.
"Anything." He whispered back.
"If I don't make it out alive. . ." She attempted to hold in her sobs, but it was so damn difficult to hold them in, "That you'll fall in love, again. I promise that I won't be mad if you do, I want you to be happy." She attempted to give him a soft smile, but her lips couldn't curve upwards.
Chad had shook his very own head, voice immediately cracking at what she was asking him to do, "Don't say that." He was in denial, especially with what she was asking him to do.
Naomi had closed her eyes before opening them back up, "I know that you won't expect my death in the beginning, and you'll be sad for awhile, but you will eventually meet a nice girl, and fall in love with her, and will have a family with her. . ." She began speaking attempting not to break apart, "And, then when it's your time, we will meet again in the afterlife, and you can tell me all about her." She caressed his face cheeks, and gently began wiping his tears with her thumbs.
Chad has pulled his face away from her hands, exhaling his very own breath before he had spoken to her, "You're not going to die, Naomi. You're going to survive this because I say so. . ." His voice had cracked beginning to caress her face cheeks, "When I met you at that record shop, I just knew that you were the one for me, the girl that I want to marry and have a family with, I don't want that with anyone else, but you." His voice cracked.
Naomi opened her mouth only to be interrupted by him, "If something happens to you, I'll lose it. My heart will die beside yours." He revealed to her, "I'd never replace you, but I already know that you will survive this because you're so fucking strong, Naomi." He kissed the tip of her nose.
Naomi felt his fingers wiping her tears, "You think so?" She questioned him.
Chad had nodded his head, "I know so, you're a fighter and you're going to survive this. I love you, so much." He gently told her.
She wrapped her arms around his neck, a small smile appearing on her lips, "I love you so much, so much." Both leaned their heads as they had met into a kiss, it was gentle and very sweet.
A voice interrupting them, "Chad!? Come over here, so I can put an earpiece in your ear. We need all ears for this." Mark remarked.
Chad groaned as his girlfriend giggled.
He disappeared towards the front with the man that the talking of the males was heard all the way into the back, Naomi instantly noticed Sydney approaching her.
A sad smile on the woman's face, "You're a strong girl, Naomi. Don't ever doubt yourself, you aren't what your dad says." She overheard the entire conversation of the couples, and she had felt the urge to comfort Naomi.
Naomi shrugged her shoulders, "You spend knowing them for nineteen years, you believe the hurtful things said. . ." Her cheeks flushed red, "If I somehow survive this, I think I'd want to try therapy." She softly smiled.
Sydney gently approached her, "I could always give you my personal therapists, she's helped me these past years. . ." She had really wanted the best for this girl, "I'll give you her information later on." She had smiled at the teenage girl.
Naomi had nodded her head before she dug her hand underneath her cloak, she pulled out over ten letters that made her tear up, "I trust you enough with these. . ." Her hand was just so shaky, "I've written apology letters for Sam and Chad. Eight of them are for him, and two are for Sam." Her voice cracked handing them to the woman.
Sydney gently taken them, "Naomi—"
Naomi interrupted her, "Promise me that if things go wrong, and I don't survive that they will get these letters?" She was just practically begging her to listen.
Sydney gently shut her eyes, she felt so saddened for the girl who somehow had all these negative thoughts about herself, so she agreed to her terms, "I promise, Naomi." She calmly told the teenage girl.
Naomi stood up engulfing the woman into a hug, "Thank you for listening, and for coming all this way to help me, Sydney." She had felt Sydney wrapping her arms around her, and it felt so comforting.
It somehow had felt like a mothers hug for Naomi, or it reminded her of her mothers hugs.
A males voice had snapped the two girls out of this very comforting hug, "Are you ready, Naomi?"
